Earlier in the year we shared a rather cute Nintendo Switch mini arcade cabinet, but now Nintendrew - who once made a guest appearance on our YouTube channel - has produced a rather neat full-sized cabinet.
Taking initial inspiration from this guide, he's created a full size unit with a 17-inch screen, an integrated Switch dock, two Switch-supported arcade sticks, a fridge and even a hidden gaming laptop to turn the cabinet into a MAME machine. All in all, it looks like a really fun way to play games.
Check out the video below.
As a project to bring a bit of style to a game room it looks like a lot of fun; it's amazing what some plyboard, a cheap monitor and a mini-fridge can be turned into.

Are you tempted to give this a try?

Ah if only we all had money to burn. Looks cool though and I'd love to have an arcade cabinet like that. Fair play to him for making the cabinet from scratch, it's impressive. It's a little rough in spots when you see it up close but that's understandable given his lack of experience.
Omg...
What an Extravagant way to enjoy Nintendo Switch in Arcade style !
I want that Arcade Box !
Excellent stuff!
Love it. I wish I had the skill to do something like that.
Can just buy these. It's nothing near as good but, it's $15

Cool guy. Cool project. But no T-molding?
Drooool!
I need this in my life!!!
I really want to make an arcade cabinet someday......maybe this is the inspiration I need.......probably not......but maybe
Wish I had the money to do this. Thinking about making my own but on a much smaller scale.
Love the idea, but the end product is just too low quality for me personally. Looks really flimsy and messy.
With some better quality materials and different techniques it could be something worthwhile though.
Good starting point for anyone thinking of making one like myself.
Wouldnt bother with a fridge, probably add shelves for stuff
Nope, I have a legit jamma arcade machine. Switch is Switch on a big tv. Arcade machine is for jamma ROM boards. Nothing else.
Shame he didn't become permanent on NL's YouTube channel, I love his videos. Dude knows how to 'vlog'.
@JaxonH
I've got one of those and they are a great gimmic. I just wished I was good at art as I'd love to put decals on it to make it look like an authentic arcade cabinet.
I thought someone would have released some but no. 😕
Looks like a great father/son project. Boys, fetch me my tool shed! Papa needs a new arcade cabinet.
@audiobrainiac It's a fact that it would be a wonderful project, but how weird is it that your kids won't intrinsically understand how cool an arcade cabinet is? Granted, once they see the real thing, they'll get it.
I saw a video on Youtube of a guy that had bought a Switch Arcade Stick and a table arcade cabinet made of cardboard that you could place the arcade stick and the Switch in. It looked like a neat little setup.
@Flammy Indeed. I guess the best way to show them is to build our own arcade room so they can get the full experience. There's just no way around it.
I think this is cool, but the mini fridge seems more XBox than Switch.
Did you know that there's a Golf game hidden inside the Switch?
I love how this guy really lives that 1992 style.
I already builded my own cabinet but the small version.
not impressed. too much money to burn, and too vapid of a situation.
Wish I had the space for a full size cabinet! Meanwhile I'll have to settle for my original modded Xbox with 48,000 retro/classic games on it!! 😃👍
I may just have to make one one day...
@NinChocolate Not all cabinets use it.
