Easter is already just around the corner! Or Egg Day. Whatever you want to call it. Really, it's just an excuse to eat chocolate and play video games, right? Did you check out our Indie Spotlight earlier in the week? Well, we'll give you another chance below. After last week's Zelda bombshell, it's been a bit quieter otherwise. Nintendo has announced that the Switch Online Expansion Pass will be teeing off with Mario Golf next week. Did you notice that Nintendo is reprinting some 3DS games too? And, if our review is anything to go by, we think that LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga might just be the best LEGO game ever.
Now it's time to chill out and discuss our weekend gaming plans. A few members of the Nintendo Life team have done just that below, so feel free to give our entries a read and then join in with your own via our comment section. Enjoy!

The baseball season has started so it's basically another Christmas for me. I'll likely do some 'Road to the Show' in MLB The Show 22 on Switch during the many commercial breaks when watching the Cubs; it's perfect for that!
When not obsessing over baseball I'll continue my playthrough of Triangle Strategy, which has been fantastic. I also need to finish Kirby and the Forgotten Land, so all told it's going to be an awesome weekend of gaming.

This weekend, I’ll be delving into some of the best point-and-click games for the Switch after the awesome announcement of a brand new Monkey Island game. I’ve started with Thimbleweed Park and will be moving on to The Darkside Detective and its sequel when I’m done. I’m hopeful that we’ll see the classic Monkey Island titles on Switch ahead of the sequel, but who knows? A man can dream…
Otherwise, I don’t have a whole lot else on this weekend. I’ve been plugging away at Halo Infinite on Legendary difficulty, but it took a bit of a backseat for a few weeks after one of the boss fights just fatigued me on the experience. I might dive back into it if I find myself at a loose end.

This weekend I'm going to be watching my partner play more Skyward Sword (we're getting close to the end, maybe? Hard to tell) and playing a little more Kirby and the Forgotten Land. I also bought a ton of DS games following the news of the 3DS eShop closing, so I should probably give those a go as well. And maybe some AI: The Somnium Files, which I started the other day... it's going to be a busy weekend of gaming!
Alana Hagues, staff writer
After a little bit of time off to visit my partner, I've got a handful of things to report and play this weekend. We picked up Kirby and the Forgotten Land and played through most of it in co-op, and it's a total delight. Now I have the arduous task of actually finishing the game and 100%-ing it alone. Shouldn't be too hard! As long as I can pull myself away from the gachapon machines for long enough. We also, finally, played through Deltarune Chapter 2. I'm a huge Undertale fan, and I loved Chapter 1, but I think Chapter 2 is the best we've seen from Toby Fox.
Looking to this weekend specifically, other than Kirby, it's Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition time. Or, more specifically, Radical Dreamers. I've played Chrono Cross before, but the text adventure is totally new to me like it is to many others, so I have to see how it adds to the series' lore.
Felix Sanchez, video producer
My gaming plans for this weekend: I will keep progressing with my monster-slaying journey in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and I'll also be playing through LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga with my fiancée.
I’m still trying to find time to beat Kirby and the Forgotten Land, but stuff keeps getting in the way. Maybe this weekend I'll get to tackle the Winter Horns?
Gonçalo Lopes, reviewer
There were several quiet stunners last week on the eShop which I plan to continue to dabble this weekend. Ultionus: A Tale of Petty Revenge is the spiritual sequel of a ZX Spectrum game I used to play, while Agent Intercept is your wildest Spy Hunter fantasies come true. But if you like Contra / Probotector (and of course you do) the real highlight is Super Cyborg , the greatest NES Contra game Konami never made.
Game of the week is LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. Nostalgia is a powerful feeling, so if you blend LEGO slapstick humour with a war from a long, long time ago in a galaxy far, far away and I can assure you I will be playing this for even longer than Triangle Strategy.
Austin Voigt, contributing writer
This weekend, I’m pumped to get some time in on Triangle Strategy, Kirby and the Forgotten Land, and LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. I’ve been very busy in my personal life lately, so this will be the first weekend in a long time where I’ll have the chance to sit down and do the game stuff. Looking forward to some beautiful artwork and hilarious dialogue - should be a good time!
