Re: Mini Review: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond (Switch 1) - An Impressive Version If You've Yet To Upgrade

@SplatRay001 Totally! I think Nintendo wants this game to be a technical showcase for the new console. Though they could put more marketing strength behind it, if that's the case. But all or most of their promotional materials for the game talk about the graphical capabilities with the Switch 2 Edition. Again, their extra work for the next-gen version seems to have been well worth it. I hope it sells very well. I do intend to get the game, myself. But I'm going to play through the whole series, first. I've missed several entries. Though I may miss out on Prime 2, since I'm not sure of an easy way to play that. I could probably play my Wii Prime 3 on Wii U, assuming it still works. Anyway. That's my story. 😅

Re: The Nintendo Museum Has Finally Got Its Christmas Decs Up

If these are up through April, I wonder if these are even really intended as "holiday" lights. The post on Twitter doesn't even mention that. Also, is Christmas celebrated widely in Japan? I genuinely don't know. I suppose maybe many parts of the world - USA included- embrace a secular observation of the festivities.

@darkswabber That's how I feel as well, though maybe not as sternly. I think if the game had looked just the same on other modern consoles, we might think it looks a little underwhelming but accept it for being an upscale of an older title. It's that there were seemingly superior (from a fidelity standpoint) ports on other consoles, and the Switch 2 version should likely have been able to match them. 60 FPS and a higher resolution are an improvement over the S1 version, but that could also just be the natural bump S2 gives for unlocked graphics processing.
