Really hoping the yapping npc detailed in IGN's preview is something that's temporary, cause if he's around for the whole game, it would be a deal breaker for me.
Look I love Galaxy 1 and 2 but I already own the first game in the 3D collection and I still have 2 on the Wii.
If the only enhancement is 4k, it's kind of a tough sell for that price, especially since they can both be emulated really easily at higher resolutions.
If the collection was like $40 or $50 it would be perfectly reasonable in my eyes.
I mean, Bananza is still a fun game regardless of the framedrops it has, so I doubt a few framedrops and stutters in Elden Ring is going to detract from the overall experience on Switch 2.
I feel like this game is going to be the Arms of the Switch 2; a neat concept that plays fun but doesn't have enough meat on the bones. Difference is this is priced much cheaper compared to Arms at launch, so that may help this game a lot more, but I guess we'll see.
I watched the video this morning and John praised a lot of the game's mechanics, art direction and music. Nothing wrong with being critical regarding performance. It's not a bad game in the slightest and I'm sure there's a few things the devs could iron out in post launch patches.
This is why I invested in an 8bitdo controller, in case my Smash themed Pro Controller starts to get drift that inhibits gameplay. It has drifted here and there while playing Splatoon 3, but only a little bit.
I feel like Sakurai is the type of guy that still enjoys receiving a console on release day, and prefers to own a retail console in his personal collection.
I totally get what the article is trying to state, but when other things like issues and questions arise around a console, they're going to be more of a focus rather then the features of a console.
A lot of games take inspiration from other games, that's what happens when so many games are produced a year.
People posting videos like the one embedded in the article do it for the sake of drumming up drama. Astro is a great game and deserves to be in the same conversation as Nintendo's platformers with the charm and just flat out fun. We need more games like this from other developers.
@nessisonett PC mods also help both extend a game's life and generate interest for people that may not have either known or had any interest in said game or IP.
And making mods even lands people development jobs (i.e. Sonic Mania for example).
Seven years old. I remember getting the Switch on launch day and being so flabbergasted at the fact that you can just put it on it's dock and play it on your TV so seamlessly.
As someone that loves the high difficulty of Salmon Run, I'm glad Side Order will be tough. To me, Splatoon pve content is at it's best when it's really difficult.
Honestly I think Palworld can co-exist with Pokemon. I feel the only reason they're paying attention to it is because the game is really popular and sold a lot of copies. I know people are talking about the whole asset thing but still.
My cousin randomly suggested this game to be a long time ago and I bought it on Steam and played it and I thought it was a fun little game for a few dollars.
I love the Banjo games, but the chance of us getting a new game feels incredible slim. Back when Banjo was added to Smash, the chances felt way higher, but it's been how many years since then and nothing.
I agree with DF's review. The game's visual's and ost are absolutely beautiful and a great, faithful recreation of the original game on the SNES.
The frame drops, while like John says, could be due to the lack of resolution scaling, are not that big of a deal breaker since they mostly happen during exploration and not during combat, or at least that's how I feel during my time playing it.

Re: Donkey Kong Bananza Director Acknowledges Performance Drops: "We Prioritized Fun And Playability"
I get what he's saying, but this is a first party exclusive title, the performance should be ironed out since it's developed for only one system.

Re: Random: Ouch! Switch 2 Owners Are Feeling The Pinch With The New Joy-Con
Either Nintendo makes the magnets really strong and it pinches fingers or the magnets are too weak and the joycons fall out from the faintest pull.
People will complain either way.
Re: Random: Switch 2 Owners Are Already Stripping Down Joy-Con To Check The Stick Tech
This is why I invested in an 8bitdo controller, in case my Smash themed Pro Controller starts to get drift that inhibits gameplay.

Re: Hands On: Should 'Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour' Be A Pack-In Game?
It should come with every Switch 2. Astro Bot was with every PS5 and both the Steam Deck and Valve Index had free introductory games with each device.

Re: Poll: Are You Bothered By The Frame Rate In Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom?
I haven't played Echoes yet but I do remember Link's Awakening having quite a few frame drops back when I played it.
Kinda surprised they didn't iron out the frame drops in Echoes since it's essentially the same engine.

I feel the game should be $40 at most.

The Switch version has a lot of great visual enhancements that give it a really nice new coat of paint. Shame that the Switch version isn't 60 fps.

Same with Citra.

Re: Xbox Acknowledges Fan Requests For New Banjo-Kazooie Game
Ah yes, the usual Spencer word soup.
