Update #3: It appears that the Collector's Edition has once again sold out. The store is at least still up this time in both the UK and EU.
Please note that some external links on this page are affiliate links, which means if you click them and make a purchase we may receive a small percentage of the sale. Please read our FTC Disclosure for more information.
Update #2 [Fri 14th Oct, 2022 12:00 BST] After disappearing off the face of the Earth yesterday, the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Collector's Edition is now, once again, available on the My Nintendo Store.
Rather than purchasing the full bundle, Nintendo is offering all of the extra contents of the Collector's Edition (the concept art book and steel case within the larger outer box) without the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 software for £29.99 (or your regional equivalent). Nintendo has stated that the reasoning for the separation is to "give customers the flexibility to purchase and enjoy the game at launch"', which we can't disagree with.
The expected release date (when the bundle ships) is the 21st October, but if you manage to grab a copy, you'll see the message "This product is available on back order, please expect extended delivery times", so there's potential for wait times to be a bit longer with this.
Perhaps we should have seen a move like this coming all along. Back in May, Nintendo announced that those who pre-ordered the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Collector's Edition would receive a copy of the game on launch, with all of the extras shipping separately in the Autumn of 2022. While this almost worked for the US pre-orders, Nintendo Europe's move to just sell the extra content on their own works given the extortionate delays from the game's launch. We guess it'll all work out in the end, right?
At the time of writing, the My Nintendo Store is still up and running, with the Collector's Edition extras still in stock.
Update #1 [Thu 13th Oct, 2022 12:45 BST] The UK and European My Nintendo Store is now back up and running after yesterday's crash, but the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Collector's Edition is nowhere to be seen.
It would be fair to say that yesterday's pre-orders for the much-delayed title didn't go exactly to plan. A rushed email release led to the My Nintendo Store crashing due to the influx of customers trying to get a copy of the game in their basket. Browsing through Twitter in the ensuing hours, it is clear that the disappointment was felt by all:
The confusing part is the whereabouts of the release now that the site is once again functional. It is currently unclear as to whether the game actually sold out during the brief moments before the store crashed, or if the release has been pulled completely and will be restructured with better planning.
We have reached out to Nintendo for some clarification on the missing title and are currently awaiting a response. Rest assured, we will update this article as soon as we have more information.
Original article [Wed 12th Oct, 2022 12:50 BST] After hearing that the UK and European releases of the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Collector's Edition would be pushed back to the first half of October, it has been an anxious wait to find out when (or, indeed, if) the release would drop. Well, the Collector's Edition is finally here and, predictably, the My Nintendo Store was not prepared for it.
Nintendo of Europe has today sent an email saying that pre-orders are now open for the game's special edition and you can visit the My Nintendo Store to bag a copy.
If only it was that simple. With the high volume of customers, it looks like the online store is struggling to cope with all of the traffic, currently displaying the following message:
We're currently experiencing a high number of customers on the site, please come back later.
It is almost as if pushing back a release date so many times gets people itching to grab their copy as soon as the opportunity arises - who would have thought??
As we cannot access the site, we have no word as to whether the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Collector's Edition is still in stock, but we will be eagerly refreshing the online store in an attempt to find out more. In the meantime, if you've yet to grab a copy but aren't fussed about the Collector's Edition, there are plenty of options available here.
Are you hoping to get your hands on a Collector's Edition? Let us know if you have been successful in the comments below!

Oh, thats why it's crashed, I thought it was N64 controllers again. (Which i have as a pinned tab on my browser)
GO SCALPERS GO!!
Been trying for an hour and no luck
I was one of the lucky few that got their orders in within the first 10 minutes, when the site was still operational; albeit beseiged by 500 errors and traffic.
As the article doesn't mention this; the Xenoblade 3 Collector's Edition sells for £29.99 and releases 21st October, which is pretty good value for the box, SteelBook, and art book.
Atleast they sent out an email this time. Unlike the N64 controllers......
I got to the payment stage before it crashed and (presumably) lost my order, which is more annoying than if it was never a possibility. Running a store is not a competency of Nintendo, and they shouldn't try to do it themselves anymore.
Nintendo. Buddy. Listen.
Why are you so useless when it comes to this sort of thing? Just make a set number of copies based on consumer interest, and let them buy it without risk of your site going down immediately.
Please. Just be better.
I somehow ordered during the 10-minute window where it was possible before the site went down. I got the confirmation email, so hopefully it fully went through.
This situation is so strange though. How many times have they attempted and failed to sell us this one particular item?
I’m fully expecting it will be sold out by the time I get into the site
Went to preorder, had to switch to my bank app to authorize the purchase, came back to the site and it crashed.
Haven't been able to get back in since.
Raging
To the surprise of absolutely no one, yet another clown shower of a release.
Been trying to get in for almost 1 1/2 hour now.
I love how Nintendo UK picked the absolute worst possible day and time to put this up for preorder for me, when I had a doctor's appointment to go to after being at home most of the time for the last week 🙄 Got the email alert on my phone about 5 minutes after I left the house on the way there, couldn't very well just stop in the middle of crossing a couple of busy roads to check it properly and by the time I did a couple of minutes later the site had already gone into meltdown and still is. Resigned myself to the fact I've probably missed out now.
Was one of the lucky ones, working from home so had my emails alert ready the second it came it and then the mad dash to get the order in. Harder than it should be
I didn't expect much from NOE and I'm still disappointed
You delay it twice, put the store down a week for maintenance and still mess up
Maybe stop making items exclusive to MNS which clearly can't handle this stuff
you can keep that, I don’t want it
I got one minutes after it went live
Good luck to all who are trying to get a copy. It's really a shame this keeps happening. I'm not looking forward to when I have to do this process again for the Zelda TOTK special edition and Pyra/Mythra amiibo.
What was the website down for a entire week for?
@Sam_ATLUS I wonder how the Bayonetta 1 Physical launch will go now its a "My Nintendo Store" exclusive in Europe.
Got a rare doodah right here
One on Ebay for £229.00 lol
This is EXACTLY what happened in North America, twice over. The first time, it crippled the site completely; no purchases available for anything. The second time didn't fully kill the store, but there were a ton of cart difficulties and slowdown. I managed to secure an order the second time, but not without a lot of reload wrestling and tab management.
Good luck to all!
Got one as soon I got the email alert. FYI there were no n64 controllers
Never made it to cart screen. Oh well.
Got mine preordered as soon as I saw the email. One of the benefits of working from home I guess, otherwise I probably would've missed out. Still they've had months to prepare for this, and after the crapshow that was the NA preorders maybe they should've prepared a bit better this time around?
Sucks that people that want one won't be able to because of how awful Nintendo's store is. Hope everybody still trying manages to get one!
My PC died a few days ago, so currently using a borrowed laptop. Totally forgot to set up a new e-mail alarm. Got the e-mail 2 hours ago while I was in the shower, somehow checked it right out of the bathroom, saw the e-mail, but have had no luck logging on to the German website (as that's the one that services my country)...was almost late for work at my second job, called my best friend who's working from home at the moment and is trying to log on as well, while I'm here in class and refreshing like crazy while teaching my lesson...
Nintendo, you can be so infuriating..
