I'll be continuing to progress through Hi-Fi Rush and Resident Evil 4 on the PS5. I also want to spend a bit more time with Toaplan Collections 3&4 on Evercade, with Batsugun and Knuckle Bash being the foci. I might also dip into Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course and Guardian Heroes on the Xbox One X if time permits. Have a great weekend all!
I've got a few days in the sun from tomorrow, so I'll likely just spend a little time on my Evercade EXP during the flight. Strider and 1944 - The Loop Master will probably be the games of choice!
I've got a few great games on the go at the moment: Metroid Dread (Switch) Binary Domain (Steam) Resident Evil 3 (Xbox One X) God of War Ragnarok (PS5)
I will mainly be playing Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit with my daughter; I got it for her recent birthday and she loves it! I'm also nearing the end of both Metroid Prime Remastered and Returnal so I'll continue to chip away at these in the evenings. Have a great weekend all!
I'll be looking to finish Metroid Prime Remastered (Switch) and The Evil Within (Xbox One X) this weekend. I'll also dabble with Returnal (PS5) if I get the chance.
I think it is finally time to finish the final DLC dungeon in Breath of the Wild and also see the story through to completion in Age of Calamity. I have so many games that I'm trying to juggle that I told myself Tears of the Kingdom would have to wait, but realistically, they are all getting dropped come 12th May! Have a great weekend everyone 😀
Returnal (PS5) and Metroid Prime (Switch) will dominate my gaming time this weekend! I'll also squeeze in a little retro gaming with the Toaplan 1 Collection (Evercade) the go-to compilation for now. Have a super weekend everyone!
I have far too many games on the go and not enough time! I am hoping my Evercade EXP limited edition arrives today, so any gaming over the weekend will focus on absolute classics such as R-Type, Truxton, Gaiares and Final Fight. Have a great weekend everyone!
I finished my first run of Bayonetta 3 last night - what a fantastic entry to the series. I will need multiple runs to decide how it ranks alongside the other two (and indeed Platinum's other games) and so I plan to jump straight back in with a different combination of weapons and Infernal Demons. Top stuff.
I'll also continue to chip away at Metroid Prime Remastered, No More Heroes III, Elden Ring, and Vampire Survivors!
@PtM I'm almost certain this footage was included on the promo VHS tape included with issue 1 of N64 Magazine that launched early '97 here in the UK. I must have watched the tape at least 1000 times!
Still working through Elden Ring and Age of Calamity. I'll also have a few credits on some of the games found on Evercade's Jaleco 1 and Gaelco 2 arcade collections.
@JaxonH I've been trying to resist the temptation to purchase Rise and this expansion - too many games on the go already, you see - but your comments do not make this easy to do!
Elden Ring (Xbox One X) once again - what a stunning game. 30 hours in and so much of the world yet to discover. I'll be amazed if we see a better game released in 2022.
I'll also be playing some retro games, mainly Golden Axe: The Revenge of Death Adder (Astro City Mini) and Gaiares (Evercade VS). I'm also tempted in purchasing a Taito Egret II Mini!
Finishing up the original No More Heroes in preparation for the number 3 releasing next week! Beyond that I'm gonna play a little Shinobi and Alien Storm on my Astro City Mini.
Mainly playing some older titles at the moment. Christmas always fills me with nostalgia, and although I'm playing some of the games on my list for the first time, they still manage to take me back to a bygone time.
Banjo-Kazooie (Xbox One X) Jet Force Gemini (Xbox One X) Viva Pinata (Xbox One X) No More Heroes (Switch) Travis Strikes Again (Switch) Streets of Rage 4 (Switch) Castlevania: Rondo of Blood (PC Engine Mini) Soldier Blade (PC Engine Mini)
Banjo Kazooie (XBox One X) Sekiro (XBox One X) Fire Emblem: Three Houses (Switch)
I'll likely pick-up No More Heroes 1&2 again this weekend - I'll definitely be replaying the entire series, including the severely underrated Travis Strikes Again, before the third game drops next year.
Continuing with Nier: Automata and Sekiro on the Xbox One X, plus I'm gonna finally buy Fighters Pass 1 for Smash Bros. Ultimate. Looking forward to taking Terry Bogard for a spin!
Loads. Gonna make the most of the current situation and working through the backlog in what would normally have been the busiest time of the year in my role.
Doom Eternal and Resident Evil 2 on the Xbox One X are the main games. If I can prise the Swirch away from the wife then I'll also throw a bit of Fire Emblem and Devil May Cry 3 into the mix.
Will also likely have a few credits on the Metal Slug games on the Neo Geo Mini, plus a run through of Streets of Rage 2 on the Mega Drive Mini before 4 lands in the next few weeks!
Plenty of games on the go at the moment. Lots of time at home over the next few weeks. Stay safe people:
Fire Emblem Three Houses (Switch)
Devil May Cry 3 (Switch)
Resident Evil 2 (Xbox One)
Doom Eternal (Xbox One)
Hoping we might get Nintendo Direct this week but not really expecting one
Astral Chain and Blazing Chrome mainly for me. I'll probably dip back into Breath of the Wild to continue my progress in the DLC.
I'm really tempted to pick up Link's Awakening too, but as Xmas is rapidly approaching I'm thinking of asking for it from the family. There's something incredibly comforting and nostalgic about tackling a new Zelda game over the festive period. Instead, I might replay Minit or double-dip on Hyper Light Drifter to fill this particular gap in my gaming world.
Well, this turned into a trainwreck, didn't it? I'm cautiously optimistic about this game; I've purposely avoided most previews/reviews so that I go in fresh. I'm certain that the baseline gameplay will be excellent from the tidbits I've read, I just hope there are enough ludicrous set pieces that elevate Platinum's best games above the rest (see the Bayonettas, Vanquish and W101).
Resident Evil 4 - just reached the island. It's even better than I remember. I think I've spent many hours just watching the rifle and broken butterfly's reload animations!
I am mainly playing Resident Evil 4 for the first time since the Wii days, and I have to say, it is still a masterclass in pacing and design.
I am also playing Kero Blaster for the first time. As a massive fan of Cave Story, it is great to finally play another of Pixel's games. Though quite different in style and structure, the two definitely share a design where all aspects of the game are honed to perfection with very little 'fat' or 'filler'.
Beyond those, playing some Neo Geo games on my Mini with the nephew. His favourites are currently Robo Army and Metal Slug!
Great article - the 3D revolution of the early '90s was such an exciting time as a gaming fan. This game, alongside Daytona USA and Mario 64 are the games that really stand out in my mind as those that pushed the boundaries beyond what I ever thought possible.
Game time is very limited at the moment, so I'm sticking to games that I can enjoy in short bursts: Into the Breach Capcom Beat 'Em Up Bundle Raging Justice One Strike
@Orwellianson Yet here you are commenting on said video, so I really wonder who is the 'loser' that is 'wasting time and his life with such a stupid video'?
Hopefully, I'll get chance to complete a few games that I'm nearing the end of: Earth Wars Dandara Atomik: RunGun JumpGun
I picked up Heart & Slash midweek, so will likely play a little later and I'm also tempted to pick up A Robot Named Fight. Indies dominating my gaming at the moment!
I can't focus on anything too mentally demanding at the moment, so just jumping into some hack-and-slash-type games now and then: Wulverblade Sengoku 3 Earth Wars Furi (on Furier difficulty) (and will pick up Raging Justice on Tuesday)
I'll probably spend some time on Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice tonight on the Xbox One. I picked it up after it won a number of BAFTAs and I've been very impressed so far.
Beyond that, I'll be dipping into a number of games on my Neo Geo X (mainly Shock Troopers and Blazing Star) with a dash of Breathe of the Wild!

