Re: Massive Animal Crossing: New Horizons Datamine Reveals Exciting Potential Features

stevenw45

a third nook cranny's upgrade? sounds good. hopefully there will be a fourth. if there are upgrades to the museum, i hope to see them soon.

hopefully, the ability to modify the beach will appear. i would like to be able to pick where the rivers start and end. also being able to relocate the piers would be nice.

i have so many ideas, but more construction permits are needed. nook also should allow us to purchase D.I.Y. recipes for bridges and slopes. there should also be a way to change or customize certain aspects of them after they are built instead of having to tear them down and rebuild them for if we want to make changes to them...

Re: Get Two Classic Mario Game Boy Games For Less Than £5 With My Nintendo (Europe)

stevenw45

okay, now we need these rewards in the U.S. or better yet, why doesn't Nintendo just release a remake of Super Mario 64 on the Nintendo Switch that can be redeemed with My Nintendo rewards points...

either way, i still have those games on the original Gameboy. and for some reason i still have the original gameboy, the gameboy pocket and the gameboy color. unfortunately, i have to idea of what happened to my gameboy advance

no virtual console required for me in order to play these games.. although i might have purchased the games through the virtual console service.

Re: Animal Crossing: New Horizons: Scams - Friends, Best Friends And How To Keep Yourself Safe Online

stevenw45

i like the Dodo codes. it is my favorite way of keeping unwanted people from visiting my town. it can even keep my friends away...lol (if only i had a friend or two to visit in the game)

and how do people fall for these scams? maybe its just me, but how can someone fall for these easy to avoid scams?

and if you were to purchase a villager, an item, or bells on ebay; how would you get the items in the game after making the purchase? Nook no longer offers to hear or tell codes (or whatever terminology Nook used) like he did back in the GameCube version of the game.

I'm not entirely sure of how that code system worked since i only used it to get bells and items from him. (another way of cheating for if you weren't interesting in time traveling) of course then you needed to unlock nookingtons before Nook would "offer" these codes.

Re: Random: Reggie Says Animal Crossing: New Horizons Should Give Out More Star Fragments - Do You Agree?

stevenw45

for me, 15 to 20 shooting stars is at least 30+ star fragments. in the morning, i only find 6 or 7 fragments on the beach. (sometime more)

unfortunately, i have to wait hours to collect them all since only one or two of them wash up on the beach every 15 to 20 minutes. (assuming that i am playing the game.)

the worst part of collecting star fragments is that they only will generate and spawn on the beach if i am playing the game.

if i decide to take a break from the game and wait until the afternoon or the evening after the meteor shower occurs to collect the fragments; only a total of 15 fragments will wash up on the beach.

Re: Animal Crossing: New Horizons: Balloons - Balloon Spawn Rate, Hunting And Colour Guide

stevenw45

I'm glad that the Bunny Day events are gone. 10+ days of non-stop balloons gets annoying fast. I didn't want sky eggs, i want the presents to be bells, furniture, and D.I.Y. recipes. at least those non-stop balloons helped me get 300+ balloons in less than two days; which is good for getting the golden slingshot.

the D.I.Y. recipe for it showed up in a balloon seconds after i hit down 300 balloons. fortunately, it did not fall into a lake or a pond; otherwise i may have had to have waited many days for another gold balloon to appear.

Re: Animal Crossing: New Horizons - How To Catch A Fly

stevenw45

i caught a fly about an hour before reading this article. despite what the article says, i do not think to you have to leave trash around your island to find and catch a fly. i keep my town nice and clean and a fly still appears every few days.

i just got a three star island today and a fly still appeared. hopefully K.K. Slider will help keep them away when he starts visiting every Saturday.

Re: Random: This Tiny Update Would Make A World Of Difference In Animal Crossing: New Horizons

stevenw45

i remember how the axe in the GameCube version of the game. it actual showed some wear and tear before it broke. it would be nice to see that again.

if not, than your character should eventually pick up on how many hits a tool can take before it breaks even if it means buying an item from our local ATM at the town hall and purchasing it with some nook miles.

they should also update the game so that the different backpacks can let you hold additional items; even if they only allow you to hold a few tools.

the nook inc. bag could allow you to hold up to five additional items; maybe more but no tools in the bag. maybe some of the bigger bags that look like outdoor gear could allow you to carry your everyday tools that will unfortunately break. other bag types can allow you to hold additional items as well, however different bags may allow you to hold additional items of different types.(instead of all of the different bags giving you the same storage upgrades.)

either way, these updates to the game could allow us more ways to earn additional nook miles from everyday tasks. even if we never get these wanted updates, we should just be thankful that Nintendo never setup the game, so that the different fruits wouldn't go bad for if they weren't used by a certain day.