I was one of the fortunate ones, but then again, I have been preparing for this day anxiously for months now. So I had multiple email alerts setup, made sure I was logged into the store on all my devices, updated all my bank and address details, etc.
Even though I was on the site within seconds of the email arriving, it was obvious the store was having some issues. It didn't feel at all responsive.
Hope everyone else who's been waiting manages to acquire one when the store goes back up.
btw, I like how two hours after the site went down, the error message still says they are "experiencing a high number of customers on the site"... like, you're obviously not experiencing ANY customers at all if the site has been down for two hours lol.
Somehow managed to get a preorder before the site crashed. Good luck to everyone still trying to get one.
Nintendo keeps outdoing itself when it comes to sheer incompetence. I can't believe the people in charge of this still have jobs.
@Phillips455 That's another disaster waiting to happen
@steizgr8 exactly what happened to me
I hope next years tears of the kingdom collector's edition isn't done this way what a joke
I would've bought the collector's edition if it were available at launch but lost interest as soon as they said it's exclusive to their store. I wish I could just buy the art book separately. Maybe they'll release a another book once all the DLC is out. Probably only in Japan but I don't mind importing. It's better than this whole situation.
Coming up to 3 hours later since the email, still unable to even ACCESS the site. Nintendo is such a joke.
I see that all the other European Nintendo store websites are down too. Unbelievable.
@Matl Or let us order this somewhere else. Nintendo has some incompetent people working for them.
You know else would be nice? A restock of the AC amiibo card Albums. S1-4 go for no less than $200aud each on eBay.
Good luck my dudes
What was that maintenance for a week or so ago for? Making sure the message will load when the site crashes?
https://youtu.be/P4qTxRkLulQ
I am yet to even receive the email after subscribing to the CE.
Maybe the best way to look at this is that Nintendo focuses on games development rather than any extraneous nonsense.
Still, I'd quite like this nonsense.
Have been trying for over 3 hours ….this is such a shambles and this is not even for a game just the extras
Why don't they just do an open preorder for the artbook, box and steelbook? At this point I don't even mind waiting another year for it, Limited Run style, so long as I get them because I've already got the game. This way of doing things is an utter shambles.
I’ve been refreshing my emails on and off since 20th September when their initial email said they would open orders “very soon”.
They then send this one out 2 minutes after I entered a meeting for work which lasted an hour. So of course I missed it. Absolutely shocking man, such bad service.
Hopefully it's a deliberate ploy to suck in the scalpers, then they'll release a boat load more stock and keep it available for everyone.
Hopefully.
@Mach_Rider That's a lot of hoops you went through just to be empty handed. It's not worth it..
They can keep that piece of of overpriced tinplate.
Is this even legal? I mean, people can get into messed up situations from all the hysteria. What if you got the mail in traffic and got into an accident? They should have given a random number to all people that showed interest in the game and they should just pick the lucky numbers today. If some winners don't want to order it, a new number can be picked.
my nintendo store only is complete bs honestly nintendo should of learned their lesson not to pull this stunt again especially with scalpers if it in store only at gamestop or bestbuy they would limit 1 per person.
Man I got mine luckily way back in NA hell, but this is seriously costing sales c'mon Nintendo. Hype can only last so long before people start thinking this isn't worth the trouble.
I actually feel bad that I'm taking an extended break from the game right before the final boss because the Bayonetta series has absolutely enamored me after trying it out recently.
What a fiasco, can't believe it. They need solid online instrastructure if they want to go down that way for collectors and exclusives. Will the site crash at every game that becomes available? common Nintendo, you are one of the big three
As of 16.37pm, still impossible to get on the site. Can't see that as all being legitimate Xenoblade fans, seeing as it's been consistent all day and Xenoblade is still a relatively minor franchise alongside Mario, Zelda and so on. Scalper bots are seemingly out in force.
Got my order in and the only reason how I was able to was because I was at my PC when the email came it. About 5 minutes later the site stopped working. Hasn't worked since either.
Xenoblade 3 collectors edition has brought nothing but negative PR for Nintendo.
Preorders should have went up months ago, on a model of matching demand to orders. No scalpers, no crazy waiting for a random email to appear at witch o’clock, and no unhappy fans who genuinely want to celebrate the game. How can they get it so completely wrong? Is the MNS store ran by Trolls? Can’t think of any other explanation at this point.
I don't understand how this can be so complicated. They know how many people had registered an interest so surely you at least make as many copies as people who showed an interest. Why not send people individualised ways of placing an order? Why not allow people to place a deposit or pre-order and then manufactur as many as needed.
I have the special editions for 1 and 2, it's going to be disapointing if I can't get the third one too.
Also, lets just release it in the middle of a working day, when a great number of people will have no chance of getting it, with no real warning. Brilliant.
@Kremmell tbh they should just produce collector's editions based on how many people want to buy one instead of having the (most passionate) fans go through all of this crap just to (maybe) not even get one at the end.
It is genuinely baffling to me that Nintendo have created a situation where their entire European operation has been brought down by fans of a series which compared to their other franchises isn't even that popular, just... how is it so bad? Why?!
@janze True. Anyway, I just wish there was an official announcement. I really wanna be free from this agony of not being able to enjoy my day. Still camping the pc, how the heck can I sleep tonight? Still, if the site went offline when most people were at work what would happen now?
Site still down. Any hope of this still being in stock is gone.
Nintendo has just taken the £29.99 from my bank account, so someone's still in the office.
@Jack_Goetz when did you place your order?
@Otoemetry This morning, but they didn't take the money at the time, which was a bit worrying as when the site went down I couldn't see my orders.
@Jack_Goetz oh good I was worried you'd managed to get onto the site this evening and place an order, I doubt there's anyone able to place orders at this point so I'm keeping hope that the store will come back to life and I'll be able to place an order
@Otoemetry same
My Nintendo Store is still down.
received the email at 11.32, placed the order and received confirmation email at 11.42 then website down. Judy check my bank, 29.99 was taken by Nintendo.
Nintendo is a shamble
It's now out of stock!
The item is out of stock. How not surprising :/
The site is finally back online.
But it's listed as out of stock.
I'm so angry, it makes me want to stop supporting Nintendo in future if this is how they treat their fans.
Weirdly I've been able to add it to my cart just now and get all the way through the checkout. When I refreshed the page the button was briefly available to Order before greying out and changing to out of stock. I did get the order confirmation but Nintendo have taken exactly £0.00 out of my bank so I doubt this will result in an order being actually fulfilled.
I'm making a formal complaint on their website, I suggest everyone else do the same and then tweet them about it. If America could bully them into doing another release them so can we.
@kemra102 I also got charged with 0.00. but i got a receit, so i guess all good. I read above somewhere that it took them some time to take the money from the account.
@Enigk @Tainaru @RupeeClock @RupeeClock @Otoemetry Just made an account to say... Website came back on and said out of stock
But you can preorder it RIGHT NOW. I got my copy
Holland is back up!
And the site is down again! It showed a pre-order for me for a second but it gave a bunch of errors while logging in.
I just got a pre-order/back order in about 4 minutes ago. Confirmation email received. Let's see.
@gcunit have you also been chargen with 0.00?
