Re: Hands On: Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild VR Made Us Want To Puke

shani

@dartmonkey I haven't tried it out myself, but your article seems a bit too subjective to me.
Everyone knows that every person reacts differently to VR. The same situation - especially one where the technology is lacking - can be sickness-inducing for one person and completely fine for the other.

Ignoring the latter - and it's actually more like a spectrum of possible experiences - gives the article a very one-sided perspective.
I for example never experienced any issues like that in VR, not even on the wildest games that made others nauseous, like a rollercoaster-like game on the technically lacklustre Oculus DK1. I'm fairly certain I could stomach BotW in VR without any problems as well.
But I would never go and claim that my experience applies to everyone like you did in your article.
So calling Labo VR a 'nausea-inducing failure' without taking all the possible perspectives into account is really poorly executed journalism.

@nessisonett I assume you're either joking or Astro Bot is literally the only VR game you ever played. 😆
There are tons of better VR games out there... especially on proper VR platforms like Oculus and Steam.

Re: Talking Point: What Does The Bungie Divorce From Activision Blizzard Mean For Nintendo?

shani

Well Diablo III is already on the Switch, so I wouldn't expect any other development in that regard.
But Heartstone - which is already on Android and iOS - would be an obvious and easy port.
Whereas Overwatch would be more elaborate port, but would absolutely make sense audience-wise. You can bet it would sell like how cakes on the Switch.

So I think these two titles could or rather should make their way to the Switch. But I don't think the Bungie separation has any effect on it.

Re: Guide: Nintendo Switch System Transfer: How To Transfer All Your Saves, Games, Profiles, And User Data

shani

While it's nice this process exists, it doesn't help most people who actually have to get a new Switch (because their old one was defective or got stolen).
Barely anyone is going to buy a new Switch if they still have their old one.
Only people who can't access their old system will buy a new one.
They should've considered this and offered a solution where you only have to log in to your profile on the new Switch and download everything from there.

Re: Reminder: Warframe PC To Nintendo Switch Account Migration Ends 15th January

shani

I don't want to migrate, I want to merge accounts. Why the separation?

Downloaded the game when it came out on Switch and played for a bit, but also have it on Steam.
I prefer the Switch version because of gyro aim and have never played it on PC, but might at some point since a friend of mine plays it a lot on Steam.

What's the point of transferring your profile if you want to play on both platforms?

Re: Feature: The Final Wii U Games We'd Like To See On Switch In 2019

shani

Nice to see that Affordable Space Adventures gets some well-deserved attention. It's truly one of the best, most unique and most memorable gaming experiences I've ever had.

It's really sad to see such a gem of gaming history rot away pretty much unnoticed by most gamers.
And it all could've been avoided if Nintendo would just let the Switch utilize its second screen!

Anyway, if we're taking about the ports:
Super Mario Maker, yes please! This game needs to be on the Switch ASAP!
Pikmin would also be a nice addition, unless they're already working on Pikmin 4 of course.
But WWHD & TPHD again? No thank you, there's no need for that. If they're going to do another remaster, it's gotta be SSHD anyway.

Re: Persona 5 Switch Rumours Intensify

shani

Oh come on now, we all know it's coming to Switch (I'm not even interested in this game). Just as everyone knew Fortnite was coming months before it's 'surprise' release.
Usually rumours are just baseless rumours that no one should believe in unless there's an official confirmation. But in some (rare) cases, it's just too obvious that this is part of their marketing strategy.
If you give people a few breadcrumbs (like that P5 character in Smash and now this IP adress thing), excitement builds up and spreads in the community by itself. That's just the best kind of marketing with zero costs.

@MrGawain Exclusives don't always stay exclusive for ever, see Rayman Legends, Yakuza 0, GTA V etc.
Also (from Atlus' standpoint, not mine): who cares what Sony or their hardcore fans think?
I don't Atlus gives a damn if they can sell millions of copies on the Switch. And tbh I don't think Sony would mind either. It's not like a late Switch release would take anything away from their PS4 sales.

Re: Netflix-Style Comic Subscription Service InkyPen Arrives Exclusively On Switch Next Week

shani

Finally!
I just hope other services like DC Universe will follow suit, although I'm aware that's probably wishful thinking for now.

@VR32X I strongly disagree. Reading comics digitally is way more comfortable. Scrolling through a whole comic without having to ever turn a page is a blessing.
Besides, printing on actual paper is unecological.

I used to read comics on paper as a child and I still have some printed issues, but generally that's just an outdated way to read comics.

Re: Review: Everspace - Stellar Edition - An Entertaining Roguelike Which Fuses FTL With Rogue Squadron

shani

I'm sorry, but after @NintendoLife's incomprehensibly lacklustre review of Starlink (not mentioning its terrible, game-breaking controls, likening it to No Man's Sky, which must be a joke) I can't trust this site's reviews anymore, at least not for space games.

I'm certainly not ready to waste another 40€ just because @NintendoLife can't tell a good space game from a bad one.
