It's been a long, weird year, but E3 is back after last year's COVID cancellation. It's still a digital event, as we're not out of the woods yet, but that means we'll be seeing all the big names on the (virtual) stage again. But will Nintendo give us everything we've hoped for, or will we be left a little disappointed?
Here are the predictions from the Nintendo Life editorial team, including Kate Gray (Staff Writer, Crab News fan), Gavin Lane (Editor, needs a haircut), Tom Whitehead (Deputy Editor, part-time Monster Hunter), and Ryan Craddock (News Editor, wants a cat).
Breath of the Wild 2
We know it’s coming, we just don’t know when.
KATE: It’s been a while since we last saw BOTW 2 footage, and I’m sure the production has been affected by COVID… but I’d love to at least see a teaser with a title reveal, so we can stop calling it “Breath of the Wild 2 (tentative title)”. Plus, I can’t remember the last time I watched a Nintendo presentation where the “and one last thing” announcement wasn’t Smash or Splatoon. I may be exaggerating a little, but I really want BOTW 2 2021!
GAVIN: It’s Zelda’s 35th anniversary year — at the very least we’ll get a title reveal! Right? Right? My guess is Nintendo will take the Dawn of the Dead route and name the sequel ‘Something of the Wild’. ‘Return’. ‘Oath’. ‘Embrace’. ‘George’. Whatever.
TOM: As someone who’s played the entirety of the original (and DLC) three times, I can confirm that a) I have no life and b) I’m beyond excited about the sequel. I’m even fine with the inevitable news it won’t be out until 2022 at the earliest, I’d just love a little look at its version of Hyrule and some new areas.
RYAN: It feels like now’s the perfect time for a juicy, longer trailer for Breath of the Wild 2 to drop, finally giving us a bit more info, an official name and logo, and a tease of Zelda as a playable character (although Nintendo will purposefully leave that up in the air and refuse to answer our emails on the matter). I sure hope so, because I’m ready for more (of the game, not the emails).
Bayonetta 3
Bayonetta 3: It’s in the works! But will we see the leggy gal this year?
KATE: I’m hoping we get Bayonetta 3 fairly soon, so I can mindlessly slay angels with my gun-shoes just like old times. I just… don’t think we’ll see Bayo 3 at E3, somehow. Feel free to prove me wrong, this prediction is based on absolutely nothing.
GAVIN: I think before we get any more details, we need to hear from Kamiya a few more times telling us that everything’s progressing fine with B3 and not to worry. More people need to ask him about it, definitely.
TOM: PlatinumGames have been a bit weird the last few years, with a dodgy Kickstarter and lucrative deals for mobile games, they seem to be juggling a lot of projects. I’m hoping Bayonetta 3 doesn’t become one of those games that takes so long that the financial backer, in this case Nintendo, gets fed-up and walks away, Microsoft style.
RYAN: I’m also hoping we get Bayonetta 3 fairly soon so that we can stop writing ‘TBA’ on anything and everything to do with the blimmin’ thing. But I’m with Kate – something tells me we still won’t be seeing it just yet.
Metroid Prime 4
Has Nintendo finished a new logo yet, or any of the game, for that matter?
TOM: I can live with many disappointments, but it feels like Nintendo genuinely messed up with Prime 4, which is a shame because it should be a huge release already for Switch, ideally with Prime Trilogy HD as a warm-up. To have a team that wasn’t Retro Studios making it originally seems crazy, and now we’ve had a long wait as development started from scratch. Maybe we’ll get a new logo though, that’s the peak of my expectations.
RYAN: That Metroid Prime 4 logo reveal we had 84 years ago, and especially the accompanying Prime music, gave me actual shivers. I’m not even that huge on Metroid, but it just felt special. I’d be happy with another four seconds of that music and a ‘yep, it’s still coming’ message to be honest.
Switch Pro

Could the much-rumoured Switch Pro (tentative title) finally get its reveal at E3, or is the global chip shortage going to keep it away?
KATE: Switch Pro has GOT to be at E3, right? I’m keen to see what quality of life improvements bring the Switch into the future, especially as it’s pretty unusual for Nintendo to release a “pro” version of one of their consoles. Maybe we’ll get some new Joy-Con colours, too. I’m just hoping there aren’t too many Pro-exclusive games…
TOM: Before the recent reports I expected a revision to slide well into 2022, because trying to release new tech in the current market is extremely tough; just look at Sony and Microsoft sobbing in their corners over their launch woes. It’s hard to know what to believe. There will be a Switch revision at some point of course, but I’m also darn sure it won’t be called the ‘Pro’; that’s the least 'Nintendo' name ever, yet everyone uses it!
RYAN: I’m in need of a second Switch and the Animal Crossing one is sold out everywhere, so now would be the perfect time for Nintendo to launch a shiny Super Switch XL+cats to give me an excuse. That being said, Nintendo's already said that the E3 Direct's going to be "focused exclusively on Nintendo Switch software," so perhaps a hardware reveal is off the table.
The ratio of new games to remakes

We’ve seen a lot of remakes and sequels on the Switch already, including both retro revivals and ports of underappreciated Wii U games. Will we see anything new this year?
KATE: I think we’re going to be on the remake train for a while yet. Lots more Zelda games to bring over, after all, and I’d personally love some news on whether we’re getting a second Ace Attorney trilogy release of games 4, 5, and 6. I reckon there will be at least one new idea from Nintendo this year, but I’m noooot suuuure if E3 will be their chosen venue for the announcement… as a company, they don’t really go as hard for E3 any more. I wouldn’t be surprised if there was something at the Summer Game Fest, though.
GAVIN: There are still a couple of choice Wii U ports to come over. The Zelda’s are the most obvious, but having missed it first time round I’d love the chance to play Xenoblade Chronicles X on Switch.
TOM: Considering a lot of large triple-A dev teams are still working virtually, coding complex games while wearing pyjamas, yes I expect plenty of remakes and ‘HD’ remasters on Switch for a little while yet.
The one that everyone expects
We all know that [that one game] and [that big game] are going to be there, right?
KATE: Oh god, you think I’d have my finger on the pulse, but I have no idea. Maybe more information on Splatoon 3 after that tease we got earlier this year? Something about The Great Ace Attorney? Are those likely? I don’t know!!
GAVIN: Smash Fighter Pack news is a given. Personally, Banjo was the absolute zenith, a peak which no other announcement can possibly touch in terms of impact — it made me buy the game and the DLC! Should really get back to it sometime.
