i still have my gameboy printer and my gameboy camera, and my gameboy color. as of the last time i check which was years ago, they were all in great working condition. however, these days i like to use Polaroid cameras for when i mess around with instant photography.
besides, i already have enough ways to print and share screen shots taken from my Nintendo switch.
an interested 25+ minute video on the "X" button. the "X" thing never bothered me; the the swapping of the "A" and "B" buttons that can be annoying.
the proper order of the buttons should be A, B, X, Y; not B A Y X. the only exception to this rule is the GameCube, but that just might be me and the fact that those four buttons on that controller are all different shapes and sizes.
being able to remember a placement of a button by its shape, size, and color, is a lot easier than having to remember its placement by what letter it is or however you wanna call it...
yup, it seems as though we are skipping the Japanese release. however, wasn't the original known as animal forest, which was on the N64 and then just ported over to the GameCube later on as Animal Crossing. maybe the people who want the game in the hall of fame (the people in charge of the hall of fame) do not know or have forgotten the history of the game.
finally Animal Crossing will be in the Video Game Hall of Fame.
just be careful in the GameCube version of the game; i ran into a glitch that allows you to have more than 20 villagers in the game. normally you should only be allowed to have 6 villagers on average.
maybe i should go back to the original and try for 40+ villagers just to see if it can be done.
i don't even have an 8K TV so this update is useless to me. however, the updated graphics are nice. its too bad 8K video takes up way to much disk space. isn't the game currently around 2GB or 3GB in size. if it gets updated to 8K graphics than the game will be at least 12GB in size.
if we do get a Switch Pro, i just hope that the exclusives are not limited to older games ported over to the Nintendo Switch. although i Would like to Pikmin trilogy on the Nintendo Switch, as well as the Luigi's Mansion trilogy.
for all we know the different Banjo-Kazooie games will arrive on the Nintendo Switch (pro) as an exclusive. it would explain why the bear and bird duo are now playable fighters in super smash brothers. its either that or Microsoft and Nintendo are finally becoming friends...lol
as long as Splatoon 3 and Legend of Zelda breath of the Wild 2 are not exclusives to the Pro model; than we are all good.
its nice that the Nintendo switch can detect the colors of the different joy-con controllers. i noticed that in a system updates a long time ago.
the system also does the same thing with the different varieties of the pro controller when connected wirelessly. its somewhat impressive of how Nintendo not only decided to do so, but that they managed to do so.
now its time for them to do the same with the GameCube controllers. it would be great for the system to know when a GameCube controller is connected instead of it showing up as a generic USB controller even if the controller color isn't detected. the pro controller has the same issue when connected via USB.
don't be sorry, i have been playing video games for 20+ years now; i was eventually going to purchase a video game system that would fail on me.
i don't care about the joy-con controller drift issues that much; of course then i never had to go through it.
the last video game controller issue i had was i received a joy-con controller with faulty batteries. at least that was fixed free of charge. before that, it was with a Nintendo 64 controller. unlike the good old days we actually can fix controller drift issues ourselves. if you explore a menu system of a video game system long enough (or google it); you will eventually find a way to easily re-calibrate the controller. unfortunately, at times the feature is well hidden.
i don't see them doing it either. at least the Wii and Wii U systems each had one generation of backwards compatibility. the Wii U could have had two generations of backwards compatibility if Nintendo decided to do so. instead we got stuck with that Nintendo Wii U deluxe edition promotional offer years ago back when the Wii U was first released.
lets just hope that the new switch version has something that makes it worth purchasing; like a fix for its heating issues.
i ended up having to purchase a new Nintendo switch due to the fact that the system gained over-heating issues. the screen ended up becoming badly warped.
normally, i wouldn't have cared but somehow the heating issue got so bad that the system would shut itself off after 15-20 minutes or less.
for all we know the Nintendo switch pro could be a dedicated console instead of its usual hybrid self... the Nintendo switch has a portable version, so why not a dedicated version that includes a DVD drive? and possibly backwards compatibility with GameCube, Wii, and Wii U games. these features would be the only reason to upgrade to a new model of the Nintendo switch, unfortunately it may never happen.
