I have experienced drift, and Nintendo has also fixed several for me at no charge. Over 1000s of hours of gaming on the 3 switches in our house, I have worn it a few pro controllers as well as joy cons. It’s part of gaming. I replaced plenty of ps controllers to.

@NedBundy based on the 4/10, I don’t think I had to look hard at the review to agree that it is a lazy port. It’s a ps2 game. Personally, review bad or not, I would have bought this if it wasn’t $60. Or if i could get just 1 game. I guess it’s another thing to harp on.

@KillerBOB what’s funny is I was think about posting the same thing. It sounds more like we expected them to actually make the originals better, but all I remember is how sad the frame rate was on my friends ps2 playing this, compared to anything I was playing on my pc at the time. They could have actually made these games better, but sounds like a direct port with only hd graphics.

I’m going to try to find article, but I remember reading, probably on this site, how after Wii/u/ds/3ds generation, NX was starting at 0. Switch didn’t have its name yet, but I do remember Nintendo stating that the next generation was going to be more like apple and iPads then independent console generations. I took that to mean that like a pc or iPad, the switch 2 someday will be able to play switch 1 games. A switch 3 will play 2 and 1 games and so on. I can still play Starcraft on my pc, as well as Starcraft 2. Like 4 PCs later, I can still play it. but that how I see the future of Nintendo.

I speak with my wallet. I am not lazy and earn money that am not going to give to someone for a product I find to be sub par.

@munstahunta you get game pass for free? I have to pay for it. And unlike my switch, my Xbox is at home while my switch is with me most of the time.

I’m just getting it digital. Its a game I know as long as I have a switch, I’ll want to just have at the ready. Fun for just running around and causing havoc in the city

@CactusMan @aznable this game is like dark souls was. No hints, just a world to explore and figure out. Set up camp, clear a field, and kill rabbits…expand slow. Set up a farm and grow, get puke guys for fishing. Just go slow, it might take 15-20 days to leave first island. Soon, you be down to 6-7. explore multiple islands before trying to take down portals. Build strong walls and lots of archers. I’ve logged maybe 1000 hours between both on switch and usually pick it up every couple months for a while still.

@BlueOcean batteries drain while looking at your phone, posting comments on websites. This isn’t the real world either…

I will be trying this but I doubt I will spend any money on it either.

@Specter_of-the_OLED but it sounds like you could play a gba game in your tv…with a witness controller. Not for me, but cool either way.

I do talk with my money, and Nintendo is not getting any extra out of me for the expansion pack. Dislikes don’t matter if people still purchased it and disliked the video.

Just finished 1st play through. Just under 9 hours, no guides and only about an hour of retrying to nail final boss so I’ve beat him 4 times now. Great game, everything a Metroid fan could want from a new game. I feel like there is a hint towards zero mission coming to switch, why would they picture it at end? either way, going to replay on hard mode and then I think I’m going to replay other m since dread kind of reminds me of it in the action department.

Well, after playing the demo on my phone, I went home and replayed it just to see. And it ran just fine both times. I am picking this up once it drops to like $20. I am not a fan of cloud games, but even buying this for $60,in Xbox then selling it for $40 in a few months, at least I’ll still be able to play again if I want someday. Still not a fan of cloud future…

@Zuljaras I feel like Diablo was a pc exclusive…but I can play it on switch too. I’m confused.

All I know is it’s more Diablo on switch, so we bought 2 copies. Anyone who thinks switch is inferior because of graphics, then goes and plays this on a ps5 in legacy mode, has no credibility.

Once you’ve played smash, most other fighters just aren’t quite as good.

I feel this way with many of Nintendo’s series for some reason…

This one I will be getting once it’s on sale. I love these movies and I know it will get played by a couple of us here, I just don’t like the idea of paying full price to rent a game. Our internet works just fine to stream them, I just don’t like this direction that gaming is going.

@arekdougy that’s my thought, my launch switch has been abused so much over the 5+ years, I am amazed it has no scratches. Broken air vent guard, kickstand, and cartridge cover are all broken or missing, but the screen and it’s protector keep it looking like new.

Sadly, after actually seeing that list, I’d be paying to play maybe 2 games. Nothing else interests me enough to justify that price.

These memory complaints are just dumb. Since n64 era, I’ve been managing storage on every device, pc, console, whatever it is. My iPhone runs out if space, need to clean up photos and games. My ps3 needed a 100 gb hard drive, my Xbox and it’s 500gb is out of room and needs to be managed. My switch went from 256gb on launch day to a 1tb about a year ago. Guess what, it’s filling up. When I get an oled, I’m probably just getting a 2tb as well and someday, it might be full as well.
At same time, not every person will need 2tb on their switch and Nintendo is smart for not having those people pay for extra onboard memory and giving them the option of s cheap 64gb if they wanted.

it’s still a great game, just not a great Metroid game, but a great action game that takes place in the Metroid universe. The gameplay, graphics, overall it is a decent game. It just that with unskippable cutscenes and them turning Sami’s into a whiny protagonist instead of the badass she is, it ruined the game for fans who were hoping for a sequel to super Metroid, which is how they sold it…
I also will say I beat it more times then the prime games, and even 100%/0% completed it on hard mode. It’s a great action game, and I’d love to see a port on switch.

All these articles and yet people still buy and proudly wear Nike, despite being a corrupt corporation.
If you are a worker for anyone else, odds are you are under paid, under appreciated, and over worked.

