This seems very possible. Even people making dumb outrageous request for powerful legendaries can ruin this. I been breeding some good pokemons to trade especially for this event.
I maybe the only person here to actually use the FCs (or cares). That 4,000 FC can take me far.
I'm good with the delay. Pokemon Duel being released last week, Fire Emblem Heroes release in 2 days, Mario Run (android) a month later with the Nintendo Switch. I'm not used to this type of pace, especially with backlogs.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot about that. I do like the Warrior series and Hyrule Warriors have spoiled me from all the others in the series (mainly the weapon management). Excited to see what tomorrow will bring.
Good on them. Even if Nintendo gets a fraction of that, it is still a very large fraction. I wonder how much they also sold/made from the Go+.
I know this must have been good for third parties as well for their business, like the ones selling power banks, sponsors, and phone companies with data network, travel supplies, etc.
@greengecko007 With a Scrappy Pangoro, I'm able to use False Swipe, a normal type move on ghosts types to get them on 1hp to catch or call in reinforcements.
Also I have Thief, which is a dark move.
Kinda reminds me of the Wii U launch event. They also had limited quantity of pre-orders and people feared the stock issues after the Wii was first released. Short version, it was well stocked.
Yet I'll be the dingus who will still try to pre-order the system and wait on a long line the night before the release to buy it (with said pre-order), like I did for the other 2 (Wii was morning of).
I pretty much like sos battles, even if I was troublesome in the beginning. I guess it's because I have the pokemons to control the flow of battle and the perks have become more useful to me now.
My favorite/handy Pokemon to use for sos battles is
Pangoro with HA-Scrappy (to hit ghost types) Thief (item gathering) False Swipe (obvious reason) Entrainment (Hidden Ability search) Hammer Arm (just because)
I also use a Static Electabuzz with Thunder Wave for the status change and Thief for a second item gatherer.
@DragonEleven Pretty much was thinking that too. Would ace the PokePelago if they have (one of my favorite add-ons).
If it was the first mission, I would put in a lot more effort. During the event I completed most of the Alola Pokedex (now all) and caught the island scan Pokemon I wanted. My heart wasn't in it as much as it should.
At least it went way better than the first one with around 66% complete compared to 16% of the last one. Kind of weird with the limitations set on the mission and the meh interest for island scan compared to the natural catching that many do.
Nice of the creators to point out those factors in the findings. Nowadays Certain groups and individuals would leave details out to boost their findings/views.
Well from my personal experience it got me a lot more active in going outside, walking, and exploring than I ever did prior to its release, the stories I can tell. I'm still walking a longer route to go to work in this 29 degree weather (thank you Go Plus).
Seeing as these games came out since 2013 & 2014 and both was on sale in the eshop for $20 (1) and $25 (2) recently, I had more than enough time and opportunity to get them before the unexpected happen.
Pretty much if you haven't got it then, you weren't really interested.
I'm not going to pre-register, but I will keep my eyes open for when it's released. Not like they'll run out of digital copies or something.
I enjoy playing it on my old iPhone 5, but I'll enjoy it even more on my S7 edge since that's my main phone. It's also what hold me back from paying for the full version.
Just the Mario Run. I'll play it on my old, 2 hour play life iPhone 5 (if compatible). I'll wait till it comes out on android to put in for the $10 full game,
I admit I google Pokemon Go just to see if there's any new news on it. Sometimes you learn new stuff that site like NL may miss (or don't post due to aggressive haters), like Pokemon Go launching in India and other parts of South Asia yesterday.
What cities will the tour visit and when? New York – Jan. 13-15 Washington, D.C. – Feb. 10-12 Chicago – Feb. 17-19 Los Angeles – Feb. 24-26 San Francisco – March 3-5 All dates are subject to change
Got the 2nd email (New Yorker). It's weird, it says "Registrations are closed- Ticket sales for this event have ended" but I can be put on a waitlist when spots are available. I hope this is standard for all and not just me being late.
I kind of figured this was the reason, it's like hardcore IV/EV training. Unless it was shoved in player's' face or made semi-mandatory, they would ignore it.
At least this was a good way to gauge the active community that have sync.
Pretty sure they will turn the Starbucks next to my job into a PokeStop. Would be weird having 2 PokeGyms (the other is a statue around 10 steps away) next to each other.
Guess it's a good time to use my Starbucks' gift card.
