With just a month until its release on 24th September, it seems there's plenty to look forward to with Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot + A New Power Awakens Set on Switch. As the name makes clear it'll come packed with previous DLC episodes “A New Power Awakens Parts 1 and 2", and Bandai Namco is ramping up to launch with various videos.
The latest, above, is a rather decent gameplay and features overview - not only does it give a taste of the game's depth and variety, but all the footage is the Switch version. At least we have an idea of what to expect from the port.
Though this is an entry in the series with lots for dedicated fans to enjoy, it also strikes us as a reasonable starting point for those that haven't yet jumped in.
Bandai Namco UK has also confirmed that pre-orders will get "an additional sub-story titled “A Competitive Party with Friends”, a cooking item improving players’ stats , 10 D-Medals and early access to the training with Bonyu, a new original character design from Akira Toriyama".
Check out the video and let us know what you think - are you planning to pick this up?

Maybe this be interesting for an article. Seems they just announced an new anime based on an Nintendo ip
As in October of this year we be getting an anime based on fitness boxing
Looks pretty good actually
Will buy the new switch oled, since I play mostly on handheld 90% of the time. And then dock the old one for TV play exclusively this time around.
Already have this on Xbone but am going to double dip.
Yeah this really would look great on the OLED. Looking forward to it!
I picked this up on PS4 back when it came out. I honestly found it kind of disappointing. The combat is solid, but I found the open world aspect lacking. There's not much to do besides fly around collecting orbs. You're also constantly beset by lesser enemy encounters to the point of irritation. I think I was just spoiled by the open world in BotW.
@OldManHermit agreed. I ended up downloading a trainer for the PC version so I could skip orb collecting. Otherwise I probably wouldn't have finished the game. The main story stuff is fun
I actually was waiting for a sale on the PC version, but then the Switch version was announced so I'll hold out and pay full price for that. The only way I'll actually play and finish it is in handheld mode 🤣 I am not a person to sit at a computer or TV and game.
only the standard edition is available everywhere for preorder, can't find the ultimate or even deluxe editions they always mention at the end of each trailer
