Re: Tales Of The Shire: A The Lord Of The Rings Game Updated On Switch

@LastFootnote I see, okay. But I used it correctly. The apostrophe contracts the words when you're shortening "it is", which I was.

I am in the US. I agree with you. Been pronouncing it that way myself. I totally get why the pun is funny, and I also found it funny. I have just learned that - at least until maybe they've now accepted it as an official alternate pronunciation - we have actually been pronouncing it the wrong way. That's just what I had read about it. I wasn't trying to bully you or something. It was just kind of a nerdy grammar factoid. Carry on.

Re: Ubisoft Employee Explains Why Star Wars Outlaws Is A Game-Key Card

@EriXz I don't see how. With how many people are complaining about having physical copies, it sure seems like they are willing to pay more to "actually own" their games. Others would likely make their decision based on convenience or price. To my mind, digital storefronts are in many ways more convenient. And if they are priced the same as a physical copy, then I don't know why you would buy from a retailer. Besides, it's unfair pricing. If anything, we should be boycotting that instead of Game-Key Cards specifically.

Re: "I Can't Afford To Give It Away For Free" - Silksong's Low Price Is Causing Devs To Re-Evaluate Their Own Games

@Elitepatriot But a backlog isn't affected by prices. That's a whole game you've just added, regardless of the cost you paid for it. Nintendo charged less for its games for years. It's a perception of value. And they have moved themselves in line with other pricing levels. Besides, we have no idea the costs behind production, nor do we know the amount of profit they actually make off of each sale.

@Elitepatriot I think you're proving the point of this article. And it seems you're making a judgement on pricing, but I suspect it would be different if this game were more expensive. Maybe $80 is unrealistic for a hypothetical, but what if they decided to price this at $60 or even $40, a $25 increase over the first game? Would you still feel that the developers were making the decision with their "good and honest hearts?"

I think RJ Lake/Nintendo Life rightly point out that gamers (and other consumers for other industries, to be sure) have a poor understanding of the cost behind things, particularly if we want to support fair wages and quality working standards and so forth.

So, is the entire game on a disc for both PS5 and XSX/S?

How many people here would willingly pay at least $100 for the game just to have it entirely on a cartridge?

Also, how does "I'll wait for the GKC to go in the discount bin" make any sense? I thought the issue was the very nature of them. You won't buy them on principle? Or you won't buy them at full price? Seems a little muddled.
But hey, I do think that digital games should be less expensive than physical ones. It makes no sense, given that we know it costs more money to sell physical copies. A lot more. It would have to.
