Re: Guide: Nintendo Switch Issues And Hardware Faults - How To Fix Common Switch Problems

stevenw45

@Doktor-Mandrake

i know that technology has made huge advances since then, which was why i was exaggerating with the example i used.

i never really paid attention to the cooling system of the N64 since i was about 9 years old at the time when it came out and a child doesn't really care about possibilities of a console system warming up.

as far as the cooling system goes for the Nintendo switch goes, its not flawed, it just that it can't always keep up with the system. Nintendo should create a firmware update for the system to help the users keep track of certain performance benchmarks of the system. it might be helpful when creating an area for storing their video game systems so they have a smaller chance of over-heating from long-term or over-use of the systems.

at least the Nintendo switch along-side other video game systems have a system in place for keeping track of the internal temperature of the unit in which tells the system to shut down or go to sleep mode when the system starts to over-heat.

i only had the issue with the Nintendo switch turning itself off without my permission once. it was during a game of animal crossing. at least it just enter sleep mode, instead of crashing like the Wii U. it can get really annoying when it happens.

it was so nice to see the Nintendo Switch wake up and let me continue with my session of animal crossing right where i left off as if nothing ever happened.

Re: Guide: Nintendo Switch Issues And Hardware Faults - How To Fix Common Switch Problems

stevenw45

and yet, the only issue i have had so far is that two of my joy-con controllers are having issues holding a charge. if i go more than a day or two without using them i end up having to recharge them before they are usable.

hopefully i won't have any other issues with my Nintendo Switch. and whatever happened to the days when a device could be hit with a hammer or dropped from 10 feet in the air and hit the ground (by accident) and not take any damage? and yes, i am exaggerating a bit.

Re: Video: Watch Luigi Pull The Master Sword In The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild

stevenw45

the animation of Luigi pulling the sword needs to be fixed so that it does not go through his nose while pulling it out. him killing himself (by accident) after completing a mission is not his idea of success. unless he is being controlled by King Boo who wants to conquer a realm outside of the mushroom kingdom.

or better yet, add an additional scene of where Mario, peach, toad, or daisy rescue Luigi, after his failure to pull the sword from the stone. (or for him accidentally stabbing himself in the nose while pulling the sword out.)

and now we just need a video of link vacuuming up some ghosts

Re: New Animal Crossing: New Horizons Glitch Lets You Walk On Rooftops And In The Sea

stevenw45

i got the glitch to work without a second player visiting my town; at least for when walking on water. too bad my character gets stuck and needs to call for help after more than two steps into the water. its just too bad there isn't a drowning animation for this glitch for when our characters figure out how to walk on water.

now we just have to learn how to fish while walking on water...lol

Re: Unlock A Special Animal Crossing: New Horizons Theme In Tetris 99's Next Maximus Cup

stevenw45

i have not play Tetris 99 yet. unfortunately, i haven't played Tetris in years. the last time i played the game was about 10 years ago during my college years, when i made my own version of it using java-script. it was one of my favorite PC games of all time. great to play when waiting for one of classes to start.

even though that i am not that interested in Tetris 99 at this point, is it still possible to get the animal crossing theme? at least the new animal crossing theme gives me a reason to play Tetris 99 at a later date.

Re: Nintendo Switch Is 'Barely In The Middle' Of Its Life Cycle

stevenw45

@superpotion

super Wii is fine with me, but what about the super switch? lol one that is backwards compatible with some (downloadable) Wii U games, like Wii Fit and Wii Sports Club.

just imagine having an animal crossing edition of Wii Fit U on the Nintendo switch... or we can go easy on them and have an animal crossing version of Ring Fit Adventure.

Re: Nintendo Switch Is 'Barely In The Middle' Of Its Life Cycle

stevenw45

so, does this all mean that we might get a Nintendo Switch Pro or a Nintendo Super Switch. at least we never got a "Super Wii"..lol

@N8tiveT3ch if the Nintendo Switch stays around as a brand; than we will at least get two or three major versions of it just as Sony did with the PlayStation and Microsoft with the Xbox... if Nintendo releases a Nintendo Switch 2, it will be at least on par with the PlayStation 5. it has to be the world has no other choice...

