Has to be Zamazenta for me. I actually originally had sword but fell in love with Zamazenta soon after luckily acquiring one through trades.

Volcanion for me. Maybe because it’s such a rarity. Love the typing and ability though. Also I think being able to walk about with it in ZA may have also influenced me.
Am surprised and saddened it got so little percentage of the vote though.

Originally my favourite was type null but then we got the new ub’s in us/um and some new mythicals. So it was between type null, blacephelon, Marshadow and melmetal. Ending up plumping for marshadow.

Also, probably long forgotten by gamefreak but it would be amazing if they unveiled finally a way to evolve the HOME shiny Meltan.

An actual good gen 5 remake with nothing missing and actual extra content would be cool. Gen 10 actually using the oomph of the switch 2 would be equally good, maybe even better. I do expect a lot of non-gaming additional fluff too though, unfortunately.

Sooo many cool designs in gen 5 but for me it has to be Genesect! What’s not to like about an armour plated bug with cannons?

What’s interesting about them is they all have default names as members of the Rolling Stones. I couldn’t find anything about it on the internet, so researched it myself and found out the Rolling Stones had a song called ‘wild horses’. 90% certain the devs named these horses as a homage to the Rolling Stones and that song. 😱

I think although it’s to be expected, being number 15 at this time of year isn’t too bad, as it’s a very competitive time of year. Even at #15 I’d imagine its sales are still pretty substantial. I’d love to see it have some legs and still see it in the top 40 in the new year though.

Why do people bang on about Switch 2 versions all the time? No! We want NEW games, not having resources wasted on “switch 2 versions “ rather than being used on making brand new games.

This is all well and good but I’d rather have a brand new animal crossing to play. Especially as I’ve already put 1,000+ hours into this one. I sincerely hope this doesn’t delay the next “proper” animal crossing in the series.

@BTB20 Ok, even if they include the official bundle (the article isn’t very clear on this), there’s still probably a large number of digital sales this article isn’t accounting for.

I don’t care what the echo chambers online have said. I finished the game and thoroughly enjoyed it. Although it is a little on the short side and the post game is a little grind-ey. All in all though a very good game tho imo.

@Waluigi451 Yh it doesn’t tell us the full story. I doubt that Pokemon is waning in popularity in Europe but I guess we’ll find out definitively when gen 10 drops.

The article itself states that this is only retail sales, digital sales not included. We also know that digital sales have grown in the last 4 years, even on Nintendo platforms. Given that the bundle contains a digital copy of the game, I’d guess that the “drop” is a lot less than raw numbers (in Europe) would have you believe.

Last time Nintendo did this (Emio), it was so cryptic, next to no one guessed it. I feel it’s going to be either nothing, or something totally unexpected. I don’t buy into this Pikmin speculation, as I saw no “red blur” or any other evidence on that video to tie it to Pikmin. So my guess would either be movie related, or as it’s coming up to Halloween, maybe something Luigi’s Mansion related?

Played the Sonic online test demo and tbh it was meh. Mkw all the way for me and it’s not even close. Even tho im not a massive fan of the mkw mechanics, it still trounces crossworlds imo.

I’ll reserve judgment until I’ve played it. On the one hand I’m not surprised. I remember OG switch struggled with the frostbyte engine and after all this is EA we are talking about.
However, on the other hand. Whilst the switch 2 is reportedly extremely capable, it is still lacking grunt compared to other current gen systems, so somewhat understandable. However, if what has been mentioned here is true and it’s 60fps on PS4, then something is definitely amiss.
Overall though, the gameplay from that video does look pretty good if I’m honest.

I know you were confused, mixing up hitmonlee with hitmonchan for the mountain terraforming part but please tell me you wasn’t mistaken in the “chilling under the waterfall part”!!
Been scouring the trailer for a glimpse of hitmonlee but sadly didn’t spot him. 😭

$50?? What a ripoff! I remember when amiibos were just over a tenner! I knew these new amiibos were blatant money grabs! Looks like greedy, arrogant Nintendo are with us for the foreseeable.

I would give that direct a 6 but …. Baby Waluigi! So it gets a 7. Mario tennis looks excellent, the Pokemon poketopia thing looked interesting. Resi requiem also looked amazing, Age of imprisonment too. Metroid looked great but not for me unfortunately.
On the minus side. Too many quick cash grabs shown. Seriously, Galaxy 2 should have been in the 3d allstars compilation in 2020, instead it’s costing 60 quid ,with a game that was, so nobody wants! Too many cash grabs amiibos and a mixed bag of 3rd parties.

Animal crossing, 3d Mario (both brand new games) and forza horizon/motorsport would make it a killer direct for me.

Looks much too realistic for any Pokemon game thus far. I know it’s Pokemon related but that screenshot gave off Emio vibes to me.

Probably an unpopular opinion here but I thought the original was extremely overrated. The actual racing was utter crap. The Dedede battle mode was actually pretty fun though. All in all, a pretty average game imo.
That said, im actually looking forward to the direct, as im intrigued for what direction they will take this series in. If I like what I see, I still could be a prospective purchaser of Kirby air riders.

I thought those days would be over now, since the Switch 2 is a very capable console. Is there something graphically intensive about Tekken 8? Or something else that would somehow tax the system massively? Personally, I don’t care about Tekken but would still be good to see it on the console, for those that do and also for growth of ecosystem.

Can’t wait to revisit one of my favourite games of all time! I still strongly regret the day I made the mistake of selling my original copy but all will be good on the 21st

Totally agree. It doesn’t seem right, having non-Mario characters in Mario kart. However, if there is dlc, I won’t say no to maining my villager again!
