Getting back on topic... I'm indifferent on this whole anniversary deal. Never cared for RE1, was more into RE2, and the rest of the series has firmly been a "take it or leave it" deal for me.

NSO would probably be the more convenient these days, but I have a Retro AVS thing that I bought a couple years ago to play Famicom carts on... and a top loader... and a couple other clones. I'll alternate.

Unless I can play it on my screen, this is going to be a hard pass for me. I tried Virtual Boy as a younger fellow and it gave me a headache after five minutes. And I'm afraid even after all this time, I'm somewhat weery of anything involving a heavy piece of plastic on my face, so this is even more of a "thanks but no thanks." A shame, really, because there are some games I'd like to try that look fun.

As for the Game Awards... I've said it before and I shall say it again. Please wrap it up... and throw it in the bin.

@batmanbud2 I think it's mostly due to Nintendo's version being somewhat barebones in the feature set compared to Tengen's version, which had a variety of modes including 2-player gameplay. Even Game Boy had 2-player head-to-head via game link. Personally, I don't have an issue with this version; it's fine, but others have their preference.

It's a short video that demonstrates a game mechanic. No frills. No out of the blue foolishness. Just a plain jane mechanic in action. I found it quite refreshing.

Every company is terrible in their own special way. Therefore, no one should be supporting them on that basis. Other than that, I have no real opinion on the matter.

Collection is great, though. Never cared for the stylus gimmickry of Dawn, so I'm pleased that Magic Seals can be done with button prompts while retaining stylus functionality for those who'd want to keep it authentic and such. Haunted Castle remake also does a fine job of making a jank old arcade title seem much less jank. A nice surprise from Konami, for once.

How much of the movie budget went into this game instead?

This isn't going to be another Ninjabread Man/Anubis II/Rock N' Roll Adventures scenario where it's basically the same game under the hood, but they just swapped out the graphics, is it? Because that's what it looks like.

I'm sure the games will be fine since WayForward tends to do good stuff, but the whole thing comes across as interchangeable and generic. Here's hoping that's not actually the case.

Never played a Borderlands game, no real interest in the film, and while I generally wouldn't wish ill on any endeavor, when it comes to anything involving Randy-Bo-Dandy, I won't be shedding any tears in its floppiness.

If you want to use save states, it's fine.

If you want to do it the old-fashioned way, it's fine.
If you want to git gud, it's fine.
