I feel like theres something about Wonders art style that is really held back by its original resolution. The jump to 4k feels more meaningful here than on most other games which is why the $20 price tag feels so insulting.

I appreciate the icon being updated for parity with Silksong.

I wish we knew what the other changes there are besides resolution and framerate, documentation is really vague beyond "additional effects"

I imagine mp4 will trend upwards for a while. I think a lot of it's negative perception is based on what people want the game to be, not what the game actually is. As time passes more metroid fans will be able to appreciate it for what it did or attempted to do. At least, I know that's often a struggle for me with new releases.

I did a little testing and I believe the input lag is due to mouse controls being set to default. Setting it to off seem to help but it still feels a bit sluggish. I think it has to switch controls to analog everytime you touch the stick when turned on. This is similar to behavior on pc when switching control methods, but we can't track when the control scheme switches over because the button prompts remain the same on Switch.

I find this pretty alarming because it implies they might have just ticked a setting allowing mouse controls without developing or testing the function with the actual hardware in mind.

What a complete waste. These changes are meaningless to me without the fps boost. No HDR either, why? The other console versions have it.

At least the menus look nice, too bad they are tied to 30 fps

I don't understand the tone of this article, like it's a chore to even talk about this game. I didn't find it exciting but it looked okay.

I've heard a shocking amount of people claim this game is great so I am curious.

Luckily I already downloaded it, I saw this coming. They should have not included any of the original code or assets, have it load the rom like Ship of Harkinian does.

I would be shocked if Baldur's Gate 3 loses.

It's a good goal to have, even if it's unattainable. Mario is the pinnacle of the genre.

Making them accessible is the best thing they can do, they are no longer capable of making good games more complicated than something like bomberman.

If having fast travel makes it into your list of features, you may need more features. I'm surprised day and night cycle and auto saves didn't get bullet points.

I'm still really excited, and I realize this is the beginning of the game, but the only thing that really disappoints me is how boring and minimalist this level design is.

Yo I'll take the leak on whether or not the framerate has improved even though in my heart I know it hasn't.

I'm pretty sure you are trying to argue with me but I'm not going to go through all your other messages in here to get a feel for your opinions. If you are trying to say everyone who worked on this game was credited, then you are also saying you don't think programming or level design is important. Which is dumb.

Good. That was malicious and unacceptable. I can't believe people are in here arguing it's fine, if you worked on the game you should be credited for it. End of story.

Missed opportunity not having a girl mc option. I'll wait for the pc versions inevitable mod. Dialogue, character portraits and pc model are easy to change.

I'm not sure how I feel about Aunomas statement, there is clear Souls influence in botw and totk and there is nothing wrong with that. Totk basically lifted the DS curse system and it's better for having it.

I mean that's nice, but how about a patch that makes it playable?

I hated her voice when I first played botw but it's since grown on me. I think it didn't match up to what I wanted and expected a Zelda to sound like, but I've accepted that this Zelda, like all Zeldas, is unique.

I love FF1, one of my favorite in the series. There's something to be said about how a more primitive gaming experience makes you fill in the gaps with your imagination, and this is a perfect example for that. Barebones story and character development means your head canon is not only valid, but kind of necessary.

Dream Land 2 has special Super Gameboy support like custom borders, additional sound fx, and color pallettes that change depending on the level. It would be nice if the NSO version supported this.

Exciting times for Metroid fans. I'm hoping Metroid reclaims it's long lost status in the Nintendo top series alongside Mario and Zelda.
