@NorrinRadd I thought by season one they were making more content in a season 2. Looking at forums it looks like future work on this project or the sequel has basically been canceled due to sales figures on other systems. So you are correct in saying that this is the complete game
Nope, story packs/season pass for single player games. Unfortunately this is a wait and see for me to begin with, i get that they are optional but thats just scummy to me.
@HalfAWorldAway I think a lot has to do with a self fulfilling prophecy. Lord of the rings is one of the larger ips, hence it probably gets a lot of clicks on this website. If the review or whatever article is written on this website gets a lot of views they are probably more likely to assume people want more info about the game in general. They just are giving the people what they want, and as a business that just makes more sense. I click on a cute cat video on YouTube, youtube gives me more cat videos. We did it to ourselves...
@Tyranexx not a huge fan of the art style, but what else would they do. It is still not going to stop me from playing a good game like The Adventures of Elliot when it comes out.
I mean as long as unit x cost is more than development costs they should be good either way. I think the problem is if a team broke even then they are basically done, as they either can't reinvest some of the gains into a new game development or afford to pay themselves enough out of the profit.
@Orwellian87 I put it on my wishlist as I thought it was a cool concept in a crowded genre. If it is super cheap ill give it a shot. I honestly forgot about it, because 3 games came out i wanted more.
@jfp yeah I agree, I dont buy physical games so key cards dont bother me. I'm more concerned if a game is good or not first. I dont mind them stating this as a fact, but to be the subheading is an odd choice.
@link3710 yeah, if we all know this then why do they do it. The prince of persia dlc is like 3 bucks right now. I dont believe there ips hold value because they dont believe it, why are nintendo first partygames always the same price? It creates a feeling that crap is might as well buy it cause a sale isnt coming anytime some
Went straight from ninja ragebound to this. I think I will enjoy this more, the combat system is more refined. The levels have some optional challenge rooms. Ragebound was pretty solid with a handful of secrets, but probably won't go back for hard mode. I think the one thing about ragebound i disliked is you kinda got most of your skills at about level 3 so the rest of the game seems similar.
I know I'm getting this but I do wonder if they are going to be adding things piece by piece like they did in Hollowknight. I enjoyed the first game but I only played it once, I dont think I'm going to play this over and over again with each update.
Just beat ninja gaiden ragebound, and tmnt shattered dimensions. Never played Teslagard and I liked the demo a long time ago might grab that, and Silksong (even if time has made excitement wane)
@nessisonett and that is the thing I personally dont like about Diablo. "The game doesn't really begin until you beat it" I would just want to play the story mode and move onto something else. This design choice annoys me, while some people like it. It is very rare for me to play and enjoy power creep games, or get to level 99 and hope you get good loot.
Yep this turned from a maybe i will buy into an instant no with this announcement. I understand this stuff is optional, I also find it optional in whether or not I want to support this.
Played a board game Thursday, Crusaders thy will be done, but this is the first big college football weekend in America so thats where my time will be spent
@OwenGamer22 oh yeah, I said self: "Self, that game looks kinda cool" then never thought about it again.
I wonder if our friends @Nintendolife would be willing to research games like that. Top 10 games that were released in chapters but were never completed. Structure by which one had thr most potential
Generally do not like when a publisher releases the story mode in chunks...always reminds me when movies set up sequels that never happen. Hello Divergent series, or Game of Thrones book series I never know if ill get an actual ending.
Gonna have to pass on this for now. Maybe if it was super cheap, impossible lair was a huge disappointment personally and this is supposed to be banjo kazooie like. Just a poor combo for my gaming pleasures.
I'll have to see it in motion, my eyes aren't great at telling the difference unless it is side by side. So I probably won't be bothered if it has a consistent frame rate that let's me have a fun experience
@DylanMcGrann fair points and it has been a while since ive played. I also have a lot of metroidvania experience, personally I think 3d shooters are impossible but I also dont like them so I'm not willing to "deal with it". I guess not too difficult for me shouldn't be seen as easy for other people, I enjoy a little difficulty because other wise it gets boring like Axiom2. I dont even know if you can lose in that game and it made it boring, hollowknight had a fair difficulty they didnt just give you the win but once you know the patterns I belive most people can beat it with time.
@darkswabber I am aware of that but it is a X for a lot of people who look at it, they should have changed the orientation and just made it a plus sign
Maybe he doesn't care about making a lot of money on the project, but I would think he hopes it sells pretty well. The project is personal to him and he wants people to play his hard work and go through the story that they created about his mom and child hood.
Is the base game of hollow knight really that hard? Some of the optional bosses get really difficult (dream bosses, grimme troop dlc, the coliseum), but just beating the game isnt too difficult. I think it gives a good range of people like me that just want to play through the story and a little bit extra to people who want to do the optional extreme stuff.
DK is the better game for me, I mainly play solo but Mario Kart is always fun with friends so it is worth having as I'll still be playing it for 8 years. Im slowly 100 percentile DK but after that I may never play it again.
@Orwellian87 as long as the progression system seems like it is moving you forward through skill and upgrades i dont mind the good ones. Dead cells and hades are high up my list of hours played. I will say Enter the Gungeon burned me out because some of the weapons were almost useless. I got a few of the skip level shell casings and just wasn't having fun
Not the biggest MK fan, but what in the world is special forces???!?!? Time to watch a speedrun hopefully it is an awful top down contra style game....we will see
Lots of good games on here my favorite is probably The Messenger. Halfway through and I think Ninja Gaiden ragebound is just ok. Guess I was wrong about yukkalaylee, I thought that game was terrible. Lots of fun games on this list
Man maybe I'll have to turn on my Playstation. I can just wait, I like gaming on the switch more. After God of War and Jedi Survivor, nothing has really jumped out to me.

@Bunkerneath come on man, the reviewer just reviews the game not the delivery format. Do you still buy cds or something?

Re: Ubisoft Releasing Star Wars Outlaws Switch 2 Demo "Later This Year"
Knowing ubisoft the demo with be out the same time the game has a huge discount. It is odd to see a demo sometime after the release of the game.

Re: Shinobi: Art Of Vengeance Is Getting A Resolution Update On Switch
Playing it on switch 2 docked and havent had any problems. The art style is really good, but I'm only on the second set of levels

Can we make a completely arbitrary rule that the game has to be over 10 years old to get a remaster...it doesn't really bother me juat seems strange
