Re: Feature: Thoughts on the 3DS as It Reaches Its Fifth Anniversary

Blue_Blur

Got a blue 3DS the year it came out on my b-day. Loved it so much, that a couple years later, I upgraded to the 3DS XL (blue), and got an awesome Sonic case for it as well on my b-day. Glad to see the system still doing so well after all this time, and it's only getting stronger! (Badge arcade, 3DS themes, etc.) I've no interest in getting a "New" 3DS, since I don't use the 3D , but glad to see others enjoying it. So many great games on the 3DS; I've played hours of Mario Kart, Sonic, Animal Crossing, M&L... so many great memories! Happy 5th, 3DS!

Re: Nintendo Seems To Be Deleting Super Mario Maker Levels Without Explanation Or Warning

Blue_Blur

Luckily, none of my levels have been deleted. I'll admit that quite a few of my levels have low percentage rates, or aren't very popular, but I try to make them all fair. It's too bad that new levels are getting deleted and don't have a chance to earn stars... not fair at all! All levels deserve a chance to earn stars, (unless they're troll levels, imo). Well-made Mario levels take a long time to make, and people should get their level uploaded for at least a little while. Less than a week is definitely too short, let alone a couple of hours!

Re: My Nintendo Rewards Start on 17th March in Japan, Alongside Miitomo Launch

Blue_Blur

Nintendo is really pushing digital purchases... but I'm staying physical! Like others have said, I like physical because of the disc, box, and sometimes the bonuses that come with it. Club Nintendo might have not had the best rewards, but at least we got points/coins for every purchase! Hopefully physical games will count, but it's not looking like they will be. As of now, I'm disappointed with this new account system, but hopefully that'll change when more info about it is released.

Re: Soapbox: It's too Early to Judge Paper Mario: Color Splash

Blue_Blur

I'm remaining optimistic, but I do wish the battle system was more "generic" like TTYD. I'm not a fan of looking back and forth between the TV and Gamepad, so I'm not liking the idea of a deck of cards. With the battle system set up like this, it also probably means no off TV play. That doesn't bother me much at all, but I know that's a big concern to some people.

I know Sticker Star wasn't that great, but I at least liked how it was semi-creative with all the different stickers. To me, Color Splash is Splatoon + De Blob. Even saving all the Toads from the houses is clearly De Blob! And Splatoon comes in with all the paint splashing everywhere. I usually expect Paper Mario games to be quite creative, but Color Splash isn't looking like it will be.

Besides those points though, I'm still excited for this game. Will it be TTYD? Of course not, but hey, it'll probably be better than Sticker Star!

Re: Poll: Which Is The Best Mario Spin-Off Series or Game?

Blue_Blur

After seeing this list, I realize that most of my favorite Mario games are spin-offs! XD

I chose:
1)Mario & Sonic - Mario and Sonic are my favorite series; It only makes sense!
2)Mario Kart - LOVE it so much!
3)M & L series - always a funny and enjoyable adventure.
Honorable mentions to Paper Mario, Mario Party, and the Mario Sports games.

Re: Mario Kart TV Website Confirmed for Closure on 5th April

Blue_Blur

There's a website? lol XD

Sad to see this feature go, but at least it still works inside the game; at least I can still watch my awesome racing moments!

I wish Splatoon had to option of being able to save and re-watch matches like MKTV... re-watching those epic matches would be awesome! No website needed, though.

Re: Poll: Did the Wii U and 3DS Nintendo Direct Kickstart 2016?

Blue_Blur

The direct wasn't bad at all... I thought it was really good, actually! I got what I wanted; Rio and Splatoon updates! I'm also interested in Paper Mario Color Splash, so I'll keep an eye on that as well. The Mini Mario and Friends amiibo challenge looks fun too! Also super glad that we're getting Rhythm Heaven!

Re: Review: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD (Wii U)

Blue_Blur

Glad to see the game got a great score! Twilight Princess is my favorite Zelda game, but I already have it on the Wii. I'm occupied with other games right now, so I wont' be getting this game for a while. I'll probably pick it up eventually, when the first price drop happens. To everyone who is getting it day one though, enjoy it!

Re: Sakurai Talks About the Development Process Behind the Smash Bros. DLC Stages

Blue_Blur

It's sad to see just how much the 3DS version really limited the Wii U version. Especially with the Ice Climbers and various stages. I don't mind having a 3DS version available, but I wish they made the Wii U version different than the 3DS version, by letting the Wii U version go beyond the 3DS's capabilities. In my opinion, if the Wii U is capable of having a lot more power than the 3DS, then Wii U games should be allowed to use that extra power. And with the Wii U version getting Smash Tour instead of Smash Run, I think the Wii U version deserves an extra stage or something to make up for the loss.