I am not impressed. I will prob sign up for a year but not renew. Cheaper then starting a n64 collection to play a few of these games, but in no way am I ok with the pricing of this a Nintendo is really going to have to do a better job with their online services in the near future for me to pay that a second time…

And us regular people, who couldn’t get a pre-order, have checked 5 local stores, more then once on a couple, and still don’t have one.

As someone who has replaced multiple disc drives, monitors on laptops/ds, and my own joy cons, it would be nice to see official videos instead of randoms. But I’m one of those randoms, and my systems still work today.
When you want to keep a Wii/u and it’s nearing 400 game library alive, you might want to learn a couple of these things too.

I will only on a 90% sale someday, as with all cloud and most digital purchases. I have no issues playing cloud games, and even playing piggybacking off my phone. Cloud gaming is the future, just like Netflix has taken over dvds. Who here still gets dvds in the mail, as who streams them? 10 more years and we won’t have physical games and everything will be through the cloud or purchased and downloaded digitally.

Sneaky Nintendolife, I had to read the entire thing to to see that waluigi is at the bottom, and he has the best final smash of anyone.
Most of that list is not going to happen at all, or prob not.
I don’t care who it is. I will be playing whoever it ends up being, and it doesn’t matter who they add, since people will still complain because _________ isn’t on the roster.

It needs folders. Outside that, I’m fine with it the way it is. I prefer my switch in basic white, but keep my iPhone on dark mode. But just give us folders, and we will stop complaining. Yay for anything else, but just give us folders. I also think all Nintendo should do is allow us to use screen shots as a background. How hard could that be to program?

I guess I can always play my Wii U copy of the 1st one since it’s just sitting there if I get to itch to play another one of these games other then the second. The spin off one(I can’t remember the name because it’s not Diablo)was like that to me.

This reminds me of battalion wars and I’m sold. Day 1 and all of a sudden Metroid won’t be the only game i play next month.

And I just lost any respect I had towards him and any of his movies by trying to make a kids movie/video game seem racist.

This gives us hope that killer instinct, 007, perfect dark, conkers, and more I’m sure, might make it to the n64 library someday too.

A couple of decent games back then, but I doubt they held up to today’s games. I will prob get these on sale someday if they review well.

I only buy these games on sale, and yet I still own none of them since I always feel like they still over priced.

All I can say is day 1 for both Metroid and oled. Need to get another switch for the house so I guess I’ll have to suffer with the new one since my 5 year old pretty much claimed my launch switch over the summer.

Not like I was a huge fan, but GH is a fun series to play with other people. I still have 2 guitars that get dug out a couple times a year. However, today, we play beat saber and Friday night (one of my kids is obsessed), so the music genre isn’t completely dead. Have to say if beat saber had guitar heroes library, it would be 10x better. Sadly I’m not a fan of a lot of the songs.

I’m not paying $5 to upgrade child of light to the switch version. Every sale, same price. It’s a great, quick rpg I can beat on my Wii U, and I’m cheap.

Prime 2 is the only one I never completed, and I’m looking forward to replaying all these on my switch someday. I could on my Wii U, but my gamepad doesn’t work in the car like my switch

I’ll never get all the seeds, outside that, I’ve beaten the game several times, at various completion %, and will continue playing it just as long as I can play video games. I replay zelda games like I have a problem. I could probably give up all video games beside the zelda series.

Everyone above: More games will mean more system sales too.

This is a worldwide problem in more then just the electronics industry. Every industry is breaking down, shortages, long waits on orders, increased prices.
I am hoping to get a launch switch oled. I could not get a preorder and am hoping I can get one at my work, but every once in a while, we get word of like 10 ps5’s that arrived, and even us workers go on break and stand in line just to have them gone before we can get one. I am hoping to pick up both Metroid and oled switch at the same time.

@Highlar it was a lot of fun. Played both xbox and switch and enjoyed both. Kind of like a Metroid style game. Backtracking and exploring and alien planet.

As I played the 2nd, I’m good with only picking up 1 of them for switch anyways. it will end up being physical(to resell) or digital on sale.

I owned a gameboy fat and 20+ games and played it until the ds came out. Moved onto that system and 3ds etc…. Now, there also 0 gameboy games I want to replay. There are gameboy advance games I’d like to play as I missed most of those, but personally, I see no use from gameboy being added, as it’s a step backwards from even the nes, and a lot of the games just don’t hold up. I regretted the few I bought for my 3ds and would not be excited.
and I guess I am one of the few who bought a Wii U and has over 300 games for it, and I think I own all past Metroids, but without checking, I can’t be certain. I feel like both gba metroids came to Wii U.

The big hype from gamescom is a obvious extra player and a 6 month wait for it.

Considering I watched a video about this fraud issue, and I am poor, I paid $40 for a game and watch version and with my other several versions I have on 10 other devices, I probably paid $5 for, I guess I would pay $100 for a mint copy. But others who have tons of money, and want to create an artificial market, well, they can pay $2million if they want.
if these videos are to be believed, someone who rated the game, bought the game, went on a pr campaign to promote this market of retro games. Now all is suckers who have a game that thinks it’s worth money, are paying these same people to have their rated. And these rating companies are making money off buying their own products, and acting like this game is really worth $2million.
This is capitalism at its finest and it’s also why I choose to not spend money with certain companies.

Just watched trailer, putting down phone, picking up switch. Must buy this!