As always, thanks for reading! Make sure to leave us a comment below with your weekend gaming plans!

Recently crusader kings 3 has been tempting me back so i might give in this weekend
After beating Xenoblade Chronicles DE last weekend, this weekend I'll be getting lost in Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Getting ready for Xenoblade Chronicles 3 by playing all the games.
My Switch is getting (mostly) sidelined so I can play Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga on my PS5. I've been enjoying it so far! Almost done with Empire Strikes Back, I'm going through the movies in release order.
I'll probably boot up Chocobo GP a bit to work on unlocking Cloud, but I don't see myself spending too much time on the Switch this weekend. Like the last couple of weeks, Axiom Verge and .hack//Infection are also games I should get back to soon if I need a break from smashing plastic bricks.
Horizon zero dawn complete edition on ps4/ps5. Trying to get the platinum trophy.
After that I’ll go back to spider-man miles morales to get the newgame+ trophy and the platinum.
No switch, 3ds or xbox this weekend.
Rimworld still, amazing game. I also tried the new Kirby and Lego Star Wars games but neither of them really did anything to me to the point where I decided to sell the former and get refund on the latter.
Finally getting over my sickness which has been plaguing me for an entire week.
Finished Rune Factory 5 so need to choose something to keep me occupied till Tuesday when 13 Sentinels comes out. Maybe Gal*Gun: Double Peace.
Animal Crossing New Horizon trying to get the last Paiting/sculture.
SWITCH
Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga - really enjoying this so far! This is everything I was hoping it to be.
Pokemon Legends: Arceus - hunting shinies...
3DS
Smash 3DS - had an idea to go back to Smash 4 this weekend, just to see how the online is. It's still going kinda strong!
PC
Tiny Tina's Wonderlands - loving the gameplay so far, on the 5th story mission!
GTA Online - multiplayer with friends later tonight!
Have a good weekend everyone!
Picked up Skyrim again, no doubt I’ll enjoy wandering around it for a while and then put it down for something else on the backlog. Feels like I’m destined to play this game off and on for years
SMTV and Kirbmeister and the Forgotten Land
I got myself a reproduction SNES cartridge of the Live A Live fan translation. ...I wanted to be familiar with the original 16-bit version so that I would be able to appreciate the remake version more when it comes out.
...Is this an unusual thing to do?
Anyways, I've been playing the 16-bit original Live A Live, and it's great.
Right now I'm playing Knights of the Old Republic. I find most older 3D games usually age very poorly, so I'm surprised to see myself loving this game. The story is intriguing, the voice acting is great, and it really feels like you get to discover an incredibly interesting world. Also the combat is not as bad as I thought it would be, so that's great too.
I'm almost 50 hours into Dragon Quest XI after starting it 2.5 weeks ago. I've got a big chunk of today to myself, so I'm going to try putting a bigger dent into it. I imagine I'll get some Kirby and the Forgotten Land time in with my daughter in co-op. We just made it to what I believe is the last world. She absolutely loves this game and I think it may now be my favourite Kirby game of all time.
Going for the extra content in pikmin 3 (olimars missions and challenges) which I'm preferring to the main campaign. I just like having the small replayable levels to try and get the platinum badges for.
Also finally started Splatoon 2's Octo Expansion and that's off to a good start. This might be my favourite game on switch and that was definitely not because of the campaign. This feels like a decent step up so far though. Hopefully 3's campaign follow this trajectory.
And of course my weekend ringfit adventure sessions. Would love more content like when they added the Zelda and Splatoon courses.
Switch is likely to see more Rune Factory 5, Saints Row 4, Immortals and DQB, Solitaire Conspiracy and Paradox Soul, either or both Xenoblade(s), Haven and Skyrim, Ender Lilies and Torchlight 2... on top of whatever mood wildcards guide my hand and library cursor.
