Bad move. There have been times when I was split between the eshop or Steam version of a game during a sale on both platforms. "Well, I can get some gold out of it" was often the decision maker.
Mostly hyped about Ryoma & Koji becoming playable pilots. Might try the arena. Maybe the wait time is less than the team battles since you don't need a full lobby?
Used to know a guy that had a pair of these. One for play, one kept sealed for a rainy day. Would lose his mind when I easily removed it from a table with a Dark Vaporeon.
Yeah, was hoping you'd unlock exclusive ones with game purchases. Would be a cool way to show off characters from those lesser known games (Penguin Wars anyone?) too.
@lovesushi I like both, but if multiplayer is your thing, you might want to lean toward Gundam Breaker 4. While Megaton Musashi has PvE & PvP, finding players even with cross play is near impossible. Things may get even worse with Gundam on the scene now.
@RupeeClock Yeah, you definitely want to dedicate the time for the original. I stopped & went back years later & have no idea how the heck I got as far as I did.
Struggled to the point where I quit playing it again.
Tri will always be my favorite for the memories. Used to meet up with a group of hunters every week to play online. There was a message board thread that said what guild hall # to meet at, so you could trickle in whenever that night for hours.
Gundam Breaker 4- Game play looks kinda generic, but as a gunpla fan I'm sold more on the diorama mode. Then again, with no online features mentioned, who the heck can I show my builds off to? Tempted by that Tryon 3 face, but going to have to wait for the reviews.
@rotekps_aniger Think I made it to stage 2 or 3. Been meaning to give it another go when I saw the Contra code being used for it on youtube. It's a bit more tricky than how it was used in the original game, but extra lives ftw.
If the Joycons & Pro Controller are compatible with the next system, I'm definitely holding on to it. Not everyone around here prefers playing Smash with GC controllers.
I didn't hate this game when it came out. Heck, as someone who was metroivania'd out after SoTN, I enjoyed a straight-forward entry for once.
Now that it's seeing the light of day again, I'll resume hoping for a Rebirth style remake to bring Sonja back into canon. She doesn't have to be the origin, just in there.
Cool, Castlevania Legends get some recognition of existing. Though it looks odd seeing it in Game Boy colors since I originally played it on Game Boy Color.

Re: Review: Nintendo Switch Online GameCube Controller - The Return Of The King
I guess because I'm more of a D-pad guy, I'll never get the lasting appeal of this thing.
Re: Opinion: Upgraded For Switch 2, ARMS Deserves A Second Shot At Greatness
Wasn't in love with it but using the joy-cons that way had me longing for someone to make a Virtual On type gaming using a similar control method.
Re: Uh Oh, Switch 2's Home Screen Looks Just As Bland As We Feared
Eh. Maybe they'll sell themes for Platinum points later.
Re: Poll: Will You Trade In Your Switch When Switch 2 Arrives?
If the cloud saving works back & forth between Switch 1 & 2 may keep 2 docked & take 1 on the go more often.
Re: Nintendo Is Discontinuing Gold Points, One Of The Switch's Best Incentives

Re: Japanese Charts: What Successor? Switch Hardware Sales Top 100,000
@rjejr Guessing it's us mainly docked players still buying the original.

Gotcha Force & Slammasters revivals for me.

Re: Riviera: The Promised Land Remaster Gets Western Release Date On Switch
@Smeddy Aw man. I did worse in Knights than I did in Riveria. Even trying to get through the tutorials was brutal.
Yet both deserve more praise than what they got over here. High marks for gameplay originality.

@Teksetter Yeah. At least the eshop version is already on sale for 10% off if you want to settle for it.
Re: Zelda's Got Nothing On Divine Dynamo Flamefrit's Grass-Cutting Mechanic
Here's hoping for an option to switch back to the Japanese voices.

Re: Stylish Hack 'N' Slash Title 'Tails Of Iron 2' Locks In A Release Window
Never played the first, but kind of looks like a world where the Skaven from Warhammer are the good guys. Kill-slay!