Re: Even The Man Who Wrote Animal Crossing: New Horizons' Sea Bass Joke Is Tired Of It

stevenw45

maybe Nintendo will give an update so now we will have a C- sea bass instead of a C+...lol or better yet, Nintendo should make an update for the sea bass will change every few catching so that we won't want to through them back..

list of new "punishing" puns for the sea bass:
1) I caught a sea bass! Well...maybe a C- bass...
2) oh look, See, Sea Bass
3) oh Look I caught a D of a Sea Bass
4) I caught a D Bass! I miss the Sea...
5) not another C+ bass...

fortunately, i have not seen a Sea Bass in over a week; maybe longer. saw some red snappers, koi, alive flounders, and some zebra turkey-fish,, but no sea bass...

however, i did see a black bass or. unfortunately, it looked like a sea bass. at least it was nice to see a new pun while searching the sea.

Re: How Well Do You Know Mario?

stevenw45

the only question that threw me off was the one saying that one of his hidden talents is a Sommelier. i got the question right, but its just too hard to picture Mario as a Sommelier. it would be interesting to see Mario as one. Just Imagine Mario, Bowser, and their friends in a wine test contest.

unfortunately i got question 9 wrong but only because i never played Super Mario Galaxy.

Re: Feature: Nintendo Console Codenames And Product Codes

stevenw45

for some reason these code names makes me want Nintendo to release an Nintendo 64 classic mini. we already have NES and SNES classic mini systems. its time for the N64 to join the club. or at least add some of those games to the Nintendo Switch online game catalog.

Re: The 64Mate - A New All-In-One N64 Storage Add-On Goes Live On Kickstarter

stevenw45

unfortunately it is a few years too late.so, no thanks. however, if Nintendo made a N64 classic mini i may get that.

the storage system is nice, but for the amount of games it store and the amount of N64 games we have these days or the amount we may have had back in the day, the accessory is a waste of space.

the accessory should be updated so the user doesn't have to swap out game cartridges every time they want to play a different game.

the game case could always attach to the bottom of the N64 like the 64DD. the accessory can be setup so that the games are plugged into it with a switch that tells the system which game to load. and if needed a false game cartridge can be made to boot the system from the game case which has the different games in it.

so, who likes my idea?

Re: Random: Do You Know About Super Mario Bros.' Secret Game Over Continue Trick?

stevenw45

i was not a fan of The original Super Mario Bros. back in the day, but when i started playing the game through the Wii U virtual console system, i found the continue trick very easily, but only because i i was looking for glitches in the game to begin with.

i also found other glitches as well, like the unbeatable World 0-1. and just like many others, i found a way to get out of the level; all that needs to be done is reset the game. and for all i know there is a way to beat the unbeatable World 0-1.

Re: Why Does Nintendo Use Friend Codes Instead Of Screen Names? Leaked Documents Reveal All

stevenw45

i somewhat like the friend code system. it is a straight forward way of adding people you know to your system's and your account's friend list. however, it needs to be improved.

even though they should leave the friend system in place (if it ain't broke, don't fix it); they should allow us to do friend request via email or txt messaging.

they created these Nintendo accounts for us with Nintendo Network I.D.s and they should be allowing us to us them.

if you look through the system's (nintendo switch) friend system; there seems to be a way of adding friends from your other Nintendo system. i think there was a Facebook option, or was i imagining that in the menu? or did they remove it.

if they want to fix this "broken" issue in the friend system, all they have to do is add an option called: "invite friend via email or txt." then once the email or txt is sent to the "pending" friend; all a person needs to do in order to complete the transaction is click on a link.

its not that hard of a feature to add; they already have everything in place to do so. all they have to do is have emails that are generated by the nintendo switch sent out that include automated generic links that can be complete the transaction by the click of a link.

with the My Nintendo system running side by side with the Nintendo Switch online services as well as the services from the Wii and Wii U it makes it even easier since the needed information is already in place as well as located in more than one place.

if you know what you are doing you can generate your own email to streamline the process. and the best part of all is that once the link is created, all that has to be done is change two small bits of information in the URL that determines the sender account and the recipient account.

Re: Nintendo's 1984 Release VS. Wrecking Crew Joins The Arcade Archives This Week

stevenw45

i haven't played Wrecking Crew in a while, but isn't it included in the NES games for Nintendo switch online or the Wii U/3DS virtual console service?

