Double Dragon 3 for me... I will get Fates when I finally get around to beating Awakening lol. Just a few more chapters. I have gotten sucked into Pokemon for the longest time that my Backlog got ignored lol
@rdrunner1178 I live in CA but both locations are hours away from me. Irvine is closer but that is still over 2 hours of driving (One way) just to lose at a game I haven't played before lol
So... what do you guys think of Let's Plays? If anything what this guy does requires more work than Let's Plays and this provides more original content than Let's Plays, but people seem to be more ok about Let's Plays than this. People that know me, probably know which side of the fence I am on, just wondering about others.
I feel this only addresses the NX as a Home Console, not taking into account that the NX could be a Portable or Micro Console. I feel those two markets are a lot more open for Nintendo this year than a Home Console would be.
VR is just about the only thing that I can think of that I would want to be completely optional in a game. Many other features need to be mandatory for certain types of games, but VR is something that I think can be completely optional.
I don't remember Dementium 2 being announced. This is awesome news. I actually sold my physical copies a few months ago and they will more than pay for these remasters. Hopefully Dementium 2 does a lot better and we can hear a Dementium 3 announcement soon.
I am surprised there has been so much discussion about something that equates to almost nothing. It doesn't change gameplay or story, just an optional character skin. This was a business decision and most likely related to the age rating which that wanted for the product. If you were buying this product for this one feature, then there are other products you might be more interested in.
I see the game is rated T. With these costumes it probably would have gotten a "Partial Nudity" tag and bumped up to M. Probably the biggest reason for the "censorship"
@EllenJMiller Will it distract from your enjoyment of the product? How different would it be if they didn't tell you localization was done and just did it? Even if things are changed, they aren't going to drastically effect the story most of the time. Some older localization got pretty bad but we have come a long way from that.
"Super Mario Maker, Mario Party 10 and Yoshi's Woolly World games for the Wii U system, as well as the The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes and Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer games for the Nintendo 3DS system."
Well I only own 2 of those games... guess I won't get to participate.
@XCWarrior I too own tons of Indie Wii U and 3DS games. There are some fantastic games out there.
EA, Activision, and Ubisoft are mainly publishers. Most of the games they "flood" the market with are games they are publishing which is different. RCMADIAX is a developer. RCMADIAX isn't paying a bunch of people to release a bunch of different games. They are paying themselves to release these games. I don't know how large RCMADIAX is, if it is only 1 person like it seems to be or if they are a team of people. They have released something like 9 games in 2 years. That is crazy fast. I feel that is too fast to make quality products. They need to slow down and make something of quality. Blok Drop U is probably his most popular game but I don't think a single release from RCMADIAX since Blok Drop U has matched it quality.
If Profit is just making more money than you put into developing a product then I can defiantly see how all his games are profitable, I do not think he spent that much on actual development. But is RCMADIAX making enough to pay all its employees a fair wage? Do RCMADIAX employees make as much a year as other indie companies? I don't know. So how much Profit is RCMADIAX making after paying wages?
If RCMADIAX wants to fix their image then they need to take all this profit they have made from their 9 other games and put that towards making 1 quality release. Rather than releasing 9 games in two years for a few bucks each, how about they make 1 quality game in that amount of time and sell it for $10. I know indie development can be expensive and time consuming (the reason I haven't released anything) but if they are making profit why do RCMADIAX games drop in quality and scope compared to their original release Blok Drop U.
I want to give RCMADIAX a shot. I want them to do well but flooding the market with these small games is not the way to improve.
@XCWarrior Flooding a digital shop refers to releasing multiple sub-par products in a short amount of time. If he has made profit on every game he has sold, then I wonder what he defines profit as. Also I wonder why he got mad at the Nintendo fanbase and claimed he was going to stop releasing games on Wii U. If he was making profit then why would he turn his backs on his audience?
@XCWarrior I totally agree, but it has lead to him flooding the eShop with sub par titles that people don't want. It probably would have been better to bundle them all together, it would have made his releases much less often which would mean less bad publicity and people getting more bang for their buck.
@Kaze_Memaryu They are generally considered cheap but it would have been a better value for everyone to release 1 game collection compared to releasing each of those games separately. Reviews for about a third of his games have been decent. I think people would purchase a cheap game collection and been happy with the third of games being decent. Instead he floods the market with products no one wants and drags his name through the mud.
I feel like RCMADIAX should have put all these games into 1. Rather than charging $2 a game, just charge us $10 for 10 games. It probably would have been a better value and gotten more sales. But cheap games releasing this often just makes them feel not worth it.
I am hoping that after this developers demand more respect from publishers. If publishers/developers are going to have to treat voice actors (which is a small part of the overall development of a product) with more respect then developers should be able to demand more respect from publishers. This could be the door opening to a new games infustry, an industry where people are actually valued for their work and not just thrown out like trash after a project is completed. I don't understand why the Game Industry has formed unions.
I kinda want to see this happen. I want to see how it affects the AAA industry (how they won't have voice actors or at least the good ones) and to see if it wakes the entire industry up to either start seriously talking about unions or at least trying to get better working conditions from publishers.
I find this list to be really hard to read compared to normal, mostly the sales. I also dislike that they do not show the sale price on some of those items.
I am starting to think the 3DS version might have enough unique content to justify its purchase but I would like confirmation. I finally completed the Hyrule Warriors story, not I just have the extra DLC stories to go lol
@TheRealThanos I guess you haven't played Gears of War 3. I think Gears of War 1 even had a lot of those assets, just wasn't that bright. EDIT: I was also talking about the assets, not the lighting effects.
I don't like it. It looks too weird. If they didn't use standard Unreal assets (which mainly look like Gears of War assets) and created Metroid looking assets maybe it wouldn't look as weird.
Don't bite the hand that feeds you. You can't expect to speak poorly about important people in the company and keep your job. It isn't about "issues with company culture" it is just about how you present yourself especially when representing a company. I would like to know if he got permission to appear on this Podcast or if the "laxed" rules change made him think he didn't need to ask for permission. I would never want to represent a company without direct permission from some of the top people in a company.
I hope this doesn't cause other Crowd-funded games to start dropping the Wii U after getting a lot of support from Wii U owners. (Looking at you Road Redemption)
Sounds like personal preference and not actual reasons. I like the GamePad's wider design, smaller controllers feel too crowded to me. I also find I am more likely to hit the wrong button on the Pro Controller compared to the GamePad. Just personal preference.

I am still waiting for a few kickstarters to deliver but this one I would back.
