Meanwhile I'll be on a plane to Taiwan so I miss out on both the fun of Windows 10 day and Miiverse overhaul day. Too bad, I was looking forward to both.
I probably jinxed it. I never watch these things but the one that I actually carve time out to watch is a dud. Sorry folks!
I'm excited for Star Fox, SMTxFE, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Yoshi's Woolly World and Mario Tennis. So that's not too bad for games to be excited about, but disappointing in terms of looking forward to actual surprising reveals. And my wife is really bummed about no Animal Crossing U.
My wife was pretty disappointed as she was really hoping for a real Animal Crossing U announcement. Considering how disappointing the past couple Mario Party games have been we're not thrilled by this at all.
This could tempt me into a New 3DS. It is by far my most played game on the Wii U and I can see definite portable possibilities for it as well. Too bad it probably won't be released before my flight to Taiwan.
I'm pretty excited about this! I've been waiting for a Wii U Harvest Moon for quite some time. I'm bad about finishing them but still love starting a new one.
Here's to hoping for a Harvest Moon Wii U announcement! Rune Factory would be a fantastic bonus but I completely do not expect that. I loved ToD on the Wii! Still need to get my character married off there.
Darn, I had been looking forward to this one on the Wii U. I'm definitely worried that developers are giving too much hype to the NX platform with too little idea of what it is actually going to be.
@russellohh Not explicitly, but in the very first line "PoPoLoCrois: Harvest Moon is a mash-up of two famous Japanese RPGs ..." it definitely creates the impression of Harvest Moon being a Japanese RPG as well.
It definitely sucks for the rest of the world but as far as the US itself I don't really see an issue with 8 locations. They're spread across the US so that doesn't seem too unreasonable to me. It could just be that I'm used to Quake 1/2/3 tournaments back in the day where you had to trek to the other side of the country to get to them, or with a handful of qualifiers scattered around that required only half-way across the country.
I did not enjoy the motion controls but the sensitivity was too high on the right stick so it really turned the game into a chore of fighting with the controls to get anything done. I definitely miss the keyboard and mouse days of the PC.
I gave it one try last night on the new course and I was flying into walls and off the track a whole lot. I can definitely see braking becoming a newly required skill here.
I'm going to be wary of this one. I loved the Mario Party series but absolutely loathed number 9 due to the system of tossing everyone into a single vehicle. It really killed a lot of the fun for me and my wife. We preferred the ability to plan out your own moves around the board from the previous games. I'll probably give this one a shot at some point but will keep my receipt close for a potential return.
I'd be scared to see how many hours I've sunk into Hyrule Warriors and still just barely getting into the 2nd DLC. Please no Mario Warriors, it totally doesn't fit but I would love more DLC for Hyrule Warriors. Mixing it up a bit with Metroid Warriors could be interesting though. Or if we branch beyond Nintendo IP then Shin Megami Tensei warriors would be very interesting.
Definitely not interested in The Last Story. I was extremely disappointed in the way it dashed my hopes for it on the Wii. Eternal Darkness is my pick here as I've not played it. Definitely more interested in new games than ports of console games. If we have to venture into the remake category then I think it would be more interesting to reach back to some N64 games and give them an update. Ogre Battle 64 for instance I would love to have available on the go or the Castlevania games.
Sounds like fun though no rush here as I'm still only half way through the master quest map. Definitely looking forward to having the load times patched as that has been annoying me.
@Vineleaf Makes sense that she isn't in the first one as that is the original playable characters. You'll note that Wizzro and Volga are missing as well.
Had a good bit of fun with this DLC. Loving the Ilia outfit, they did a great job with that. Twili Midna is fun to play but I can't see her ousting my main characters.
I'm pretty excited for this one, though recently I've been using real pen & paper. I should get my Wacom out again at some point. Though nothing beats real oils.
It will be all Bayonetta for me! Though we just picked up Fortune Street as well so my wife and I are having a blast with that one. There's a ghost ship so that counts, right?
Sounds potentially hectic and fun, though I can't say that the art style draws me. I currently have issues getting enough people interested to get 3 players in a game. Definitely no way I can do 9.