TOM: Splatoon 3 is a good shout, I can imagine Nintendo having one or two multiplayer arenas near-ready and showing them off. If they have the Treehouse team presenting they’ll have some feisty LAN matches to show it off.
RYAN: Smash is in every single presentation Nintendo drops whether you want it or not. Smash will be at E3, end of discussion.
The one that no one expects

How do you predict the unpredictable? We’ll give it a go…
KATE: I have to be careful not to double up the categories here, because “the one that no one expects” could also be “back from the dead” or “our niche favourite”, right? So, okay, something no one expects but also something I’m not personally into… Ring Fit 2? Return of the Virtual Boy? Nintendo gets really into NFTs? I hope not.
GAVIN: Mother Trilogy Anniversary Collection. Only on Switch Pro.
TOM: New Super Mario Bros x Sonic; they compete against each other in the Olympics, time they met in a platformer.
RYAN: Freshly-Picked Tingle’s Rosy Rupeeland HD. With a Tingle amiibo that costs £30.
Back from the dead?

Being a Nintendo fan means sometimes having to accept that death is a natural part of life. But we’re not against resurrection…
KATE: There are a lot of serieses I’d love to see revived, but top of that list is Ghost Trick. I don’t even care if it’s a remake or a port onto Switch, because as long as it does well, we MIGHT get a sequel set in the same world. My other hope is Fantasy Life, but given that Level-5 is basically done with the West for the time being, I don’t see that happening.
RYAN: My go-to answer for this kind of thing has been Pokémon Snap for as long as I can remember, so what am I supposed to say now? Let’s say F-Zero. Hahahahahaha. Hahaha.
TOM: What Ryan said, with an extra hahahahaha.
Finally, it's on Switch

The Switch is full of old Nintendo games remade for a new audience, but there are plenty of games on Xbox and Playstation that we haven’t got. Now that we have Control and Hitman 3 (thanks to the Cloud), what else might we see?
KATE: I don’t want to jinx this one, because there are some games that will just not run well on the Switch’s less-powerful software — I don’t think we’ll see Resident Evil Village, for example. But I’d love to be able to play a few of the older Bethesda and Bioware games — the new Mass Effect Trilogy remaster, for example, or Fallout: New Vegas. I already own Dragon Age: Inquisition on every platform it’s come out on, but if it came to Switch, I could be convinced to play it again…
GAVIN: Perhaps events of the past year have turned my brain to cheese, but I still dream of a ‘Rare Replay Switch Remix’ package that includes all previous games plus the Rare-developed Nintendo-owned ones — specifically the DKCs, Diddy Kong Racing and Star Fox Adventures. What a well-deserved pick-me-up and thing of infinite beauty that would be! Cuphead and Ori are on Switch, Steve and Banjo are in Smash — anything’s possible.
TOM: MLB The Show, albeit with drastically reduced visuals. Some of us want to feed the obsession on the go, too.
The next indie darling

Every now and again, we get a runaway success like Celeste, Undertale, or Night in the Woods — are we likely to see something new this year?
KATE: There are quite a few indie studios that I’m curious about right now. House House, the chaps who made Untitled Goose Game, have to be working on something, right? And what about Disco Elysium’s ZA/UM? 👀
TOM: It’s impossible to predict the next breakout Indie success, which is also what makes it so awesome to follow.
Our niche favourite

We all have our weird faves, and we all know the disappointment of having them ignored for years. Maybe this year is different...
KATE: My niche favourites aren’t really that niche. It’s mostly visual novel adventure games, to be honest: Ace Attorney, Zero Escape, something with a little bit of murder and a whole lot of mystery. A nice twisty game.
GAVIN: Niche might be a bit much, but I’ve got a soft spot for Excite Truck on Wii. I’d play a new take on that in an instant. As long as I could funnel some Gwen Stefani tracks onto the soundtrack like I did on Wii.
TOM: It’s never happen in a million years and has no relation to Nintendo, but I’d love functional and faithful ports of Theme Park and Theme Hospital on Switch. Playing the excellent Two Point Hospital recently just made me want to play the originals again without fighting with my PC.
RYAN: It’s not exactly niche, being tied to the Mario franchise and all, but I’d quite like a revival of Super Princess Peach. We’ve only ever had the one game on DS and I think a sequel with new bells and whistles would be just… Peachy.
A surprise remake/remaster

It’s not E3 without some nice surprises, right? It’s hard to predict a surprise… but we’ll try anyway.
KATE: I think the best surprise would be a game I had forgotten, but am excited about. More sequels, perhaps, or a game from a studio I really like. I think a really good surprise, though, would be something like Famicom Detective Club — a game I knew nothing about, but turned out to be excellent.
GAVIN: I’ve wanted to see Kirby’s Epic Yarn in HD for years. That. They’re more likely to port Yoshi’s Woolly World from Wii U, but we all know which is the better game.
TOM: Rhythm Thief & The Emperor’s Treasure was silly and a lovely music-rhythm game, I want it in scruffy HD, even a lazy port will do.
RYAN: Dino Crisis Remastered. And I don’t even care that the original never launched on a Nintendo platform, just do it.
Nintendo, pls

We’re begging. Please. Bring these games to Switch.
KATE: Baldur’s Gate 3. Pls.
GAVIN: I need a shot of Rhythm Heaven and/or WarioWare Switch, stat.
RYAN: Tom Nook simulator.

Not getting my hopes up, just going to wait for it and stay hyped.
And also, don't complain if there is no switch pro, tbh I have like a gut feeling that the chances of us getting one here are 58%.
Fashion-style savvy-boutique thing ! Please ! And maybe some shiny entertainment catalog, as MDK, Messiah, Sacrifice…
Gimme some Metroid news. New, remakes, trilogies, GBA, whatever... Just Gimme some Samus
Honestley , give me 37 minutes of nothing, then a 3 minute trailer for botw2, and I'm happy!
Nintendo LITERALLY SAID that it is exclusively showing software.
NO SWITCH PRO AT THE DIRECT MOST LIKELY. IT WILL MOST LIKELY BE AFTER THE DIRECT
Oh, no. Now they're personally encouraging this "Switch Pro" business.
@Slowdive nintendo literally said their presentation is focused on software
Splatoon 3 and mario kart 8 deluxe dlc.. maybe Odyssey 2? Please?
Dark Souls 2 or I riot/go hollow!
Excite Bots is a sure announcement this year with the Switch Pro that is branded as the Switch Up, giving a nod to the Wii U that the Switch was derived from, being announced soon after E3.
I want BoTW2, a Hades DLC, a Dragon Quest IX remaster/remake, a Final Fantasy IX remake, a GBA Fire Emblem triple pack (in the order of decreasing probability).
