I’m surprised Nintendo won’t let us buy and play them on the actual Nintendo switch.

Different controls just for the sake of being different doesn’t make a good game. Nintendo went from a b buttons on nes to now we have two screens and a million buttons. It was painful. Absolutely painful.

@westman98 princess leach desperately needs a switch 2 edition. It looks terrible.

@Dev-N some of us weren’t delighted. You’re making it out like it was only critics that thought this movie wasn’t well done.

@HalBailman I don’t understand the concept of cozy game as a thing. Then again my first video game was Pac-Man, donkey Kong and super mario bros. There’s nothing cozy or hand holding about those games and yet here I am.

I’m a die hard Nintendo fan. I loved the wizard. Liked the first Mario movie. Hated the sequel. It was just a whole bunch of three minute segments stitched together. I can’t even remember what I watched.

Wish they would go back and reprice games like Mario tennis fever, welcome tour, and whatever else isn’t selling at their launch prices.

Should have been an anime wind waker style.

I didn’t buy wonder dlc so I could watch this.

Btw it was the same dollar to minute of entertainment equation.

@Res462 the camera feature I was told is what makes Nintendo unique when they unveiled this system. I wasn’t a true fan for comparing it to Xbox connect. Are you saying you’re not a true fan either. A sane person on this site.

How’s Mario tennis selling?

My kids significantly liked Mario run more than these yoshi and Kirby games. I wish we would have gotten a switch version. Sure it would be simplistic but it would suit that same demographic.

@electrolite77 perhaps he could have articulated himself better. But as an aces owner I would have much preferred a basketball, baseball, hockey or football game. I also think that yes some people bought it but the sad numbers indicate that there maybe more people like me who have a been there done that time to do something new if you want my $70s vibe.

Has anyone installed one of the games yet. I like how all my hamster arcade archives and neo geo archieves are at the top of my alphabetical order game list. Will this bump to C and I have random games in between?

So once again when Nintendo can do it this site says resolution is impottant and it matters. The rest of the time when the switch isn’t powerful enough to get there then those that complain are not real gamers and pixel peepers. Get over it. Resolution and frame rates always matter.

@JohnnyMind I’ve only seen the Nintendo ones once on sale and I regret not buying every one including urban champion.

Is this the same people from the same site who throw money at Nintendo and justify all of their pricing?

@NorrinRadd Xbox had a backward compatibility team. I’m sure they all got paid. I explained how it can still be profitable. People who didn’t buy the game previously may now. Plus it’s good customer support.

@NintendoWife if you don’t think Xbox backward compatibility is the way to go you are beyond a Nintendo fan.

Xbox could have been wrong about heavily emphasizing AAA games and gamepass. That doesn’t mean that they were wrong about free updates to previous generations games. No ones talking free content. We’re talking free fps and resolution upgrades which are practically free to do.

Anyways I’ve explained how this company has made a sale from me while Nintendo has lost a sale from me. You can accept that or not.

@NintendoWife upgrade the games for free. At least a resolution boost and fps. Then people will be happy.

I don’t care about the updated content. And as far as I’m concerned that content is locked behind what most of us really want (updated resolution and fps). So pass.

Xbox as bad as they are set the standard. Nintendo should adopt it

@NintendoWife people like me who haven’t bought the game and wouldn’t buy the game my buy the game now. I’m likely a candidate.

Where as I did not buy the Kirby game because the only way to get the visual upgrade was to buy the dlc. That’s insane. So I passed.

I think it’s worse for Nintendo first party games because their sales are brutal. So buying an old game hurts.

@Pillowpants there’s a large portion of people who buy systems to annually play fifa and cod. FIFA runs at 60fps on ps5 and they have cod. People will continue to buy PlayStation.

I guess we can’t update the older games to 4k because no one will play the newer game. MK8 the biggest loser in this.

My only hope is ea (one of the biggest gaming companies) got their development kits late and that’s why fifa is such a mess.

Where are the upgrades. That’s what we’re looking for. Upgrades.

This is how we will all buy our systems in the future when all games are digital and there’s no reason for stores to carry systems if they don’t make money off games.

Everyone here loves digital foundry when they say something nice about a game on their favourite system. Then they say something negative and digital foundry is a trash graphics whore company pixel peeping who care about graphics over gameplay.

Should have had a speed option like the old street fighter turbo games. Maybe the Wii u was too slow but this is really fast.

If a game was the best thing you ever experienced but was only two hours…. Then would the price matter?

@electrolite77 I don’t know how you can be so relaxed about buying a new system and then have games coming out for that system which are 30fps meanwhile not celebrating this.

@The_Nintendo_Pedant yes this is the problem. I just want to play the new Mario and dks so here I am. Even though there has been nothing that has convinced me that this is actually the upgrade that my wallet can justify.

@The_Nintendo_Pedant I felt the system was advertised with 120fps, 4k and hdr. And here we are playing most games sub 4k, sub 60fps and without hdr. If it is a pro. It’s for switch 1 games. But switch 2 games…. Yikes.

@The_Nintendo_Pedant I agree but that was 5 years ago. Expectations for the rest of the system has changed.

@anoyonmus I think a lot of people were expecting series S performance with DLSS. I don’t think expecting games like fifa to be 60fps is a big expectation.

There should be a pro model if this is what we’re doing. Put the pro right beside the Xbox and Sony portable.

@Darthmoogle I grew up in the nes era on a 14 inch black and white tv. A 14 inch black and white hides a lot of imperfections. My 98 inch tv showcases any imperfections. It’s just a different world.

Btw the 16 bit era was all about comparing graphics. Blast processing from Genesis. Neo geo was bigger badder better. There definitely was a graphics focus then.

@BTB20 Nintendos first party games run at 60fps at sub 4k.

More 4K 30fps goodness. I never thought they would be able to get Pac-Man in 4k. I’m so amazed I don’t even care about the frame rate.

I thought frames don’t matter. Oh wait 120 fps!!! Yes count me in. But I thought frames don’t matter?

@Rentaro it’s at the expense of people who like 60fps. So one side wins and one side loses.

@OldGamer999 we should aim for 24fps. That’s what movies are filmed at. Anything more is insane. We need things cinematic.

@OrtadragoonX so the system is made for 40 year olds not for kids anymore? Interesting. Then why are the games sooooooo easy in comparison to when we were kids.