@Flatlinerking I can't get back on the store 😫🤬
It is incomprehensible how the company with the best selling console has a webshop that is down for at least half a day because it has a pre-order for goodies of a sort of niche JRPG.
@Flatlinerking Thanks but the site is offline again. Those scalpers are back on. Loads of listings on ebay for £150 plus. Hopefully everyone with any sense will not pay that price for a paperback and a steel book.
...I haven't been able to order it. The site is just broken (but I'm paranoid as they say they have loads of customers on it.) Man, I will be gutted if I miss out. Have all the other big box versions. WAAAAAGH!
Well I bought and had the usual verify from bank then it crashed after i put in the code and got no email confirmation wtf this is a sad day for UK customers.
@Yakamo74 Not just UK, it is the whole of Europe.
@MajorTom that's even worse
I've been refreshing constantly, still haven't managed to get through to the German site...
Removed - inappropriate
I’m not sure how but I was able to order at around 20:16, and got a confirmation email and Nintendo active card check.
Absolutely miserable day of checking and rechecking the site, I don’t know how their digital team wasn’t better prepared for this.
It's been 9 hours and still the same message from My Nintendo Store about them having too many customers. I've never been so frustrated with something as with XB3 SE pre-orders they've gotten nothing right with this
I got charged £0.00 but I assume that’s just because it’s a pre order, Nintendo will charge the card on dispatch edit card has now been charged
Yeah for everyone getting charged £0.00, that's how the Nintendo store usually handles preorders, it's just an authorisation charge but it seems like it doesn't take long for the full amount to come out. So long as you've got your confirmation email seems like that's hard confirmation.
@RyOfSun Read the small print. It says they only formally accept your order at the point of dispatch, so there is no 'hard confirmation', not until you get a dispatch notification.
@gcunit Oh yikes you're right, apologies, 'hard confirmation' was strong wording on my part that jumped the gun a bit. I'd tried to order earlier in the day and the site crashed while the payment was processing and never got an email, got it in this evening and got one so that's where that idea came from. Still, it's a confirmation of some sort at least, that's probably just to cover themselves in the case they can't fulfil it... which we sadly can't rule out in this case :/
So as midnight has turned the store is back up again but the Xenoblade CE is nowhere to be found, wonder what's gone on? Perhaps there will be a statement about it released on Twitter at some point
What a joke.......
Absolutely pathetic by nintendo. Again. And it won't be the last time either.
@Otoemetry Yeah, just come here to report that. Pretty pathetic really. Not even a 'sold out' listing, just completely removed and gone. Today really has been handled terribly. Glad other people were able to get theirs. Was a complete washout of constant page refreshes and frustration for me. And I wish evil things upon the people who've already listed their preorders for the £29.99 box/steelbook/artbook set for £150+ on Ebay, it's an absolutely morally bankrupt thing to do when so many fans just legitimately want something to display at home.
@Otoemetry Yup, I'm also here wondering what's happened there. Annoyingly, I still had it in my basket when the site came back up, but upon trying to complete the purchase I was told the item was out of stock. It's then that I went back and discovered the item page was now a 404 error.
I can't imagine they've really sold out given how little time the site has stayed up. Fingers crossed for tomorrow.
I'm gutted. Hopeful there is some sort of communication tomorrow. But man, this was a horrid shopping experience and not a good reflection on the UK store. Full clarity. Of course I'm upset I didn't manage to get a copy, but I would have equally hated grabbing a copy after having to sit at a PC refreshing an error message for much of the evening.
Site finally loaded for me and it's gone. Not even a page for it.
Damn it, first time missing a Xenoblade SE...
@Mach_Rider Same. And it will be a cold day in hell before I buy one from eBay.
This is again proof that Nintendo doesn't care about their fanbase and only about the money. They do this every time when it comes to collectable items. The My Nintendo points store is also a joke: Either it's impossible to buy items because the vouchers won't work or the payment system is broken. Contacting their customer service to complain is also useless, they'll only shrug and say too bad when you contact them...
would be nice if they sold the xenoblade 3 artbook separately at book stores or something.
@FX102A I get you’re annoyed but then you’re okay with becoming part of the problem.
Xenoblade 2 is my fave game of all time and would love the collectors edition but I stand firm on not encouraging the scalpers that is is profitable for them.
I had hoped of finally being able to get a Xenoblade collectors item when it was finally released but I knew from the start I’d miss out and set my expectations for that.
These exclusive Nintendo store items that Amazon and other online retailers could sell too and share the load; are a total joke. Clearly Nintendo aren't prepared/capable of managing increased website traffic. I couldn't get on at all till I forgot to check and went to bed. It's sold out now. Very annoyed as I'm normally okay at nabbing rare stuff online.
And I assumed scalpers would double up thinking £60 or £70 not £150. Ass clowns.
You think you had sh*t experience? Read this:
I was lucky enough to check nintendo website RIGHT BEFORE they send the emails and noticed that xenoblade is already available for preorder. Ofc I've preordered right away, got confirmation email. In the evening, when everyone was still fighting for even logging in on the website, I was charged for my order, so I thought that everything was indeed ok and I was very lucky to get it.
well, I was until today mornig, when I noticed that my order was removed from my account for no reason (I didn't even get an cancellation email), while my money are still being charged. Now I have no game and no money, so FU nintendo and your sh*t practices with your sh*t webstore.
@Horfire It's the fault of the store more than Nintendo itself.
@Sentenza I think the order is ok, I can also confirm that I was charged had got a confirmation email and now the order is nowhere to be found. I think is because they deleted the item from the store therefore somehow all orders containing that item are gone. At least that is what I lie to myself.
@Kremmell well, I hope that you're right. Having someone with simmilar problem makes me a little bit less worried. In the meantime I've contacted them by email, let's see their response.
I wouldn't be suprised though if they removed all the orders due to yesterday problems and will will force us to try order everything again. I guess that's what happend in the US after the first wave of the preorders which ended in simmilar experience?
So Europe had it as bad as America, huh? I guess Nintendo’s online presence is simply garbage regardless of the geography…
As someone who just recently received the special edition in the mail a few days ago, let me say it was one of the the most unpleasant and aggravatingly annoying transactions I’ve ever had the displeasure of willingly submitting myself to and that I hope all of you hopefuls in here that haven’t yet secured a copy remain patient and vigilant and hope they do a mulligan like they did over here.
Gods peed.
@Sentenza That would be just crazy. To cancel all orders and redo everything. But then again.. I will also send them an email but after all this mess it will take them a while to reply. Why is it so hard for them to give an official tweet "we are out of stock/ there will be another window to purchase/ we hate you all and like to see you in agony", something, anything..
Nintendo lost my support forever.
Very angry about this!!!
Only see CE resellers from the UK 🤔🤔🤔
And not in other countries in the EU...
@MajorTom check ebay
Only CE from the UK
Bad Nintendo! What a terrible way to treat people that you know just want to pay money 💰 and get something….here’s hoping they have the sense to let people who have missed out actually make a pre order
@LinkVsGanon I am Dutch and have checked the Dutch store yesterday for about half a day regularly. The site was down for sure. I expect the English version is what most editions are anyway. In Europe are many languages not translated since in general most play the English version. The store is likely managed in general for Europe anyway.
