Would've bought it again if it wasn't single player only... Definitely one of the best Mario Parties, in my opinion, so it's a shame that the Wii U version doesn't support multiplayer.
Also, if you're on top of the page, it's kinda weird seeing the same Mario Party DS image normal and mirrored.
Eh, not horrible, but could be better, in my opinion. When it comes to slogans, I think simple, short, and easy to remember ones are the best. And... I don't think this slogan is any of those. I don't know, I just don't think it sounds very business-like... doesn't roll off the tongue either. Oh well, if it works, then I'm fine with it.
My favorite gaming slogan is "SEGA does what Nintendon't". I've always thought that was so clever.
Wow, this is sudden. Even though I never got into this series, I've always thought it was popular enough to keep the series going... feel bad for those who really enjoyed the series. At least the figures look nice, and will still look good on display. Also hope the employees find new work soon.
If Disney is stopping the toys-to-life gimmick, Activision and Skylanders might not be that far behind. Maybe even have a small chance of bringing the original Spyro back if Skylanders stops? Probably not, but hey, I can dream!
The Nintendo Humble Bundle is an amazing thing! So many great games available at a low price; best part of it is that the money can go to charity! Hope to see more of these bundles in the near future, and hopefully be just as successful as this one, if not more!
A full day of Zelda footage isn't bad... if it wasn't the only game to play at E3! Hopefully they'll be some really good moments in the Zelda footage, but their better be a direct to show off some other Wii U and 3DS games as well!
I like the last one, and the other two are okay, but I think the intros to them are kinda weird. Golf... Star Fox needs your help! And dance show... Star Fox needs your help! O.o
But Peppy and the spider... priceless. XD
I also think the first two don't do that good of a job of describing the game. Besides "save the galaxy!", nothing else is really mentioned. I feel like someone who has never heard of Star Fox would be totally confused. The last one was clearly for comedy; it catches your attention, and introduces the audience to the characters the best, in my opinion. Hopefully the last one with get the most screen time.
@Zelda_Rocks: You have a good point about the Jalapeno. XD I agree that the boss can take a while because of the slot machine, too. And thanks for the fun fact! I didn't know it wasn't supposed to be King Boo; it's always cool to know trivia like that.
Pretty much agree except for King Boo. I like how it was a creative boss fight, nothing ever done before, and felt really fresh in a Mario game. The other bosses in the video where simple: either do ____ 3 times to win, or it's over in 5 seconds. For King Boo, it's stomping moving panels, throwing fruit; certainly nothing generic! I just think it's a cool boss fight!
Downloaded this a few days back, and I'm really enjoying it. It's a nice little extra, even if you don't have all the compatible amiibo. The graphics and music are great; I think this game is actually a bit better than Tipping Stars, if you don't count that Tipping Stars has a level editor.
Sad to see the Wii U slowly becoming an afterthought to the 3DS. Besides Color Splash, a few other games, and maybe a surprise game that we don't know about yet, it looks like the Wii U is just about done. Even Zelda is releasing on the NX, too.
I've always felt many 3DS games could've been on the Wii U to begin with, like Dark Moon, Uprising, Federation Force, as some examples. Those games are certainly not bad on the 3DS, but I think making all these on the 3DS in the first place was how the Wii U never really got as popular, plus bad marketing of the Wii U.
Don't get me wrong, I'm very happy to see the 3DS going strong after all this time, (I love my 3DS!), but as a player who is more often on the Wii U, it's sad to see the 3DS pretty much take over on the Wii U's final months before the NX.
I hope the 3DS lives up to expectations will all the new upcoming releases, though! Seems to have a quite exciting lineup!
Putting discounts on semi-popular old games that most people already have isn't the best idea in my opinion... it makes a lot of people have limited options to spend their coins on. I'm really hoping for physical rewards soon, since none of the rewards as of now really interest me.
And to make matters worse, with the last deals from Club Nintendo, I got Minis on the Move and Dr. Luigi! XD
I never finish Alpha Sapphire since it was too easy, and repetitive to me. If Sun/Moon had these things, I would be really happy:
-Better story -Harder difficulty -Customizable characters like in X/Y -Pokeseals from SoulSilver/HeartGold -More post-game story other than Looker -Left-handed controls for Super Training -Have one of your Pokemon follow behind you like in SoulSilver/HeartGold
If most of those things happen in Sun/Moon, then they will have a sale. Those wants will make the game different enough, while keeping the same format from being too repetitive and boring, in my opinion. Hope some of these make it into Sun/Moon!
