Deadline has reported that the late Sam Neill will appear in The Legend of Zelda movie, having filmed his required scenes prior to his passing on 13th July 2026.
It's likely to be one of his final film roles, if not the last one entirely. Sam Neill has garnered significant critical acclaim over the years for his appearances in films such as Possession, In the Mouth of Madness, Event Horizon, and of course, Jurassic Park. He died from pneumonia in Sydney, Australia at the age of 78.
It's not known at this stage exactly what his role will be, but we suspect this will be confirmed soon.
In addition, it's been reported that Dichen Lachman and Yvonne Strahovski will also appear in the movie. Lachman, who has appeared in Jurassic World: Dominion and its spin-off animated show Chaos Theory, will star as Impa, Zelda's bodyguard and advisor.
Meanwhile, Strahovski previously appeared in films such as The Predator, I, Frankenstein, and The Tomorrow War, but it's not known for sure who she will be playing in the Zelda movie.
Earlier today, it was also rumoured that the role of Ganondorf will be filled by Australian actor Uli Latukefu.