Re: PSA: Remember To Update Your Joy-Con Today, As Well As Your Switch

stevenw45

will these updates fix the battery issue that two of my Joy-Cons are having? or will i be stuck with two great batteries that can last for days at a time without the need to be recharged and two other batteries that need to be charged daily (even if they are not being used)

either way, i haven updated my Joy-Con Controllers since the v3.x or v4.x firmware updates for the nintendo switch. besides, who knows how many updates that the Joy-Cons have received since the system was first released.

Re: Random: Of Course Someone's Made Super Mario Bros. 1-1 In Animal Crossing: New Horizons

stevenw45

@Jaxad0127

that better be a 5 Star island (damn took if its not)... if not, than hopefully the user found a way to make level 1-1 more enjoyable. and not just to watch, but to play as well. to me that island is 5 stars...

nook may not like Super Mario as much as the rest of us, but hopefully "he knows" what we are trying to do and will be happy enough to reward us for doing so with a collection of miles....

Re: Nintendo Switch System Update 10.0.0 Is Now Live

stevenw45

we finally have controller button mapping... Nintendo needs to add controller button mapping to the GameCube controllers. the controllers work well and all, but the button remapping would do great for the controllers.

it would make certain games more playable with the controller. foe example, Luigi's Mansion 3 and Super Mario odyssey have it so that some actions are mapped across multiple buttons.

in Super Mario odyssey the actions for jumping and throwing cappy are not only mapped to X and Y, but they are also mapped to A and B. allowing controller mapping with the GameCube controller can fix that. it would also allow the GameCube controller to have a Select Button and a Home buttons for some games.

Nintendo Needs to add better Support for the GameCube controller. is that too much to ask? or can they not update the system to better recognize the GameCube controller and allow us to remap the controller buttons for when we want to use it with some of our favorite games.

Re: Animal Crossing: New Horizons Villager Potentially Leaks Museum Art Gallery Update

stevenw45

maybe the museum is going to have an upgrade like it did in new leaf. and not just another floor.

the staircase might be a entrance to the second floor leading to a hallway with two or more doors. one room will have something to do with Celeste (like it did in new leaf) and the other one having a painting collection in it.

hopefully an update will come before the end of the month. or by June at the latest depending on how detailed the gallery is and will be. for all we know there might be updates to the other exhibits in the museum as well..

Re: Random: "One-Line Code Fix" Resolves Super Mario 64 Smoke Bug

stevenw45

so, does this mean that Super Mario 64 will be coming to the Nintendo switch? (with the bug fix included) maybe Nintendo will fix a few other bugs in the game as well.

either way, to me it doesn't matter which version of the smoke is being used when playing the game on the N64. it took them 20+ years for people to notice, so it may not have been a mistake.

if Nintendo thinks its a bug than they may just be kind to use and update the Wii U virtual console version of the game.

Re: Random: Eerie Gravestone Sighting In Animal Crossing: New Horizons Has Some Fans Worried

stevenw45

for all we know the gravestone belongs to beau.

Nook finally figured out that she knows too much so he had to put her six feet under before she could inform the others.

if all the villagers knew that it was just a game than something may go wrong.... like the fruit starts growing at normal rate, Tommy and Timmy might stop buying weeds, shells, fossils, D.I.YI.recipes, and fruit from us. or WORSE Nook may start to charge us interest on our loans and foreclose on our houses if we can't pay our loan back in full by the end of the day!!! lol)

Re: Feature: Why We Think Crazy Redd Will Bring His Artwork To Animal Crossing: New Horizons

stevenw45

its weird that Redd is missing. hopefully he will appear (not having his tent where the town hall is) i liked it better when certain characters were placed in random locations.

and where is Gracie? i somewhat miss how in the original animal crossing how that giraffe used to make us wash her sports car. hopefully she will make an appearance.

and at this point, i also noticed that there are a few other special (non-holiday) characters missing from the game. why must Nintendo be so mean to us?

