Eldin ring on my new steam deck. I’m taking a break from switch until I get bayonetta. and that might take a back seat if my souls addiction kicks in. There will be some smash matches with the kids mostly likely.
I wonder if this was for a days work, weeks work, months work? $4000 a month is still a $1000 a week. That’s more then I make and I’d love to be paid that much even if it was for a limited time. Any more work, I’d say she was under paid. But if she needed to do a weeks work in recording, little practice, then I’ve got 0 sympathy for her and I’d be more likely to boycott any future games, movies, etc, that she is involved in. a game developer making 50k a year makes less then we talking she could have been making. I’m still getting this game day 1.
I got my steamdeck today. been wanting to play Eldin ring and since I play more portable, I haven’t gotten far on my Xbox. But with steamdeck, I’m sure I’ll log 1000s of hours. After that, I will probably learn how to mod it to play some botw mods.
I don’t associate video games and music and more then I do movies and music. Yes, a well placed song can help a scene, but I also think it can hinder a scene as well. I used to play need for speed with the sound off but my own tunes on the stereo. I love to music in zelda games, it’s one of my favorite parts about the series. But as for listening to music because I heard it in a video game and want to hear it while I’m listening to my iPod, I can’t think of any songs besides 1, that I heard 1st in a video game and have looked up band and like 1 song by them…is at the beginning of borderlands, Cage the Elephant and “no rest for wicked”. I don’t like any other song on I’ve heard by them.
@HammerGalladeBro I do same thing anytime I want to buy something extra. It’s worth it. Bought at launch and since I okay a lot outside, it makes that so much better. Side note, I’ve been picking up shifts last couple weeks since I ordered a steam deck and officially just shipped this week. I’m curious to compare the 2, but as long as I can play eldin ring on the go, I’ll be happy.
I’ve tried to play this and have yet to get through the queue. 10000 players ahead of me. If this is the future of gaming, I feel bad for all you kids who just don’t know what it was like to just buy, own, and play games. not nickel and dime you for costumes until you have spent more then you would have if you had owned it. knock splatoon all you want, but within 5 minutes of turning on game, you are online playing. I’m hoping to try overwatch at some point.
I will never agree to the hate star fox zero got when a game like affordable space adventures exists. Both great games, both have high learning curve when it comes to controls, just like most new games you never played. However, fan boy whining, just like Metroid other m, ruined the game for some. I still enjoy it and keep my Wii U hooked up to play both those, as well as what I wanted to say as well, is devils third. Another great game that got review bombed and because it was on Wii U and not other consoles, it sucked. Well, it’s still a decent playing, fun experience that is a solid “B” in my book.
So I’m sure if it’s really an issue, it’ll be patched in a month or 2. The last video when he got him through the floor…isn’t that grating possible to drop through in squid form? So it would make sense that you can shoot through that. But not the bridges. At same time, who stands still and camps long enough for this to really be an exploit? I’ve had no issues with orb the 30 or so hours I’ve logged other then I’m completely addicted to it.
I’m happy I skipped splatoon 2. I enjoyed it on Wii U, and it was a nice break until 3. Now I play 3-5 matches a day and move on. Tons of fun. But I can’t play it for hours on end.
I used to play some zelda games without collecting heart containers after boss fights. Or I tried several times to play botw with 0 deaths, starting from beginning if I died. Sad that corporate people just have no clue sometimes.
This series was always a fun one to play from beginning to end in a sitting, maybe having to restart a couple times to make it, but great hour gaming sessions. metal slug is as well
I don’t think it is going to be as good as steamworld dig or the original shovel knight game, esp with all the extra content. I know I’ll buy it, but as someone else said, this isn’t what we were expecting a sequel to look Iike. Even gameplay looks, like this cheap couch co -op bundle i picked up with 4 games…
I just want to be able to play them on my switch, and for the most part, I can play the ones I want to. Not every game needs to redone and are just fine the way they are.
I’d rather just see a sequel to link between worlds instead of a remake of lttp. Or even just port lbtw to switch.
Is a switch 2 is not 100% backwards compatible, then I don’t care about graphics, our family has too much invested to think about getting another console. But I hope that Nintendo has learned from apple and steam and my music I bought 20+ years ago is still on my iPhone today, or my pc has steam games from as far back. Then I do hope for a bit better performance on some older games. Graphics don’t matter if the go back and increase resolution of doom 10 years later.