Pikmin 4! It's been "almost ready" since what, 2015?
The third one was fun but looks so dated visually
Of course it will talk about Zelda’s anniversary games, but come on, Metroid Prime trilogy has taken too long to be announced, specially since they screwed up MP 4 and had to begin from scratch.
I was not so keen on the regular soundtrack for Excite Truck so I just made my own. Good times...
... wonder what the guys at Monster Games are up to these days?
I reckon the new Switch will be revealed this coming Thursday, right before E3 starts. Hype will be huge building up to Nintendo's show. A couple of big surprises and a solid overall show and E3 will be won.
My prediction for the surprises are
A top tier racing game like Mario Kart 9, Smash Kart, Donkey Kong Racing, Starfox GP, F-Zero.
Nintendoland 2 or Switch Sports
I'd love Ocarina of Time / Majoras Mask HD but I doubt we'll get them anytime soon.
Nier Automata and new king of fighter
All I need is smt5.bayonetta and botw2 would be icing on the cake
There’s not going to be a Switch Pro
I do not think the switch pro will be there. Nintendo said software only. they want the games to shine. the pro would take attention away from the games. so I think just like the switch lite. the pro will have it's own presentation later.
Now smash characters and warioware are a given along with a Kirby game . but here are my wishes. No way in hell is Nintendo going to show Bayonetta 3, Metroid Prime 4 and BOTW 2 all in one direct. maybe one or two of them but not all 3.
A new Donkey Kong game, a 2d Metroid game, new Wave race game, Mario party 2 and the Retro studios game and Monolith soft games that are both new IPs . this is my wish list . would love to see a couple of these come true.
@Slowdive yes but 3rd party developers are also developing standard switch games as well. It might come into conflict if nintendo were to announce new hardware before E3 direct.
Note that I said might.
Also I think that switch pro is too big of a thing so after E3 will make sense. Nintendo wants games to be the spotlight
Just want to see SMT V gameplay, or at least a more comprehensive trailer. Anything else is gravy.
More info on BotW2 would be groovy, though.
I'm sure there'll be at least one genuinely surprising announcement. Nintendo has a good sense for how to work an audience.
Nintendo already stated that the DIrect will be focused solely on SOFTWARE for the Switch, so if any "Switch Pro" announcement is incoming, it almost certainly won't be there. And as others have mentioned, don't be shocked if it doesn't even materialize at all, because if Nintendo has any sense at all they're not going to repeat the disaster that Sony and Microsoft have experienced with regard to being able to get systems into gamers' hands. Seriously, imagine yet ANOTHER hardware platform coming to market with a chip shortage as bad as this one; it makes little if any sense. Sure there are lots of detailed rumors that seem to point to it being genuine, but it could also be just smoke and mirrors when all is said and done.
@Ccc1985 there probably is going to be a switch pro but I don't think it will be announced at E3.
In July like the switch lite, will make sense
@AtlanteanMan well said. That is precisely true. In fact, I think switch pro might come out in 2022 if that happens
Why do people even want a Switch Pro?
What I'd like to see:
I don't think we'll see anything from Metroid Prime 4, not this year. And I wouldn't be surprised if Odyssey 2 was announced.
It would be nice to get a release date for Sports Story.
Back from the dead: Nintendogs. Switch has been slowly transitioning to a casual audience as it ages. Nintendogs time may have come again.
@AtlanteanMan I agree with you. and the way the switch is selling anyway do we really need a pro now? I know one is coming but I think like you said . Nintendo is going to wait until the chip shortage problem is taking care of. you made some good points.
I’ll take Zombie Army 4 please Rebellion!
More classic IPs resurrected and PSO please Sega!
Metroid, BOTW2, Excite, Diddy Racing, Fire Emblem, Nintendo!
Resident evil 7 or 8 or resurrection 3 please Capcom!
A few thoughts on the article and Nintendo's current state:
I don't see Metroid Prime 4 being shown, let alone playable at E3 due to the recent hirings of key development personnel. And to think it's been FOUR YEARS since that logo popped up at the end of their presentation. It's readily apparent that Nintendo showed that logo to create the illusion of a better, more rounded showing than they actually had, and I wouldn't be surprised if literally no actual work had been done on it when the trailer debuted.
And put in the context of the E3s and years since then, Nintendo's first-party support for the Switch has frankly been uneven and had plenty of gaps in true "AAA" titles similar to ones that plagued the Wii U. The plethora of Wii U ports that have acted as filler between original releases only underscores that fact.
If you add in the changes in quality control with regard to the eShop (which is glutted with enough shovelware to make even the Wii blush), Nintendo's track record since the passing of Satoru Iwata and the subsequent changing of the guard at the top of their corporate structure has taken a genuine hit. They're neither as prolific nor as focused on GAMES as they used to be, and it's showing.
The Switch has been a great system, but it's far from perfect. The chinks in its armor are quite visible to the objective eye, and run deeper than even a "Switch Pro"...assuming it even exists...would really fix. Nintendo has quietly gone from a company that did one thing and did it better than anyone else (making great GAMES), to a company with its hands in a lot of different pots. The result may make them more profitable from a corporate angle, but from a gaming enthusiast's standpoint I'm not convinced it's a good thing, especially in the long-term.
I personally would love a new Star Fox game that is a sequel to Assault and ignores the canonicity of Command.
Heck, just having Adventures and Assault on the Switch would be awesome. What would be even better is if they could remake the games from the ground up, addressing the problems that plagued the original versions. And with Assault, the multiplayer mode could be made online.
my expectations for Nintendo at E3 are two new game reveals (both might just be remakes because Nintendo doesn't want to make new games) and the rest will just be updates on games we already know about and DLC
Ports and shovelware thats all you get. Thx 4 ur cash. Signed, Nintendo
"They’re more likely to port Yoshi’s Woolly World from Wii U, but we all know which is the better game."
Yes. The one they're, according to you, more likely to port to Wii U.
Though I think they're more likely to port the Kirby game because the Switch already has its similar looking Yoshi game with Crafted World. Kirby already has a game too but it's vastly different.
I hope they might show us more new video games for the Switch like Donkey Kong, Warioware, Mario Kart 9, & even Super Mario Party 2.
I am with RYAN I am also on the market for a second Switch.
Seeing one soon? I think that train has left the station.
I like to see something Star Fox with a dog fight mode! 🤘
I really want to see a new Monolith soft game at E3. A new Xenoblade would be amazing but any new IP would be good.
