eBay is not trying to stop scalpers. They are trying to stop pre-orders more than 30 days out. The reason has nothing to do with nobility, they LOVE scalpers because eBay gets like 10% of every sale. They WANT it to go for big $$.

The only thing they don't like here is that if a customer doesn't get a shipment within 30 days they can open a case and it gives eBay headaches. Of course, no one will get their snes mini in 30 days if they order today.

All eBay is really saying is, wait a bit before you supply the demand.

I'd be interested in a straight SNES one of these since it's so much cheaper than something like Retron 5. I borrowed my friend's but all I use it for is SFC carts + english patches.

only thing better would be if they could make this like game genie so I could play patched SFC carts through it on my real SNES.

So much for the 17 snes mini's I was going to give my "nephew" for his "birthday"...

Animation looks good. But if they stick to that feaux-maturity (like BG&E2) you can count me out.

Hey Nintendo, since I can' buy a snes mini anywhere, can you dump the Starfox 2 rom for me?

So help me out here... if Ancel had the only copy, but this other famous developer dumped AN released it...is this like shareware now? I mean, ROM dump sharing is usually illegal but is this being given to the community by the company that owns it?

Really weird to see a high profile person "release" a rom, but I would love to play this if it's legal. They could kickstart to complete it and make carts...

I have a bunch of PC games but not a comfortable way to play them. this would provide that. not really different than if it was a shield tablet which I never bought for just that purpose, but a shield with Zelda may intrigue more people

@Alikan I'm the reverse. Always found Kirby controls clunky and slow and I probably wasn't that good at it either. Beat it on Gameboy and just couldn't get into it anywhere else ever again. So glad there is a variety of games.

@Caryslan haha. depends who you ask, i guess. People who argue for New Challengers say exactly what you just said. People who argue for SF2: Turbo like it best because it is faster/tighter gameplay. I'm not good enough at either to really judge, but that is general consensus. Of course, that's all opinion. Personally, I just don't like Cammy so I take the Turbo without her.

I figured it out. People have misjudged you because you (and ALL of us) were negative about the way Nintendo treated the Wii U and lackluster releases like Star Fox ZERO. Then, you were negative (like SOME of us) when the Switch announcements were made and had nothing major to sell besides upgraded waggle and a wii U port (imho).
However, because you post so frequently, it sounded like all negativity when people who actually read ALL of your posts would find that you are actually very POSITIVE about Nintendo AND the future of the Switch, you're just down on ports and stock shortages. um, most of us are! haha

how'd I do? On the whole, you share negatives and positives, post frequently, and nearly always with respect.
as for me? I'm pumped for Star Fox 2, but I would cut both Kirby games. They are garbage. And I would add DKC2 at the very least, Chronotrigger, and Megaman X2 or X3. Not to mention $10 more for 9 less games...

Not sure I'll get one because I have carts or VC of almost everything here, but that StarFox 2... old is new again gives me retro hope for other things like Seiken Densetsu III.

They really need to make it play actual carts too, and include VC style future updates for more games.... then I would pay $200

I get what you're saying about Star Fox looking bad, but I don't have to look on youtube as I have the cart. I always think "it sure has aged" and then get sucked in anyway and play it all through.

Star Fox 2 is the most exciting because it's unreleased. I have carts of almost everything else here. Had Earthbound and sold it and got the Wii U download. So hard to be too hyped about games I already have.... but Star Fox 2? I do not have. aged poorly or not, it's new star fox and I still love the SNES one best.

Wish they would release a collectible cart of this... this is the only game I don't have already but do want from SNES Mini. Imagine it on a cart in my actual SNES.... .droool.......

Japan got nerfed. The lesser version of Street Fighter II and no Earthbound or Castlevania IV??? Who agreed to that? lol

On the whole, this is awesome. But I have most of these games, a few more I don't want anyway (Kirby, meh) and the remainder aren't worht $80. Hm... but it's so cool!

