So what I’m reading is buy this on my series x.

I’d just like to know where to buy that white and grey Mario wallpaper.

@Kiyata I would have pointed out the pikmin ports. They are not great. But TTYD looks better. Anyways nintendo just seems to get away with lots of not so great ports but their fans always seem ready to cast stones at third parties. I personally don’t get it.

“Good enough” the switch mantra on all Nintendo first party or second party games. “Lazy developers” reserved for everyone else.

If it isn’t backward compatible then the port situation is going to be even worse than what’s on the switch.

This is 2023. 2024 when the sept h 2 comes out. I can’t believe we are going to give Nintendo a pass on backward compatibility because we all think Nintendo is our friend. That’s insane. We still don’t have proper online that doesn’t lag. I can’t voice chat. I can’t message. I have to pay for cloud saves. Both Xbox and PlayStation have figured this put. Nintendo should have to as well.

I use a AV receiver but I still only have so many inputs. If Nintendo thinks I’m committing two inputs to switch one and switch two they are crazy.

Surely this article is just a way to cause a firestorm of the thread section.

@AlexHarford my wife likes Mario Kart 64 better than Mario Kart 8 because she finds the added course sideline graphics “distracting.”

@ObsidianEleven for years I defended the legacy editions. There aren’t many games on the switch which are 1080p 60fps. Even Nintendo struggles to provide that. Sure each game was just a roster update. Well that’s what sports games are. If you cared only about game play you could buy a new version every four years or so. That’s how incremental the advancements are. Anyways it would have been really interesting to see what people said if it ran sub 1080p with 30fps.

Since the switch release this sites comment section told me I was a graphic whore for thinking 720p games weren’t “good enough”. Happy to see it took a whole generation to finally get people on board.

I just don’t understand why there isn’t any new salmon run stages. I’m happy for the old ones. They should all be ported over. But can they make a couple or few new ones?

@larryisaman they recently figured out that their customers are willing to pay for ports of last generation games at full price. They could port all the switch games at full price. That’s a good reason not to include backward compatibility.

@psyraven76 I felt ripped off paying full price for the first one so I am waiting for a deep discount despite the fact the first game is a top three switch game in my opinion.

Why can’t I play old school doom with system link support.

I hope that the next systems secondary option isn’t a lite but a tv only option. I have a lan set up and three of my switches are never undocked. Plus I’d rather not deal with an internal battery that could break and a hard drive would be cheaper than a flash card.

@SalvorHardin consolidation has been happening for years. Where have you been. It’s just feels more obvious now as we see items exclusive to different services.

@nintendoknife no one said PlayStation sucks. However everyone seems to think competition is good for business yet then lie to themselves that PlayStation has any competition. All this does is lets the scales balance a bit.

@Bolt_Strike perhaps the ftc or other parties would have an issue if Xbox was more competitive. They are a distant third. Who’s to say if they ever get in a three way tie that the regulators won’t look at an acquisition very differently. It’s as if the industry is just content with PlayStation being number 1 forever.

I will buy cod day one on whatever Nintendo system they release it on.

Why isn’t this just free DLC to the first game and then sell a deluxe version at retail.

The problem on the new Xbox and PlayStation games is the ssd cost. It was one thing having big file sizes on an Xbox one where it was cheap to add an external drive. But without cheap storage of course PlayStation and Xbox fans are worried about large games.

@Jeronan I just don’t understand why they can’t at the very least port over all of the splatoon 2 salmon run maps. Instead I have to jump between games. That’s silly.

Anyways since I’ve already showed my allegiance by clicking and commenting I’ll just point out how many “news” articles there has been on this site in the last month. 221!!!!! Two hundred and twenty one. What the fork. Based on how many articles this site has pumped out you would think the Nintendo switch is going to fall off a cliff with no news once zelda is done being talked about. How about IGN NVC. They have a weekly Nintendo podcast which has for 7 consecutive weeks somehow managed to make tears of the kingdom their exclusive talking point. I’m almost about to sell my soul for any new content. Call me up and we can make a deal.

I double posted this to any other tears thread. But damn it I shouldn’t feel guilty. This site has had no problem reposting Zelda over and over for a month now.

Every podcast. Every article. Tears of the kingdom. Is there literally anything else that nintendo sites and podcasts could comment on. Last night I had to find some retro neo geo podcast to regain sanity.

1 salmon run stage. Love the slow drip of stages.

@DarkFighter I have given up on the game. Switch 2 will be out before this thing gets attention which means splatoon 4. Personally I will never buy a service based game from Nintendo again until all the content has dropped and I can decide if it’s actually of value. To me this has been treated as poorly as any of the Mario sports games.

@DarkFighter I have four copies of this game for lan parties. What a massive disappointment. How hard is it to bring forward part 2s maps. That’s the least they could do.

So they are reducing the price of the game now?

@jbarry25 this is what I want. Port the good old call of duties. But Microsoft promised the new games. That’s where I don’t even believe their claims are possible.

@Il_Nintenditore I actually agree. I love playing salmon run local wireless. But why can’t we play turf war against bots.

@N-MCMXCIX I never had a problem finding a game in the Wii u lobbies.

If it’s cross platform and the switch can’t handle the frame rate then the switch players will be at a disadvantage. I don’t think that’s a better option.

@ComfyAko please define a non generic shooter. Call of duty basically monopolized the market. Unless you’re saying all fps are generic.
