@Yalloo Personally I don’t care about the games they play on other consoles. I don’t care that it’s mentioned, until it becomes too commonplace or excessive, which is where it’s going atm, if I’m honest. I’m more than aware others are interested in reading about it but can only speak for myself.
It wouldn’t be so bad if either this site was presented as a multi console site, or if sister sites (pure xbox, Push square) were the same but they’re not. They actually concentrate almost 100% on the consoles they are billed to be about.

All I need to say to you is browse Push Square (the ps equivalent of this site) then come back and tell me it’s the same there.
Hint:- It’s much more console specific there and much less “multi console “ because they have staff there who actually write about what they are supposed to write about.

So logic would tell you that this article would be chiefly about Switch, or possibly other Nintendo console sw. The fact that it increasingly isn’t, coupled with the large amount of ads around these parts for Spider-Man and other ps games, maybe cynically, leads me to question the integrity of these so-called “Nintendo Life” writers.

The article creator literally said he was playing nothing but a ps5 exclusive.
Then he added a switch game as a footnote, an afterthought. Probably an edit, after he realised he was posting on a Nintendo site.

@LikelySatan I don’t quite know what you are trying to say. Prove your credentials as a member of staff? Or somehow prove to me the staff are in the right because they’re somehow similar to you?
Personally I’m entitled to my opinion and if I want to question the staffs motives here, then I will do. Personally, I don’t come here to read about Spider-Man 2 for example.

Other console/sw coverage seems to be popping up here more and more lately and some seem to actually mention other consoles/exclusives more than actual switch sw. Would be np if this was a multi console dedicated site but it isn’t. It’s claiming to be a Nintendo site. This sort of thing doesn’t happen on push square.

25 hours in 2+ weeks is nothing, especially for someone whose business it is to play games! If you had said you were burned out after playing 100+ hours in a week or 2 I would have said fair enough but the amount of game time you stated in the time specified really is a tiny amount. Particularly for a games journalist 😱

I can’t see Sonic even come close to winning in any metric if I’m honest. Wonder will absolutely destroy it in sales. Might be close on metacritic but I doubt it.

So many relevant choices but I have to go for Chibi Robo.
Absolutely loved the original and park patrol. Even photo finder was really enjoyable, save for the subpar 3ds camera.
Zip lash, not so much, tho.

I explored the minecart tracks but had no idea they went to the temple! I thought that part of the story quest was linear

@Deemo37 Can’t make it thru the Eldin depths. Even getting through the 1st lot of monsters leaves me with just a couple of hearts, I started with 7 and can’t recover any 😡. Even with brightbulbs it’s still too dark to gauge the distance of the flying monsters and the rest seem to be on me in a flash. The armoured bokoblin gives me grief and Yungobo is next to useless. He’s never standing near enough when you need him to do a charge attack. I’m also aware there’s a long way to go.

I plan to soon. Was about halfway through the Goron quest but had to give up because it’s too hard. Will try again later when I have more hearts and upgraded gear. Probably wasted around 10 hours trying it then giving up. So frustrating.

Like a few on here, 95 and not even finished any regional phenomena story quests yet!

Apart from the obvious Tarrey town quest, another I loved was I think called missing friends, where you have to find some missing adventurers and (spoilers) it turns out they have been captured by bokoblins and are being held amongst some sprawling narrow structures that have been built high up on some cliffs

Even accounting for digital SW I doubt PlayStation systems would have much presence in the top 10. The Ps5 physical attach rate is well known to be horrendous and even with digital sales, it’s not thought to be that great. (Apparently the Japanese digital game sales percentage is on the low side.)

My goty personally on the Switch would be Wreckfest, closely followed by Legends Arceus.

People need to play Switch sports before criticising it. The controls are spot on, with far more nuance than I remember on the original.
It’s also good fun online and even more so in local multiplayer.

Tank tank tank is missing from the list. I remember getting that at launch and having quite a lot of fun with it.
From the list my fondest launch memories are with Nintendo land and ZombiU. So I voted for those

Back in the day we had a gadget on the n64 that let us play import games. I think it was called explorer or something like that. We played original smash months (possibly years) before EU release. At some stage, whilst playing, this really weird “spaceman” type thing appeared on stage and booted me off! I had no idea what it was but it appeared fairly regularly, sometimes getting me the ko!
I had to find out what it was, so researched. At this time, the internet was in its infancy so it took me a while, then I discovered Pokemon! It had been delayed in Europe. (Can’t remember why.) I realised the Pokemon had come from a pokeball ingame. The Pokemon in question was hitmonlee and it’s been my favourite ever since!

For those slagging off Switch sports, have you actually played it for any length of time? The control scheme is actually very polished. It picks up subtle flicks of the wrist along with finesse. It’s a very tight control scheme. That and the fact that it’s actually really fun, it’s a budget title and it has better online play than most Nintendo titles suggests to me that it’s more than worth it

Personally I’d love a new auto modellista but that’s extremely unlikely to happen.

Agreed. I feel the developers got lazy on the harder levels and their way of making it harder was to all of a sudden make your vehicles’ handling turn to *****. Such a shame.

I feel that miitopia and scribblenauts should be on this list. We’ve had so many LOL moments with our weird and wacky creations in both those games! Along with Lego city and goose game, probably the games that have made me literally guffaw the most this gen

Metroid dread did 3.5x Samus returns’ sales, so if we say Samus returns was 4950, then Dread was roughly 17,350.
Had to be the higher end of Returns’ sales otherwise it wouldn’t eclipse Super Rush

If there was a rhythm heaven rep it should be Karate Joe. Either him, Chibi Robo, Paper Mario or Mike Jones would get my vote.
Considering Waluigi is the only one on this poll, apart from Paper Mario, he got my vote.
