While those in America and Canada are starting to get hold of their Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Collector's Editions, the UK and Europe will have to wait a bit longer to even pre-order them.
Pre-orders were due to open in September, however, customers have started to receive emails confirming that the Special Edition has had to be pushed back to the first half of October. (Thanks for the tip, TequilaUK!).
The Collector's Edition was delayed to September for European and UK customers, but the bundle will now not be available to pre-order for another week or two. Here's the full email from the My Nintendo Store:
"Due to unforeseen issues, we are now planning to open pre-orders for the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Collector’s Edition on My Nintendo Store in the first half of October.
As previously communicated, you will receive an email as soon as pre-orders open with a link to the product page on My Nintendo Store.
Thank you for your patience and understanding,
The My Nintendo Store team"
Earlier today, physical copies of Bayonetta were also delayed to the same period, while the My Nintendo Store in the UK was down for maintenance for around a week until it re-opened on Wednesday 28th September.
As a reminder, the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Collector's Edition comes with package artwork from Masatsugu Saito, a full-colour 250+ page hardcover art book, and a steelbook case.
We'll let you know as soon as pre-orders open in the UK and Europe!

Why do they insist of avoiding giving an exact date with these sorts of things?
Just tell us when the pre-orders open so we can prepare for it.
At this rate we'll have a good half dozen emails saying they are pushing back the preorder date every couple of weeks. Truly bizarre how this product has had so many problems even going up for preorder, for god's sake.
This is ridiculous. Again? We already got told to wait 2 months for it. And Bayonetta got delayed too. What is actually going on at Nintendo of Europe? They are a nightmare at selling products on My Nintendo Store. I still remember the pain of trying to get SMT V Premium Edition from them and the moment they said XB3 SE would be a MNS exclusive I was dreading it for these exact reasons.
My Nintendo UK Store is brilliant (Sarcasm)
We are now at the end of September. So even if they would have releases XC3 in September as planned it wouldn't haved arrived in time
I still haven’t played my copy of xenoblade 3 yet, im close to the end of the first one but that was months ago and I haven’t finished it yet, im too depressed to play my games because last december the fbi was banging on my door at 4 am and took my phone and put me in the mental hospital for 2 weeks, anyways I have a huge backlog of switch games that I haven’t touched yet, im not really interested in collectors editions though
they should give standard editions a good bonus on the side like the concept artbook would make it fair for everyone since scalpers ruins everyones chances of getting a special edition.
@RupeeClock because they know their shop infrastructure cannot take the increase in demand, which would all be solved IF THEY JUST MADE ENOUGH OF THE BLOODY THINGS!
EU denizens can't catch a break with these editions, between both Xenoblade and Bayonetta. I should know BECAUSE I AM ONE.
@RupeeClock maybe because they don’t know themselves tbh.
It might be influenced by covid, war in Ukraine, companies going bankrupt due to gas prices, who knows.
Shame tbh, but maybe not much Nintendo might be able to do about it tbh.
This is why I hope future special editions are not exclusive to the store. Glad to see the whole operation is still a s***show from when I last had any dealings with them.
At this rate, half of the expansion pass content will be available before the special edition pre-orders even go live!
Better late than never I guess..
We are truly stuck in the endless now.
And after all that fuss, there'll still be a ton of people who will miss out when the copies are bought up within minutes. What's the ‘sparkin' point?
What in the world is going on with Nintendo and their UK releases?
Unforseen issues? I think two big world events caused that to happen.
Genuinely have no clue what's going on with Nintendo UK at the minute. If your store is too shoddily made to handle the simple act of putting up an item for pre order then maybe don't make it exclusive to said store in the first place.
With Xeno 2 and DE the collector's editions were available at most retailers online, and as such were fairly easy to get ahold of but now with 3 90% of people that want one aren't even going to be able to because scalpers will scoop them up within 5 minutes.
They've even already stated in an email that was sent out that based off of the number of people that registered interest in the CE not everyone will be able to get a copy. If you know the demand is there then maybe, I don't know, manufacture more?
A second print run that's manufactured to order (i.e put up an unlimited number of preorders for a small period and then make them based off the number of orders they received) would literally solve the issue and ensure everyone has a chance.
I'm not sure what the purpose of this email was tbh. We all received an email 10 days ago about pre-orders opening very soon, and that still stands even if it is the first half of October. They didn't specify then, so there was no need to inform us about a delay that's what, all of two weeks at the most? Still, it is nice to know a time frame now so there's that.
Nintendo should really offer the DLC expansion for free if you get the Special Edition
Nintendo doubted the success of this game. XD
Can someone clearly “for what” it has been delayed?
Or did I fall for click bait! lol
Wake up Nintendo...
We're getting ours here in Australia too btw Nintendo Life 🙄
They started posting them out this week.
What happens when you accidentally switch off your website.
The maintenance hasn't gone well for them hasn't it?
Collectors Editions are so lackluster now. A tin case and a book?
Why “the UK and Europe”? Did Brexit move the UK to a different continent?
Since I completed it, I went back to 60fps on ps5 and I really wish we could explore the Xenoblade worlds with a really smooth framerate. It would definitely make the action less chaotic.
Got the link, added to cart, entered payment details, then the site crashed. Shabby shabby shabby.
Wouldn't expect anything less from the uk Nintendo store. Absolutely hopeless.
I'm sure I'll be able to get one off a scalper on eBay soon enough at least. Yay =/
Aaaand now they're going up on eBay for well north of £100.
Shameful.