Laptop appetites routinely revolve around ESO/Morrowind, Just Cause 2 and Assassin's Creed with some NFS Undercover on the side, but other stuff from FFXIII and Dishonored to Red Faction and True Crime might chime in as well.
3DS should get me through more Sudoku Gridmaster stages (maybe even wrap it up after all these years since there are but a few Hard ones left - I don't plan on going for that separate "ranking" mode for now) and progress further in Etrian Odyssey Untold, plus possibly do more stuff in Fire Emblem Echoes and Strange Journey Redux. Vita? You bet, mostly God Eater but SotN, Gravity Rush, Tales of Eternia and even Gran Turismo may see some action, too. Thanks for coming to my Improbable Nerd Cravings talk.😆
Wrapped up Kirby Forgotten Land this past week with 100% but I still want to go back and find all the easter eggs and hidden rooms. After that, I'll probably hop over to Metroid Dread to check out the new boss rush mode. Funny how similar those two games are. Will also be pre-ordering the Physical copy for Chrono Cross.
Dead Cells DLC, Fortnite dailies, Doom 3 and Children of Morta.
I’m on a family holiday wishing I was at home playing my Mega Drive Mini. Just one more day to go…😮💨
Elden Ring (Xbox One X) once again - what a stunning game. 30 hours in and so much of the world yet to discover. I'll be amazed if we see a better game released in 2022.
I'll also be playing some retro games, mainly Golden Axe: The Revenge of Death Adder (Astro City Mini) and Gaiares (Evercade VS). I'm also tempted in purchasing a Taito Egret II Mini!
Have a great weekend!
Dark Souls and Chrono Cross!
Lots going on this weekend. I should continue Mary Skelter 2, but I just received my copy of Paradise Killer and I can't wait to start that. Might be a little of both in the end. I also keep on coming back to Slay the Spire even after I've beaten it with all the base characters. I might have a Slay the Spire problem.
I also have to start working on a a sweater, and I have a ton of work to do on the house including chainsawing a ginormous dead tree, so who knows what I'll actually end up doing this weekend.
I played Nintendo Switch games for this weekend. 🙂
1. Animal Crossing New Horizons
2. Pretty Princess Party
3. Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time
And I could visit again my local game arcade this afternoon to play Dance Dance Revolution MAX 2 Arcade.
I could pass MAX 300 on Heavy level this time after I managed to control my legs and my stamina. 😀
I still remembered the stepcharts for some DDR songs I could play without seeing the arrows (Sexy Planets, AFRONOVA) even though I didn't play DDR Arcade for 2 years.
Also, I got 3 Free Play for playing DDR MAX 2 Arcade from the manager of game arcade after I helped him to input the password for DDR MAX 2 Arcade to unlock all hidden songs since the machine will forget all the unlockable songs once the machine get turned off.
Not a fan of kirby in any form or way! But I can say, I am thoroughly impressed and enjoying every bit of my playthrough filled with stunning graphics and details. Maybe the pink fella just gained a fan here!!!
Finally triangle strategy is one hell of a game!! Can't wait for a sequel 😍.
@Sam_ATLUS wish I was you playing through this wonderful game for the first time. Can't wait for the 3.
I’m almost at the end of Kirby the forgotten land, so I’m going to finish that this weekend
Also gonna play Skyward Sword again, one of my favourite Zelda games for sure
Definitely can’t forget my daily Mario kart 8 races online
I might also play Mario Bros U deluxe because somehow I haven’t finished that game
If I can quit playing on my Switch,
I’ll play Star Wars the Skywalker saga on Ps5
I will be facing off with Ravenbeak in Metroid Dread, trying to resist making all the worse choices in Disco Elysium, picking up keys in Cruisn’ Blast and perhaps playing some Zelda games on NSO.
Enjoy the weekend, everyone!
Probably focused on Xbox this weekend, MCC server issues are fixed so probably a mixture of that, Gears 5 and FF Origin.
Finally in the mood for some Xenoblade Chronicles 3D. There’s a lot of information on that little New 3DS screen, but I’m ready. Even from the opening movie, I feel like the storytelling is better than in the sequel. Long way to go, though. I spent over 200hrs in XC2!
