Re: The World Ends With You: Final Remix Won't Support The Switch Pro Controller

I always imagine that touch controls would be the superior option for this game. Although I am interested in trying it with the Joy-Cons just to see how well it plays. I'm just thinking one controls Neku (touch/motion) and the next controls his partners (buttons).

Guess it would be easier to play with individual controls in each hand compared to one altogether which would make multitasking controls harder, not unplayable as far as I imagine.

This is actually much cooler then I expected it to be. Even the custom control option opens up even more possibility if you want to play in a much different/crazy way (that exercise ball boxing/glove combo is inspiring). I can imagine you can even customize it to use with toy-con 01 and 02 kit.

This is the first Labo kit I feel an urge to buy and not wait for a better sale or price drop like I was with the first 2, months or years later.

Re: Random: Relax You Guys, Luigi's Not Dead - He's Just 'Resting His Eyes'

ultraraichu

Well I feel like the weird one. My first (maybe second) thought wasn't that he got x_x but that he can now fight ghost on a even plane like Ichigo in Bleach.

That would make for an interest game gimmick. They can be sneaky on Luigi becoming a ghost like they did to Zelda in LoZ: Spirit Tracks. Not dead, just seperated from the body due to dark magic.

Re: Rumour: Free-To-Play Switch Games Won't Be Impacted By Paid Online Service

ultraraichu

I would have thought that free to play online multiplayer games like Fortnite and Paladins would need a subscription and games like Dawn of the Breakers and GALAK-Z: Variant S (also Hulu to a different point) gets a free pass since its single player games checking in online for the moment at certain parts. I wonder if the exception to the rule is that the games have to be on its own server and not Nintendo Network to work.

Well guess we'll know next month.

Re: Nintendo Download: 2nd August (North America)

Good week all around. I downloaded Dawn of the Breaker a few days ago, pre-purchased Overcooked 2, and pre ordered WarioWare Gold at Best Buy since it's one of the few games I'm willing to share around so my friends can try to beat my score.

Re: Paladins Is Now Available As A Free Download On Switch

ultraraichu

Well that explains a lot. Normally when I play, I'm usually the only or sometimes 2nd to only switch player in a team. So far today I had at least 2 other switch players per game (even a full switch team). Guess everybody was waiting for it to be free to play. In which case welcome, the more the merrier.

Re: Nindies Respond To Nintendo Releasing High Volume Of Games On Switch eShop

ultraraichu

If I had to choose between Nintendo being more open to developers vs being more restricted, I vote the former. There will be more games I (to each their own) think is crap, but there will also be more games that are good. Thank Arceus I can weed them out by using a smart device or pc to go on the internet and research.

At least we don't have to hear that X developer won't release Y game(s) on a Nintendo system because of their restriction process anymore.

Re: US Research Analyst Believes Gaming Could Become 100% Digital By 2022

I don’t see it being likely to that number in four years, maybe 85-90%. Now that I think about it, if PC and Mobile games are included in that analyst, it would be likely near that amount due to quantity and ease of the games being released.

With the advancement of online streaming, affordable large storage space and other tech., I see it becoming more possible compared to 4 years ago.

Re: Splatoon 2 Producer Discusses The Potential Impact Of Paid Nintendo Switch Online Service

ultraraichu

I think it will happen impact but not as drastic as some will think. I imagine the $20 will mostly turn off people who game online too little to justify the price and people who don't care for it to begin with. Also with the way those same people currently game, they likely won't be online that long for other to even match make with them, in a probability sense compared to somebody who play online games a lot.

Also it will give parents more control over what they kids do online since they will need to pay for the service. If they don't approve of the kids being online, they can't play online, unless you have to type that are smart or disrespectful enough to go behind their parent's back and do it anyways.

Re: Review: Paladins - Founder's Pack (Switch eShop)

Pretty much loving it. it really scratch that team shooter itch I had. It did take me some time to adjust since I was so used to playing OverWatch on PC with motion control aiming and almost every motion shooter on a Nintendo system. I wonder if they did it this way to even the playing field against Xbox owners. "Bright side" is I now know that my right joycon analog stick is messed up.

It feels like I am playing a closed beta though since I usually getting disconnected from the server and experience weird glitches even with wired connection. Hope they iron it out before the free version comes out.

Also the loading time is killer long but I don't know if it's a switch thing or overall console thing.