My personal E3 wish list for Switch:
1) From Sega, a true, SRPG Shining Force announcement, either a SFIII remake or an all-new, current-gen installment.
Other Sega projects I'd love to see: Skies of Arcadia, Dragon Force, a thorough Saturn and/or Arcade compilation, Panzer Dragoon Saga, even Valkyria Chronicles. And I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd readily support a return of the Sega Ages line.
2) Mario Kart 9/Nintendo Kart/Smash Kart
3) TimeSplitters (Unlikely this soon after being announced, though)
4) A new Daisenryaku (Grand Strategy) or similar comprehensive turn-based military tactical title in the vein of either DS VII: Modern Military Tactics Exceed (PS2, XBox) or Advance Wars 2001 (Dreamcast)
5) A new F-Zero would indeed be nice, but I don't see it and a new Mario Kart sharing the same holiday window
6) A new Advance Wars for Switch with a full multiplayer mode for up to 4 players, a robust Map Editor, and lengthy campaign would be a surprise hit
7) BotW 2 would be great to see make it out in 2021, but I have the feeling it's going to be "either/or" if you also hope to see a Zelda 35th Anniversary Collection this year.
8) As I said above, I highly doubt we'll see Metroid Prime 4 in any tangible form, but it would make for a great surprise
9) The Trails of Zero/Ao Duology (the Crossbell arc), and/or Hajimari No Kiseki localization
10) Some GameARTS classic returns, such as LUNAR, LUNAR 2, and maybe even a LUNAR 3
11) Either a new expansion/season pass for Civilization VI or a Civ VII announcement
12) I'm not a big advocate for Wii U ports, but I really enjoyed Xenoblade Chronicles X and, aside from Zelda: Wind Waker, it's the last remaining thing preventing me from selling my Wii U, so I'd be down for a Switch version
Bayonetta 3 and Prime 4 are the only news l care about from this list.
I'll admit, I'm really hoping this is the year Nintendo finally lifts the veil on Monolithsoft's new fantasy IP.
Imagine Xenoblade X, but replace flying mechs with flying dragons... It's going to be amazing.
Remakes and remasters and especially indie games are the bane of my gaming existence
I think we get Wario as the smaller surprise..... maybe a release date for some of the other projects and maybe a big surprise....pls be MK9!!!!!
Devil’s Advocate question- Will the Switch have more exclusives for September/October/November/December than Sony and Microsoft combined for the PS5 and XBX?
I doubt that the Switch Pro will be announced at E3, rather before or after E3.
Advance Wars pls.
I would like to see the return of some of Nintendo's blue ocean games like Endless Ocean. Or maybe pushmo, Dillon, codename steam, sakurai samurai.
Kid Icarus Uprising 2 should be a thing too but highly unlikely.
Nintendo now owns Next Level Games so maybe a New Punch out, Mario Sports Game, or realistic sports game to fill in for the lack of quality EA Sports games.
From 3rd parties specifically capcom I would love to have a Power Stone 3.
I’ll be more than okay with 40 minutes of SMT V.
If Nintendo drop any of the following I will ***** my pants with excitement over and over until I pass out from dehydration.
WaveRace
1080
Excite series game
F-zero
Pikmin 4
Warioware
Pilotwings
Starfox
Starfox GP (if it’s actually a thing which I doubt)
2D Metroid
Prime 4 trailer (with gameplay not just logo)
3D Donkey Kong
2D Donkey Kong from Retro
Eternal Darkness (never going to happen)
Luigi’s Mansion 4 (apparently it got the green light after the success of LM3).
I could actually go on and on here. Basically they are sat on so many unbelievably awesome dormant series. Just revive one or two please for the love of the gaming gods!!
It seems I wasn't paying attention when the Splatoon 3 announcement was made. I hadn't realized it was crossing over with Shin Megami Tensei.
SMTV, BotW2, hopefully a new Fire Emblem. Don't really care about the rest.
Zelda BotW 2 and whatever Metroid they want to show is anything I hope for, honestly.
Nevertheless, I wish we could finally see that mysterious RPG from Monolith...
Wouldn't be a Nintendo direct without a plethora of ports....
Seriously though I hope Nintendo are finished with ports now for the switch
It would be fun if you could place bets on what Nintendo will or won’t reveal. I’d have a tenner on no more news about BOTW2
Based on the rumors, I’d be ok with the rumors of a new Donkey Kong, Kirby, Genealogy of the Holy War remake, 2D Metroid, and Warioware game plus a little bit more on BOTW2. I’d be happy if the Twilight Princess/Windwaker rumor is true as I skipped the GameCube era. I mean, if the rumors are true, we’ve actually got a truly fantastic future for the Switch. But I’m not really holding my breath either. I’ve expected a lot out of Nintendo due to 2017-2019 being so utterly amazing, but 2020 and 2021 so far have been huge whiffs.
I think we’ll see BOTW2 and Splatoon 3 but beyond that I wouldn’t like to say.
A new console certainly won’t be shown and I still believe Metroid 4 & Bayonetta 3 are just vapourware right now.
I agree with the Nintendo Life crew for many of the predictions. BOTW2, Prime 4, they have been in development so long that they should show a trailer.
I don't expect much but I would be more than pleased with GBA on NSO and/or MK8DX DLC. (They're never going to happen though, who am I kidding...)
I don't think there will be a Switch "Pro" with exclusive games.
There might be a Switch revision, like the 2019 Switch, with some improvements. But games would run the same on this new model, but maybe with 4K upscaling and a better screen.
Also the E3 announcement is for Software. Nintendo said that in their tweet.
"Lets not hype ourselves up too much here".
Proceeds to predict the second coming of Christ
"Yeah guys keep it in check"
😑
I'm hoping for EA to finally announce the Sims for the switch.
Yes Tom Nook simulator please
The next switch is coming. It's already been verified it's in FULL BLOWN production and they expect it could go on sale as early as august/September. Now whether they will reveal it around or at E3 or even after is extremely difficult to figure out as Nintendo has been very quiet and unpredictable.
Did you really have to kill me with that Excite Truck picture? Oh my, I would cry like a baby if that happened! That series is so awesome!!!
I think we will definitely see Zelda botw 2 however I'd be hard pressed to think it releases in 2021. If it does I will go insane!!
As for Metroid Prime 4, don't fool yourselves, this game is incredibly far into production and possibly to the point of a late 2021 or first quarter 2022. Retro recent hires and current listing for positions are clearly for a NEW game, not an existing one.
Surprise(s) will be a new WarioWare game. I'm extremely confident this will be a filler game sometime this year. We may see some other very small almost indie like game also.