Is Star Fox 2 and another emulated version of Earthbound worth $80??? I have carts for most of these and Earthbound on Wii U... (sold that cart)

I get that Europeans like the idea that they can one-up the U.S. on something... but this is mostly nostalgia. I have the NA one and love it and because it's the one I remember i could care less about form factor. I want one that matches those greatest gaming memories of my life.

The colorful controller on the other hand.... Europe/Japan had that right all the way. NA blew it with purple/grey buttons

whatever it is... i do like the quote "playing the game completes the game". That's what's so unique about this art-form we enjoy. Every artist feels it. They don't just paint to paint, they want someone to experience their painting, and games allows it like no other medium. (see also: LoZ:BotW)

Bro, seriously...... it was not just station wagons - our minivan had it too! 80's nostalgia. That's why I think it's their version of NES mini.

IMHO, Snes is not even in twilight yet. Sure they aren't making new games, but I haven't even caught up on all the games they DID make yet. Constantly finding more gems. I imagine I'll be doing the same with my 3ds for years to come.

Don't care about Cappu. Where is Luigi?

Ancel once said they hadn't made the sequel because the tech didn't exist yet. Will be VERY interesting to see what he thinks couldn't be done even 5 years ago. And certainly seems to leave Switch out if he was waiting for the bleeding edge.

Then again, between the lack of Jade and the addition of gratuitous cleavage and "look-at-me-I-learned-a-bad-word!" script.... this seems like a pass anyway. I would have bought a Switch for it, now I'll buy one for Prime 4!

Is this considered same series as Mario and Luigi Dream Team? I only played this for a few minutes, couldn't get into Inside Story, and only went for Dream Team because it was a pack-in with my Year of Luigi 3ds (yes, Luigi is the best!)
I think I passed cuz they made Luigi look stupid, but I loved Dream Team so .... should I play this and why? lol

E3 saved. Two Metroid games is great. No Wii U ports wasting spotlight. After the disappointment of the "mature" (see also: immature) BG&E2, Nintendo really saved the week!

Nothing has touched Yoshi's Island, but nothing has been as bad as Yoshi's story either. So if this is on part with New Island or Wooly World it is at least worth playing.

Cross-platform is brilliant.

Take this ANYWHERE??? It's one of the most crazy fun pick up and play / sit down and master games ever. i doubted it until i played it at my buddy's house.

@PlywoodStick for me it's just that there is already so much of that out there. you don't mind it, I do, whatever. but BG&E was so carefully crafted and this just feels like a lazy marketing ploy. "what do kids like these days? boobs and swears? cool. let's make the sequel have lots of those." people can get that if they want it without putting it into BG&E2.

Even moreso, it just is a really different note from the original game so even people who don't mind that stuff feel like they wanted more of that beauty from the first game and instead it's been replaced. jmho.

agreed. very disappointing. felt nothing like the poetic beauty of the original game. felt more like any other run of the mill ubisoft junk. why would Ancel do this to his passion project? ubisoft thinks swearing sells. just look at the guy that dropped the f-bomb in the conference and then smiled as he waited for applause. why? for being unprofessional? for discovering a bad word his mom doesn't want him to say? i mean come on, BG&E was art. This? this is disappointing.

I'm afraid they already went there. Gratuitous cleavage, a dozen or so f-bombs... I mean that is lowest common denominator stuff and just lazy script writing. 15 years and all they came up with was boobs and "these mf's better f'in not mess with me. f yeah!"

Really disappointing. Would have bought a Switch for this.

Everyone has a chose with marketing speak: either

"Nintendo is too weak and can't support our full game"
OR
"Nintendo is the most powerful portable ever"

Obviously they are trying to give a positive spin because devs really DO like the Switch. It's just tough to max "teh grafix" and also support Switch. Same old Nintendo story. But "play anywhere" is a big deal for the system and in most cases I would sacrifice graphics for it.

Metroid would be great but doesn't seem to be a system seller despite almost always being amazing. I would buy a switch for something as good as Metroid Prime or Super Metroid.

Also, I would buy a switch for BEYOND GOOD & EVIL 2.