Awesome! Love the Squid Sisters, but I think I can live without the alternate Inklings and squid. I'm not a big fan of orange, so I'm happy with my green squid. Hopefully they'll make a Judd amiibo, too; he's the one I want most!
I wish they were focusing more on the Wii U to be honest, but the 3DS still hasn't lost it's charm, and is still delivering amazing games.
This year though, for 3DS, Federation Force, Kirby, Monster Hunter, etc. doesn't interest me, so kind of a boring year for me. But, it does give me time to go through my backlog and catch up a bit. And I have Rio (Wii U) and other Sonic games to look forward too. Even though I'm not interested in some of the games, I know they'll be very good, so I'm confident that the 3DS will be fine for another year with this lineup until the NX is officially revealed.
I'm not a big fan of Fire Emblem, so I'll have to see how it'll will work. I'll still probably download it though. I feel like Animal Crossing would work great on mobile, especially if it works with the actual games. Hopefully these will come out soon, since Miitomo won't hold everyone's interest forever.
This looks really fun! Can't wait to try it! I think Luigi has the most boring ability (higher jump) compared to wall jumping, floating, crawling, etc. But I'm just glad Luigi's in the game. Reminds me of all the Tipping Stars levels I made; all staring Luigi, as you could probably guess.
The burst bomb nerf is gonna take some getting used to, but it's not as bad as I thought it would be after some practice with it. The new slosher though... I was hoping it would be better. Just not my playstyle, I guess. The old, original slosher is still my main! I do appreciate the decreased time to launch an inkstrike, it's helping a lot already! Also, the increased slosher slosh rate is great! Very useful in all situations. I'm satisfied with the update.
Not scary - more stressful. These types of games always stress me out! I always panic and do something foolish usually resulting in a game over. I wish these games didn't stress me out so much since it does look quite fun!
I think I'll wait for the next round of rewards... I know the coins expire after 6 months, but does anyone know if there is a max amount of coins you can have at once? The reason I ask is that my Miitomo coin bin on My Nintendo account is getting quite full...
Was hoping the score would've been a little higher at least. Not the best game for sure, but I've been having a lot of fun with it since it released in the US.
I'm liking Miitomo so far. I have to agree with the article about the rewards; I have all those games, and aren't interested in wasting my coins on game tickets or something that doesn't really feel like an "reward". I want physical rewards Nintendo!
@Knuckles: The Sonic amiibo powers up the Sonic suit into Super Sonic, which obviously increases the speed stat. I haven't tried it out myself, but I would assume Super Sonic would get close if not better results than Gold Mario in the 100m.
Just to clarify about the OP equipment, (like the boxing gloves), you don't need to use those types of equipment in the story, as well as the costumes. There just extras in case you want to use them, completely optional. Other types of the same equipment with "fair" stats are available in the story.
But I will admit that a Mii running the 100m in a tuxedo is a bit weird...
I loved Pirate's Curse, so I decided to get this. Started playing it yesterday, and it's fantastic! The story is funny, and the levels are well designed. Definitely worth $10!
Aw, I just realized something: I bought and downloaded Shantae: Risky's Revenge yesterday... should've waited a little longer so I could get points for it on my Nintendo Account! XD Oh well...
I agree with both these lists better than the community ones... Glad to see Shantae and Luigi on there! I would've added one of the M&L games somewhere, but other than that, great lists!
@MetaRyan: Rhythm Thief is a great game! Definitely one of my favorite 3DS games.

I don't mind the extension dates, but I guess that means I'll have to wait longer for a potential Luigi hat and theme. Make it happen, Nintendo!

There are a lot games I feel the same way about (absolutely love them but others don't like them as much), so I think this series is a great idea!

Re: Video: Learn a Few Quirky Facts About the Mario Party Franchise
Interesting video. I still like the older MP's best, (not in the car), but the newer ones are still fun, too.
Mario Parties 4, 5, 6, and DS are my favorites. Hopefully someday they'll go back to this kind of formula.
Re: Feature: Five Reasons Why We Love Animal Crossing

One reason why I hate AC:

Re: Get Ready To Spend Those Platinum Points, New My Nintendo Rewards Are Live
I don't think it's worth it. I'm just gonna have to change out of outfit for the daily mission anyway.

Rio, Shantae, and Zelda for me. I'm also looking forward to Color Splash.

It would be awesome if Crash made it in next time, along with the original Spyro. I despise his Skylanders look; cute-looking Spyro for the win!
