Assassin's Creed III Remastered (Ubisoft, Tue 21st May) Assassin’s Creed III is on Nintendo Switch for the first time and, based on players’ feedback, gameplay mechanics have been improved, with several features being revamped. The year is 1775. The American colonies are about to revolt. You are Connor, an assassin who has sworn to secure liberty for his people and his nation. To do so, you will hunt your enemies across a staggeringly large, open, and realistic world.

Atelier Lulua: The Scion of Arland (KOEI TECMO AMERICA, Tue 21st May, $59.99) Once again, the hands of the clock have begun to move... And the future of "this world" rests on the shoulders of a single girl. The long awaited 4th instalment of the popular "Arland" series that had begun with the "Atelier Rorona"! In this new story, players will revisit the nostalgic world of Arland and embark on exciting journey of alchemy together with Rorona's daughter, Lulua.

Resident Evil 4 (Capcom, Tue 21st May, $29.99) Ushering in a new phase in the Resident Evil franchise, this game focuses on the events following the dissolution of Umbrella Corporation. The pioneering over-the-shoulder camera perspective is a departure from the fixed-camera views found in earlier entries, allowing for unrivalled action gameplay which has been met with widespread critical acclaim.

Resident Evil (Capcom, Tue 21st May, $29.99) Hailed by many as a masterpiece, this remake of the first entry in the long-running Resident Evil series is now playable in HD. Experience true terror in this genre-launching survival horror classic. The year is 1998. The Bravo Team of S. T. A. R. S. , an elite special forces squad, has gone radio silent, and its Alpha Team has been dispatched to the forest on the outskirts of Raccoon City to investigate this mysterious disappearance.

Resident Evil Zero (Capcom, Tue 21st May, $29.99) This entry in the Resident Evil series expands on and enriches the excitement and intrigue of the survival horror genre. Learn of the events that preceded the series' first game, and experience thrilling new gameplay systems as you alternate between its two playable characters to solve the mystery. In 1998, the American town of Raccoon City has been host to a series of strange and grisly murders.

39 Days to Mars (Its Anecdotal, Today, $14.99) 39 Days to Mars is a co-operative (and single-player) steampunk puzzle-adventure game. Step into the shoes of Sir Albert Wickes and The Right Honourable Clarence Baxter, two 19th century explorers who have chosen to pilot the HMS Fearful on its maiden voyage to Mars. When the steam engine runs out of coal, the ship's cat shreds the navigation chart, and the tea gets cold, it becomes clear that interstellar transportation isn't a walk in the park.

Akane (QubicGames, Fri 17th May, $4.99) Akane is a brutal arena arcade slasher based on one-hit-one-kill gameplay mechanics. Read our Akane review.

Arcade Archives Ninja Gaiden (HAMSTER, Thu 9th May, $7.99) NINJA GAIDEN is an action game released by Tecmo Co., Ltd. in 1989. Play as a ninja using the Five Ninja Fighting Arts passed on from the chaotic times of feudal Japan, as you take out an assassin organization through the horrifying stage “Jungle,” an American city. Perform a Phoenix Backflip off of obstacles or walls to land behind enemies and then defeat them with a Triple Blow Combination or Flying Neck Throw!

Blades of Time (GaijinDistribution, Tue 14th May, $19.99) Ayumi, the gorgeous gun and sword-wielding treasure hunter, sets out on a journey to an ancient island in search of new adventures. While rich in bounty, the island is also filled with the magic of Chaos, being at the same time home to bloodthirsty monsters.

Chicken Rider (Ultimate Games, Fri 17th May, $3.99) Chicken Rider is an endless runner game in which the player takes control of the young polar bear. The little bear is fighting for animal freedom. But during the attempt of chicken liberation, not everything is working according to the plan.

Darkwood (Crunching Koalas, Today, $14.99) Darkwood is a challenging survival horror that does not rely on jump scares. Craft weapons, prepare traps, fortify hideouts - you will explore and scavenge the eerie forests of the Soviet Bloc by day, then hunker down in your hideout at night. With nightmarish forces corrupting the woods, wait and pray for the sun to come up the next morning.

Devious Dungeon 2 (Ratalaika Games, Fri 17th May, $7.99) It is said that great adventures await behind the walls of this dark castle, Devious Dungeon 2 is a medieval focused action platformer title. The castles ever-shifting halls are filled with deadly monsters! Treacherous traps have claimed the lives of many adventurers!

Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R (Arc System Works, Today, $14.99) The epitome of the 2D Fighting Game "GUILTY GEAR XX" series, the definitive piece: "GUILTY GEAR XX ACCENT CORE PLUS R" is now on Nintendo Switch! Fortnite – Season 9 – The future is yours in Season 9! In this new Fortnite season, the volcano has erupted and forever changed some long-lasting locations. Grab the squad to explore the bright lights of new attractions like Peely’s Banana Stand and Nugget Hut. Catch a ride and quickly traverse areas by flying in and out of the new Slipstream wind transportation system. Use the new Air Vents to quickly navigate from building to building. You can even take a glide over to the new Mega Mall to do some shopping before the storm hits. A new season also means a new Battle Pass. More than 100 new exclusive rewards are ready for you to unlock, and it still costs the same 950 V-bucks. This season, you’ll get the Sentinel Outfit and Rox progressive Outfit instantly when you purchase the Battle Pass.

Donkey Kong Jr. – Based on the popular arcade game, Donkey Kong Jr. is the sequel to the immensely successful Donkey Kong game. Play as Donkey Kong’s son, and rescue your dad who has been kidnapped and imprisoned in a cage by Mario. Use jumping and climbing abilities to clamber up vines and chains, gather vital fruit and keys, and open the cage to free your father. Make sure you avoid the pesky birds, nasty electric sparks and creepy chompers. Four different worlds filled with numerous climbing and jumping puzzles await you in this timeless classic.

VS. Excitebike – Fans love the Excitebike game for its frenetic races, high stakes and sweet jumps. With this game, you can take it to the next level with the Famicom disk version of VS. Excitebike – complete with two-player split screen. Create tracks from 20 classic Excitebike track parts, and go for a best time or take on friends. Racing is even more exciting when the rivalries are real. You can also try out the single-player mode in VS. Excitebike. It adds tracks, music and the ability to save your high score.

Clu Clu Land – The greedy Sea Urchins have stolen all of Clu Clu Land’s gold bars and buried them in a series of mazes. As Bubbles, a brave bubble fish, you’ll set out to uncover all of the gold bars in each maze. With 20 stages to complete and increasingly complex conditions (like having to pass over the gold bars twice to uncover them), you might just want to bring along a friend for help.