I have nothing of real value to add to this conversation except that I'm getting a 404 error when I try to access the French page now. It essentially says that something is wrong and that shouldn't happen. Well duh, Nintendo 😂😭
@MajorTom
The dutch site was online briefly yesterday at around 21:10. I barely managed to put an order in, got a confirmation email and everything, but now the site says such an order was never placed.
@KnightAnon Yep I also noticed it, tried to log in at the time but got an error. The site went back down right after so was just too late.
Oh wow, based on the comments, it sounds like Nintendo has done an absolutely abysmal job.
It's worrying to hear that some people managed to place an order last night, but those orders have been disregarded.
What a mess their site is, honestly.
My early order is still intact, but I shouldn't have to be "one of the lucky few".
Honestly though, we knew it was going to be an utter disaster the second we heard it was going to be a MSN exclusive
Nintendo is very annoying because they know their online infrastructure is subpar, yet they never do anything to improve it
It's not the first time the site crashed because people were trying to order things
You'd think after the first couple of times they'd do something about it, but no
@RupeeClock Can you still see your order in the "My Orders" tab?
so glad they sold this for £29.99. I was expecting it to be a lot more
What an absolute mess. The site went live ONE TIME at around 8pm BST after the initial email at 11:30am BST - this was for all of 5 minutes before crashing once again. Then the page to actually preorder was flat out removed at around midnight.
Twelve hours of this sh*t. I would be suprised if those who actually managed to grab an order numbered in the triple digits.
Congratulations once again, nintendo, for being the absolute worst. I truly look forward to not using your awful website again.
@RupeeClock it's totally random, I've placed my order before initial site crash and still my order was removed without any notification. My card is still charged though.
@Kremmell
Yes, my order is still intact when viewed on their website.
I ordered the collector's edition together with a few Mario Kart 8 sticker sheets, the stickers have already shipped whilst the collector's edition is status "awaiting shipment".
@Sentenza
If they've charged your card you should definitely contact them about the status of your order. They should refund you or fulfil your order, and failure to do either would be a serious issue.
I have heard that stock hasn’t sold out but they have not confirmed when you’ll be able to order from the site , this is such a shambles and why can no one actually tell people what’s happening ???!!
@RupeeClock
I think the stickers are the reason why you can see you order, because it's at least linked to an existing/active item in their database.
Mine is no longer visible neither, btw (france)
My order is still showing under 'My Orders' and I didn't order anything other than the Collector's Edition itself...
This is such a balls up on Nintendo's part.
@Jack_Goetz maybe you have both ordered it trough uk store, which is a bit different than the other EU stores?
anyway it looks likt this sh*tshow will continue for a while... currently waiting for an answer for my ticket.
Here's the response I got from Nintendo when I inquired about the stock and the page:
"Thank you for contacting My Nintendo Store.
Regarding your recent communication, first of all, we would like to apologise for the inconveniences this has caused you. We are currently experiencing technical difficulties with the website regarding high demand for the pre order.
Our IT team is working very hard to solve it as fast as possible. We kindly suggest that you retry at a later moment or keep retrying until the system lets you proceed."
At least they're working on it. I think it means too that they still have it in stock, though we'll see. Anyways, hope that's helpful to somebody. I guess I'll continue to check the website throughout the day.
@duckie27 Thank you for the update.
Store is down again. 500 Internal Server Error or 404 not found.
EDIT: Seems to be a problem with the German store during sign-in. UK store works fine.
EDIT 2: Tried it on other regional stores as well - trying to log in anywhere, but the UK gives me the same error (my profile region's not set to UK). Logging in UK displays stuff in cart I've added on other stores, but doesn't log me in them...tried deleting cookies to see if it's an issue with my system, but it's not apparently...
@GrailUK the store is run directly by NOE since their partnership with the Hut Group came to an end, all these issues are a continuation of the fact that they do not have experience in large scale logistics for consumer merchandise but they're doing it anyway presumably because they didn't want to pay the hut group to do it anymore.
My UK order made after 8pm yesterday is still visible in my orders and I’ve been charged for it.
It's hard to call this anything but incompetence.
I almost died trying to read that headline
I was very fortunate to load up the link as soon as I got the email from Nintendo - preordered with no problems, but I feel for all those that missed out. I would have hoped Ninty would stagger stock over a number of hours / days to allow others to get a chance.
It hasn’t sold out but you simply cannot order it
This is unexpectable for a company like Nintendo. You canot treat your customers like this, as you already guessed i didin't manage to get one.
Been trying since yesterday. I can't even login(dutch).
@lemonjellydude Are you sure?
Ya know really as long as you have a physical copy of the game that’s what really matters, these collectors editions aren’t really worth it, you buy it to collect it, but you have to ask yourself is it worth it because I’m lookin at it and it doesn’t look so great, it’s all hype really, the companies are created hype to get you to buy it but I’d just ignore these greedy companies and let them keep their overpriced junk, as long as you have the game that’s what matters
@Kremmell @TommySmiley
Ok, after waiting two hours in the chat queue I've finaly got a response:
"I have just checked your order, your order has been placed successfully.
It is because of the technical difficulties that you are not able to see it on your account. We recommend you to check again this afternoon, our IT team is working as fast as they can to restore everything. "
so if anyone recived confirmation email, he should be fine.
I was lucky to get an order in early. It is mind-numbing how badly Nintendo is handling these despite having their own store. The fact they made less copies than the amount of people that had registered interest is just plain stupidity.
It is not hard to create a system for this to work smoothly and make everyone happy. Tie interest registration to accounts, not emails, reserve a copy for a week for each account that has registered interest. If they don't end up buying it, just sell it as normal afterwards.
You'd think that watching what happened during the North American preorder fiasco, coupled with extended maintenance, would all mean that this would've went a LOT smoother....
"Those that fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it." - Winston Churchill
I really feel for those who missed out.
They should stay away from store exclusivity.
Clearly they don't have the website, the backend for it, so please let actual professional resellers used to those "peaks" (ps5, previous collectors..) manage the sales.
@Inazuma_Jin no one has said it has sold out , it was quoted earlier that Nintendo team said : Our IT team is working very hard to solve it as fast as possible. We kindly suggest that you retry at a later moment or keep retrying until the system lets you proceed."
welp, the site died again
Great...first I can't log in...now site is completely dead again, so I can't even try and fix the log-in issue...
@lemonjellydude Let's hope that this is the case, and maybe we will have another opportunity.
@Koffyman While normally I agree that Special Editions feature a lot of extra fluff, the Xenoblade artbooks are some of the best I've seen in a CE and as someone who not only loves the series, but is interested in art and making of/development materials (and has the previous books), that artbook is just as an essential piece as the game itself.
Now, the steelbook I don't really care for...
You’ve got to laugh at this. We are essentially causing a ddos on nintendos store by wanting to buy a product. Site down again.
Wonder how much this costs in lost sales of other products
I don't even want Xenoblade 3 (at least not right now) but this entire situation has been an utter disaster in terms of an online storefront. I wonder if they'll show this in web design classes in the future as an example of what not to do.
@Fizza I can already see the YouTube videos: "The Xenoblade Online Fiasco of 2022"
What a mess.
