Re: No Gravity Games Is Handing Out 12 Free Switch Games This Month (North America)

DefHalan

I have Nova-111 on Wii U and enjoyed it. So I would be interested to see what else they have to offer. I signed up for the newsletter but haven't received the code yet. Thinking of getting Sorcery to get in on the discounts. Seems like you can see exactly what games they will be giving away as they say there will be going on discount after they are given away, and there are exactly 12 games of theirs not on sale

Re: Pokémon Trading Card Game Live 'Limited Beta' Starts In Canada Next Week

@SwitchplayerJohn just to let you know, it is not The Pokemon Company making this app. It is The Pokemon Company International, who did not have a software development team before making this app. The previous Pokemon TCG Online app was made and maintained by Dire Wolf Digital. Which is why they are not targeting the Switch as a platform yet. They have new developers trying to make a new game for the first time. Hopefully, in the future they will port it to Switch

Re: Editorial: No, Nintendo Switch Isn't Having a 'Soft Launch', But The Perception is a Problem

DefHalan

Lack of Major Online Features at Launch. Lack of Software at launch. (there is still software, just not very much) It may not be a technical soft launch, but it sure feels like it. Viewing it as a Soft Launch actually makes me more hopeful for the console this holiday. If I view this as a full launch and what I should expect for the system throughout its life cycle... I am disappointed. (obviously plans can change and maybe later the system will get better, like the 3DS did, but there is also a chance for things to get worst, like the Wii U) This is a soft launch because the system sounds like it won't be fully functional at launch. I believe the Xb1 and PS4 had similar launches but features were fully functional a lot sooner.

Re: My Nintendo Picross: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess Now Available 'Indefinitely'

DefHalan

This is kinda disappointing. I got Zelda Picross and really enjoyed it. I highly recommend it. The disappointing part is, I thought when it would be removed from My Nintendo, a different game would take its place. Now that this won't ever expire, they probably won't have another game like this available on my Nintendo, and this will just stay the only unique My Nintendo offer.

Re: Review: Metroid Prime: Blast Ball (3DS)

DefHalan

@3MonthBeef Well, in a lot of interviews they say how Blast Ball is a good way to get use to the fantastic controls they have. So the probably released that early (and have a small "Pilot Training" part that is more like a tutorial for single-player) to counter the "I don't understand these controls" arguments people will be throwing at the game, like they did for Star Fox.

I really enjoy Blast Ball. I also wonder if people that aren't enjoying it mainly play single player games? The Ball feels heavy and difficult to move, which makes teamwork important on both offense and defense. Some of the items are a little OP but overall it is a very enjoyable experience
