That Kid Icarus on GB is pretty good if I remember right. Battletoads might be actually beatable for me with rewind. Don't understand why Molemania isn't on the service.
@darkswabber genuinely dumbfounded by how you weren't able to find anything negative online about them. The first issue is a high rate of failure. Doesn't mean every single card will do that, but generally they have a high rate of failure. Secon, even if your card holds up for awhile the speed of the card is not what is advertised.you can look this up online. Stick with with SanDisk or Samsung (SanDisk is the best and the card speed is as advertised, even Samsung is a little tiny bit slower). One thing about Lexar that is an immediate red flag is as soon as express cards went on the market, they immediately had tb options whereas the other legit brands hadn't even started producing those sizes. And it's cheap. I implore you to not buy Lexar!
Zero chance I buy this keycard nonsense. But what's tempting is the limited time bundle of all 3 games for only 90s (7 8 9) - maybe I'll get this digitally if they run well.i doubt it will tho
@87th that's because rn most Switch 2 versions are just literal upgrades. I think we'll see more things like Hogwarts were it is a literal new entire build.
@electrolite77 you were certainly referring to Miles/Fed Troopers being a tiny portion of game when you were saying people are complaining. And from the demo, the overview trailer and the all the game play clips on the japanese website we have a perfectly good idea of the extent of them being "too much" as is. Could even be more.
@electrolite77 that's just cope man. Have you not watched the demo gameplay, the overview trailer or the footage compilations from the Japanese website? It is not a tiny portion of the game. You're lying to yourself if you think it is. There are even segments of the game where you fight with all the troopers at the same time.
@OldGamer999 the difference in 60 to 120 fps is more in the feel of the game, twice the amount for inputs to read, also can reduce blurry when moving the camera around. If you get use to playing a game in 120 then go back to 60 it's crazy how "slippery" the game will feel. Doubt MP4 needs it tho, all the aiming is done for you with lock on lol
@iLikeUrAttitude hes definetly going to say the ball joke. I know you can shut off NPC voices in the options menu, just hoping I can do the same for the subtitles. Positive him and the presence of the others is going really hurt the game for me, also the "collect the green crystals for upgrades, empty looking desert areas." Hoping the rest of the game shines thru despite that.
I respect all the time and love and hardwork that went into this game - a quality release for sure, but man I really don't understand why people love it SO MUCH. Total mystery to me.
@RiasGremory I see this comment a lot. Not debating on price but the Switch 2 is not between a PS4 pro and PS5 in power. The CPU is weaker than a PS4 pro, but has some more modern graphical architecture in its GPU so in the right kind of game, especially where there isn't a huge open environment that's demanding to process like SF6 in 1 v 1 matches (not the open gameplay parts of the game) it can look closer to a series s game, if not better in some ways. But I. Terms of power and the cpu, it is not as powerful as a PS4 pro
@benmalsky198 what are talking about? I (as well as most people) loved how much BotW shook up Zelda. I never said that I or others did not enjoy that. Don't just skim my comments if you are gonna reply. I love BotW more than Skyward and that type of game. My point was that with BotW, even tho it is a good game, they overcorrected with the removal of bigger dungeon style spaces. I actually think if there was a little more puzzle solving in Hyrule castle this would have been a great new approach to a dungeon with multiple levels of approach. I forget which dungeon it was in Echoes of Wisdom, but one of those later game spaces did it well, where you continually leave and reenter the dungeon. I even like the Divine Beasts, but completely removing dungeons was an overcorrection in my opinion. I was fine with that at the time, and figured the next Zelda game would keep the open air and reintroduce some new approach in the classic dungeons, organically slotted within the landscape. Didn't happen and that's where my frustration began. Not with BotW but with Tears.