now it is time that Microsoft ports the games over to the Nintendo Switch.
or at least releases updated/upgraded versions of the game for the xbox one and the xbox series S|X. having an HD remake of the games might be nice; as well as having some additional features added. isn't there a feature in Banjo-Tooie that was never implemented into the game. or possibly having the option so that player 1 controls Banjo and player 2 controls Kazooie for when the two of them decide to split-up and do their own thing. even adding him to Mart Kart would be nice. they (at least Banjo) appeared in a Diddy Kong racing; maybe its time that he joined the fun in Mart Kart.
the last game i ordered on eBay was a game for the GameCube, but unfortunately it arrived defective. instead of refunding me the seller just sent me a replacement. the replacement he sent me was of a different game; he offered a selection of games for me to pick from. unfortunately, the replacement arrived defective as well. so did the two others; unfortunately each one arriving defective making it so that i requested a refund. at least the last of the games he sent me worked.
he was nice enough to let me keep the defective games as so kind and accommodating when it came to the issues that i had with my order so i ended giving him 5 stars. in the review i gave him i put in a nice comment about how helpful he was.
unfortunately, some sellers, as well as some companies are not that kind. some places charge you a restocking fee for returning a product even if it is defective.
and yes, i proved it to him that the games arrived defective. there would be no point in asking for a replacement if i didn't prove that the game arrived defective game.
i have a slight dislike towards Pietro at times, but i still let him live on my island, free of charge.
i just took the damned buzzfeed quiz myself, and I also got the damned clown, Pietro. this might be that first, last, and only buzzfeed quiz i ever take.
i would like a dedicated console version of the Nintendo switch. i never use it in handheld mode. besides, i ended up having to purchase a new Nintendo switch a while ago since the screen got all warped and ended up getting a few other hardware issues that caused it to fail.
i just hope the newer model has a better system to prevent the screen from warping as well as any heating issues. as well as fixing that joy-con drift issue that i keep hearing about. thankfully i have never gotten that issue and hopefully i never will.
i love the Mario Kart Legos. Nintendo should make a Lego style kart for Mario. (sorry Luigi, but we like Mario more.)
next up for Mario Kart live home circuit should be more gates and objects. not enough Mario Kart objects. next up for Lego Mario should be new enemies; some of them should be just for Lego Mario Kart live home circuit.
and I'm still waiting for some updates for Super Mario Maker 2. at one point there were hints and references to adding new themes for course making. they still haven't done that. (and unfortunately they might never do so). they should add a Lego theme option just for the fun of it. or just release Super Mario Maker 3D. it would be nice to have a reason to revisit the Super Mario Maker games.
animal crossing is one way to bond with family. the last time animal crossing helped me bond with family was when it was released on the GameCube many years ago. of course then, my dad, my two sisters, and i would always fight over who plays and when.
the only Wii U game i still play is Wii Fit U. need money if I'm going to upgrade to Ring Fit Adventure or Nintendo Fitness Boxing. i might get lucky and receive one of them as a Christmas gift this year.
@Clyde_Radcliffe Nintendo never turns off their servers, at least for most of their games. and Animal Crossing is one of those games.
the servers for the Animal Crossing games are still up and running even for the GameCube release. unfortunately, they are only still up and running for those who want to take a look at the dates for the different events. also, one of the older web sites has a playable (very limited) demo version of one of the older Animal Crossing games up and running.
the demo only allows you to go fishing, unfortunately sea bass are the only catch-able fish.. and yes, i am holding my tongue on that pun.
the only problem with Nintendo giving us this information is that Nintendo is forgetting to give us some My Nintendo rewards points as a Christmas gift...
and i got more than 760 hours across 5 games. unfortunately, Animal Crossing is stuck at second to the top... it seems as though Super Mario Odyssey is in the lead even though i haven't played it since the release of Animal Crossing. maybe Animal Crossing will win in 2021...lol
even though i am a huge fan of Nintendo, i still have an Xbox. I won it in a sweepstakes on the Microsoft web site. other than Banjo-Kazooie, I only really have the JackBox Party Pack games. the Xbox console companion is useful if you want to play the different Jackbox games with your friends via zoom.