Nintendo should release an Arcade Archives app (optional to use) to keep all of our Arcade Archive games organized. that way we won't have 20 additional icons on our app screen...or dozens of Arcade Archive games filling up our game catalog.

Re: Random: The Switch Gets A Name Change In Animal Crossing: New Horizons

stevenw45

calling it a "switch" was correct. however, it never said what kind of switch it was. besides, there are a lot of types of switches. (not including the Nintendo Switch which is named as such in the game.)

either way, calling it a "light switch" is not correct.it should be called "switch plate (light)", assuming you can interact with it to turn the lights on and off. i never saw any light switches in the game yet, but does anyone know if Nintendo added different types of light switches in the game for use to have in our island homes?

Re: One Month Later, Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ Review-Bombing Is Only Getting Worse

stevenw45

right now, my score for the game is 9 out of 10. just like many others i have my complaints about the game.

unlike many others, i stopped caring about the one island per system. however, i would like more customization over the island.

unfortunately no one knows the true amount of people who hate, dislike, or don't care about that limitation. (that information is needed so Nintendo can find the proper way of fixing it.)

right now one of the best parts of the game is that there is always something to do. some of them allow us to get as many bells as we need (or want) even though it may take a while.

i read the review above about the second player not being able to experience the game as well as the first. i think that is wrong, but only because they inoroved the multiplayer experience of animal crossing over the years.

and besides the whole "who likes doing chores to get out of debt from a raccoon"; doesn't that seem to be a part of the game that we all know and love and probably stopped caring about. its just a game, so who cared about being in debt from a raccoon. lets just be thankful that we are not in debt to a skunk or a dung beetle...lol

P.S. my first complaint about the franchise was for the GameCube version of the game and it had nothing to do with the game itself. it was about how many older sister lost the memory card that i stored the saved game data for my games and i was more so concerned about the saved game data for my other games over animal crossing. I had 4+ towns, so who cares about the first.

Re: A Cool Animal Crossing: New Leaf Feature Might Be Coming To New Horizons

stevenw45

whats next after that; additional construction permits? like ones to modify the beach? maybe some D.I.Y. recipes for building bridges and slopes. I'm tired of paying nook for the bridges and slopes. besides, our first bridge was build with a D.I.Y. recipe. why did he have to take it away?

maybe addition expansions to hour houses. or even better; additional upgrades to some of the buildings on our island.

Re: Community: Tried Super Mario Maker 2's World Maker Yet? Share Your Codes Here

stevenw45

why do we only see Super Mario World themed maps? do we not have options of having world maps in other themes or is nintendo adding that later?

at times i like the super mario maker, but only because the Wii U gamepad helped when making levels.

in super mario maker 2 we do not have that option unless we want to use the system in handheld mode in order to have a touchscreen when creating levels. also the addition of the Wii U gamepad allowed us to edit the level on one screen and then let use use the other to see the course we were making as well as the master list of course editor tools and what not.

Re: Animal Crossing: New Horizons: Redd - How To Spot Fake Paintings And Statues And Unlock Crazy Redd

stevenw45

its so nice that Crazy Redd is here selling us his "legitimate" pieces of art.

with his return; it gives me an idea. Nintendo should port Wii Fit U over to the Nintendo Switch. however with the Nintendo Switch edition, it will have all of our favorite Animal Crossing characters instead of those annoying Mii characters. they can call it Animal Crossing Fit...

and don't worry, your character from Animal Crossing New Horizons will be your playable character in the game... it gives Nintendo a new use for Dodo Airlines. just imagine starting up Animal Crossing Fit for the first time and seeing your character fly in via Dodo Airlines. the game will sell like hot cakes...

Re: Poll: Is It Cool To Time Travel In Animal Crossing: New Horizons?

stevenw45

its too bad i can't travel back in time to get my bells back...lol i keep getting new ideas of how i want to remodel my town and make it perfect.

it would also help if time traveling could demolish an empty plot of land that is currently for sale. i don't want all 10 plots of land for houses. does anyone know how to sell it back to nook? a few of them are empty and i want them gone instead of letting a new animal move in...
