I got SteamWorld Heist Tuesday when it was still on sale for $5.99 so I’m good at the moment. I will add Thief Simulator to my wish list in case if it ever goes on sale in the future.
Although now that I think about it, it wouldn't be the first time they had 2 direct in June. Last 2 I can remember (kind of) was the Smash 4 direct and the Pokemon direct 2 years ago.
Caught me off guard since I was expecting news/directs like this to come next month closer/at E3. Happy news for me since it's my day off tomorrow so I can catch it as it air.
If they can have discord running the same time as the game you're playing, I can see the use since the main issue is in-game voice chat on the console itself. If that can't happen then the smart device discord app will still be the better option since you can play and chat (voice & text) at the same time.
If this will replace going to a store rep and asking for a card with the serial code, I'm all for it.
I already past experience with different Target and Best Buy where they didn't know about the event, had no more codes to give, and/or questionably stingy about giving it away. Gamestop was the only one that that is nice and knowledgeable overall with this.
I would also accept internet distributions but I guess they want to encourage people to go to physical retail stores in an age of E-commerce.
I wouldn't mind one way or the other; felt more strongly for it in the Wii era though. Not sure if it's because I'm currently content with in-game rewards & achievements or now I have less time and mental energy to do them all.
Besides knowing nintendo if they did do this, it likely wouldn't be like the other platforms which can be good or bad.
I been saving my Summon Vouchers and Wyrmites for a moment like this. Well tbh a moment where there is a limited Summon Showcase like the Seasonal ones or one that is cool and useful for my party.
Also eager to play Defensive Battles, especially since there was no events for awhile.
I’m ok with this. I do love musou games (I assume), even though FE Warrior is the only one on my switch so far. I'll be keeping my eyes on this.
I’m pretty neutral on the port situation since I had no expectation of the release even when Joker was announced and I had no prior interest in the series. It would be cool if it happens one day but I know my hype and interest wouldn’t be passionate as some fans here. Doesn't help that my interest in turn-based RPG have been on the decline as of late.
Nice. I thought Hare would get the popular vote due to easter and how cute and cuddly they are, ink me surprised. Guess that explains why I didn't get a single mirror battle in my 40 match-ups.
That is so random, I am still trying to figure out why a real crab out of all things. I know that I don’t follow competitive gaming or the lives of the players so I don’t get the reference/meme (if any), but I am more invested on the story of the crab than I’m willing to admit.
Marshmallows or balloons (w/ air) would make more sense.
This was a Birthday (4/17) surprise that caught me off guard, better than those "just for you" selected game discounts.
I only updated it this morning since I was too tired to check & play, so I miss the great server crash of pack 1. Good thing too, it would keep me up just out of stubbornness.
When it comes to the internet with this stuff, it’s not a matter of when it will happen, but how fast and how much.
I did happen to come across a stage where you play on a woman’s large boobs (non-nude afaik). Part of me was like “it hasn’t even been 10 hours yet”. The other part was like tempted to download just to see how it plays, probably gone now.
The one day bullet hell shooter mini-game Notte's Slumber Shot was the best one (Dragalia Lost) even if it was not listed. A different change of pace from the usual genre & game play.
Less of a trick, more of a treat but I'll take this type of fun versus a prank.
Read title and first 2 paragraph: Man that is messed up I hope they compensate them on the missing Joy-Cons and other equipment.
Read Subtitle and last paragraph: That is efficient since they likely have extra set (Joy-Con or Pro) at home and don’t want to delay it longer than need be.
It is not news but a fun random that would bait some people. I am no exception
That is cool; I haven’t played Yu-Gi-Oh in over 12 years or whenever Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's was current. I remember playing on the DS and Wii.
I always wanted to get back into it but felt overwhelm/discouraged when I learned about new cards and improvements like Xyz Summon and Pendulum Summon.
With modern technology the way it is now, a sequel would be awesome. One example, back then (early 00s) I had to go to Blockbuster to use their kiosk to pay and print stickers of my Pokemon pics. Now you can post on social media and save digitally.
I’m still shocked on the appreciation Snap is getting now. I still remember some of the hate it got when it first came out, especially when it was the 1st console Pokémon game (even though it was successful and praised by critics). There are no Pokémon battles, you don’t have direct control (pre-set path), not all the Pokémon are in it, etc. It’s almost similar to Let’s Go series and the Core series with the fan base divide.
Prior to the 1st trailer I was in the DeVito camp, but that's mainly because I played the 3DS game so I had the voice pre-set in my head. After hearing Reynolds voice with Pikachu's action, it grew on me fast. Both give D. Pikachu that pumpkin spice latte I like. The writing also play a role.
Well I had fun being on the knight side. I know if I was on the wizard side I would have more mirror matches which would upset me as I feel like I'm not contributing. Although I would have loved to say that I'm the wizard King #BlackClover.
Fun thing is I wear my witch outfit anyways, I like to imagine the confusion that arose
I haven't got the chance to play StarTropics as yet but I'm pretty sure if I came across this bridge I would have Google the answer in this modern age. Heck NL told me the issue and answer before I even play the game so that saying something.
Good for him. I know my 60 year old mom can't complete with him, she's too picky when it comes to the Pokemon she catch, also can only handle one phone, should of lead with that.
On one hand I completed the game on the Wii U and had fun playing it on the Gamepad; but on the other hand I do want to play together with my girlfriend and the dlc.
I've been looking at videos to fix the joy con drift for the past few months. Already spent $80 ($30 plus $10 shipping) to send in my joy cons for repair 3 different times and I wasn't going for #4.