I just wrapped up Kirby. Such a fun game with more stuff to it than I expected tbh. Now I have no idea what to play.
Will be continuing my gaming marathon since I've got all next week booked off.
On playstation 5 I will be playing Tiny Tina Wonderlands and Elden Ring.
On switch I will be continuing with fire emblem three houses and just started dragon quest 11s, I've also just bought AI the somnium files so looking forward to starting that.
And on xbox I will continue with the guardians of the galaxy which has been pretty good so far.
Good morning my dears, this weekend I am playing Triangle Strategy!! Oooohhhhh
It was slow. The characters were kinda bland. The world seemed to big for me to grasp really. But then in chapter 6 things got real! Something happened to my brain and I began to agonize over every choice I was making, never before have the consequences of my actions in a game felt so weighty! I am beyond hooked, and I don't care how much more I have in this game - it is the only thing I want to do
Isn't everyone playing on their new A500 Mini?!
Potentially just me then...
I have a USB of all my old Amiga games locked and loaded and will be playing through...
Batman The Movie, Turbo Outrun, Xenon 2, New Zealand Story, Rainbow Islands, Bubble Bobble (the way it should look and sound, not like the NES version!), Buggy Boy, Nebulus, IK+, Blood Money, North & South, Spellbound Dizzy, Hostages, Captive, Lemmings, Onslaught, Time Machine, Soldier Of Light, Gunshoot, Home Alone, Rockstar Ate My Hamster, Lotus Turbo Challenge 2 and Chuckie Egg (but never the second one!).
Been playing Lego Star Wars all week, same again this weekend. Just the sequel trilogy to do now. Such a fun game, probably the best Lego one full stop! Makes a nice change from the challenge of Elden Ring too. Have a good one folks!
D&D. The party now has some real estate in Barovia. Time to threaten it.
Its been a week since I have played Animal Crossing and I do not regret putting that game down to play Kirby. Kirby is excellent!
Rocket League, Travel Mosaics and Rush Rally 3.
Happy gaming everyone!
On switch lego skywalker saga
On ps4 the order 1886 and infamous first light.
@Krull wait… why are you playing the 3D version when there’s the superior Switch XC1 Definitive Edition?
I'll be continuing my play through of the stick of truth. This game is alot better then I thought it would be. I'd dare say this is one of my favorite RPGs. While playing, I'll be watching my White Sox and helping my daughter navigate her first Final Fantasy game. I redownload 7,8,9 and 10 so she could test the waters and see which one she likes. Enjoy the weekend everyone!
@Rpg-lover 11 hours in having just finished Chapter 2 and it is a joy to play. The game looks wonderful, music is incredible and the dialogue is entertaining. Think I'm gonna be invested in this for the long run trying to see everything. I feel like that with games like 13 Sentinels where I could play through it again for the first time again. September can't come fast enough for Xenoblade 3.
@Rpg-lover I got Kirby from Currys for £34.99 and it was suppose to be my game until Xenoblade took over, I'll most likely play it after I'm finished with that as a shorter experience. How is Triangle Strategy? Been debating on picking that up around my birthday next month and this is from someone who is a FE fan (as you can tell with me having a FE pfp).
Playing valfaris, man this game is awesome, it's like contra but more metal lol, I really recommend this game to anyone that like contra games, it's not metroidvania though.
Gonna try and beat Cynthia in Shining Pearl so I can finally catch Shaymin and Darkrai. Apart from that, I don't really have any plans. I'll just play whatever comes to me.
Shining Force: Resurrection of the Dark Dragon
On Nintendo Switch, I cleared "Nighttime Void 2" chronicle and first two chapters in "Amnesia vs Bankikai" chronicle in UNDER NIGHT IN-BIRTH Exe:Late[cl-r]. Also, I completed Arcade Mode playing as Miyashiro Erika Wagner and bought a few arts in the gallery. In Crypt of the NecroDancer, I completed 1st and 2nd zones playing with Monokuma skin and Masafumi Takada's Danganronpa Remix soundtrack. That's all what I've played on this week. Have a nice gaming weekend, everyone.