Normally I would think a little gameplay footage would be good for the commercial, but given the fame of mario, apple, the game in general, social media buzz, and natural human curiosity, I'll be surprised if someone don't know about it.
If I happen to walk into a store and see it, I might buy it out of impulse, even if I have no initial in it. Just like I did with the Majora's mask new 3ds xl. I can wait.
Glad someone rise awareness of Hatchimals, it's like the tickle me Elmo of this holiday season.
Well it's more organized I can say that much. Hopefully they are planning to fill those categories up with more rewards next year.
On a slightly related note, I just realized 250 of my Mii/Plat coins have expired. Wish they can send a notification a day before that happens. I guess I just have to enter an reminder in the calendar for now.
It's live in NYC. Quite a surprise opening my phone and seeing that, thought it would take longer to roll out on the east side. Good on you Niantic.
I see they also brought the footprints back, even though it reads as 3 for all, especially the pokemon right next to you. Guess they are still working on that.
Although I dislike scalper for unfairly profiting off others misery (per say), I dislike some of the buyers, well only the ones that complain about buying it way over msrp. Like lemonjellydude said no one is forced to buy it at that price. Even some of the auctions started at $0.99 with no reserve but ended at more than $190.
Ultimately it's us, mainly the ebay buyers that determine the price for those scalpers and if it gets sold. If a good amount of people are willing to pay $200 for a $60 system that is getting a restock, then others will sell it back at $200 and will keep on doing it.
Like with amiibo, have patience and don't give into impulse.
I'm not sure which was a surprise to me; that the change happened so fast and sudden (around 3pm est), that the top three strongest Gyarados I have went from 2100+cp to around 2800cp, or that all the Pokemon that was fainted fully recovered (9+ Pokemon).
Noice, I'm going to take advantage of this when it's time. My goal is to become a stronger trainer in Go (currently lvl 30), that way when all the major updates comes out, I don't have to be the guy left behind whining.
After all it was thanks to the halloween event and the latest nest change, I was able to get 141 Pokemon in the Pokedex and several high cp pokemon for gyms. Silently happy in the noise of hate.
I dont't mind as much that Disney XD is getting the Pokémon series. If this was around the time they had Naruto Shippuden, I would be worried. But seeing how they did Doraemon and Yo-Kai Watch, I have more fate (not counting censors & edits for sensitive American audiences)
With that in mind, I have to remember to watch the 41 episodes of Pokémon XYZ I have recorded on my DVR.
Swapdoodle and Pokemon Moon digitally for me. Maybe one of the themes if it's good.
Part of me wanted Pokemon Moon physically for the free goods and the midnight launch event at Nintendo NYC, but I'm fighting that urge thinking of the gameplay long run.
I'm not really interested in it. I prefer to move forward and play New games then to be stuck in the past high on nostalgia, no offense.
I just think it's like amiibo in the beginning, where stocks for certain characters like Villager and WFT were plentiful and preorders for the next wave was still open, until Nintendo said how they will stop making some characters in the future. Thus begin the great demand and shortage.
I can only imagine when the restock happens and there is a decent number on the shelf, certain people will say stuff like "too little, too late". Which would be ironic because nostalgia is timeless
I would figure after past stock events dealing with GameCube controller adapter, 3ds Majora's Mask edition, and especially Amiibos (and others items), that people would know what to expect.
Just like trolls, we shouldn't feed the scalpers. If you couldn't get it now, just be patient that either stores restock them or the scalper's price drop due to having no seller for the crazy price.
I read the full article, it's pretty nice and informative, especially when they have been "quiet" on the reactions for so long and vague.

I already have the disc for Rhythm Heaven Fever already, oddly at the same price years ago during the Wii era.

Re: New My Nintendo Rewards Try to Show The Love for Valentine's Day
Darn, all the NA rewards apply to games I already own.
Wish NA got Rhythm Heaven Fever for a reward as well. It would give me the extra incentive to double dip.

Fire Emblem Heroes since it's the only game I can afford right now
Re: New Fire Emblem Heroes Missions Have Appeared on My Nintendo
I was hoping 2 days ago (1/31) when trying to figure out what to spend my expiring Plat. Coins on that Fire Emblem would have items to spend on.
Now I have something to use my Miitomo/Platinum coins on before the next set expires.

@hyperhunt621 I have my fingers crossed hoping that's the case. I responded to mines 1 1/2 hours after getting it (darn subway commute).
Then again when I think about the fast turnout of people when Nintendo NYC announce an hard to find item in Stock, I shudder at the thought.

San Francisco – March 3-5