In the end I just bought a pair of yellow joy cons on sale at Target with a 2-year extended warranty to be safe (still less than $80) and now still working up the courage to go nuclear option 3 with the blue ones.
That brings back memories. I was only able to watch a few episodes as a kid only by chance because of the bizarre scheduling (remembering the one time it showed 5:30 in the morning).
It was so hard watching cartoons and animes back then. If you didn't know when the show was going to be on (which can change next week) or have a VCR to record, you missed out. No internet streaming or on-demand to help out.
I like Mejia's insight on the Labo VR and VRs in general (helps that he experienced with this type of field). I do see this as a nice entry into VR gaming and possibly engineering for the young gens.
I'm not expecting much in the graphic department, I'm more interested on the types of games it will have, how well it uses the attachments, but mostly Toy-Con Garage.
I never got a chance to play either of those two games so this may be one of the few times I'm actually looking forward to playing a NES game.
I learned decades ago (well 20+ years) not to pay attention what Japan gets and what the rest don't, otherwise you'll be stressing yourself out over nothing.
One of the things I like about the Nintendo mobile games (and certain other non Nintendo games) is that it's not a necessity to spend real money for in-game currency and being pretty generous on giving/earning free ones; AC: Pocket Camp is up for questions on that part with the leaf ticket demands and all.
I like the way they handled it in Dragalia Lost where you can play and progress without the need to spend money and giving out Wyrmite, Summon Vouchers, and other items left and right. Then again it's not a PvP game, so you don't have to race to be the best at any cost.
I remembered wanting to play this game when it was first announced, but lost interest/forget after waiting a year to come out. I been meaning to download and play but other games keep getting in the way.
So long story short, never played it but from what I hear(read) I didn't miss out on anything.
I got back into playing regularly a month and a half ago (other games eat up my time). I am impressed with all the QoL improvements they made, with my favorite being Pete’s Parcel Service.
Digging the new tunes, downloading the update now so I can play it on my train ride from work. I still play from time to time when I’m in a rhythm mood along with my other rhythm games.
I really admire Rayark Inc., not just for still supporting a game that came out 2 years ago but also releasing contents like this for free. Not very common in today’s world of paid dlc and MicroTs
I quite enjoyed my Wii U of the game but I was always skeptical about double dipping for the Switch version for the few new stages. Now that it have 2-player co-op I feel more tempted to buy it since now I can share the experience with my player 2, which also adds to the gameplay.
I had to smile when I saw that news since I got my copy of the starter pack last week at best buy when it was on sale for $19.99 (arrived yesterday) and this happens. Hopefully this weekend I'll have time to play,
Waffle for the win. Times like this I have to remind myself to get a waffle iron (maybe that Pokeball one) instead of frozen waffles.
The last match of the night was a real nail-biter for me. Win and become The Waffle King, lose and stay as the waffle Champion with 996 points. 24 S.S Snails for me
You want to know the real kicker, check off "sold items" on the listings. I'm not sure which is stranger; charging over $9 for it, being brought yesterday, or one of them charging for shipping.
I would not mind wearing that to work (would love it). Some of the designs are subtle enough that most people wouldn't know they're Pokemons unless they observe it close and have some knowledge of the franchise.
Side note: watching that kid use a Charmander to fight an Onix bring back memories. I know way better now, but Pewter City was my second reality type check back then, first being Cerulean City's gym.
Glad I put some of my eggs in the incubator days before to take advantage (still unhatched). My only regret is hoarding them and not using it on all 9 instead of 4.
It's almost like they know my collection since I have one extra pair of joy-cons, a pro controller and a Pokeball plus. I got 8 physical games but only 3-4 I would go back and play now and then.
Seeing as I can still find 4 major online retailers selling both as well as 2 stores I walked into 3 days ago, I can't fuss about limited stock. If anything I wonder if this is a tactic to create hype to sell the stock they still have, people love rare things.
Nice read, especially with the table. So many variables to think about and digital sales number being only known to Nintendo (who rarely release them) makes it that much harder.
In case there's still doubt if Nintendo and TPC count this as a main line game they have it listed with all the other past main line game on the official Japanese page.
@Yorumi that is also true. Oddly enough there are even people that complain about those with commute cost, store employees, and human interaction lol. But yep different cause, different perspectives, the spice of life. 40 or $50 peripheral with a bonus Pokemon or 40 or $50 Pokemon with free peripheral
It is funny because I just imagine myself shaking a cane saying people these days have it good. Back in my days (early 00s) only gamers in Japan got rare Pokemons like Celebi & in-game events and having your game erased was as easy as having your friend start a new game and save over your file.
@Yorumi I was referring to download code like the Legendary ones that are being given out at select stores for a limited time in NA, not downloadable content (dlc).
Now that I type them both out, they both could share the same abbreviation. Guess I should of mention mystery gift.
Allege shady practices aside at the moment, didn't this person think that it will work like a download code or the very least go online to find out beforehand (like Hobbitgamer linked)? That is a pretty risky jump to take for getting better stats on a Mystic Pokemon from a $40 or $50 device.
@Crono1973 I have not say customers are in the wrong, especially if they leave a negative review. I have not say that marketers are saints or anything close.
I think you're under the impression that I'm defending the brand, company, marketers, or something, when really I don't trust them because they have an agenda and don't care about my personal interest or situation. This is why we go to other websites and people not affiliated with them. A review, positive or negative from a person that played the game and can give an analyzed report on it.
