Re: Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2 Bundle Confirmed For Switch, Launching October

@Pipulitoch I didn’t expect a new game but I thought maybe more than a port. Galaxy more like the Metroid prime remastered version. But that would take work. This was essentially a port that they get to sell you a book for. You don’t need to take business in uni. Just follow Nintendo long enough and you can figure this all out in your daily life.

@Darthmoogle that’s insane. All that happened is people complained in their own echo chamber. Did anyone call the company and personally talk to someone. That is literally the only way these companies figure out what customers want. Surely they couldn’t use ai to search the comments and read the room.

@AussieMcBucket definitely getting more paid upgrades hidden behind dlc. The real question is will there be free upgrades. I’m guessing no Nintendo selects. No free upgrades. We want your monies. All of it till you’re living on the street where the portability comes in real handy.

@electrolite77 again this portable costs the same as ps5 digital in Canada. And in any world this thing costs more than a series S. But comes with half the storage so add that and a pro controller and this isn’t exactly cheap. (The fact the old sd cards don’t work is a real crusher)

Perhaps wwe makes it work because there’s less wrestlers in a ring at any time then there are basketball players on a court.

@Stegiand I feel like with this system people are always going to be pointing to cyberpunk and or street fighter 6. No different than the Witcher 3 miracle port on switch. Just because one company manages to do it well doesn’t mean every company will be able to. The better metric is what’s happening generally across the board. And well that’s 1440p switch one games. So good luck with anything actually next gen.

@OpheliaDynamight sorry. You’re right I was being hostile. On this site if you’re unhappy with the current state of Nintendo you it’s an either a you problem or you’re not a “real” fan or a troll. I’ve spent tens of thousands of dollars on Nintendo and I am frustrated by their fan base who is super protective of their favourite company. Spoiler alert it’s my favourite company too. I’m just not happy with a lot of the modern Nintendo era. Sorry for taking it out on you.

@Oldstalk there’s always a price to time ratio even if you think it’s art. I mean Nintendo didn’t package Kirby dlc as a new Kirby. According to some fans they should because if it’s 2-3 hours but $80 sure why the heck not. I mean that’s a pretty luxurious way of thinking. But that’s how much a sporting event is and the same length. Nintendo games for now on they should be 2-3 hours and $80 each. Winning strategy.

@OpheliaDynamight did Nintendo send you a list of all the employees that made the dlc. For all I know it’s ten people. But I didn’t buy it because I’m price conscious so didn’t see the credits. Surely you spent your hard earned money to support them in this worthy endeavour so surely you spent the two hours to get to the credits. How many people exactly?

Re: Poll: Three Months In, How Would You Rate Switch 2's Library So Far?

the 64 could have simply launched with Mario 64 and that still would blow away the entire switch 2 line up until Christmas. Mario 64 was easily the most impactful new 3d game at the time.... compare that to Mario kart world where people are actively loading up 8 or dk where people are complaining odyssey was better. That is a huge difference.

Super Nintendo had Super Mario world, Pilot Wings and F zero. I can't express how badly I wanted to play those games that I actively looked for a Japanese import store which was not easy to find in the 90s with no internet.

Gamecube and Wii U launch were both pretty bad....

Switch one launch I am going to argue was still better because BOTW was and is considered one of the best games ever made. Again MKW forgettable. After DK "when's the next Mario?" It isn't comparable. Yes BOTW was on Wii u as well but that was a painful death and we were all ready to move on.

So I have Super Nintendo as the best Nintendo launch. 64 as the second best and Dreamcast as THE BEST LAUNCH EVER. I remember good launches... this isn't it.
