Re: Super Mario Galaxy 1 + 2 Prices Are Live, And It's Sticker Shock Time

Look I love Galaxy 1 and 2 but I already own the first game in the 3D collection and I still have 2 on the Wii.

If the only enhancement is 4k, it's kind of a tough sell for that price, especially since they can both be emulated really easily at higher resolutions.

If the collection was like $40 or $50 it would be perfectly reasonable in my eyes.

I feel like this game is going to be the Arms of the Switch 2; a neat concept that plays fun but doesn't have enough meat on the bones.
Difference is this is priced much cheaper compared to Arms at launch, so that may help this game a lot more, but I guess we'll see.

Re: Does Astro Bot's Super Mario 'Inspiration' Cross A Line? Fans Seem Divided

A lot of games take inspiration from other games, that's what happens when so many games are produced a year.

People posting videos like the one embedded in the article do it for the sake of drumming up drama. Astro is a great game and deserves to be in the same conversation as Nintendo's platformers with the charm and just flat out fun. We need more games like this from other developers.

I agree with DF's review. The game's visual's and ost are absolutely beautiful and a great, faithful recreation of the original game on the SNES.

The frame drops, while like John says, could be due to the lack of resolution scaling, are not that big of a deal breaker since they mostly happen during exploration and not during combat, or at least that's how I feel during my time playing it.