Still chugging away at Link's Awakening on our 2DS.
But I know I've already got to play it again when I finish, because I messed up. (I can't get the 6th Secret Seashell. I'm following a walkthrough LOL.)
On my 2nd pass through the game (as I go for the 6th Secret Seashell), I'm thinking I'll pick up the Switch version to enjoy the new graphics and see what else has changed from the DX version.
I need to get back on Pokemon Unite in order to try and get those glorious Opera skins for Absol, Gengar and Garchomp before they go away at the end of the month.
Apart from that, I've been chiselling away at a shiny Shroomish hunt in BDSP (on 200 eggs right now) and I'll probably play some Smash again since I played it for the first time in about 2 months last week and instantly fell back in love (Steve my beloved) so it should be a great time all around.
Sheepo - an adorable and chill little sheep metroidvania I just pulled off my backlog.
Kirby and the Forgotten Land - playing this a little at a time since it is a bit easy but I want to spread out the cuteness.
Everything - for some reason I had an urge to play some of this surreal game and spend some time as a rolling cow/bacteria/galaxy.
Chrono Cross? - I had been planning to play this but given the mediocre reviews and rumors about incoming patches, I haven't decided about buying it quite yet so I may or may not be playing it.
After completing Disco Elysium, I needed something equally incredible or live with infinite disappointment in every game that isn't as masterfully written, voiced, and presented. As deep, serious, thought provoking, mysterious, funny, wonderful, absurd...
So obviously, I had no choice but to play Captain Toad on 3ds, got it complete physical, used, for 10 euro's, which isn't that bad a deal. Perfect palate cleanser, with a side dish of Picross 3d, that I bought again a while back, complete and physical, for about 7 euro's. But some 3ds games seem to never go down in price, so will probably only go up.
On Switch, it’ll be my regular Saturday afternoon session of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe with the kids, while over on PS5, I’ll be playing my Game of the Year (so far) Gran Turismo 7 and The Empire Strikes Back episode of Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.
Have an amazing weekend, everyone. And happy gaming!
Playing through post game missions in Pokémon Legends Arceus. Looking forward to Pokémon GO Community Day on Sunday. Weather is supposed to be nice so it’ll be fun to get out.
This weekend will be a little Kirb & the Forgotten Land and a little Lego Skywalker Saga, whichever the kids allow me to play more. Both games are excellent and fighting courageously to stay out of the bottomless black pit that is my backlog.
Also Spelunky, which I still haven’t beaten once after 100 hours and 1,008 deaths. But I’m still happily trying! One glorious day I will triumph, and then go off to the eShop and buy Spelunky 2. 😅
Started playing Secret of Mana on the Snes mini and I believe I'll be doing that for some time
Been playing some indies on game pass lately. Finished unpacking yesterday which was lovely. Continuing Archvale and starting Infernax and maybe Kirby too
Restarting animal crossing after 230 hours due to lost save data. 🙃 also be playing Kirby and maybe splatoon and maybe ghost of Tsushima
I was playing some Atlus demos on my 2DS to decide which game to buy on sale. Think I'll get Stella Glow. Over this weekend I'll be hatching eggs in Pokemon Sun and getting new stickers in Kirby: Planet Robobot while watching baseball.
Have a good weekend everyone.
This weekend is all about those 3
Typical Tetris 99 & a bit more Elden Ring! I’m right at the end BUT I need to attempt an impossible secret dungeon boss another 500 times before I finish the game & move on
I accidentally flung my Switch lite across the room. I was just stretching ,knocked it, then it flew across the room and hit my window. I broke the left part of the controller on it. I was in the middle of Shin/Nocturne 3. I went to Walmart thinking I was going to buy a Lite, but instead I bought an OLED. The screen comparison is night and day, But I lost my back up for the game. It said error. I am so mad. I was so far. So then I didn’t want to play it no more and then I got Chrono Cross. I didn’t feel like playing that game either. I remember loving that game, but I just can’t even get into it. So I think I’ll just party like a rockstar this weekend and not play any video games.