I just went ahead and paid a ludicrous amount of money for the US Special Edition off eBay so I could line up the boxes on my shelf. I'm not happy with myself about that, but after the failure of Nintendo in this matter, I had little choice.
Nintendo is being trolled after every tweet , all asking about Xenoblade 3…😂
@lemonjellydude Deservedly so.
So the site has now gone off again today? If anything, this has turned out worse than the US fiasco. I'm genuinely concerned I won't be able to order the Splatoon 3 amiibos either at this rate although hopefully other sites will have those.
all on ebay already, sad
all this fuss for a useles book, one of the most boring collector editions ever
Predictably, eBay is now full of the preorders, at scalper prices. I registered my interest and got the email, but the closest I ever got to securing an order was the "come back later" message. It was always obvious that this release would be scalped, made even more certain by the limited numbers and availability through one single source. The scalpers know that they only have one target. It was inevitable that it would be all but impossible for most to make a direct purchase. This is where Limited Run have their business model right. Open the orders, leave them open for a month or two and take the payment at preorder. Once the listing is closed, round the final number of orders up for manufacture and everyone who wanted to order one can get one without frustration, site crashes or paying a scalper. The only downside is paying upfront (which I don't object to) and it surely beats paying the scalper mark-up.
@Browny
There is always a choice, and the one you made contributes to the practice of scalping.
So me and a bunch of other Xeno fans were keeping each other updated on the sub-Reddit about this yesterday. It seems that only those who were on the site within the first minute or two got their copies for the vast majority of the day. At about 8pm UK time, the site went live again, showing the CE as out of stock. However, if you refreshed at certain points, it became available again... for like 5 minutes.
I was lucky, I got mine ordered at that point. But I did have several error messages in the process. It's showing on my MNS account and I got the email though, so I think I'm safe.
But yeah, my heart bleeds for those who missed out. This was all-around a massive cluster :/
@BenoitRen
Lovely view from that high horse.
But my desire to satisfy my personal sense of ownership trumps some weak resistance to scalper behavior or the complacency of companies when it comes to this.
Just got back a reply from Nintendo Store staff. It seems that if you got a confirmation email with an order number you're safe, as they say my order is registered in their system and will be sent to me as soon as possible.
I suppose its £30 saved which in the current climate is good. Poor show though as i was a whole 20 minutes after the email went out and it was all crashed. Nintendo must have known the number of folks on the mailing list would kill the site.
So, my brother-in-law, who's Japanese, just tried nabbing me a copy from there (as their re-sellers aren't quite as cheeky in their pricing) - it was about 45 pounds, which I was fine with. Sold while we were checking out. Found another one at the same price. Sold instantly as well...guess the insanity's not just in Europe...
@Mach_Rider More likely to be other European buyers snapping them up for that price.
Epic facepalm times a million
Currently can't get on at all again, so can't even check on my other preorders like Bayonetta 3. Two days of this. Surely this can't all be real people sat at their PCs or refreshing their phones and scalper bots must be hammering the store as well, or Nintendo have deliberately closed the site off.
This is an absolute joke
It looks like Nintendo learned absolutely NOTHING from the US preorder trainwreck (that actually happened TWICE). Sorry to hear this happened yet again for fellow Xenoblade fans in the EU.
Site is back. No Xenoblade.
The site is up
I guess they sold out!
NOOOoooo.....
What a shambles this has been. Considerably disgruntled at being expected to camp at a PC for 2 days in the hope of grabbing a copy. The lack of communication has been very annoying.
I'll just have to pray Ebay prices calm down a bit over the coming months then. Because as much as I love Xenoblade and want this to go alongside all my other collector's editions, I'm not getting conned into paying £150+ for a £29.99 box/artbook/steelbook set either.
@TromaDogg At this point I'm kinda tempted to go for a listing that's $120 USD with shipping and import fees...but still not giving up...it's nearly midnight over here, but I'll keep refreshing...and got relatives in another time zone refreshing as well, in case I fall asleep...God, I feel like a test subject...
EDIT: What's interesting is that the Italian page still shows up on Google if you put in the item number. But it still leads to a 404. Price in Euro is 35 in case anybody's interested though.
I will print this ***** myself before I pay 120$ for this book. And I will sell it for 90$ to the scalpers
@IamReAllyFeelinF5 Thinking of doing that myself. A scan's bound to show up eventually.
Just asking.. how many of us are actually still mashing the F5 button like crazy.. I think the page is going to return but this silence from Nintendo is killing my hope
@IamReAllyFeelinF5 I certainly am It's already past midnight over here, but still pushing...
@IamReAllyFeelinF5 I’m still occasionally checking, despite being in the U.S. on holiday.
Probably will either learn to live without it or buy one off eBay and leave a bad review for the seller being a filthy scalper and wishing they bank account gets hacked and drained.
There’s approx 35 for sale on eBay.
At least they only got under 100, so the main bulk is still there..
My buddy and I are going to do some splitted nightwatch. Good luck comrades
This is horrible. I'm so disappintes I couldn't buy one.
@IamReAllyFeelinF5 can't refresh the 404 error page for some reason so I'm occasionally loading the page and searching the relevant areas, definitely not spamming f5 tho haha
@Otoemetry Thats wierd. Its working for me
The shop is probably in its last breaths again
@IamReAllyFeelinF5 you mean you're not getting the 404 error page? Does the stock show as sold out?
@IamReAllyFeelinF5 @Otoemetry I believe there's some miscommunication going on here. To be clear - the shop itself works. The item page link itself leads to a 404.
ah lol i mean i get the 404 sorry for the confusion
I dug around the code for the CE product page. Found a "This product is on backorder" message...hopefully that means there might be another batch on the way.
@Mach_Rider thanks for clarifying.
@IamReAllyFeelinF5 no worries!
@Mach_Rider hmmm why not try another product to see if that's just the default for anything out of stock? Some of the older amiibo ought to be good candidates, the Boo and Daisy ones from the Mario series have been OOS since the shop opened.
@Mach_Rider I really hope so. It would make sense because most of us didnt have a chance
@Otoemetry Tried a few unavailable items - the code on them has the "this item is out of stock" message and no mention of "backorder" from what I can tell. The exact message reads: "This product is available on backorder, please expect extended delivery times."
Don't get your hopes up too much though, it's been a decade since I did any programming and I'm quite rusty at this...
Thanks for checking, it`s interesting
@Mach_Rider that's really interesting, thanks
So till now nothing happend. Gn
I wonder why Nintendo doesn't make an announcement about the stock, just to clarify. This was an awful experience.
I 'am tempted to buy one from ebay but I will not do it!
@Inazuma_Jin They want us to be stuck in the endless now
@Mach_Rider @IamReAllyFeelinF5 @MK73DS @Inazuma_Jin
listing for xenoblade is back, altough marked as sold out. Not sure though if it showed up in the last few minutes and bots already snagged it out, or is it still coming
EDIT: its working
It says October 21, so they postponed it... we finally get a break and a good nights sleep. Cyu at that time brothers
@jcboyer515 @Otoemetry @Zimon @GrailUK
see my post above, xeno seems to be back
@IamReAllyFeelinF5 it's the release/shipping date, not start of the preorder. Better stay awake for a few more mins
It's back! Best of luck!
ah wo LETS GOO
keep trying, succeed to order a copy!