Since the PlayStation is the only "real" competitor to the Xbox, maybe Nintendo and Microsoft should team up and release the Nintendo Xbox.
It would be nice to have an all in one console that plays all of my Wii, Wii U, GameCube, and Nintendo Switch games, as well as my Xbox games. or at least a system that plays all of my Nintendo games from all of the different Nintendo consoles. besides, having an all-in-one gaming console would be a huge power-saver.
i noticed what influences the roll of the die; at least in the GameCube versions of the game. only in Mario Party 4, i am always able to get the number on the die that i want to get; at least when it comes to moving across the board. maybe its just me or dumb luck or whatever you want to call it.
I would like a video on what impacts the stupidity of the CPU players in Mario Party. at times they get good rolls, but always make very poor choices; like using a magic lamp to go after the star when they do not even have enough coins to collect the star. why would a CPU player set to a difficulty of hard do such a thing?
I never really paid attention to the fact that a RNG formula was used in Super Mario 64 for the movement of the bad guys and coins. but it doesn't matter to me that much since i have been playing Super Mario games for so long that i can play a few of them without even looking at the screen. unfortunately, i am only able to do that with a few of the game-boy games as well as Super Mario 64 (N64 version only). in order to so so, i have to memorize not only the starting position of Mario, but also the starting positions of the different bad guys (off screen and on screen, their speeds, and their possible directions in reference to where Mario is, where he moves, and how fast he moves. i have done so out of boredom. unfortunately, i can only do this with 40% of the game. i know that there are others out there that can probably do the same. its a good thing that Animal Crossing stopped by to save us all...LMAO
a lot of us are ACNH nuts. unfortunately i am taking a break. (looking for work (damn it)) and i need some people to visit my island. its not the same if no one can visit you a few times a week.
is Tom Nook the crook finally going to be a fighter? LMAO (i know some of us want our bells back so why not beat the bells out of him) or maybe our own animal crossing characters be ready to fight? lol
for all we know we might get another character from Banjo-Kazooie. it would be nice to have another way for Banjo and Kazooie to save the day.
it would be interesting to see Lego Mario join the fun. he goes well with the new minecraft fighters as well as all the others.
this reminds me, i have to check up on my village from my GameCube. i have a few villages; one of them hasn't been touched since week one of the game.
at one point i just created as many towns i could with the intention of every town having a different fruit. also, i was trying to see if i could get two or more identical town. and, i did with the exception of their native fruit.
now to check up all of my old villages that are decades old and yes i cheated on some of these villages. since the game clock years stops at December 31st 2030 it will always reset to 2030 once you startup the game again after new years of January 2031.
its odd to see a game end on January st 2031 and start back up on December 31st 2031 even after it being started up on the 2nd of 2031. the in game clock keeps going on and on and on, but always resets to the last day apon startup.
has anyone here tried leaving their GameCube on all year or more to see if it will make it to 2032? or are we all smart enough not to over work the game console.
for all know there is a geek out there that modded the game so that you can set the in game clock past 2030. for all i know there is an action replay code that will allow up to set the date all the way up to 2130 and beyond. i wounder how much weeds there would be after 1000+ or even 1000+ years.
and how would all the animals react to that many years of abandonment? too bad it maxes out around 18 years. 2002 through 2030. (plus the first day of 2031 unless you want to leave your system on all day and all night without exiting to save your game progress)
I like the new button for Nintendo Switch online. its too bad that it cannot be disabled apon user request. or better yet, have the ability to customize what buttons are shown at at the bottom of the screen as well as the order that they are in.
in terms of the button for Nintendo Switch Online; Nintendo should remove the secondary short-cuts for the NES and SNES libraries of games so that won't have duplicate short-cuts for these apps. an option for that would be nice.
