Re: Near Mint Condition Copy Of Super Mario Bros. Sells At Auction For More Than $100,000

stevenw45

$100,150 USD is a lot to spend on one game. so is the much more affordable price of $30,000 the most money.

i think I'll spend my tons of money on my professional photography career instead. working in professional photography costs a lot of money, but at least you get something in return unlike a unused game or system that you may never look at again later it gets added to your collection.

Re: Guide: How To Claim Battle Royale Victory In Tetris 99

stevenw45

this should be easy for me to win (assuming i am still good at the game.) but that was many years ago.

and here is an additional tip for playing Tetris: don't overthink your actions; just play. the more you think; the more you will pay attention to the board and the more you pay attention to the board the more likely you are to mess up.

Re: Super Mario Maker 2 Confirmed For Switch, Launches This June

stevenw45

hopefully the Pro controller can be used. it would be nice to be able to use it along side the joy-con controllers and the system's touch screen.

maybe Nintendo will update the system so that we can use the Wii U gamepad when making courses in Super Mario Maker 2. i doubt it will happen, but it would be a nice feature to have.

also, i hope the new version of the game will allow us to mix and match the different themes from the different super Mario games. it would add a lot more possibilities for creating levels. maybe it could allow us to create levels with higher difficulty modes.

maybe we will get lucky and Nintendo will let us create world maps for our levels for if we want to create them in groups.

Re: Rumour: Switch Seen Running Android In The Wild

stevenw45

android would be fine i guess, but why would we put Windows 98 on the switch. is someone trying to bring jezz ball back into style...lol or better yet, radio station screen savers...lol

just imagine your Nintendo switch (your secondary Nintendo switch )playing music in standby mode during a party...

i think our Nintendo switch systems earned a short break due to the upcoming Nintendo direct.

Re: Rumour: Dataminer Uncovers SNES Games For Nintendo Switch Online Service

stevenw45

Super Mario World is a must have. now they need to add super mario RPG to the list along side a few others.

as for N64 and GameCube games; Nintendo may be better off with re-releasing a few of them.

like Luigi's Mansion for example. they need to re-release the first two onto the switch and then release the third one along with it. maybe as a 3 pack collection. (with all three of them on carts; no download codes)

i hate how some of the retail games come with a download codes. the Mega Man Legacy Collections for example.

Re: Random: Fans Ask Nintendo To Revive Super Mario RPG's Geno And Mallow In Online Petition

stevenw45

seeing Geno and Mallow in super smash brothers ultimate would be interesting.

however, right now they should have other characters added or some character changes.

for example having multiple versions of mario, luigi, peach, bowser, the others would be nice. at this point we have many characters; each with multiple outfits. but i think Nintendo needs to add multiple versions of the characters as well.

its nice to see eigh outfits for mario, but it would also be nice to have different versions of him. each version having different abilities. we could have cappy mario, normal mario, paint mario (a.k.a. bowser jr. in disguise ), construction mario,, and possibly even cat and tanooki mario.

doing the same thing with luigi as well would be nice. would love the ability to play as Luigi with the poltergust 5000. being able to play as toadette and peachette would be nice as well. if nintendo is going to call the newest version of super smash brother "ultimate", than they should make it ultimate.

Re: Meet The 'SwitchGuard', An Accessory That Aims To Keep Your Switch From Being Stolen

stevenw45

@kyleforrester87

no thanks. i am not interested in making a working copy of a key for the SwitchGuard. besides, i already have a Nintendo switch. why would i want to take someone else's?

and don't you know what a locksmith is? ask one of them to make a copy of the key for you. or better yet, why don't you learn how to make a copy of the key yourself. if you need help feel free to ask google.

Re: Meet The 'SwitchGuard', An Accessory That Aims To Keep Your Switch From Being Stolen

stevenw45

no thanks. this thing looks as though that it can be picked up with ease regardless of whether or not the nintendo switch is inside of it.

and it uses a standard lock in which is probably universal amung all SwitchGuard models. and thanks for a picture of the key; that just allows me to make a copy of the key with ease.

now i can spend $2.00 on a spare key instead of paying $50.00 for a SwitchGuard with a set of keys that i can use to unlock other SwitchGuard systems. and even worse; those types of locks can be opened without a key. i assume that there are people out there that know how to pick a lock.

Re: This Custom Game Boy Cartridge Turns Your Old Handhelds Into GameCube And Wii Controllers

stevenw45

didn't Nintendo or some other company already create an accessory like this for the original Gameboy and the Gameboy color.

i remember a Gameboy accessory that allows you to connect your Gameboy to your PC via USB. great for allowing you to use your PC as a secondary screen for your Gameboy.

i still have the software for it. its just too bad i can't find a USB cable for the Gameboy color or the Gameboy original. also, i am not sure the software will work since it was designed for windows 95.

Re: Random: Sneaky Smash Bros. Fans Rejoice At The Sight Of Princess Peach's Knickers

stevenw45

Princess Peach's Knickers can be seen in super smash brother melee.

i only noticed that because some 10 year old that i was playing against pointed it out and started playing as her because of that.

personally, i do not care. Nintendo should turn off that stupid filter. either let them see Princess Peach's Knickers or give her a change of cloths. besides she doesn't wear her dress in all of her games.