My first attempt failed - gave me cart error. Second one got through!
Shoutout to @Inazuma_Jin @IamReAllyFeelinF5, my sleepless buddies from last night!
I LOVE YOU ALL LOVELY PEOPLE!! Seriously, I'm so happy right now!
Hope you all managed to secure a copy!
Just ordered one. Seems to be flipping between in and out of stock using the email link now. Even got confirmation email.
I am glad you got it I still didnt tho because i cant log into the german site.. because i accidently logged into the english one xD
I logged out of the eng and the ger still says i am already logged in
I cant make a 2nd account either
@IamReAllyFeelinF5
clear cookies or smth. Even if you are looged in on eng, it shouldn't be a problem to just change your contry trough the button at the bottom of the website. I did that yesterday, because I've tried to buy it trough ireland region first
@IamReAllyFeelinF5 This happened to me yesterday! Delete all your cookies and try logging in again!
@Sentenza THANK YOU SO MUCH !
I managed to get it, it seems to be in stock in France at least !
I just went through the payment loop twice - even to credit card verification, but it's just going around and around now. Tried several more times. Finally the 5th one got through but only if it was the only item in the cart
@MK73DS
glad I could help I think it's only fair if very limited xeno CE ends up in the hands of xeno fans, not some filthy scalpers
I hope we'll have the same amount of luck with the bayonetta 1 preorders
@riChchestM Same for me. First payment failed. Second time around it worked!
My brother was getting super frustrated with Nintendo UK's handling of these pre-orders, we're relieved that he finally got his order in.
It's still been a really frustrating experience however.
@riChchestM If error persist, maybe try changing region trough the button at the bottom of the website. I encountered the same issue yesterday when trying to buy it trough ireland region, but after switching to german it went trough. Not sure if that's because my country doesn't have regional nintendo store or just pure coincidence.
my card isnt getting accepted now. Waiting for a buddy to come over
Still playing this game, but I only have about 80 hours on it and I'm in chapter 6. I see people with 100 hours on 4 and I feel like I've done a lot so...I'm lost. Lol
Thanks, I finally managed to order one through the Dutch Nintendo Story
it says i reached my limit...... thats it i guess
@Sentenza Does the Ireland site cover EU countries? I went with Germany as it's closest to Bulgaria and thought only they'd cover shipping to here, but if I can use a site in English, that's gonna make things easier.
Also, I want to thank you for tagging us! I was refreshing the site and had my tab on Nintendo Life ready to comment as soon as it went live...and in my crazy excitement I closed it by accident. By the time I came to comment, you'd already beaten me to it
Best of luck to all in getting one (unless you're a scalper in disguise )
It looks like they're already out of stock once more.
That was fast, not nearly as fast as the first day, and not nearly as beseiged by website errors.
But you know? Still really poor service to re-open pre-orders with no warning.
@IamReAllyFeelinF5 As in the page says you've already ordered this and can't anymore (that's what is says for me now that I've ordered) or you've reached a limit on your card?
If it's the latter - do you have Paypal? I'd be willing to help you out with the payment and you can pay me back via Paypal after that.
@RupeeClock I agree. I know I didn't get any proper sleep last night (or work done over the past two days I spent refreshing)..this isn't what customers should have to go through.
Open Pre-Orders is where it's at. For all things I despise about Limited Run, they at least got THAT right...eventually.
I made a 2nd account and try it again. Thx for the offer but I don´t really want to trouble anybody
@IamReAllyFeelinF5 Best of luck!
@Mach_Rider thank you!
I wish the best of luck to everyone still trying to get their copy of the collector edition.
@Sentenza Same here!
@Mach_Rider
I've never personally used it, but few folks from my country have said that it worked for them with regular releases. Games were shipped from France anyway
And no problem! It was kinda heartbreaking reading all your stories from yesterday and I was refreshing the page for bayonetta anyway, so I decided to check the xeno on your behalf as well. Glad I could help!
Total ***** show again. I got there whilst it was still in stock, but endless cycle of failing to add to basket. I’m kinda not enjoying my copy of Xenoblade 3 so much anymore … tainted knowing I’ll likely never get my hands on it despite having all previous collectors editions (including Wii with the red pro controller and Xenoblade Chronicles X on Wii U).
@Mach_Rider Same here from Germany to Greece!
Best of luck to everyone!
so yeah now its time to hit that F5 like a true warrior
@Wraggadam1
to be honest, finally getting it wasn't THAT great. I felt more of a relief I can FINALLY get over it after so many months rather than being happy I got one. Overall, not a great experience for anyone.
@Sentenza totally. They’ve turned what is objectively an amazing game, into a pretty shorty experience for the fans.
It’s just an object, but one of those things that would’ve been nice to have, finish off the collection.
I was lucky 😊 I ordered my copy.
Like now? for me its still out of stock
Welp. Once again I have missed the small window by a matter of minutes.
Really sick and feed up with this as there was no notification when it came back up. Spent effectively 24 hours refrshing just to miss out on thisn
I am glad that many of us actually managed to get the edition! The time frame was just big enough for it to get completely sold out and there is a good chance its final now, wich is fine because now I can sleep.
And its time to ready my printer :]
Definitely happy For everyone who got a copy. .
Just a reminder to me I’m too old for this nonsense. Boiling gaming down to a scalpers dream these days, and companies loving the hype it brings.
Deep sales, and no day one purchases in protest from now on!
Somehow after several tries I was able to place my order for XB3 SE. Glad to have it. But something weird happened... Nintendo charged me £89.99 for SMT V Premium Edition... a game I paid for last November when it released. And the website is still malfunctioning so can't contact customer service right now. What an absolute mess this whole situation is
I knew this would happen. I never got the chance to buy it on MNS but I bought one copy from Japan some time ago and today the package was delivered. Well at least something.
But shame on you Nintendo. This is supposed to be for everyone, not just few lucky people.
Argh I was in a work meeting for the last hour and a bit. Will be refreshing all day in hope now
@Sentenza thanks for the heads up! Unfortunatley I was in a business meeting so I missed it. Spark me!
I will keep my eyes out but this was the biggest chance yet, even bigger than the 1rst 10 minutes. Thank you guys for being a cool community and keeping my sanity in check with this comment section. I wish you best luck and a good weekend!
Proud of you guys!
@IamReAllyFeelinF5 out
Hey guys just wondering if someone experienced or know anything about getting the order but not being charged. Is it normal or theres a chance to be canceled for being out of stock? Thank you!
@celo92 My bank statement says I was charged 0.00 Euro, but order went through and I've got a confirmation e-mail and everything. I believe the full charge comes once they ship the item (at least that's how it was for me back when I ordered the XC2 Special Edtion years ago).
ok, my order is now marked as "shipped", although I haven't got any email and provided tracking link doesn't work.. it looks like this CE is still ona haunt me for a while :/
@Mach_Rider thanks for the help bro. Yeah, i cant see any charge on my bank but I have the order email confirmation plus the order on the website. I hope this finally works. It has been a nightmare these last 2 days.
What the actual f***. How were we supposed to know it was going back up for order? Last I heard they had removed the listing completely from the site so it wasn’t even possible to check for stock.
