I haven't played a Pokemon game since SoulSilver, which is my favorite in the series, and I'm tempted to buy Sword since I have no experience with anything after the DS era.
The fact that the game is like an RPG is tempting me lmao.
That and my job kinda slows down during the winter months so this would be perfect to keep me in peak shape for the busy spring/summer months of my work.
Huh, the Switch version is 32 gigs? If my memory serves me right, the base game, two expansion, the free DLC and all of the updates were around 80 gigs on the PS4.
People that make "Is it possible to..." and "Can you beat X with/without Y" videos get a lot of credit from me. Being able to think outside the box to solve mysteries and beat games in non-conventional ways is impressive.
Pretty cool that they have a reversible cover. I'm not a huge fan of the all yellow box art with the smiley face, so having an alt cover with some nice art work on it is a plus.
I give a lot of credit to NetherRealm these days for packing a lot of single player content in their fighting games.
But, they tend to have quite a lot of DLC for their games. At least they learned from MKX and included all of the characters in the higher edition of the games. I remember MKX's premium and collector editions only netting you the first Kombat Pack, Goro and a few costumes. The second Kombat Pack and the rest of the DLC costumes were not included.
Injustice 2's Ultimate edition had every DLC character included, from Red Hood and Sub-Zero all the way to the TMNT turtles. Hopefully MK11's Premium Edition follows Injustice 2's footsteps and not MKX's.
Good lord there's so much hate here, it's like ice creeping into my veins, trying to solidify my meaty, pumping heart.
Nintendo has their Directs, Microsoft has their Inside Xbox, Sony has their State of Play.
I mean, they all went to E3 for years cause they knew it was a big gaming event. Now streams are the big thing, so all three are going to that. Sony following down the path should be no surprise.
When I first saw the article, my initial thought was "Welp, probably through LRG or one of those limited release companies that release a small batch of a game and it sells out in literal seconds. Just to be found on ebay with the classical markup".
I'm glad I was wrong. Fangamer does a great job on making sure people that want the physical copies and CEs can get one.

Re: Round Up: The Pokémon Sword And Shield Reviews Are In, And It's Not As Bad As You Feared

Re: Review: Garfield Kart Furious Racing - A Rancid, Regurgitated Hairball Of A Racer
Lmao.
I'm sorry but I had to chuckle when I saw that score.
Re: Review: New Super Lucky's Tale - The Perfect Tonic For Jaded Modern Gamers
From what I've seen, the game has a ton of charm and interesting mechanics.
I'll probably get it in the future.
Re: Dr. Mario World's Latest Update Adds Donkey Kong And Diddy Kong
Dr. Donkey Kong are words I never thought I'd see.
Re: Poll: Nintendo's Ring Fit Adventure Is Out Today, Are You Getting It?
I may pick it up in the near future.
Re: Pokémon Sword And Shield Will Feature New Gigantamax Forms Of Charizard, Pikachu And More
The long Meowth kills me lmao.
Re: Review: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Complete Edition - An Incredible Action-RPG Stands Strong On Switch
Great review @ShogunRok
Knowing CDPR, they're probably working on a patch to help sturdy some of the framerate drops.
Re: Random: Japanese Fans Are Likening Smash Ultimate's Terry To A Burly Pokémon Trainer
@Optimusultimus Sure if we count appearance and playstyle in Smash, but in Fire Emblem the difference becomes much more clearer.
Re: Random: Japanese Fans Are Likening Smash Ultimate's Terry To A Burly Pokémon Trainer
You can see where they're coming from with Terry and Pokemon Trainer's similar clothing.
I mean, remember when everyone was saying Lucina is just a female Marth?
Re: Miyamoto Wanted Mario Maker Gameplay In Zelda, So Aonuma Created The Chamber Dungeon
It's a neat feature, but not exactly something that will push copies of Link's Awakening on it's own.
Unless I'm wrong and just dissed the hardcore Chamber Dungeon community, which I apologize for.
Re: Review: The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening - A Magical Remastering Of A Series Highlight
9/10 is pretty good. Great review.
The frame rate issues can always be patched, similar to Breath of the Wild's frame rate drops around launch.
Can't wait for my copy to arrive tomorrow!

Re: Gallery: A Closer Look At Ring Fit Adventure, Nintendo's Shiny New Switch Toy
So if I buy this and use it every single day
Will I look like that fitness dragon in the last screenshot?
If not, then the product is a failure. 2/10 I did not become a world ending dragon that can do 300 pushups all in one set.
Re: Exclusive: Check Out Yooka-Laylee And The Impossible Lair's Most Amusing New Tonic
I like it. Seeing enemies with huge googly eyes makes me giggle.
Re: Random: Child Left Horrified As Parents Mercilessly Cut Into His Eevee Cake
@BANJO Thankfully we have cameras, so even after the cake has been eaten, we can always appreciate the hard work that has gone into creating it.
Re: Elder Scrolls Online Director Says The Nintendo Switch Isn't "Powerful Enough" To Run The Game
If CDPR can get the Witcher 3 running good on the Switch, I'm sure Bethesda can remove their heads from their rear and get ESO running on Switch.
But this is Bethesda we're talking about, they don't like putting too much effort into games.
Re: Hands On: We've Played Witcher 3 On Nintendo Switch, And It's A Work Of Magic
Huh, the Switch version is 32 gigs? If my memory serves me right, the base game, two expansion, the free DLC and all of the updates were around 80 gigs on the PS4.