@tedkiwi I disagree with Tears having the best designed open world of all time. For me that goes to Elden Ring. The way it feels so lived in and natural as you discover castles and dungeons and caves etc. I hope the next Zelda looks at that. Tears feels like a mess to me, it's the BotW map with extra stuff jammed in. I wish, if they had needed to use the same BotW map, they sent Link back in time instead of Zelda. I'm doing that, if you played as Link in the far past they could have more dramatically altered the map, while still using it's same topography. Best of both worlds. I'm sure if I never played BotW id have like TotK better but for me it just feels messy and the new stuff, caves islands and depths feel very copy and paste and repeat. The temples don't feel lived in, like I cant imagine the sky temple ship being an actual ship that was used in anyway. There's no captains quarters or real function to aspects of the ship. That seems like nitpicking, but it had an effect on me as I was going thru it and doing terminals. That's all subjective tho, there are tons of people who love that game. But back to Skyward Sword, I still feel like you are supporting my opinion. They course corrected because the formula wasn't selling to the fans anymore. It didn't connect so much so, than even Wind Waker, on the GCN which console sales were under 21 million and had early 00s anime haters complaining about the art style still outsold Skyward on the Wii. Yes the course corrected when the sales were that bad, saw how popular Skyrim was the same year of release, looked back to their roots (Zelda 1) and made a course correction for the WiiU. And it wasn't just about hardware power, Xenoblade ran on the Wii.
@tedkiwi first off I didn't say I didn't like BotW, just that they overcorrected by removing the style of dungeon and puzzle I personally think is integral to this series. I loved BotW but hoped they would infuse the sequel with more traditional dungeons in addition to the open air exploration the world the dungeons would be slotted into. They didn't and I found myself burned out on this style of game with Tears of the Kingdom. I don't feel this is me having impossible expectations to be satisfied by. It seems seems like something they feel a wider audience doesn't want. Secondly, BotW was absolutely a course correction after the response Skyward Sword had from the fans. Look at the sales of the game, it sold 3.7 million copies on the Wii, their most popular console at the time ever. Twilight Princess (which is not as linear as Skyward) between the GCN and Wii sold almost 9 million copies. Heck even Wind Waker on the GCN, with fraction of the install base, outsold it by almost a million copies. Yes it was a course correction in response to the fans not buying it and praising things like Skyrim that came out that same year.
@tedkiwi I never get arguments like yours. For one this is a forum for people to talk about stuff no one in their actual lives they know probably dont care about, lol. Secondly as to your comment about people complaining about (as an example of a greater issue you're speaking to) new Zelda not being like old Zelda, isn't as simple as you're stating. ln general people can want something new in a franchise (people didn't like how overly linear Skyward Sword was) and still be non-hypocritical in their complaints about something like Tears of the Kingdom. Like for me, I'd never want to go back to Skyward Sword, but stuff like BotW overcorrected and removed dungeons and any sort of limitations in problem solving. Something was lost, so both complaints can be valid. I'd be disappointed if Prime 4 was just a retread on Prime 1. I'd complain a bit about that. However stuff I'm seeing that's new to 4 is not what I want, big empty spaces where you farm green crystals for upgrades or comedy relief companion characters ruining atmosphere. Doesn't make me a hypocrite with poopy diapers. Both concerns would be valid.
@TerribleTerabytes people are allowed to not like something even if it is NOT an example of being overpriced or incomplete. Those can be two separate legit complaints.
I played the first network test demo session and the last and discovered I actually hate how the game feels to control, and how the camera works in city trial, specifically. Some of this hate might be offset with button mapping and other options but they stupidly locked the user out of accessing those menus in the demo. Also found city trial to already feel pretty repetitive after only a few rounds, and was disappointed by how brief the regular races tracks were - cancelled my preorder yesterday.
@the_beaver I tried and it's still 30 fps (tho it doesn't drop which is great) and the visuals still look like mud. Plus this list is review scores based off of the initial NL reviews. I was mostly saying I'm surprised they rated that high.
@NintendoWife it is logical. I am only ordering a physical copy of the Switch 1 game because they are offering a free upgrade. It also creates more sales for the digital version going forward. A further price increase in an old game like this would just put me off.
