Wow that's very exciting! One step closer to having a permanent store here, and it's interesting that they chose London to be the first one in this region.

My only gripe is that it's not in the Stratford Westfield as I prefer the travel there, but I must say the Shepherd's Bush Westfield has a nicer vibe and doesn't feel as crowded.

It's almost like they did this on purpose on the release of Switch 2 edition to test if people will complain about it or not

The most I've done is EGX here in London and Birmingham (I remember meeting the NL crew years ago!) and for me it was hectic enough, which as I can see from this article, it doesn't even compare! Anyway I haven't seen much of Europe so I would definitely consider attending to hit 2 birds with 1 stone. I've been to more of the hotter side, like Cyprus where I'm from ethnically.

The most interesting one to me is MK8 Deluxe! I know it's already been commented but I want to put in my own words: Probably from those that are still yet to dip into the game with all the commercials and cannot afford a Switch 2 right now like myself (I've had the game since day 1 on Wii U and Switch, just I can't afford switch 2).

It could also be from people that are enjoying MK World so much and never had the previous game. This really highlights the success of Switch 1 with people still buying the console!

Wow that's actually hilarious! There must be a lot of drama going on at the Nintendo UK office today... Maybe I'll travel to Windsor and eavesdrop myself!

It makes me wonder if we're getting the release in the summer, which I think is a bit baffling. My guess is that it could be a few wrong clicks on whatever application they're using for the marketing.

Or it could be that not everyone gets all their games on day 1 and with a busy lifestyle, Mario Kart World along with all the backwards compatible games means there's plenty to play for now.

I don't have a Switch 2 yet because of finances so it's looking like a few months at least. I absolutely had a blast when I played this game at my friends house! Also super amazed when I tried it on handheld with all the colours popping, it really does look as good as my OLED Switch.

Also, the style and details of this review is excellent. Please Nintendo Life make more of your reviews like this, because some of them have been getting too short nowadays.

@bandyba At secondary school, all what people spoke about was COD, FIFA and GTA. I remember the big hype with PS4 when it launched midway through secondary. I was like the only one with the Wii U & 3ds and sometimes they would mock me for it saying all I do is play Mario. I'd imagine nowadays with the prevalence of the Switch, more people will be aware of Nintendo's IP's.

Woah I totally did not expect this! When I saw the notification on my phone I was thinking "Is this Splatoon 4!!?" Then brushed it off assuming an announcement to the next big run or splatfest or whatever. Anyway we know we'll get Splatoon 4 on switch 2 at some point, but this is exactly the limelight that Splatoon deserves. I am EXCITED!

I wonder how the distribution works in NOE. Let's say for UK, does it get sent to a warehouse in Germany first or does it go straight to the shops directly from China/Taiwan?

If we have a Nintendo Direct before Gamescom and we are fortunate to get some surprises of games launching this year then it will probably be playable

It makes sense, if there's a criminal investigation then they will be able to access the evidence, which hopefully will act as a deterrent. All services do this as already mentioned.

I went to Paris 10 years ago and I indeed rented the 3ds! Looking back now, I kinda wish I bought the physical. I don't see myself travelling abroad anytime soon, or at least certainly not France.

I like the Nintendo red, and even the red theme that we have here on NL but orange all the way! Nostalgia reasons from the 3ds days are part of this, but the orange is a nicer colour for the eShop IMO

Interesting, I really like Nate's style with the way he answers questions. He seems to give a little more detail than he should but really knows how to draw the line, able to do so by merely drifting the topic to his personal opinions rather than speaking from the company. I can't help but wonder why Doug Bowser does not speak at all, perhaps he is too shy.

This has gotta be a marketing stunt for sure, normally they wouldn't want you using their electricity for stuff other than a computer or phone. It'll be interesting to see whether people actually do this and start off a cool trend. Meanwhile in the UK... It's often cheaper to go London to Scotland by plane! Or even to other countries!

I wonder if there will be a grace period where NSO on Switch 2 is free for like 6 months from launch? And that if you already have a subscription, you get those months added on? Knowing Nintendo probably not, but would be a good way to encourage buying at launch.

Ahh that sucks because Snake Pass is so cool and unique that you would think they would continue to bring IP like it but that obviously won't be the case now... Unless a publisher has something they come up with and fund it. Would be cool if they worked with Nintendo.

Odd timings for this one, they could've made it late time for europe and that way America gets afternoon/evening and Japan gets the morning. Seems like for this one they wanted to prioritise Japan getting the late evening timing. However, 2pm for me so all good.

Sutte Hakkun looks like a lot of fun, very unique and weird concept with that injection thing making the platform move like that

It's so nice to see that these franchises are getting the spotlight they deserve, especially Pikmin. This shows how vast and diverse Nintendo's IP's are, along with Splatoon.

I kinda wish they made this list top 20 or just do another list for 10+ million sellers. I would like to know the latest on the likes of Splatoon 3 and Mario Wonder. Gotta check the reports for that I guess.

Having artworks etc within the game itself is really something Nintendo wouldn't do. They just want you to play the game and that's it. Perhaps more of this can be put in the interviews or more video content.

I would actually love to see Nintendo working with a book publisher to release a book that really delves deep into the history or making of the biggest releases over time.

Would absolutely love to see a Professor Layton collection! Thinking about it now, it's surprising that it hasn't happened already. Also Zelda Link Between Worlds would be great, however it feels like not long ago since playing it on 3ds and its 3d effect was great.

I think they know that the phone stuff isn't getting enough attention hence why they want to show it at the same time of a major announcement

Seems cool! But please, I hope they utilise the development time to really make this something special. I don't think anyone expected this announcement today. Or were there any sort of rumours? I haven't been keeping up to date with these things.

It's surprising but not surprising.. Surprising because Japan has so many flourishing companies but not surprising considering Nintendo's growth and the fact that they manage to do this with a relatively small number of employees is quite amazing.

None of these are near me, I need to save up money for travelling!

When looking at a listing of a game that looks interesting but want to see the gameplay, it should be available right there and not have to frustratingly search it up elsewhere.

Or maybe he's working so tirelessly on the next Zelda game that he wanted to accompany Miyamoto on his day off

Paper Mario TTYD is a game I've never played so this one is definitely what I am most excited about

When this was revealed I've been more hesitant and didn't like this theatre type theme but now the more I see the more I am interested. Will have to wait for reviews for this though.

Until now I haven't watched this trailer again. Even more excited!

Mechanics look fun but I'm not a fan of this presentation theatre type style. Would have been better to have an actual fully-fledged world.

Epic!! I had a feeling they will start the Direct with this DLC. Now I will be buying it. It's totally not what we expected and is a fresh take on Splatoon

Not exactly what we wanted but in a way it does point to another F-ZERO game on Switch 2. Surely this will cause more limelight on F-ZERO to put it in Ninty's attention.

Amazing! I have never played this and heard nothing but good so I am definitely in for a treat! I have played Super Paper Mario which I really enjoyed... along with the less liked ones: Sticker Star and Colour splash.

I have played this a little bit a very long time ago but I never owned it. Seeing Mario walk like that made me think it was a new game! Now that we're getting tons of remakes... it at least gives me a chance to play what I missed from the pass and more time for switch games on my backlog!

Of course it has to be LUIGI! We need another year of Luigi too! 💚