I have to agree, “ Mini is more than a car, you see; it's a character you partner with to explore the road”. I’ve owned 2 bmw’s, and while I love my truck, they were the best cars I’ve ever owned and driven. I always tell people it’s like they designed a bmw to be an extension of you. They ride like luxury cars even if you own a 20 year old one, but also can do 155mph, since I’m here in the USA.
I love these articles complaining about how wrong it is we can’t get in the eshop anymore, so to teach Nintendo a lesson, let’s give them more money for things we can’t actually own before we can’t access the store anymore. That’ll teach them.
@Ferdinand_Von_Aegir I have 4 kids and myself. My launch switch is the only one that has actually died. maybe before giving parenting advice, have some kids. They get older, learn how to play games, we need more systems:
I can stand these types of games every once in a while, but I could never get into borderlands. I think I’m going to pick up that game, silence, since it’s on sale and looks really good.
I’d be ok if we could just buy a switch console and not a dock. I have 2 extra docks not being used, 3 in use, and I will need to get another switch this year for one of my kids.
I rented it on nes but was not old enough to understand. However, I had a gameboy and at some point while in middle school, I got metroid 2. Best game on my gameboy! Played for probably 1000s or hours, using the magnifying light at night under the sheets. I played super Metroid at a friends and always was jealous I never had that. it wasn’t until prime 3 that I rediscovered my love for the series. I have got back and played all Metroid games countless times now except the remake on 3ds. I can’t bring myself to use that tiny little console anymore. Keep hoping it and some others(lbtw) will ported to switch someday.
Ok, so I had my doubts but after seeing the trailer, I am looking forward to this. I would love to get it for switch since I never seem to find time to really play my Xbox or ps anymore.
Back then, everyone was playing Diablo 2 and most still were even after Diablo 3 released. When the bar is set that high, games like this just didn’t hold up then, and don’t hold up now. Not saying it was bad back then, I played the first one, but I also played Diablo 2.
@raftos It’s because they fact it’s a Chinese company that matters. There are laws stating that public companies have to be 100% transparent with all its user info. Something like tik tok, can track you through other devices that are connected to your app’s IP address device. The US government and Facebook do not have to share info the same way. The US government is trying real hard to become like the CCP. I do not have social media since learning of these stuff years ago. I will not let tic tok on any of our kids devices.
Purchase like this are only bad for us everyday people. I am not a criminal, but to not think that any government should ever be able to track everyday citizens or ever another countries government. Read the fine print, even Joe Rogan did a video a couple weeks ago about this. Probably 2 billion downloads too late.
Nfts are just like a type of money laundering. Same as for some large art purchases. Companies can be so corrupt and I hope no normal person pays for something like this.
Never been a favorite of mine. I enjoy all Mario games, but when I start thinking about my favorites, that one drops down on my list quick. It has the least use of the 3 on Mario Allstars with 4 of us who play.
I have moved on from my 3ds and will never go back. Not even to actually play samus returns. I’ve played everything else plenty of times, and the only game I’ll miss if it never comes to switch or anything else will be zelda lbtw. But I’ll never go back to playing that hand cramping, eye watering tiny little console. My kids got some use out of it, but they all have switch’s and have moved on too. I’ve lost plenty of digital purchases over they years, and apple and steam and the only companies that do digital right in my opinion. I still have the same music collection for 20 years each time I change phones/iPods. My pc is no different. Nintendo said switch will be a new thing. Hopefully I’ll be playing botw on my switch 3.0 along side with botw 2 and 3, or whatever the next, next zelda is someday.
Our Wii U the was technically powered on more then our tv. It was our family entertainment for several years. Yes, has a ps3/4 and used them for the occasional games Wii U missed and I could play on those. However, for what it was, a supplement tv/gaming console, it has a great library of 1st party and indies, some random decent 3rd party games, Netflix, YouTube, browser, et…. It was the entertainment center piece for my wife and kids as well as my 300+ games. I was so happy botw still came to it so I didn’t have to share my new switch.
Today, we have 4 switch’s, 2 vr headsets, and then there is our Wii U, still sitting next to the Xbox 1, which I have to swap hdmi cables more often then you’d think so my kids can use it between my occasional elder ring gaming.
@Serpenterror the eshop outage thing never bothered me, but I still whip out the ol Wii for some waggle fun every couple months. actually just played contra rebirth and Mega man 9 like 2 weeks ago.
