Re: Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition Lands On 11th May

123akis

So I've been playing the Xbox One version of minecraft a lot recently... and from watching footage of the switch version, I can already tell that the switch version is watered down. The worlds don't look as big, when I play the Xbox One version, I can see a lot in the distance and the mountains can get massive. I hope I am wrong, and they opted to make smaller terrains in that gameplay. But still, other than that, the graphics look more blurry.

If the switch version is same as Wii U version, I will be very disappointed... the map size in the Wii U version is only one map size! Too tiny.

Re: The Mario Kart 8 Deluxe File Size Speeds Into View

@Destron That's not what I meant. Let me explain:
Nintendo keeps their eShop prices at full RRP. However, retailers will sell download codes (download cards) at the same price as the physical version. For them to do this, Nintendo has to sell the codes to the retailer at the same price as they sell the physical version as... You get what I mean? For example, Amazon UK is selling zelda breath of the wild (switch) for £47.99 right now. Therefore, Amazon should also be able to sell download codes for £47.99. However, Nintendo's eShop price will still be £59.99 as this is the RRP.

Re: Nintendo Direct Confirmed For 12th April - Focused on Splatoon 2, ARMS and More

123akis

I love Splatoon! I'm really looking forward to hearing more about Splatoon 2! I really do hope they bring back splat zones, as this is my favourite mode in ranked mode. ARMS looks interesting too. I think they will definitely reveal a release date for ARMS and maybe for Splatoon 2 as well.

And here is my realistic predictions for other news:
1) Pikmin sidescroller
2) Ever Oasis
3) Information about an upcoming system update for switch. (Local to local game updates, cloud saves etc).
4) In the end of the presentation, Nintendo will surprise us with a trailer for an unseen switch game. It won't show much gameplay but it will hype us up and then they will reveal more at E3

Re: SwitchCharge Smashes Its Funding Goal

123akis

About the issue of charging the switch whilst it's in tabletop mode... why can't someone design a cable with a completely flat wire instead of round? Like the cable for the Oneplus X: https://goo.gl/images/8O7ZMd

Edit: Upon looking at images of the Switch, I realised that's not possible. Forgive me, I don't have a switch yet

Re: The Mario Kart 8 Deluxe File Size Speeds Into View

123akis

The thing that puts me off to go completely digital... it is overpriced compared to physical!! I don't understand why Nintendo can't just sell download codes to retailers at the same price they sell their physical games for. That way, retailers aren't being left out with digital. Anyway, I prefer physical.

Re: Square Enix is Considering More Nintendo Switch Releases

123akis

Even if Switch is not getting the same third party you see on XB1 and PS4, I think it will do fine as long as it gets decent third party support. If you want the big multiplatform third party games, then you can't only play on Nintendo systems! I am a big Nintendo fan but I have Xbox One as well!

Re: Site News: Switch It Up With Our Readership Survey

123akis

@antdickens I'm about to take the survey, but there's a big mistake in one of the questions!! I am 18 years old, but when I try and select my age in the drop down menu, there's "under 18" and the next option is "19" then "20" and so on. Why is there no option for 18?

Re: Be Quick And Pick Up A NES Classic Mini Or Nintendo Switch At Best Buy Today

123akis

I was lucky enough to get a nes classic mini a month ago. I walked into game to buy an Xbox One game and then I was surprised to see a brand new nes mini behind the counter and I instantly bought it! They only got 2 in stock at that time, one of the employees got one for himself and the other one is the one I got. It was in plain sight for a few hours before I got there as well so I'm quite lucky that I got it!

Re: Site News: Switch It Up With Our Readership Survey

123akis

I visit Nintendolife several times a day! And sometimes if I'm behind on reading articles, I can spend at least an hour catching up! My favourite Nintendo site and you guys do a great job So of course I'll take the survey sometime this week. When does the survey close?

Re: Video: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Overview Trailer Shows Off Shine Thief and Lots of Footage

123akis

One thing that I found annoying with the online on MK8 on Wii U, is that the lobbies were separated because of the DLC and not everyone got the DLC. So, if I wanted to play on the lobby with all 48 races that could potentially be picked, those lobbies were often a bit barren compared to the others. But with MK8 deluxe, this won't be an issue.

Not only that, but from that trailer, Nintendo did a lot of good improvements! And on the Switch I can play anytime, anywhere with anyone

Re: Nintendo UK Will Be Making A Splash At Insomnia60 In April

123akis

@Stubi Woah! I live in London, and return train tickets from London Euston to Birmingham International is actually quite cheap! I think it costed £24 last year (that's for 2 people). And it only takes 1 hour & 13 mins to get there! But for me to get to London Euston, that takes about 20 - 30 mins with London buses and underground.

EDIT: Oh yh, bearing in mind, I got 25% off using this link: https://www.virgintrains.co.uk/nec

Re: Nintendo UK Will Be Making A Splash At Insomnia60 In April

123akis

I just booked tickets to this year's EGX 2017, I really do hope Nintendo comes to EGX this year, because last year they missed it! (Probably because they didn't have much to show).

Insomnia60 sounds cool, but I'll give it a miss, I tried the switch and all those games at the London play event 2 weeks ago anyway.

Re: Review: 1-2-Switch (Switch)

123akis

I'll get this game at some point, because I know I'll play it with my friend! I go to his house often and he comes to mine often, and I know we will have a lot of fun with this! We played it at the London switch play event last week, and we both thought it was a lot of fun! Not only that, but I think this will also be a lot of fun to play with family, I think it's the perfect party game!

Re: Poll: Merry Switchmas - Has the Nintendo Switch Launch Got You In a Festive Spirit?

123akis

I haven't got a switch yet, but I do plan on getting it either in August, or sometime around November. There's a few reasons why I'm not getting it now: I have sooo much coursework; I have many games to play at the moment... and I mean a lot!! From my Wii U, Xbox One and 3ds; and there's personal reasons, something in my life that I'm prioritising. lol in the meantime... I refuse to get Zelda BotW on Wii U, I want it on switch only

Re: Nintendo of America's Store Opens Orders on Individual Nintendo Switch Docks

123akis

So in pounds, that's roughly £48. That is a little expensive but at the same time it's also not bad if you really wanted it. I won't be getting a second dock, because I don't need it. My bedroom is tiny, I play games on my own 43 inch tv downstairs, not in the main room, but in the dining room. If I wanted to play upstairs, I would just undock my switch and play in portable mode... that's what the switch is for!

Re: Site News: Nintendo Life is Red, Nintendo Life was Blue

123akis

I'm using mobile and when I look at the home page, I don't like that the box containing the number of comments on an article is so big that it kinda ruins the thumbnail. And please bring back the tagines to show on every article!! I noticed that when I change my phone orientation, I see every one, but I use my phone portrait almost all the time on my internet browser!