I would have to say the best way to play super Mario bros these days is through Legos.
earlier today i found storage containers that look like and act like giant Legos. just imagine playing with the Super Mario Legos inside of a giant Lego. to bad the giant Legos to not have an optional converter piece so that you can attach the normal Legos to the bottom of the different sized Lego storage containers. it would be the best way to store the Lego sets when we want to put them away without the need to take apart a set for if we do not have any room for putting them away.
why would some one put all of the different variants of Super Mario Bros. together that way? i hope his reason for leaving out some of the variants of the game was because it was too much of a nightmare finding them all and loading them up at the same time to the point where they are all in sync with each other; give or a take a fraction of a second or two.
@Desrever you are part of the problem, but most of us are; we can't help it if we are fans of the Super Mario franchise. thankfully some people have creative outlets to stop them from looking like a crazy person or going too far. (example: the video that we just saw)
right now i have a collection of the Super Mario Legos. at times it growing growing. but at least they are a great way to decorate my place. besides, i find putting Lego sets together relaxing. i just wish there were more sets.
i also would like improvements on current ones. for example, the "Toad’s Treasure Hunt Expansion Set" is nice; however i would like it so that the mushroom house were more than just cut-outs. it would be nice to have the entire house. if we could build them in full, as well as have additional color choices it would allow us to expand are creativity even further and have even more detailed Lego Super Mario courses. i can't wait to get my hands on the 2021 expansion sets.
now that the services for the original are being terminated, Nintendo now has another reason or two to add more features to Super Mario Maker 2 for the Nintendo Switch...
it seems as though we need a fix for a fix: "If the problem was already happening, the collected fruit record will unfortunately not be adjusted. Once the update is downloaded, the bug will be fixed by going back to the date with no fruits recorded and collecting a fruit."...lol i don't want to relive a day just for a piece of fruit....
now we need update version 2 for Pikmin 3 deluxe; the update that turns the game into the full Pikmin trilogy.
not this again... i think some of these guys would have a better chance at getting a job at Nintendo than winning all of these lawsuits.
some of these guys should try to figure out a way to fix the issue themselves instead of spending all of their time complaining. a lot of us are stuck inside due to COVID-19. creating a fix for the joy-cons instead of complaining would be a better use of their time.
then when they find a fix they can charge people to implement it or possible get money from Nintendo for finding a fix so that there will be more defective units.
i thought that the island transfer feature already existed. i just used it two weeks ago. i guess they decided to make an app to make it easier. as well as adding additional options to the feature.

@LinktotheFuture
i Know it does, but still my mind works the same for both competitive and non-competitive Tetris. either way, i haven't played Tetris in years.
Re: Tetris Players Have Discovered A New Technique, And It's Sending High Scores Into Orbit
this article should have been published years before the pandemic. playing Tetris is a lot easier than this article makes it sound. if you want to get a high score on Tetris, all you need to do is clear your mind. when playing this game, it is best not to think, because doing so just makes you mess up regardless of the system that you are playing on. (or is that just me and how my mind works when playing this game?)

i noticed what influences the roll of the die; at least in the GameCube versions of the game. only in Mario Party 4, i am always able to get the number on the die that i want to get; at least when it comes to moving across the board. maybe its just me or dumb luck or whatever you want to call it.
Re: Sephiroth From Final Fantasy VII Joins Super Smash Bros. Ultimate This Month
Mario and the others should team up with the others and kick the guy's ass over the cliff and into a black-hole...
Re: The Next Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Fighter Will Be Revealed During The Game Awards
@daisygurl
a lot of us are ACNH nuts. unfortunately i am taking a break. (looking for work (damn it)) and i need some people to visit my island. its not the same if no one can visit you a few times a week.
Re: The Next Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Fighter Will Be Revealed During The Game Awards
is Tom Nook the crook finally going to be a fighter? LMAO (i know some of us want our bells back so why not beat the bells out of him) or maybe our own animal crossing characters be ready to fight? lol
for all we know we might get another character from Banjo-Kazooie. it would be nice to have another way for Banjo and Kazooie to save the day.
it would be interesting to see Lego Mario join the fun. he goes well with the new minecraft fighters as well as all the others.