They will show in the Treehouse pretty much everything we already know about. Probably a good amount of time on Zelda SS.
It should be a lot of fun for everyone!!
My prediction is that people will hype it up to levels of such unrealistic expectations that even if Nintendo were to announce 6 brand new first titles, you'd have the typical whining of "that's it?" or "that was lame" or something else.
My only hope is that it's a good mix of first party announcements, as well as some good third party titles (Switch is my only video game console, so that's how I play games like Doom and Skyrim, and I find them fun on the console) and some solid indies. Make good use of the time. We don't need a 10 minute demonstration of some lame multiplayer game nobody cares about or some overly long segment of some low budget title that only a few would care about. That's been my main beef with recent directs, too much time is given to insignificant games like DC Super Hero Girls or WWE or some multiplayer games.
@Bizaster That, Fatal Frame and Starfox Zero are about the only three games left that could be ported to the Switch. I'm trying to figure out if there's a cheap way to trade in my Wii U games for Switch copies so I could finally unhook and put the Wii U away.
@somnambulance Huge wiffs? I don't like Animal Crossing or Monster Hunter Rise, but those are two of the best selling games on the platform and could go down as two of the best selling games of all time. That's far from "wiffing", especially when a pandemic set everyone back.
Untitled Seagull Sequel. With co-op because the ***** like to team up.
I really wish they announce something for Nintendo Online too. Whether it's N64, Game Boy or GBA, I will be totally pleased.
Also, this is some of my predictions:
-A new Mario Odyssey;
-Donkey Kong World (or something 3D);
-Zelda BOTW 2 footage.
And I really do hope they will announce a new Mario kind of game, whether it's a Peach game, a Wario game, a Waluigi game, or something on the like.
@sanderev don't be logical, that type of stuff doesn't belong here.
Nintendo have stated that this upcoming presentation will be for software, so why would you not expect to see brand new hardware?
This is what Nintendo fans do. 24 hours till end of the world, Nintendo tells fans that they will never make another game again and the fans will hear that 5 new games are due to drop on their laps for free that afternoon.
More than with any other fanbase i can think of, expectations and reality with this fanbase are so far apart that it's actually unfathomable.
I love this “roundtable” format! Do more like this. Onto my predictions and hopes:
Predictions:
1) Breath of the Wild 2 will be a prequel of sorts, happening before the first one. All those destroyed towns will be lively, full of side quests, and the story line will be much darker, akin to Majora’s Mask. Dungeons will borrow concepts from Ico, where you and Zelda will have to work together through dungeons. Oh no, you have to save Zelda (or Link) inside a dungeon!
2) Sequel to Donkey Kong Jungle Beat will be out this year (or early next year) and the port of the original will come out in the next few months, using motion controls for the drum beats, with optional regular or touch screen controls.
3) F-Zero will be announced, and it will be developed by Shinen. In fact, Nintendo may announce that they are buying Shinen (good idea!). It will incredibly beautiful, with a 90 FPS mode, which will look great on….
4) …New Nintendo Switch’s OLED screen which will have a 90hz refresh rate. All games will look significantly better on it, and the system will use DLSS in handheld mode to increase resolution of all older games to 720p (4K on the big screen) and increase frame rates to 60 FPS with minimal impact on power consumption. The screen will have HDR too, which for Nintendo games, will make a bigger difference than the increased resolution. When docked, the screen will no longer be hidden, meaning it can show notifications (like the recent fan made photos show). Finally, all older Switches will get a massive OS update, meaning we will get Switch Pass, inspired by 3DS’s Street Pass, themes (cause Nintendo wants more $$$), and Bluetooth headphone support.
5) Retro is working on two games. Metroid Prime 4 will not be shown (will release next year holiday season), but their new game, Donkey Kong Racing Adventure will be shown, which will be an open world racing game set on Donkey Kong Island. Will be a sequel to Diddy Kong Racing! Remember, Retro helped quite a bit with the recent Mario Karts! It will release this year and sell at least 20 million units. Eventually it will become a ride at Super Nintendo Land.
6) Pikmin 4 will be super duper incredible, and will work amazingly well with the new Niantic mobile app. In fact, the new Switch Game/Mobile App combo will become a new standard in the industry. Maybe Pikmin will pull an Animal Crossing and finally become as popular as it should be! Imagine using your phone and AR to “pluck” special Pikmin from the ground , only found outside at select locations, so you can collect them to use in game. Pluck them using satisfying phone touch screen mechanics. Let’s go, Pikmin Go!
7) Game Pass will be announced for Switch. You heard that right. It will be a mega announcement. But it will be a limited Game Pass, while the Xbox consoles will have the full version. Halo Infinite streamed to Switch via xCloud? Why yes, thank you very much. Nintendo doesn’t make those types of games, so actually this is a great idea for both Nintendo and Microsoft. This will be a boon for both Ninty and MS, and probably in the future Nintendo will use xCloud with Switch 2. Not so good for Sony though! Sony is in much bigger trouble than people realize. They actually don’t have anything to show at E3. That’s why they won’t be there.
I predict there will be games. Some that will piss people off and some that will excite people.
Not expecting anything too good but just hoping for an exciting and interesting show really. Keeping expectations very low
@IronMan30 Nintendo shows no games, announcing bankruptcy at E3. Fans cry for the entire Direct
im pretty sure we might more info on botw 2 possibly release date as well, crosses fingers on more info on bayonetta 3, monolith new ip for switch and many others as well.
Since Metroid Samus Returns was released in 2017 and by now the team likely have learned to make HD games, I think there's better possibility of a HD 2D Metroid being announced and perhaps happening this year. Though it likely depends on if they give us at least a small trailer of Metroid Prime 4 (for 2022 or later) to build interest. If they just announce or put a trailer of just one, it may get forgotten due to the Zelda anniversary games and (possible) new info of BotW 2.
As the Mario's anniversary was last year, I don't really expect a Odyssey 2 game announced this year and as much as I would like Mario Kart 9, I also don't see it being announced at E3. Perhaps in a late Direct at Q4 2021. I do can see a Super Mario Party 2 announced or even new Nintendo Spinoff game featuring the Rabbids like a Donkey Kong + Rabbids game that have a little Mario appearance like in a DLC. It would be good sales strategy since many people loves Mario. I don't expect much to be announced apart from spinoffs/DLC little adventure for Mario.
