Roll7 was profitable, made audience and critics alike loved games, and yet, they get shut down by a company with huge profits and a CEO whose earnings jumped from $16m TO $46m.
Stop repeating the lies and half-truths of Mochizuki. He hasn't stepped down, he got a promotion. And Saito has been producing Dragon Quest since DQ III. Mochizuki is a master in disinformation because no outlet really cares, a good headline at getting clicks is all that matters...
@Ogbert I really don't think they got a massive amount for those games. Those deals are for big games. Heck, they tried to get Baldur's Gate 3 for just $5M. And it is known that they don't pay indies as they used to.
Also, with nearly no sales, I doubt The Gunk could break even.
Sad to see Thunderful following the footsteps of most companies in the medium. I'd really like to know the paycheck of the new CEO and the company's numbers, I suspect the usual, at least regarding the suits, The Gunk probably lost money, the new SteamWorld seems to be much more expensive than previous games and Build is most likely in the same position as Gunk.
Yesterday I finished Blasphemous 2 (true ending) and today I'm not sure what I'm gonna play. 13 sentinels, McPixel 3, Baten Kaitos and finishing Sundered are in the cards.
@Rooty going outside to catch some monsters is fine. Going to specific places at specific times with at least 3 other people, sometimes more, to do a raid... well, that is not ideal...
Yeah, I'm really pissed about this. I have a life, I can't go wherever at any time to do a raid, nor do the people around where I live. Most players are adults, remote play is the only way to get to do some raids every week.
I won't predict anything, just wish we don't get another lackluster. Because wishing for Nintendo to stop screwing with customers and making buffling decisions would be simply too much.
I'll settle for whatever EAD mario is making and a trailer of Metroid Prime. Yeah, I'm being quite a conformist.

No, it's not.
If you are part of a big publisher you are not an independent studio, therefore you're games aren't either.
It's funny because they already said it isn't.
Geoff, you coward