I can’t refresh it every minute of every day in the off chance that it’s there… This is an absolute mess.
Major congratulations to everyone who managed to secure one. It's been said time and again but anyone who's not a scalper deserves their reward a million times more after all they've been through.
For everyone who wasn't throwing their lives away pressing a button at the right time of day because Nintendo felt they didn't have to tell anything to anyone anymore, there may still be a chance they haven't put all the stock they're gonna have yet, so I guess there can still be hope they'll release more units after the dust settles on this first mess of a run.
No one can know because they just won't tell.
So because I was up until stupid o'clock last night in desperation trying to refresh the page, I missed the window of opportunity again.
Curse you Nintendo, I deeply resent you for this whole sorry affair.
If anyone has a spare please sell it to me for a reasonable price? 😫
Everyone: Write at Nintendo. They got 3 E-Mails over the last 3 Days from me, let them know they messed this one up. Let them know.
Maybe they will do something if they get a backlash.
They’ve disappointed me considerably recently.
My bank moved from VISA to Mastercard so had to update the card number for a preorder on the Bayonetta collector’s edition only to be told that they couldn’t and the order needed to be cancelled and I’d lose my order because it’s now sold out. Wouldn’t reserve me a copy, nothing. P*ss poor customer service.
To now miss out on this is just another disappointing experience.
@Hewitt Their infrastructure is atrocious like that. I remember that happening to me with Smash Bros Ultimate and the GameCube Controller and I had to wait for the order to try to come through so then I could change the payment method when it failed. Meant I didn't get it on release because of that. That might work for you, if not grab one here for £5 less lol - https://www.shopto.net/en/swba73-bayonetta-3-trinity-masquerade-edition-p1175298/
@Hewitt
I had a similar problem when I had to pre-order the Metroid Dread special edition.
They only allow you to place pre-orders using debit or credit card, no PayPal, but at that period of time my debit card would expire before the release date, but after the pre-order window.
Being unable to amend payment details on outstanding orders is embarrassing, but it's only nearly as embarrassing as their old issue of being completely unable to place orders using a debit or credit card on desktop browsers! for some unexplained reason, it was only possible to place orders on mobile devices for a time.
This is why things being exclusive to the My Nintendo Store is such a big problem, their site infrastructure and customer service is abysmal.
Don't worry everyone. The Bayonetta 1 physical switch release that's exclusive to the MyNintendo store in Europe is due in the "First half of October".....
... so today or tomorrow......
https://twitter.com/NintendoUK/status/1575802641115922433
This makes me very annoyed. And I've been annoyed ever since they somehow shipped, and 10 minutes later, «received my N64 controllers in return», more than a year ago. Nintendo should stop selling stuff on their site, and just let ordinary stores handle it.
Well, this is all kinds of frustrating. Just got back from work. Not sure how I was to be able to order one. Man. It would be wonderful to get some sort of heads up like all the limited edition shops do. This isn't how to conduct a business at all.
Now looking back... in hindsight... this is just a theory but I believe they took yesterday to run load tests on their European server. They were probably simulating the load levels they observed on Wednesday and adjusting server capacity on their cloud provider to a level that would be able to handle the demand.
Why else would the site have gone down again yesterday out of the blue if the product wasn't even there anymore? Yet for a good while it displayed the same 'overloaded' message as it had the day before.
Then today, having completed adjustments, they put it back in at around the same time they'd released it on Wednesday. Notice how smooth it went this time around.
Only problem is they neglected to notify anyone, so all that 'snuff' about registering your interest was effectively pointless in the end.
Again, that's just my theory... but makes sense in my mind.
Checking the site now, it appears that this was the last opportunity.
"Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Collector's Edition is now sold out. We apologise for the downtime that made it difficult to pre-order this product."
As displayed in a banner message at the top of the site.
Apology not accepted.
@RupeeClock everyone needs to spam them with complaints and tweets so they know this is not acceptable, allowing situations like this to arise where scummy people sell your merch for 5 times the price is just totally unacceptable.
I already knew the store was trash, but this comes directly from Nintendo's decision making and they bear full responsibility. I can see this being an issue for the upcoming Pyra&Mythra amiibo too and I am just so not ready to do all this again 🤦🏼♂️
Edit: and they've just this minute sent an email hawking the expansion pass. They've got another thing coming if they think I'll be spending any money on them today.
Absolutley taking the P**s with that statement.
Now many people will simply never get a chance of getting this AND it will most likely happen again with the next collectors edition or limited release (looking at you Bayonetta 1 Physical, which is due out today or tomorrow..........)
Anyone know how easy it is to get your money back if you order from a scalper and the product never arrives?
@Otoemetry eBay Money Back Guarantee. Make sure your purchase is covered by it. Also make sure the seller will provide tracking information before purchasing.
If it doesn't arrive and your purchase is covered you can request a full refund including shipping cost.
@Murta I just did a search on eBay and there are 65 UK buy-it-now listings ranging from £95-£400. I am apoplectic with rage.
So about this tracking info thing, what happens if they don't provide tracking?
@Otoemetry in my experience, when they don't provide tracking and it doesn't arrive in a long time (say 1 month or so), you can still get your money back through the guarantee.
You'll probably have to give it enough time after the delivery estimate before you can action it but as long as it's covered, that's all that you need. If the seller doesn't reply to your contact attempts, you can ask eBay to step in and process the refund for you.
BotNets are working over time on XC3 CE again as usual - Nintendo haven't fixed this yet.
I've given up, I'll just pay a scalper a few years down the line.
I've missed limited edition games before. I'm never bitter about it. Some I win, some I lose. What annoys me most about this fiasco is the lack of infomation about when to buy it, let alone being able to access the site. It was a mess and I felt I didn't really have a chance at grabbing one. Then springing them on sale whilst everyone is at work with no prior headsup is ridiculous.
No, this was atrocious service. Now, granted, it's the first time this has happened to me on this site. And when the limited edition had to be sold seperately, alarm bells did go off. My heart will sink next time something is announced as a MNS exclusive because this was horrid handling.
150 quid for 30 quids worth of gumpf on ebay? Hahahaha, that's the ebay way I guess.
@GrailUK I’m with you. Weirdly bitter about this one to the point I can’t actually sit and enjoy XBC3 without feeling irritated.
It’s a mix of the way it was handled, and how everything that’s been done could have been avoided - lots of people trying to celebrate a game that Nintendo seem to have not wanted us to enjoy - with so much of the talk about it pre and post launch of how the collectors edition has been handled so atrociously - repeatedly.
It’s probably a little just the completionist in me, but I’m literally at the point of just wanting to sell my whole Xenoblade collection out of annoyance that it won’t now be complete without paying a scalper. 🤬
@Wraggadam1 I share your resentment...but no way I would sell my Xenoblade collection hahhah!
@Wraggadam1 I would be happy to take Xenoblade 1 and 2 of your hands. 👍
If only securing that preorder was the last of our problems... quick question to those few folks who were able to get one: does your order is also marked as "shipped" on your account? I've just noticed it by randomly browsing trough mynintendo store, waiting for another disaster (bayonetta 1 preorders) to hapen.