Zelda will surely shine with a few ports/remakes and with a likely new trailer of BotW 2. In fact with just a BotW 2 trailer it will enough without any other Zelda announcement. Everyone (including me) wants to know more about the mysterious green hand and Ganondorf! Truly the first trailer was intentionally made to made people have many questions! I kinda hope Link learn some spells/magic like in Zelda II, which could happen since BotW took some inspiration from the first Zelda game.
While this one is unknown, there is possibility to DK having a game because he has anniversary in name in the arcade Donkey Kong. Like with another franchise, it is more likely after the last game being 7 years ago. Sure, no one has seen nothing materialize, but so happened with Metroid Samus Returns and other games people never expected to be announced. It could be 2D or 3D, or both being announced as it's literally impossible to predict Nintendo. They revealed BotW 2 in 2019 which no one expected, so we MAY have something like this with DK or Metroid. Of course, I'm looking forward to the third party announcements too. Sorry for making it this long. I had a lot in my mind 😅
They could announce XCX for Switch and spend the entire rest of the presentation on Smash Ultimate and I'd be happy. That's how much I'd like XCX on the Switch.
Just give me NHL 22 for Switch or PC and im content.
Find the bit about Nintendo doing Pro systems funny when they basically invented it with Color (I would say new console but going by Nintendo), DSi and New 3DS.
I don't want to see yet another port so no Epic Yarn. I want the next NEW Kirby.
Endless Ocean 3, Pikmin 4 and a new DDR (compatible with the GCN mats) would cure my depression.
just give me botw2 and i will be happy
I really think it’s going to be Mario Kart 9. They are sitting on a gold mine, and if they were to give it the Smash treatment, it would push hardware sales through the roof even more so than they are already.
Just want Donkey Kong.
Yes, let's ruin E3 with speculation.
Super Nintendo Switch Advance or bust!
Something related to Megaman would be nice, I'd almost take MM12 at this point.
ARMS 2 or any Cartoonish Boxing gamee, please.
Let's just wait and see what is revealed, this is no better than than the usual fan made wish lists, that are always posted as some sort of inside information, that never end up being true.
I keep telling my son that the Switch "Pro" is not real and that these leakers are just people looking for attention. That said, if it is real I am probably not in the demographic for it anyway since I have many games to play on my backlog that don't need an upgraded Switch. I will preorder a new 2D Metroid though.
I think going into an E3 with high, high hopes on, what we hope, is the downswing of a pandemic is a little wishful thinking. I guess it doesn't hurt to dream.
@kingbk Animal Crossing is a fantastic game, but it’s not enough to support an entire year of a console. Sure, there were some good indies, but the important thing is the first party titles. In the same year, PS4 had a string of excellent first party titles, despite the pandemic.
All I’m saying is that Nintendo had such a robust and strong line-up for the Switch’s first few years, perhaps Nintendo’s greatest years in total line-up, and this year and last have been among the least interesting cumulative years for Nintendo’s catalog. But that’s just my opinion
Pretty sure you guys have more predictions than there will be announcements 😂🤣 lol but here’s to me being wrong!
… Wun can only hope.
Pikmin 4 please!
But gaiz, the Switch Pro was already announced last Thursday! The rumors all said it would be, so it must have happened!
So should a Zelda game come out every 5 years? WHY is everyone obsessed with this anniversary? Its out of touch to
link the two together
This year, it has to be, the return of F-Zero.
Switch Pro won't be at E3 - Nintendo said that themselves.
Ok I’ll bite… since we’re just wishing for random ish and setting unreal expectations… I’ll put out into the universe:
… Wun can only hope.
@wuntyme8 Eyy someone else who wants to see Trauma Center come back. Those games are great.
Galaxy 2 HD, 64 and cube added to online. Maybe a DK 64 remake?
@Ruby-San or Bowser comes out to announce every game on Switch has been canceled. They just have a reel with the menacing Bowser laugh after each cancellation announcement then at the end they say "Switch is dead and no more games are coming, SUCK IT!"
I try to keep my expectations low, but screw that! It's E3, baby! Let's get some 2D Zelda, BoTW2, Zelda remake, 2.5D Metroid, Prime 4, Prime Trilogy Switch, New Fire Emblem, Fire Emblem remake, Final Fantasy remake, original FF game like how 4 Heroes of Light was a ds exclusive.
Let's get some Pokemon info, some new IPs, Mario movie info, Odyssey 2, new Zombies Ate My Neighbors!
A new advance wars following in days of ruins style and/or footsteps would be amazing, or a simple hd conversion of all 3 ds games would suffice as well.
@IronMan30 love that idea lol! When something Nintendo makes gets too popular, they have to make sure it’s not too successful looks at Wii sitting on the shelf To add to your idea, of course, Doug Bowser would be wearing a Bowser costume the whole time. Expecting them to announce that Miyamoto is missing in the forests of Kyoto after taking too many mushroom power ups.
Nintendo has a lot of hot games and hardware cooking, and they have a lot more beloved franchises to tap into just waiting for their big Switch title, but somehow I'm feeling really pessimistic about getting to see any new huge First Party titles at E3.
Well, a bit over nine days to go until we find out...
Chess 2 would be nice
We need the return of Golden Sun and Eternal Darkness. Come on Ninty, surprise me by giving me what I really want for once!
I like how Nintendolife still wants its users to believe the pro doesn't exist.
One game my daughters have wanted to see followed up on Switch (and even more so now after getting and playing hours of Miitopia)...is Tomodachi Life. And I think it could do very well on Switch. For myself, I'm open to just about anything. I've already got the an Ace Attorney game coming, so that's covered. I'm still playing and armor set building in Rise (and MHS2 is coming next month). Subnautica is eating up my survival/horror time slots (and it is glorious on Switch...and terrifying...totally terrifying in the most excellent of ways). My yearly E3 vacation time begins on Saturday...and lasts to the Friday that week...and I cannot wait to drink in all the E3 gaming goodness next week!!
@Bizaster it's totally ridiculous.
All this place does is stoke rumors, it's mostly because of this outlet that Switch Pro rumours go so far.
Some shoddy 3rd rate leak gets dropped on the Switch Pro and this outlet runs with it like it was announced by Miyamoto himself.
@AtlanteanMan All good points really. However, they needed to diversify in order to survive. And I actually agree with their decisions to make Super Nintendo World and to make animation, starting with the upcoming Mario movie. This is a good way to use their IP. Iwata steered the ship in the right direction before he died. Perhaps you disagree.
I understand why Nintendo fans are upset at all the overpriced ports. But a majority of the sales are to new fans, gamers who never played these games. Still, I don’t think we should be paying more than $40 for a lot these ports.