Re: Hands On: Enter The Gungeon's Physical Edition Is Sure To Brighten Up Your Gaming Shelves

Re: Review: Doom 3 - A Dark, Unnerving Oddity In The Slayer Series That Still Impresses
@FragRed It's actually Todd Howard whispering to buy Skyrim.
Re: Soapbox: Sorry Nintendo, Joy-Con Drift Means I Won't Buy Switch Lite At Launch
I don't think I had a drift issue with my joycons, but I did have the disconnect issue back around launch, which is irrelevant since that's fixed lol.
Re: Random: Three New Ultra Shortcut Glitches Discovered In Mario Kart Wii
For speedrunners' sake, at least they know Nintendo won't patch these out.
Re: Samantha Robertson Leaves Treehouse And Moves Into A New Role At Nintendo Of America
I always liked her commentating E3 gameplay.
Has a nice voice that works over gameplay.
Re: Limited Run Games To Release Physical NES And Game Boy Star Wars Cartridges
Oh boy, can't wait to spend what I'm assuming will be $30 on an NES game that will melt my console!
Re: Nintendo Is Waiting For Next Level Games To Let It Know When Luigi's Mansion 3 Is Ready
I feel the game will be out around Q4 2019.
On the flip side, I could see Q1 2020 be a possibility as well.
Re: CD Projekt Red "Not Really Cutting Anything" From The Witcher 3 On Nintendo Switch
Glad that Switch only users can finally experience this game.
It's super good, and with the expansions packaged in, the game is easily worth the asking price.
Re: Brand New Pokémon And Legendaries Revealed For Pokémon Sword And Shield
The legendaries feel like they should be in Okami and I'm okay with this.
Re: Leaked NBA 2K20 Promotional Materials Confirm Switch Version And Release Date
A leak of a game that releases every year.
Only surprise is who's on the cover.
Re: Here's Your First Look At The VR Mode In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
It's

Actually really neat, and free too! Great for people that have the Labo VR.
Re: Nintendo Trying To Attract Casual Smash Bros. Players With Its Tournaments
I've always wanted to compete in a local tournament just to see how far I could go and to experience it for the first time.
Re: Today's Smash Bros. Ultimate Update Adds Labo VR Support
VR support in Smash is really interesting.
But what is more interesting is that new amiibo modes.
Re: Fire Piranha Plant Joins The Mario Tennis Aces Roster In June
It's a fire piranha plant since his sister is in Smash.
Re: Random: This Is What Super Mario Odyssey's Sand Kingdom Looks Like In Super Mario 64
Cappy looks pretty good in Mario 64. Really adds to Mario's movement arsenal.
Re: Video: Sega Releases Ridiculous Live Action Trailer To Promote Team Sonic Racing
Didn't know Sega outsourced commercials to Youtubers.
On a side note, slow and steady never works in racing games.
Re: Get Inspired With The New Story Mode In Super Mario Maker 2
Like that it helps the player feel more of a sense of accomplishment completing the Nintendo made levels.
Hopefully amiibo support will be talked about at E3!
Re: Random: Frozen Rayman Spotted In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Can't roll my eyes hard enough.
I can see the resemblance plain as day, but I seriously doubt it has any meaning other than a texture that resembles something.
I like Rayman, but this is nothing more than chatter.
Re: Yuji Naka Thanks Sonic Fans For Encouraging Movie Director To Change Controversial Design
"The power of Sonic fans is amazing"
I don't know if I'd go that far.
Re: Mortal Kombat Studio NetherRealm Accused Of Taking Advantage Of Contracted Workers
Y'know, with the amount of horror stories coming around with big game developers, it kinda makes me not want to work on a game.
Re: Hit 2D Game Shovel Knight... Is Really Hit 3D Game Shovel Knight
I like Boundary Break. It's always interesting seeing little tricks the devs use to get a certain affect.
Just wish he would keep staying away from the clickbait-esque video titles. Bleh.
Re: Random: The Karate Kid’s Son Upgrades To Switch In Cobra Kai Season 2
Daniel only bought him Tekken for the Vita, so once Smash was out, they figured a Switch would be fun with friends.
I heard Ryu is Daniel's main.
Re: Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers Officially Confirmed For Switch
A Koei-Tecmo styled Warriors game? Bleh.
Feel bad for everyone that was anticipating a Switch version of Persona 5.

Re: Fans Create Website With Descriptions For All Smash Bros. Ultimate Spirits

Definitely plan on getting the game in the very near future.
I enjoyed my time with Woolly World, so I know I'll enjoy Crafted World.
