"but if you're the kind of person that downloads every demo"
Why on earth would you do that to yourself? That sounds like torture on the slow & clunky eshop... and would also make the Switch menu pretty much unusable, long before reaching 2000 games.
Lol no thanks. Traditional upscaling is not a new thing, if we wanted that, we could've used it a long time ago. It only gets interesting with FSR 2.0 or DLSS 2.0, not only because the image quality is better than traditional upscaling but also because the performance is better too.
And with FSR 2.0 being backwards-compatible and not requiring dedicated AI cores (unlike DLSS), it would seem like a good fit for the Switch, except the Switch's GPU might not be strong enough (based on which are the oldest GPUs that are compatible with FSR 2.0).
Sakurai Thinks It's Probably Best To Forget About Him For A While... and then @nintendolife immediately goes and disrespects his wishes by publishing this article. 🙄🤦♂️
@Not_Soos It might work (dunno) but a regular stylus would lack that special feature of pressure-sensitivity, which their stylus achieves via a connection through the headphone jack.
@Silly_G Same for Nintendo's stylus of course, it doesn't connect to the headphone jack either.
I know there were several patches that fixed the game-breaking bugs for the PC version (prior to the Wii U launch), did they ever fix those issues on Wii U eventually?
Ok, but why would you NOT wanna have the percentage displayed at all times? That seems like an absolute no-brainer to me; I always want that displayed on any device.
I've been 'demanding' a full open-world remake of Skyward Sword for many years, now Nintendo really have to do it! Please...
@LXP8 I couldn't agree more! It was my all-time favourite LoZ game (before, it was Ocarina of Time) before BotW came out. Skyward Sword has so many great things going for it, the story, the world, the characters, the uniquely unpredictable (human-like!) sword fights with Ghirahim!
This game got way too much criticism because people weren't open to a new technology (motion-controls) and were to blind to see how much additional layers it adds. Imho it's one of the best video games ever created, the only thing it lacks are a truly open world and HD graphics.
580g is still pretty light, that's less than a MS Surface and significantly less than any gaming laptop.
Too bad they're using Intel chips, it would be really interesting to see it with AMD's most recent platforms, would certainly be faster, cooler, cheaper and overall more energy-efficient.
@SwitchVogel @Entrr_username Not really, since it's running in the cloud and not on the Switch itself.
@Snatcher Well that's no surprise, those outdated consoles just don't have the required performance. It runs fine on PC if you have the required hardware.
I'm sorry what? Put the ring in where? I can't imagine it fitting into the disc drive... did the daughter open up the Wii U and place the ring inside it?
I'll never understand why some people like to go backwards (= the whole retro hype).
There's a reason why we moved on from inferior tech that we were limited to in the past! Why would you willingly ignore progress and go back to outdated crap?
@King-X I don't know what successfully closed topic you're referring to. 🤷♂️
Actually, I've been saying that under every article about Genshin Impact I've read anywhere online. I've been telling people to not let this irrelevant nonsense distract them from just enjoying this beautiful game. I don't understand why people are so focussed on a tiny irrelevant aspect of this game. I actually had to google them find the gacha elements in this game, it's buried so deep inside the menu that you will never encounter it if you don't know about it.
I just find it really weird that everyone's bringing up this one tiny aspect whenever this game is discussed. Splatoon for example has the same random aspect when unlocking/rerolling slots yet I've never heard anyone complain or call Splatoon a 'gacha game'.
@King-X Who cares about the community? We're talking about the game itself, not about things happening around it.
Also that's a pretty weird argument to make regarding bonus characters.
I don't get why anyone would need other characters, they are all pretty generic - but if you're not satisfied with the free characters, then go ahead and pay money for the bonus ones.
That's your personal choice, not a valid reason to complain though.
It just seems like you're trying to force your personal perspective on everyone, because what you're saying clearly doesn't apply to everyone.
I fully agree with @Cynas, people are blowing the gacha element way out of proportion. You don't need it at all to play this game and even when you use it, it only makes a tiny portion of the game, it's not really relevant.
Besides you don't have to spend any real money on it, you get tons of in-game currency for free, dunno what @King-X is on about.
Why is everyone so hung-up on those bonus characters? I've been playing the game with the first 4 characters you get (including your own player) and I really don't see the need to switch them out, that's just a waste of time.
That said, if the game actually required you to spend money - which it doesn't - I don't see any problem with that. Botw cost around 60 Euros, so paying a similar amount for this game seems reasonable to me, even though it's not as exceptional as Botw of course.
Also, while this breach is a terrible thing, I'm surprised anyone would actually provide their real phone number, that's just dumb. 😂
If they should really make a Switch Pro, I would like them to make it like the Wii U, with a second screen in the controller. Otherwise they should just get rid of the screen altogether.
A 5/10 review and yet it takes center stage on the @Nintendolife page.
I don't get it, they do that quite often. What kind of journalistic principle is this, the worse a game is, the more attention you give it?
As an analogy: back in the age of print media, this kind of game would've been somewhere on the latter pages in a tiny section, not right on the cover of the magazine.
If the game is not good, it should be buried deep inside your page, not take the most prominent spot and get so much attention.
Nice, so they're finally bringing the price more in line with the cheap quality of this product... oh wait, no it still costs 40 Euros, way too expensive for this subpar controller.

Re: Talking Point: What Do You Name Link When You're Playing A Zelda Game?
dlink 45 or something like that. At least in Skyward Sword (or was it Twilight Princess?).
Re: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Temporarily Listed On Nintendo Website For $70 USD
Since then has the price alone been newsworthy?!
This is not news.
Re: Reminder: Splatoon 3's Next Splatfest Starts This Weekend - Which Team Will You Pick?
How are you including so many timezones yet leaving out all NA timezones except one? Not everyone lives in PST!
This post was not helpful at all.
Re: Random: People Are Getting Pretty Worried About Splatoon 3
That's not news, that's hearsay at best. Contrived nonsense at worst.
But I guess NL is just not a journalistic news site anymore. It's just baseless gossip.