I completely disagree that Nintendo is worse at their core competency, video games. I don’t think they have divided their attention to their detriment. Breath of the Wild and Mario Odyssey are proof that they are actually getting even better at increasingly complex game design. Despite all the shovelware, which has become ridiculous I agree, I never have issues finding great games with deep gameplay. I’ve played the heck out of my Switch for 4 years and it’s kind of amazing that we are about to get a boatload of new super high quality first party games.
Give them some time. How about after E3, and then we will see if they are falling off.
Your list though was fantastic! I still play Advance Wars to this day. They need to bring it back ASAP! From a gameplay perspective, it’s infinitely deep and if they made it modern with online play, it’d be a classic for the ages.
@MrGawain yup!
Beginning to think BOTW2 was just a proof of concept. The only other likely thing is it's being saved to launch "cross-gen" with the Switch Pro. Wouldn't even be the second time that's happened. Definitely would make me want to buy it day one. Unfortunately, the chip shortages will probably mean a long wait for everyone.
@kingbk Monster Hunter Rise and Animal Crossing are not even in the same category. Rise won’t end up being a top seller of all time on the system. In fact, I don’t think it will sell as well as World did on the other systems. But I, like you, also don’t care so much for this new Animal Crossing. For some reason. I actually like Animal Crossing better on the DS/3DS.
@Flugen hmmmmm……Have you tried listening and using your words? Also, Wikipedia has a great article on nonverbal communication Don’t give up Flugen! You’ll might find someone if you try! Don’t psyche yourself out <3 also, not all women are the same. So if you try to treat women like mysterious creatures, completely unlike you, then you are unlikely to succeed. In fact, they have hopes, dreams, emotions, and yes, even ideas💡 . I know, crazy huh, in the 20th and 21st century, there were a few changes that you missed. Anyhow, try communication, it works <3 Best wishes.
Mother Collection will be announced for Switch, it will have all three games...in Japan. Only Earthbound and Earthbound Beginnings in the west.
@wuntyme8 I want every single game on your list plz and thank you.
@AtlanteanMan I understand where you are coming from, and I agree with a lot of your points. However, I see it from a western love the old Nintendo characters perspective. I think the Switch has been solid for fans of the RPG especially the JRPG.
I do think that COVID has given them an excuse to dial it back. That is why I think this E3 is important.
COVID has also put Microsoft and Sony on its heels, and Nintendo is in a rare position to keep market share despite new consoles being introduced. We’ll see what they come up with, I guess.
This predictions list is the embodiment of unrealistic expectations and people getting their hopes up.
"I’m also darn sure it won’t be called the ‘Pro’; that’s the least 'Nintendo' name ever, yet everyone uses it!"...
Is "pro" least Nintendo game?
What's the name of that Nintendo produced game pad for the Switch?
"There will be a Switch revision at some point of course, but I’m also darn sure it won’t be called the ‘Pro’; that’s the least 'Nintendo' name ever, yet everyone uses it!"
Nintendo Switch Pro Controller: Am I a joke to you?
"The ratio of new games to remakes"
For the love of god stop bringing them up and they'll stop making them! I want some actual software to purchase later in the year and into 2022, not up priced games that I played to death eight years ago!
I read a sequel to Super Princess Peach. 100% agree, although I want it to emphasize all her skills and not “mood swings.” Skills like infiltration and cooking (Paper Mario), weapons expert (Smash), and so on.
Most of the predictions around the web (and in this comment section) are more "letters to Santa Claus" than the real world.
Darkstalkers and Bloody Roar series'.
Love this article! But ya just HAD to remind me of Ghost Trick, and now I'm getting my hopes up we will see it again someday. I personally think the next Zelda will come with a special edition Switch Pro gold console/joycons in 2022...idiots like me would buy it instantly.
@BloodNinja you and me both, pal. See you at the bonfire.
I want the entire trilogy on Switch. Yes: I already own them and have beaten them on another system. But I’ll gladly rebuy because I freaking love the series.
Nintendo has been playing it safe, well before the pandemic began. I have zero interest in anything Splatoon or Smash related, and I hope they don't devote any time during the 40 minute presentation to them. I'm hoping for
1. Resident Evil Revelations 3. I would love to see 7, and Village if a new Switch is announced.
2. F Zero. I miss this franchise.
3. Eternal Darkness. I miss this even more.
4. A Nintendo Sports Division. Lack of Madden, The Show, PES is killer. Bring back Ken Griffey. Bring back NBA Courtside. C'mon now.
5. What's happened to Starfox?
6. 64 GB cartridges
7. Game Boy/GBC/GBA virtual console
8. Wind Waker, Xenoblade X ports to fill out the schedule
I'm just hoping for more risk, and variety from Nintendo. Running back the same stuff can become tiresome.
@Ruby-San : Great predictions! I could see a very limited Game Pass, as in 3 or 4 games. Or Microsoft releases a few more games, i.e Rare Replay, Halo collection for Switch.
Ah just the usual culprits for me - Wave race, pilotwings, excite truck, advance wars, f-zero etc.
You know all the games were not gonna get lol
BotW2 won't be released until the new Switch Pro happens.
My running theory is that Nintendo had the New Nintendo Switch Pro 4K all ready to go 3 years ago, but every time someone leaks the release, they push it back a month.
I'm honestly hoping we get a new Warioware, those games are so fun.
Except for Bayonetta 3, Metroid news AND Zelda anniversary collection—We need to see a huge exclamation marker! “Kept ya waiting” style....Then an announcement that Nintendo bought MGS IP and first releasing MGS trilogy for Switch including Twin Snakes;)
-Also a great arcade return of Star Fox-Zero would be great addition to switch with control adaptations for those less skilled ( like they did with Skyward Sword HD)
-I would be also happy to see new Sin and Punishment-or at least Star Successor for Switch.
-FZero would be great but less likely I feel.
-Nintendo hugely lack some excellent 3rd person shooters like Mass Effect, Vanquish, Ratchet n Clank and Metal Gear, so it needs something new in this category- Splatoon is fun but it’s only online and compared to Ratchet it lacks big time. Maybe we shall see a new Resident Evil reveal for Switch.
-I also would appreciate new 2D Metroid.
@Slowdive See my big issue is not whether or not it’s announced at E3, close to it or shortly after it, it’s whether or not were gonna be able to get one day 1. See I have a streak going since November 18th 2001 when GCN came out that Ive bought every mainline Nintendo Console and Handheld on Day 1....though I feel this streak my be broken this time around.