Re: Poll: Animal Crossing: New Horizons - What Would You Like To See Added In An Update?

stevenw45

one thing that i would like to see is more realistic weather. it would be nice for the weather in the game to follow the weather outside your house. having this feature enabled will be an optional feature.

it would be nice to more realistic weather. imagine it raining in the game when it is raining outside. whether it is a light drizzle, a steady rain or a heavy thunder storm.

updated winter weather would be nice to. being able to have a light snow at times or even have the risk of a heavy snow, making it so that your character needs snow shoes in order to travel outside without getting stuck in the snow.

also the possibility of the rivers and ponds freezing over would be nice. even though being able to walk on the ice would be nice, its horrible to think about the possibility for the ice to break and for your character to fall through the ice and go for a swim (even if it just to avoid drowning. with the possibility of the rivers and ponds freezing over, it could add an option to go ice fishing.

we also need more house upgrades. only add three rooms on the first floor, as well as a second floor and a basement is not enough. it would be nice to have multiple rooms on each floor and have them expanded. or better yet, an additional (optional) upgrade afterwards that lets you add even more rooms to each level of the house and let you pick how they are connected. having rooms like a real house would be nice. just imagine adding additional rooms with the option of having hallways to connect them. however, that may be cost 50,000,000+ bells.

Blathers repetition reduction would be nice, but probably would be set as an option to modify from the start screen.

if Nintendo speeds up online travel time, they would have to update the way that the system works. try to make traveling at the airport work more like the real world. making it so that you can purchase tickets in advance (with help from the Nintendo switch online app).

it would help make traveling easier for when 3+ people want to travel into someone's town at the same time. just imagine the primary person (the person who everyone is visiting) waiting at the airport for the other to arrive. as well as having the option of watching each of the flights come in for a landing. it would be nice to greet a friend on the runway after the plane lands instead of having to greet them at the gate. the runway may need to be expanded for this, but either way your villager would just be standing on the pier waiting for the plane to land.

Nintendo also needs to update the game so that the D.I.Y. recipes are more organized. now that we have bunny day recipes, there should be addition section for them. recipe sections for toy day , Halloween, and other holiday recipes need to be added as well. by December we may have hundreds of additional recipes; hopefully Nintendo has an update to help us keep track of them all without getting lost in a very long list.

hopefully Nintendo has an additional upgrade or two for nook's cranny. we have lots of items to collect and we want them now. as well as a better way of previewing the wallpapers and flooring before we buy them instead of just seeing them on a list in a cabinet. hopefully the next upgrade for nooks cranny will be a big department like Nookingtons or ST&T Emporium or better.

Re: Nintendo To Remaster 'Most Of Super Mario’s 35-Year Catalogue' For Switch in 2020, New Report Says

stevenw45

I noticed Super Mario 64 was on the list. an updated version of that game would be great.

put in some updated graphics (with the option of playing with the original graphics). hopefully both the original and DS versions will be included.

a optional (split-screen) multiplayer mode would be great.

with the option of not being forced out of a level every time you collect a power star. the only time you should be forced out of a level after the collection of a power star is when there are no more stars to collect in the level or if the level requires that you leave in order for it to be updated.

in cool, cool, mountain, i do not think the user should have to be kicked out in order for the damn penguin in the cabin after the first power star is collected.

however, it does make sense to do so for in order for the pink Bomb-Ombs to appear in the different levels.

Re: Random: Is The World Of Animal Crossing: New Horizons All A Lie?

stevenw45

so, funny, but some animals in the game have done that before in older versions of animal crossing. i have seen one of the animals do this in the GameCube version of the game.

same skit and everything but in the newer version the dialog is slightly different and is much more fun to watch over and over again. (much more of a panic. yes. yes.)

Re: Random: Can Animal Crossing Players Stop Imprisoning Poor Tommy, Please?

stevenw45

@Mikenificent

that probably should have gone unsaid. now he might not visit your island anymore. imagine the amount of nook miles that you won't get and the miles you may lose...lol either way, i want a video of tom nook paying the ransom for the release of Tommy.

its too bad we can't capture tom nook himself. just imagine all of the riches that we may get from Timmy and Tommy; after all they do own nook's cranny. (a full item catalog, a bigger retail store, or maybe something else)

Re: Random: Can Animal Crossing Players Stop Imprisoning Poor Tommy, Please?

stevenw45

can someone please tell me of where i can get the tools to trap Tommy and how i would use them to do so? i would like that cage.

does trapping him actually work? how do i go about capturing him if nook's cranny is open and he is inside? and would it be possible to get money or loans forgiven if i were to capture one of my fellow villagers?