Re: Feature: 10 Years Later, We Return To Our Abandoned Animal Crossing: Wild World Village
this reminds me, i have to check up on my village from my GameCube. i have a few villages; one of them hasn't been touched since week one of the game.
at one point i just created as many towns i could with the intention of every town having a different fruit. also, i was trying to see if i could get two or more identical town. and, i did with the exception of their native fruit.
now to check up all of my old villages that are decades old and yes i cheated on some of these villages. since the game clock years stops at December 31st 2030 it will always reset to 2030 once you startup the game again after new years of January 2031.
its odd to see a game end on January st 2031 and start back up on December 31st 2031 even after it being started up on the 2nd of 2031. the in game clock keeps going on and on and on, but always resets to the last day apon startup.
has anyone here tried leaving their GameCube on all year or more to see if it will make it to 2032? or are we all smart enough not to over work the game console.
for all know there is a geek out there that modded the game so that you can set the in game clock past 2030. for all i know there is an action replay code that will allow up to set the date all the way up to 2130 and beyond. i wounder how much weeds there would be after 1000+ or even 1000+ years.
and how would all the animals react to that many years of abandonment? too bad it maxes out around 18 years. 2002 through 2030. (plus the first day of 2031 unless you want to leave your system on all day and all night without exiting to save your game progress)
Re: Random: The NSO Icon On The Switch Home Menu Is Driving Some Users Crazy
I like the new button for Nintendo Switch online. its too bad that it cannot be disabled apon user request. or better yet, have the ability to customize what buttons are shown at at the bottom of the screen as well as the order that they are in.
in terms of the button for Nintendo Switch Online; Nintendo should remove the secondary short-cuts for the NES and SNES libraries of games so that won't have duplicate short-cuts for these apps. an option for that would be nice.
Re: A "Premium" Set Of Poké Ball Replicas Launches Next Year
they are only worth the the $100.00 if they can actually catch Pokemon....lol
Re: Feature: What's The Best Way To Play Super Mario Bros. In 2020?
I would have to say the best way to play super Mario bros these days is through Legos.
earlier today i found storage containers that look like and act like giant Legos. just imagine playing with the Super Mario Legos inside of a giant Lego. to bad the giant Legos to not have an optional converter piece so that you can attach the normal Legos to the bottom of the different sized Lego storage containers. it would be the best way to store the Lego sets when we want to put them away without the need to take apart a set for if we do not have any room for putting them away.

my second choice would be the animal crossing version of the game on the GameCube.
Re: Random: Turns Out Nintendo Might Be Right, You Can Have Too Much Super Mario Bros.
why would some one put all of the different variants of Super Mario Bros. together that way? i hope his reason for leaving out some of the variants of the game was because it was too much of a nightmare finding them all and loading them up at the same time to the point where they are all in sync with each other; give or a take a fraction of a second or two.
Re: Super Mario Maker Online Services To Be Terminated, Will Soon Be Removed From Sale
now that the services for the original are being terminated, Nintendo now has another reason or two to add more features to Super Mario Maker 2 for the Nintendo Switch...
Re: Pikmin 3 Deluxe Updated To Version 1.1.0, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
it seems as though we need a fix for a fix: "If the problem was already happening, the collected fruit record will unfortunately not be adjusted.
Re: Nintendo Is Facing Another Class Action Lawsuit For Joy-Con Drift
not this again... i think some of these guys would have a better chance at getting a job at Nintendo than winning all of these lawsuits.
some of these guys should try to figure out a way to fix the issue themselves instead of spending all of their time complaining. a lot of us are stuck inside due to COVID-19. creating a fix for the joy-cons instead of complaining would be a better use of their time.
then when they find a fix they can charge people to implement it or possible get money from Nintendo for finding a fix so that there will be more defective units.
Re: Nintendo Reveals Even More LEGO Super Mario Sets And Character Packs For 2021
Now to get a blue pipe, a red pipe, and an orange pipe. and maybe a way to change the starting action for each of the different colored pipes.
Its nice to see one of Bowser's children/minions make an appearance. i wonder which one will be next. and when will Luigi join in, if ever?
Re: Animal Crossing Island Transfer App Launches On Switch This Week, Here's How It Works
i thought that the island transfer feature already existed. i just used it two weeks ago. i guess they decided to make an app to make it easier. as well as adding additional options to the feature.