@ChromaticDracula Exactly! Plus recent rumors were talking about 2+3 seeing a simultaneous launch. I doubt that, but I really want them! LOL
PRAISE THE SUN
As I have said before, I expect the rumored new 2D Metroid and EPD Donkey Kong to be the biggest new announcements at E3.
SMTV will get a new trailer confirming it's leaked November 11 2021 release date, and BOTW2 will likely get a new trailer confirming a March 2022 release window (personal expectation). Oh, and a new Smash Bros DLC character trailer is guaranteed.
Anyone expecting some pre-GCN dormant Nintendo franchises to get revived are in for disappointment.
sadly Bayonetta 3 is cancelled or is gonna be one of Switch sucessor launch games, Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild 2 is not gonna apear at E3 2021, if the game show up at E3, it can overshadow Skyward Sword HD and potencials anouncements Nintendo might do, Metroid Prime 4 is still too early to show something about the game.
i expecting Nintendo E3 2021 Direct presentation to be in the same level of E3 2008-2015( Nintendo worst E3).
In addition to Ghost Trick sequel, would love to see a Zack & Wiki sequel. Very underappreciated!
I hope for a release date for Project Triangle Strategy and Astria Ascending for the switch!
All I care about is BOTW2 and SMT V. Give me info on those two and Nintendo win E3 again in my book. Of course that means that I will be able to enjoy all the other announcements without grabbing a pitch fork as is so common now.
Lol, I'd play LoZ: George of the Wild.
If Smash is given 5 minutes or less, this could be one of their best E3 Directs since 2017's. I'm hopeful of a new WarioWare game. Everything else is up in the air. Metroid Prime 4 could be there, but I don't think it'll be shown this far out. I do think that's a late summer or fall 2022 release though.
Whatever happens will happen. All I know is that this Direct will most likely be like the one in 2019. I just hope they present us with TWO Smash Character Reveals to end the speculations and hype and disappointment. If we get Crash, will he be as hype-worthy as Banjo & Kazooie, or will he be a disappointment? Same could be said for anyone else we would get. I mean, it's not like we'd get Tabuu from Brawl as the Final character.
I fell like no matter what, Nintendo needs to surprise with one big game and gameplay of that title. Whether it's BOTW2, the Mario teams rumored DK title, METROID PRIME 4, or even MARIO LART 9; Nintendo needs to show that the Switch is more than a port / casual gamer machine. I understand we are in the tail end of a pandemic, but they need to throw a bone to the core gamers outside of the Pokemon and Smash Bros. communities.
@Cyberbotv2 <3 your predictions. For some reason I also didn’t really get into Splatoon or Smash either.. But I did beat Eternal Darkness all three times to see that brilliant special ending. I guess Nintendo still has the rights to publish the sequel. Which I would love! Also, F-Zero GX was so good that I actually understand why they are waiting so long. Only Shinen can do it justice, in my opinion, and actually I think a 90hz refresh/HDR/4K would make it feel new, and add local multiplayer that somehow keeps up with the action, and that’s reason enough for a new one. Oh and keep most of the GX tracks too, like Mario Kart keeps classic tracks.
Also, I think Nintendo should release a wireless HDMI plug in of sorts, so you don’t have to dock your Switch next to your tv. Or even, hear me out, somehow have NERD (Nintendo European Research and Development) find some ways to allow you to use a full switch as a controller, that connects to a docked switch, so we can get a dual screen set up, like the Wii U. The WiFi chip in the current Switches might be fast enough already. I mean, Mario Kart Super Circuit proves that in some ways, for the fact that it can connect to the little toy karts with enough bandwidth and low enough latency to work in realtime with AR.
Also, I think people have caught up with idea that, yes, dual screen set ups are actually helpful for gameplay. Miyamoto was right, even though Wii U failed miserably. That idea was ahead of it’s time. And one more prediction: Nintendo Land will make a comeback, with tons of new mini games, especially ones with asymmetrical multiplayer gameplay. Only requirement? You will need two switches, one docked and one to use as a controller. And that’s how Nintendo can sell 200 million Switches when it’s all said and done. It will be, undoubtedly , the most popular console ever
One thing is for sure, Switch Pro won’t be released this year and everyone who followed the leaks (fecal-quality tbh) will have eggs on their faces. Dumb idea for the moment, with the pandemic-driven chip shortage crisis going on and the huge momentum that the regular Switch still has.
Anyone who follows the whole PS5 and XSX s**tshow knows what I'm talking about
StarTropics reboot, anyone? It's been 27 years since the last entry in the series!
@Davzilla I'd love to see a Pikmin 4!
@masofdas also the pro controllers exist so the name isn’t too un-nintendo.
I'm keeping my expectations tempered.
I predict just two or three of the big, major games will have solid release dates or solid info on. These are ones we have heard little or nothing on already.
Then a small smattering of mostly satisfactory releases.
I’m really hoping that the new 3D Donkey Kong game rumor is true! Donkey Kong is my favorite fictional character and it’s his 40th anniversary this year! So please Nintendo! 🙏🏻
From above, i will not expect something great except the new model announcement or the Zelda trailer, as the first half of the year was a more calming version of 2020 because of Corona. I hope by 2022 Nintendo get their seats together.
@UndoControl I would love it to be on Switch. We have Divinity Original Sin 2, so it's possible!
I want a sequel to ARMs.
But... It is a bit of a stretch... 🤣
Nintendo is having a much more better year than last year. I'm pump for the direct and I like to be surprised to see which games will be fun to play.
I wish people cold stop complaining in disappointment if the game they want is not shown off and say it like it's their life or their best friend died. In 2018 I was bummed out when yoshi crafty world was deylayed but it came out one year later. It's people have poor taste impatient or something
Booyah! Why would Microsoft have an article like this published in the New York Times if they weren’t planning to have Game Pass, in some form, on the Nintendo Switch! Because they will definitely be announcing it. Or I’ll be eating my words. Microsoft is becoming platform agnostic. If Nintendo said no, then they might lose Minecraft, and all the Bethesda games, which are big sellers on Switch. This strategy works for both MS and Nintendo. Sony is trying to do their own cloud platform, and they already have PlayStation Now. Tuesday we’ll find out.
https://www.nytimes.com/2021/06/10/technology/xbox-games.html?action=click&module=Well&pgtype=Homepage§ion=Technology
Would love some sequels to neglected franchises, including:
Advance Wars
Warioware
Mario vs Donkey Kong
Superstar saga
Fun article. I like how you poke fun at the practice of predicting a future soon to be revealed 😉
I'm predicting the full N64 library released as NES demakes for the Online app.
Am I deranged for wanting Fortune Street on the switch?
1080 switch please. please.
