After forgetting I had one in the basket and then losing out, and searching for over an hour last night including all the smythstoys stores I've managed to snag one from Nintendo UK, 23 minutes after receiving their email...phew

Love Nintendo's hardware/software, it's business model however leaves me feeling genuinely nauseous. Poison.

I have a pre-order with Game at £79.99 but don't have much faith in them to match prices or actually deliver the order, so tried to jump to Nintendo but they've all gone. Will keep an eye on Amazon as I trust them the most.

Nintendo have the right idea limiting to 1 per person, if all the others did the same amazon,game etc it would surely make the ebayers listings much less

Golly, sold out in 25 minutes. My friend went to Game today, and apparently they've had 33,000 preorders in 24 hours.

Out of stock in less than an hour. Just when I had given up on refreshing the page... What a joke.

@BionicDodo I've got a pre-order with Game too. Got it in about half an hour after it went live. Do they have a bad track record with pre-orders? I know they're not well regarded - just went for it as it was the first one.

@TJM Don't really know as I've never pre-ordered from them. My friend ordered a Switch for collection on release day and that worked out for him. I mostly don't have faith that they'll drop the price to match if others go down to £69.99. Still, £80 is better than the £200 you'll pay for it from eBay or CEX.

@TJM I've pre-ordered 5/6 games with Game before and never had any issues, always turned up as expected on morning of release, hopefully they're the same with consoles. Charging more than Nintendo for it though is sneaky, shame on them

Finally I got it ordered through Nintendo and a tenner cheaper than Game and with less of the hassle I spent last night with game.
Fingers crossed they will deliver.

I was at the sorting office to pick up a game checked my emails and it was live website wouldn't load on pc or phone 📱 so went to my gmail clicked the link to take me straight to it and managed to snag one. I now have one game pre-order and one Nintendo store one wee hey 😁

There now selling like hot cakes 🎂 on the U.K eBay store for over double the price it's the people that are willing to pay it that are part of the problem unfortunately.

@G0dlike They should be a second wave and hopefully you get one. I never ordered a Nes mini and regretted it once they shot up in price and am not willing to pay those scalper prices on EBay.

@jswhitfield8 I wish that was the case, but one retailer said to me that dropping the price is not going to happen because the product costs them to buy it from Nintendo whereas Nintendo can price it lower as they aren't buying it from themselves.

Remember, everyone who "really" wants this product will get it says Nintendo. I sincerely hope that's true, but if preorders are gone for the UK in under an hour I sincerely doubt a "significant" increase in stock means much on the grand scheme of things.

Yeah, missed out on the NES mini, even though I managed to get 1, as the day it was released realised hadn't got anything for the brother in law for his birthday. Thought it would be a nice gesture and I'd just pick one up when they came back in stock.......@wizzgamer

For those who bought one from nintendo store we could estimate how many they got by last 3 digits of our order numbers... mine was 638 ordered at 3.33pm.

They must have got 50 at least surely?