Re: Angry Players Are Starting To Review-Bomb Animal Crossing: New Horizons

stevenw45

I'm okay with the one island per system, but that is because i have no one in my house that wants to play the game with me. so online multiplayer works. however, it would be nice to have multiple islands per system. multiple villages per system (one per memory card) was a nice feature in the GameCube version of the game.

in terms of the the objectives of the game are not being clear, i somewhat disagree. for starters the list of objectives for doing certain tasks was never clear in any animal crossing game. (like how to unlock or upgrade certain buildings.) of course now we have a lot more objectives and goals to complete.

hopefully Nintendo will update the game so that the nook miles app will be more organized. it may help with keeping track of the different objectives. that may make people happy. if people would stop cheating, by "time traveling" or by taking advantage of certain glitches, they may enjoy the game more. the game stops being fun once all of the tasks and objectives are completed.

other than nook's cranny, the museum, Able Sisters Tailor Shop, and town hall. what other buildings can be unlocked? will kicks, club L.O.L, Shampoodle, the police station, Gardening Store, The Roost, and Re-Tail make an appearance? and what about store upgrades, is there any?

so far i am rating the game a 9 out of 10 and i would like to keep it that way. i rated new leaf a 6.6 out of 10. it would have been rated higher but i didn't like how it was on the DS. animal crossing is more of a console based game than a mobile game. however, pocket camp is nice for how it is setup.

Re: Random: Scared Of Spiders? Then Don’t Try This Animal Crossing: New Horizons Trick

stevenw45

@DinnerAndWine

it was a bit of a rhetorical question. the whole "tarantula" thing makes you skip over the words"any island". picturing the invasion of the tarantulas is better than the reality of your character being tortured. what a fun nightmare.

do you or anyone else know of a way (or) two to trick other creatures to come out from hiding and attack. it would be nice to be able to select my attacker. either way, i have to capture and bring over a tarantula to the museum.

Re: You Can't Access Seasonal Events In Animal Crossing: New Horizons By Time Travelling

stevenw45

@bluesun

i never actually looked up the date range for the system time in any Nintendo system. i only noticed the date range for animal crossing on the GameCube because of the whole time travel thing.

either way, Animal Crossing: New Horizons is here for all of us to enjoy. its too bad we have to wait until tomorrow.

and thanks for the information on the clock range on the Nintendo switch. as long as i don't get kicked off of the Nintendo online network to be able to play with my friends, i will be fine. maybe Nook (and Nintendo) will be kind and let us start playing a day early.

Re: Nintendo Is Already Fighting Off Hackers In Animal Crossing: New Horizons

stevenw45

hopefully an update will be released of where Resetti appears at the airport telling users about the possibility of being banned from the network for if they try to cheat.

in the update, Resetti will just be sitting at a bench or whatever at the airport waiting for optional interaction. you can talk to him freely about the possibility of being banned.

you are only forced to talk to him at the airport when you are at risk of being banned or when he pops-up in front of you, telling you that you have been banned from the network. i wonder how long Nook or Resetti will yell at you for if you end up being banned from the network? or how they will do so.

just imagine Nook locking you in your tent (or house) during the lecture. or worse, him dragging you home so that he can start yelling at you about cheating.

Re: You Can't Access Seasonal Events In Animal Crossing: New Horizons By Time Travelling

stevenw45

i only use "time traveling" to help speed up the evolution of my city, which is very helpful in the GameCube version of the game. it also helped with receiving fossils in the mail faster. in the Wii version, time traveling just messed certain things up.

hopefully, time traveling won't mess up the rate in which your town evolves or won't mess up receiving items in the mail.

either way, i can live without experiencing the holidays for when i time travel. hopefully the years available for time traveling won't be as limited as the GameCube version.

i found it annoying that you couldn't set the clock past 12/31/2030. i got it to go to 01/01/2031, but i had to leave the system on and let the game time run past midnight. the time probably could have gone past the first, but who wants to leave their gaming systems for days at a time just to see how far the date can go before it resets back to 2030.