Focusing on some retro-inspired indie games on the Switch this weekend:
Gato Roboto
Way of the Passive Fist
Spectacular Sparky - any fans of Treasure's 16-bit output would be well advised to take a look at this!

No More Heroes III and Axiom Verge 2 for me, happy days.

Asura's Wrath (Xbox One X)
Virtua Fighter (Astro City Mini)

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (August 22nd)
There simply isn't time to play everything I want to! I'll be continuing to play:
Nier: Automata
Fire Emblem: Three Houses
Undertale
Axiom Verge
And I've got my eye on numerous indie games, thanks in part to the current sale:
A Short Hike
Creature in the Well
Dandy Dungeon
We've also got Moon arriving next week and the potential for a Nintendo Direct too. I'm not getting bored any time soon, that's for sure!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (August 15th)
Nier: Automata
Fire Emblem: Three Houses
Undertale
All fantastic games!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (July 4th)
Alternating between Nier: Automata and Sekiro on the Xbox One X, with a sprinkling of games on the PC Engine Mini in between
Re: Splatoon 2 Version 5.2.0 Update Arrives On Switch Next Week

This evening I will be jumping between:
Travis Strikes Again
Akane
Overwhelm
Katana Zero
Neo Geo Mini games (mainly the Metal Slugs and Shock Troopers)
I'll probably also pickup Gunlord X

Carrying on with Hollow Knight (Switch) and NieR: Automata (Xbox One). Two incredible games!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend?
Mainly spending my limited time with Hollow Knight (Switch) and Nier Automata (Xbox One). Both games are quite splendid!
Re: Exclusive: Wulverblade Is Going On Sale To Celebrate Its Biggest Update Yet
I've already played through this a few times (both alone and with the wife) so really looking forward to jumping in again with the Beast Mode!
@fullyilly - I hope you're all proud of making such a great game. Would love to see a sequel someday!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend?
Hopefully, I'll get chance to complete a few games that I'm nearing the end of:
Earth Wars
Dandara
Atomik: RunGun JumpGun
I picked up Heart & Slash midweek, so will likely play a little later and I'm also tempted to pick up A Robot Named Fight. Indies dominating my gaming at the moment!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend?
I can't focus on anything too mentally demanding at the moment, so just jumping into some hack-and-slash-type games now and then:
Wulverblade
Sengoku 3
Earth Wars
Furi (on Furier difficulty)
(and will pick up Raging Justice on Tuesday)
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend?
Hellblade
Vanquish
Furi
A great weekend!
Re: Feature: Hands-On With Raging Justice, The Streets Of Rage Successor Your Switch Deserves
Hope this turns out good. I did into Wulverblade and Sengoku 3 regularly so another quality beat 'em up would go down a treat!

I'll probably spend some time on Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice tonight on the Xbox One. I picked it up after it won a number of BAFTAs and I've been very impressed so far.