Re: Random: Avoid Water If You're Playing As One Of These Fighters In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

stevenw45

they need to balance it out so that grass Pokemon take damage from fire levels and whatnot. (and yes, by Pokemon i mean super smash brothers fighter.) if only those four characters have element weaknesses than the game is not fair.

and as everyone knows; Pokemon trainer has three Pokemon that he can pick from. since he has charizard, does that mean there is a risk that his other Pokemon can take damage as well, even though Squirtle is a water Pokemon.

Re: Random: Smash Bros. Fan 3D Prints Custom GameCube Controller Adapter Designed For 8-Player Mode

stevenw45

now for Nintendo to fix the Nintendo switch so that we can sync 8+ controllers to it at a time...

8 player super smash brothers seems fun but what about 12 players... (or more)

of course if Nintendo released a 12 player version of super smash brothers we may need to connect multiple systems together so that not everyone is glued to the same TV screen.

now imagine having 5 Nintendo switch units in your house, connected to each other via LAN or Wi-Fi, each having four to six players each, all battling it out in super smash brothers... and each unit only focusing in on the players for that system that way we don't have to zoom out as much like in the Wii U version.

Re: A Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Switch Bundle Has Just Sold On eBay For Over $1,000

stevenw45

@AlexSora89:

well for starters, there are internal company policies... then there are agreements between companies.

an example would be between Nintendo and best buy as well as other companies that sell Nintendo games.

the agreement would be that any game that is or was pre-ordered would be shipped out so that the consumer would receive the game on release day or later. (depending on the shipping option that the buyer selected)

that agreement would be broken if best buy or some other companies shipped out pre-ordered games so that the consumer would receive them before the games actual release day.

this issue happened with super Mario odyssey and Nintendo got mad at local retailers for it. i think there was an article (posted on Nintendolife) about people receiving their copies of super Mario odyssey a few days earlier than they should have.

and i know that this may not be the best example. but it is the only one involving Nintendo that i can think of right now.

Re: Now Your Steps Will Be Counted In Pokémon GO Even When You're Not Playing The Game

stevenw45

why does Pokemon go need to count our steps when we already have 20 devices that already do so including our smartphones (with the included built-in app that most people don't notice) and Nintendo 3DS. half of my digital cameras can count my steps as well...

and whats worth is that the WiiRemotes and Joy-Con controolers have this capability as well (as well as the Nintendo switch pro controller). it is a good thing that they aren't configured to do so or we might have a problem.

Re: A Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Switch Bundle Has Just Sold On eBay For Over $1,000

stevenw45

@SilentHunter382

correct. however, the guy only has the physical hardware on him and not the game.

the buyer says that the bundle comes with a digital download code for the game itself.

however, since the download codes are not active yet, they are not valid and cannot be (and should not be) sold at this time. pre-orders for purchasing the game from the eShop are not even active yet.

also, i read Nintendo's user agreement policy and the buyer seems to be in violation of it, but i am not sure if Nintendo is fully aware of that since no one, not even they read the user agreement policy all the way through.

Re: A Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Switch Bundle Has Just Sold On eBay For Over $1,000

stevenw45

i thought ebay updated their user agreement policy (along time ago) so that users can't sell certain types of pre-release items such as video games on their web site.

because of this i hope that the purchase gets canceled and the buyer gets their money back. and why would someone pay over 500% of the original retail price for an item that hasn't even been released yet?

Re: Random: Wish Your Switch Was More Like A 3DS? Then 3D Print Your Own Folding Flip Case

stevenw45

@Slitth

i know that the costs behind making these accessories and features. but it doesn't hurt to have these ideas. besides, Nintendo (and other companies) might be paying attention to our comments and taking ideas from them.

unfortunately, Nintendo removed GameCube compatibility from the Wii. but having a GameCube and a Wii U fixes that issue.

having the Nintendo Switch support the Wii/Wii U OS is pointless for many reasons. one reason being that the Nintendo Switch does not have enough power to handle the feature properly.

besides right now they should add some support for some video streaming services, like Amazon and Netflix. we already have Hulu, so i guess Nintendo can get some points for that.

Re: Random: Wish Your Switch Was More Like A 3DS? Then 3D Print Your Own Folding Flip Case

stevenw45

@Slitth
now, you are putting way to much thought into a Nintendo switch docking station. of course then, i would rather them create some of those accessories for the GameCube...

@Blizzia
no one has a switch unmelter. however, if the day ever comes, everyone will want one. of course then we will end up needing a switch unfreezer, but i think there is a chance that we can substitute that with some anti-freeze.

Re: Random: Wish Your Switch Was More Like A 3DS? Then 3D Print Your Own Folding Flip Case

stevenw45

@Blizzia

removing the switch? that's what you are worried about. what about the risk of the microwave setting itself on fire???

@Slitth

or how about a more powerful docking station that will let us have some backwards compatibility with some games from older systems. or how about a system update that allows us to play DVDs from our Nintendo Switch for if we want to connect a DVD drive to the console.

Re: Video: Digital Foundry Praises Luigi's Mansion's "Completely Revamped" Visuals On 3DS

stevenw45

@BlueOcean

i played the 3DS version. some effects were updated, but it ruins the feel of the game. at least in my opinion. i tried playing the 3DS version with the 3D feature turned on and i dislike it.

i hacked into the ROMs for the P.A.L. and U.S. versions of the game for the GameCube and it seems as though the coding for the 3D support was left in the game, but only for the U.S. version.

i'm not sure if the 3D feature in the GameCube version can be enabled or not. (assuming that the proper hardware is present) and who knows how far along Nintendo and other hardware developers got when it came to developing the needed equipment despite the cost and limitations of the technology at the time.