I never liked it. When it was first announced, it had a completely different art style. Then when it actually was showcased, and it looked like it did, I and plenty of others were upset. If you preordered it, you got the oot master quest 4 pack, which I loved, and could never get into wind waker. Even as a mature adult, when I finally played it 100% on the Wii U, it still is my least fav zelda game. I appreciate it a bit more and can see why people liked it. But it was still a disappointment after seeing what they originally revealed.
I’m not watching this and only clicked this to comment on Nintendo is getting exactly what they want out of this. Fans and internet YouTubers are all talking about it, Nintendo is notorious for being late to the party, and after all these other devs show off their stuff, Nintendo will have all eyes on whatever they may do. I personally think they waiting just for us to hype it for them.
These are the crimes of tomorrow and theft hurts everyone. Criminals should be punished according. I wonder where the 14 million comes from if he only had 300k? Unless a criminal is lying about how much he made and they proved it in court, so he was fined 14mil. Or if he only made 300k over 7 years, why not just get a job that because that’s not exactly a lot of money over that amount of time…
@Lizuka I have this issue with 4 switch’s in the house and we don’t own every game for every person. I’m constantly connecting my phone just to have a dlc pack to a physical game verify before being able to play while on the go. It should only need that if it’s been over a week of offline like the nes apps.
As a lifelong gamer, as long as you treat it like a hobby(unless it’s your job) and don’t let it run your life, then gaming is a great hobby that can be enjoyed by any ages. My late grandparents had multiple systems and used to fight over games to the pointy hey would buy a second system and game. I play with my kids and always thought I’d outgrow it. But instead, thanks Nintendo, gaming has only grown alongside me. Anything in moderation is ok.
@jorel262 they were not Lego sets, action figure castle play sets. Either way, they are all toys and would only be purchased to play with. one for example…
All of these people should watch toy story 2. Toys/games are meant to be played. If you actually want to play something you own, then do it.
I bought my kids a coupe Mario action figure sets, castles, a bunch of stuff, like $300 worth, a gigantic Metroid etc…. The guys at the store could not believe I was going to take the toys out of the box and let my kids use them. They be crying to see how a 5 and 3 year old play with toys.
@Ryan_Again I just keep replaying it under different conditions I set for myself. This time I’m playing hero mode, getting master sword and shield, then straight to Ganon. No divine beast help, no warping. I’ve already beat it 100% hero mode, with bike, and everything else except korok seeds, I’ll never 100% those. It ruined me for other adventure games except for the souls games.
Well, I guess I’m in the minority. Nothing about it makes me want to pay anything extra. I wouldn’t be getting the basic in first place if I did have to for the few online games we do play. The nes apps don’t get used more then 2x a year.
I am basically a bot for games like this. I enjoy playing them for free and don’t care about skins. I hold my own but get bored with the repetitive nature of fps so I don’t pay anything. But I am there to shoot. I love hearthstone, it’s the only game I’ve played for years on my iPhone. And it’s free
This game can’t keep a constant frame rate in our Xbox,, I’d be shocked it doesn’t crash every time you start a battle. If it runs good, then it will be a hit in our house.
As long as it is 100% backwards compatible, I’ll be getting whatever it is. If not, I’ll be getting it for me, but not investing in 4 others for my kids. They can play switch until they get jobs and move out and can sink thousands of $$ into the hobby for the family.

Re: Random: Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Easter Egg Showcases Nintendo's Eye For Detail
Re: Nintendo President Says "Most" North American Switch Online Users Have Upgraded To The Expansion Pack
Well, I guess I’m in the minority. Nothing about it makes me want to pay anything extra. I wouldn’t be getting the basic in first place if I did have to for the few online games we do play. The nes apps don’t get used more then 2x a year.
Re: EA's Live Service Battle Royale Game Has Now Generated $2 Billion In Earnings
Re: Konami Just Recorded Its Most Profitable Year Ever
@UltimateOtaku91 still a bit more $$ then I’ve got.
Re: Totally Accurate Battle Simulator Promises A "Wobbly Experience" On Switch This Summer
This game can’t keep a constant frame rate in our Xbox,, I’d be shocked it doesn’t crash every time you start a battle. If it runs good, then it will be a hit in our house.
Re: Nintendo Says It Wants To Avoid A Repeat Of Wii U With Switch's Successor
As long as it is 100% backwards compatible, I’ll be getting whatever it is. If not, I’ll be getting it for me, but not investing in 4 others for my kids. They can play switch until they get jobs and move out and can sink thousands of $$ into the hobby for the family.
