Re: Japanese Charts: Holy Moly, Look At Those Rhythm Heaven Groove Sales

AussieMcBucket

Don't tell me what to do!!

..... okay, I looked.
Great news for Rhythm Heaven. Though let's be honest, I don't think it sells that well historically either. Mostly a niche franchise, yeah? My point is that it may not be a RH vs. Star Fox thing. There could be any number of reasons. Hopefully they both do well, because I'd like to see both series continue!

Re: Mario Kart Tour Service Officially Ends This September

@NintendoWife Oh, all right. I agree about Run. You could try it out first, and that was enough for me to feel comfortable with spending a relatively small amount on a Mario game. I'm satisfied with my purchase. I remember a lot of backlash - I hope you're sitting down - at the time about Nintendo charging that much for a mobile game, and how it wasn't worth the price, and blah blah blah. So it COULD be the reason they explored other strategies after that, but it is a shame. The games may have suffered for it, too. I'm not sure I've played any others that I enjoyed. Conversely, I was curious about the Pictonico game. But that demo was very limited, and I wasn't sure that the asking price was fair for the rest of the game. I've seen mixed opinions, so I'm still on the fence.

Re: The Crew Motorfest Arriving On Switch 2 This October

From their website:

Play The Crew Motorfest anywhere*, when it launches on October 8 for the Nintendo Switch 2.

*An online connection is required to play the game.

Literally on top of each other. I just found it funny. I was going to say, I wonder if they'll do some alternate mode or whatever for Switch 2. But it appears not. Let's all remember that it is still a home console that you can take on the go. In that order. So, we get a few games where you can't go very far. Ah well. This sounds like it's a pretty great game! I just wish there weren't dozens of others that I'd like to play and have to pay for. Switch 2 "Game Pass" when?

Also, I have a thought for these comments sections. Any way you can make a filter so we can hide all the incessant complaining, particularly about GKCs, NSO, pricing, online, timed events, DLC, subscriptions, graphics, frame rates, Directs, article topics of choice, rumors, good-natured fun... Hm, I guess you'll need to filter every single comments section. But what a relief it would be! It is so grating.

Re: DOOM's Developer id Software Has Supposedly Lost Around 50% Of Its Team

If they were completely shuttering companies, that might be one thing. But to be fired because you've been deemed a "redundancy", that's terrible. They're maintaining the value of the brands they own, while eliminating the people that built it up. "We'll just find other people who can do it, and most likely at a lower cost to us." This is just one example of what companies do all the time, and seemingly now with more frequency and reckless abandon.