It suprised me a little, because xeno was schedulded to release on october 21st and I didn't get any email with shipping confirmation. What's more, the tracking link found on my order page doesn't work (it redirects me to some logistic company called arvato-scm and throws 400 error - id not recognised). Have anyone encountered simmilar problem?
@Sentenza Yeah, same for me. I think they changes the status to shipped as a confirmation of sorts that the account placed a successful order. I contacted the MSN staff before the order appeared in my own account and they said they'd deliver it as soon as possible.
@KnightAnon
That makes me a little bit less worried, thanks. At first I've thought that maybe they had a small stock of xeno ready to ship right away (and now we have another error with broken tracking), but now I wonder if they just changed our status to prevent us from cancelling orders or smth. I feel that they're as burned out by this CE as we are and they wand to get over it ASAP too lol.
Maybe it's because I'm on the French My Nintendo Store but my order isn't marked as shipped, but as a pre-order, and it will start shipping the 21st. Also, I was charged 0€ for now, and my credit card will be debited when my collector edition will be sent.
It's the first time I'm ordering on the My Nintendo Store so I hope this doesn't mean that I didn't get the collector edition and it's juste Nintendo saying "you didn't pay, you won't get it"...
@Matl
May i introduce you to the eshit (eshop) which makes looking for a game nay impossible!! Scrolling takes years of your life away. Honestly I can't understand why they just don't sub all these digital tasks out to more competent and capable individuals. I love Nintendo quirks and all but, there are certain things that need to evolve with the times... Anything Nintendo collectors edition I've simply just given up on, not worth the disappointment that soon follows. Also you'll never stop the bots unless they have preorder windows, say for 48hrs or so then they close.
Anyone who wasn't able to preorder, please complain to Nintendo. They should know how bad they f@cked up. This is so annoying.
@Tom3 And even if you were able to pre-order, please complain to Nintendo. What happened is inexcusable and a terrible experience for both the lucky ones and the unlucky ones.
@MK73DS
It seems that orders from thursday works different than orders from wendesday (especially the early ones)... I've encountered several post from different countries (France included) where people are asking about "shipped" orders... I feel like the last several days took a toll on my expected life expectancy
@Sentenza It's amazing how much they messed up even after delaying twice the pre-orders and seeing what happened in the US...
I managed to order my copy on Friday. Nintendo has charged my credit card with the order amount, and the status of the order awaiting shippment.
@Sentenza me too, incorrect url with a trancking number not found by arvato
Update Nintendo has shipped my copy and provided the tracking information
@Inazuma_Jin did the tracking on your order work ? mine send me on an error page
I too got an e-mail from the German store that my copy's been shipped. Tracking works so far and has an estimated delivery date for October 24th.
Funnily enough, it was shipped from Poland.
Ok so the "shipped" status doesn't mean anything when you don't have the email yet, another Nintendo sh*t of quality, i guess.
@TommySmiley yes it works!
so the orders from thursday are on their way (both email arrived and the tracking works) but the ones from wendesday are not? GJ nintendo...
I've also contacted their customer service and recived this answer:
"In relation to your order XXXXX, we would like to inform you that once your order have been shipped, you will received an email with th tracking umber to follow. "
I'm not sure if I understand it correctly, but maybe someone more fluent in english would explain this to me: does it mean that order already left the warehouse and I should have recived the email already or is it the opposite (it's still awaiting shipping and when it finally leave the warehouse, I'm gonna recive an email). My previous talk with their livechat suggested I should wait for an email, but now I'm not so sure...
@Sentenza From the text you posted they mean that your order has not yet shipped. By the way, on what day did you order yours?
@Sentenza It is happening the same exact thing to me. I ordered it from Italy on Wednesday, as soon as the site went online again. I'd think we just have to wait for our collectors to be shipped.
@Inazuma_Jin @Mach_Rider
does your tracking include information who's gonna deliver the game?
@KnightAnon
right after preorder started, before site crashed and all hell was unleashed lol. That's why I'm suprised that orders placed later get shipped sooner.
@pacoxc3ce
that seems to be the case, because I'm finding more and more people with this issue and many had recived simmilar responses from the customer service. It looks like they had packed our orders and generated the label, but the games are awaiting release date. It's strange though that some of them seems to be already on their way
EDIT:
nevermind, my tracking finally started to work lol. Geez, all of this is definitely more stressful than it should be.
@Sentenza Mine says DHL, but I believe it's their regular service that is handled by local post office, not their courier service.
I suppose some orders were shipped sooner, based on their location, so that everyone who managed to order might get their packages around the same time.
@Sentenza Mine also says DHL. I did make my order from the German store on Friday on the last wave
I ordered mine during the second window in the evening on wednesday. The tracking link still doesn't work for me though. I ordered it on the dutch site.
@Mach_Rider @Inazuma_Jin
to be honest, I'm not sure what they were thinking when they organised shipping. Yours are shipped from Poland to your countries. Mine is shipped from France to Poland (and I've also used the german store). Mine is also shipped by colissimo, which probably means it will be delivered by the DPD courier service instead of regular post. It's confusing as heck, but I'm glad that things are finally moving.
@KnightAnon
it seems they're slowly updating the tracking, based on how long it's gonna take to ship it to your country. @Mach_Rider is probably right that they want to deliver (not ship) it on the same day to everyone. Mind you that it's just the tracking that is working, I'm still waiting for the oficial email that my parcel is on it's way.
@Sentenza To be honest I'm just happy I was able to secure a copy(not sure until I receive it) from MNS, so I don't have to pay 130€ + to a scalper on eBay. Because I wanted to have all 3 Xenoblade collector's editions. I really love those games! It's just sad that not every fan got copy!
Tracking just went up for my order, it's currently ready to ship. They're expecting it to be shipped and delivered on the 21st.
Edit (16min) : And i just received the shipping email. I expect other dutch buyers should also have received these at this point.
Nothing from france here -_- pfff
@TommySmiley
If they really want to deliver the game to everyone on october 21st, then I'm afraid that the French are probably the last ones that will receive their emails with tracking. You're too close to their France-based logistic center.
But if that helps, I've finally recived my email with tracking, so that means you should get one too.
Hey, im from Romania and got my copy today! Hope everyone gets their copy asap. In the end it it all turned fine
That's the end of the road for me, just receive my tracking mail, estimate delivery tomorrow <3
Same as me guys, expected for 25th October to be delivered. I think we'll meet again for Tears of the Kingdom preorders...
Just got my copy in Bulgaria as well. They attempted delivery on Friday, but I was out of the house and for some reason, Nintendo didn't put my phone number on the shipping label so the courier couldn't call me. But that way, their "estimate" of October 24th ended up being perfect!
The bottom of my box has a few dings, but I guess it's manufacturing issues, there was no damage to the shipping box, so I dare not complain. The lack of soundtrack of any kind is still a huge miss, but it's unreal to finally hold this in my hands!
CE is back in stock in Europe! Check your e-mails for access codes! Go, Go, Go!!
@Mach_Rider I rushed back here as soon as I saw it in my inbox! Hopefully this is good news for those who resisted scalpers a year ago. Although it seems access is restricted to e-mail addresses that registered their interest way back in the day, at least for the time being.