@Paraka absolutely agree with this. I'm not defending keycards btw (I do not own one!). But there are some games that may have their vision so compromised by being so "aggressively optimized" it might compromise the vision for the game. Keycards would be a better than nothing solution. I do agree with you tho about pushing the potential lack of optimization being pushed on to the consumers for storage space. And you cannot even buy a 1TB express card by a trusted brand right now (Lexar speed isn't as advertised and Gamestop 1TB cards are not listed as who manufactured them). 1) I recently watched an Reggie interview about him saying Nintendo needs to share with 3rd parties their special efficiency on how they optimize their games. remember. I agree with that. 2) Do you remember the fuss people made when the Resident Evil Revelation 1+2 collection came out and people made a fuss about Rev 2 being not on the card and being a download code (that game itself was 20gb and was done before publishers crunched down the hell out of file sizes, no matter the outcome)? That was fall of 2017. How far we've come with people now getting mad about ppl complaining about keycards.
Gamekey cards sometimes (but rarely) have their place. FF7 Remake Is nearly 100 GB and is at a budget price. Makes sense. This game? Absolutely dystopian it's a game keycard. We're cooked.
@UltimateOtaku91 it also said it had some upgradeability, plus since it is a PC I can mess around with individual game settings and turn off things I don't need to boost other aspects of the game I'd like improved (like I could turn global illumination and shadows in Fortnite and prob get it running better than my Series X does It). Curious when this gets a better breakdown.
@UltimateOtaku91 no one thought the steam deck would. However this thing could definetly be competition for Xbox and even PS. I mean you can buy their games on Steam. And with these consoles launching discless versions, why not hop over to something that gives streamlined access to more competitively priced games?
Given all the keycards being forced on me, given new consoles being launched without disc drives, if they want me to be all digital, I'd rather just align myself with Steam. Actually considering getting this.
Hope this fixes my HDMI 4k 120 port issue. I get ghosting when connected, and not to the 4k 60fps port. Their customer service is awful now so I have not got a resolution nor will they even schedule me to send it in to be looked at.
@Megas75 the problem is most of the general audience isn't going to know when they're buying it. Just seeing that the game is updating when they get it. But after awhile, and their memory fills up they'll know and turn on this too.
@Simu001 I literally factor reset my game mode source on my TV and tried to recalibrate (actually helped a little). I still think it looks way softer (even the text in the menus) than it does on YouTube.i seriously wonder if my Switch 2 doesn't communicate well with my TV. I actually get ghosting on the image if I use a 4k 120 HDMI port instead of a 4k 60 one.
Playing the network trial demo right now (you can do lessons on there ahead of test trial open hours) and man it really seems to be a big visual downgrade from everything I've seen on YouTube (on my TV, not phone). Anybody else feel this way or am I crazy?
@MamaSymphonia i do think Nintendo wasn't hungry enough and this year could have been better. A lot of their first party games feel like something that would be a year two kind of lineup. Definitely could have been better but I don't think most ppl expected it to match Switch 1's first year. Best first party lineup ever from Nintendo. And I general, 2017 when look at releases outside of Switch, man it was just loaded with modern classics. I think 2017 in general was the best year of gaming ever.
If we don't get a Direct for it this week (or maybe next week so it doesn't overshadow Hyrule Warriors)....I don't know what to think of this game. We are exactly a month away. So either 1) the game is bad or didn't come together well and Nintendo is nervous to show too much of it, 2) the game is barely hitting the deadline and being crunched on last minute and there has been no time to cut together enough gameplay for any sort of big segment (this trailer reuses a ton of footage), or 3) they somehow believe they've built hype for this (they haven't) and are withholding a lot of info in order to "surprise and delight."
@charliecarrot this is a crucial patent making a case against them. They can't sue for likenesses because the Pals are different enough from the Pokemon in design legally, so all they have is go after gameplay functions.

Re: "It Is Ever More Likely That Nintendo Will Lose" - Firm Faces Another Setback In Battle Against Palworld
@charliecarrot this is a crucial patent making a case against them. They can't sue for likenesses because the Pals are different enough from the Pokemon in design legally, so all they have is go after gameplay functions.