Re: The House Of The Dead 2: Remake Has Been Rated For Switch
Only ever played Overkill on Wii. One of the few games that made me not regret buying that Nyko Perfect Shot.
Re: Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night's Final Content Update Is Out Now
@hel105 As a late player of both of Shantae & Shovel Knight, thanks.

Never did finish this game. Looks neat though.
Re: Feature: 20 Great Gaming Accounts You Should Follow On Bluesky
@Natsura Hmm yeah. Maybe the instance has mine fediblocked. When I search for it, I don't see the latest posts.
Re: Feature: 20 Great Gaming Accounts You Should Follow On Bluesky
@Natsura Really? Cool.
Hmm just looked it up & it hasn't posted anything since May.
Re: Feature: 20 Great Gaming Accounts You Should Follow On Bluesky
@Automated_Unit_4937 Funny enough, recently came across GoNintendo's news posting bot on Mastodon.
Re: Nintendo Discontinuing 'X' Integration On Switch Next Month
@TheRazzBerry Yeah, not really. The few times I wanted to share screenshots, I uploaded that way out of laziness.
I think you can still move pics & clips from the Switch to your pc via USB, right?
Re: Review: Megaton Musashi W: Wired (Switch) - Good Old-Fashioned Mech-Battling Fun
Looks pretty good to me.
Not a fan of paying full physical price for a digital game.... But on the other hand, I can wishlist for now.
If the wait for Gundam Breaker 4 doesn't get to me first, I can hold out for a sale.
Re: Best Underwater Levels On Nintendo Switch
Was expecting Dolphin Shoals from MK8 to make the list. Just for the music change, if anything.
Re: Hyperdimension Neptunia: Re;Birth Trilogy Launches On Switch In 2024
Tried & found myself losing interest.
Stuck with Action Unleashed a bit more though 'cause hack n' slash.
Re: Inti Creates Announces Gold Collection, Three Games On One Physical Switch Cart
@Twilite9 That's odd. I had got mine.
But seeing as the last few levels were DLC, you're probably better off with this version anyway.
Re: Animal Crossing: New Horizons 'Isabelle' First 4 Figures Statue Announced
@Anti-Matter There's a Kicks amiibo out there? I don't even have AC & I kinda want that just because of how cute he looks.

@Yosher Yeah, as much as I like this news, I'm getting Letterbomb flashbacks.

Re: New Peach-Themed Mario Kart Switch Controller Glows In The Dark
Would excuse the last of motions controls & HD rumble for $30ish. Would be a nice controller for the occasional guest player.

Re: Switch Emulator Yuzu To Pay $2.4 Million To Nintendo & Cease Development
@Ham-n-jam This.
Had never got around to trying Citra, but MH4U with a controller was legit the only reason I wanted to.
Re: Switch Online's Mobile App No Longer Compatible With Older OS
Used to report squid parties & whatnot in my Splatoon 2 matches.
Aside from that, I used it once when some kid added a few random players he came across in MK8 & wanted to use the voice chat.
Had upgraded phones since then & now that 2-factor verification whatever thing keeps the app locked.

Tales of Kenzera: ZAU could be neat too.
Re: Princess Peach: Showtime! Trailer Reveals Ninja Peach And Cowgirl Peach
Is it bad that I'm mostly hyped for the Peach NSO icons that will come from this?
Re: Freedom Planet 2 Locks In An April Release Date On Switch
@RetroGamer5491 I haven't played it in so long I forgot where I got stuck at. Need to get back at this myself.
Re: Talking Point: Which Feature From Each Smash Bros. Game Should Make A Return?
Something Else. I miss Wii remote/nunchuk controls. Was hoping dual Joy Cons would bring back shake smash.

Re: SNES Racer Series Top Gear Is Being Revived As A Switch Collection In 2024
@snappy Yeah, the Horizon Chase OST remakes don't quite do the original's justice.
I still air guitar when I think of New York because of that track.
