Re: Atari Acquires Intellivision Brand And Rights To 200+ Titles

DoorToMundane

So I guess Amicovision is no longer a thing. A pity. I was looking forward to such cool jaw-dropping classics like Cornhole or Finnegan Fox*.

In all serious, the most I'm hoping out of this deal is that we get the Intellivision equivalent of an Atari 50 compilation. Not so much for the games, but more for the historical overview so people could about the brand beyond something that was prostituted to sell a bill of goods.

On an unrelated note... can Atari buy Coleco next?

*Yes, I already know about Fox N Forests. It didn't make my jaw drop.

@LadyCharlie It's worse on PC, which is a baffling 70GB (approximately). And the visual quality isn't any better than the old PC versions, which are still available for purchase on Steam or GOG for far cheaper, take up less space, and they still play wonderfully.

Sure, you don't have the extra maps and Hero Assault is relegated to a map or two, but that extra stuff simply didn't warrant the extra bloat. I love me some Battlefront and the more the merrier, but I'm more than content with the old PC versions.

Maybe I'll get the Switch version when it's on the cheap somewhere down the line, but right now, this deal is very bad and I'm glad to NOT be a part of it.

Re: Poll: Do You Think We'll Get A Nintendo Direct Next Week?

I voted New Mario Kart Tracks, moar Rabbids, and Something Else, on which I was prompted to leave a comment. I hope this satisfies that requirement.

In all seriousness, assuming that there is GBA and GC NSO on the horizon, any speculation as to whether it'll be part of the base service, the Expansion Pak, or will they make part of yet ANOTHER Expansion Pak that you have to pay extra for?

Re: Sega Releases New Sonic Origins Gameplay Footage, Out On Switch This June

The remastered Sonic 1 and Sonic 2 games on a proper platform with a gamepad is generally incentive enough to warrant a purchase. Not too keen on the coins gimmick, however, and pricing is a bit steep for my tastes. That, and I already have Sonic CD on Steam. Probably going to hold off on this one for a bit, as the pre-order bonuses aren't enough of a justification to jump the gun just yet.