Have just done my weekend workout on Ring Fit Adventure. Playing Steamworld Dig on Wii U, it's pretty addictive. If I finish it's a choice between Axiom Verge and Trine 2: Directors Cut.
I obtained my 100% in Kirby and the Forgotten Land last week, so I'm back to the grind doing shiny hunting in Pokémon Legends Arceus. Hunting Eevee outbreaks because I'm going for a team of shiny Eeveelutions. Found a shiny Scyther and Qwilfish in my travels so far today!
Great thumbnail. Too bad 35 of those 40 characters are utterly pointless.
My A500 mini arrived yesterday, so I'm mainly playing Simon the Sorceror.
Also playing Chip's Challenge on the Evercade and Gear.Club Unlimited 2 on the Switch.
Picked up Trials of Mana on sale recently so I’m plowing through that. My Switch basically has me trudging through one RPG after the next mostly tbh.
Lego Star Wars the Skywalker Saga (PS5) more Kirby Lucky's Tale and Astro Bot Rescue Mission.
When I'm not playing the arbitrary games of Tidy Up House and Mow Lawn (ugh), it'll be more of my two long-runners this weekend: Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and HW: Age of Calamity. I'm about to get my 4th badge in the former and keep getting sidetracked in the Grand Underground. I think I'm about halfway through the latter, but a lot of the side missions and fights are opening up. I'm almost overwhelmed! XD
I also might dive into a little bit of Octopath Traveler to fully determine whether or not the game is my cup of tea for the long haul.
Happy gaming!
kirby and the forgotten land and just bought one piece pirate warriors 3 Deluxe for £8 on sale.
Both very enjoyable games
@fafonio Fair question - but I picked Xenoblade Chronicles 3D before the Switch port was announced, and hadn’t gotten around to playing it. And I still like breaking out the 3DS as much as the Switch.
Me:
World of Solitaire (Switch): one of the best presentation of solitaire games, including achievements, custom rules, and collectibles. Loving this one.
SteamWorld Heist: Ultimate Edition (Switch)...INCREDIBLE game, really FANTASTIC.
Grip Combat Racing (Switch)....fast like F-zero and Redout, very nice game..like the old Rollcage (playstation-1).
Wife:
Binding of Isaac Repentance (Steam) - always chasing the achievements...her favorite game all time
Me and Wife:
Puyo Puyo Champions (Switch) battle mode - we love Puyo Puyo Tetris on Steam, and Puyo is our favorite puzzle game. Puyo Puyo Champions is a great game on Switch.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (Switch), battle mode....as usual...
Finishing Innocence - A Plague Tale. Also playing a bunch of demos of games that I'm very unlikely to buy. But I'm hoping to be surprised.
I'm hoping to proceed to chapter 2 of the Triangle Strategy prologue demo this weekend-- Life and time have been my greatest boss fights as of late. I'm going to also get back into Panzer Paladin to compliment it. I may try to slip in a little MK8D if time permits.
I'm getting married in August, so no buying any new games for the next couple of months. Honestly though, that's fine as it gives me a chance to play games that are on my backlog and/or visit some of my favorites.
Anyways for this weekend, with the announcement of Mario Golf coming to NSO, I'm feeling the itch to play Mario Golf: Super Rush again. Tomorrow will also be the Mudkip community day event in Pokemon Go, I don't necessarily need to do it but I am.
Drakengard 3, wrapping up Eastward.
Some good ol N64 wrestlin games. Yooka Laylee, which i can already tell I have mixed feelings about and can easily see myself dropping, and hopefully mario and luigi paper jam if it shows up correctly this weekend.
Continuing Triangle Strategy, hopefully will finish that in the next couple weeks. Then I’ll be buying multiple 3DS games.
I just started a new file on A Link Between Worlds on my 3DS. It's been awhile, so I forgot just how much fun it is.
On Switch, I'm playing Paper Mario on the N64 app and I still need to finish up Forgotten Land.
At home, I'll play some Sin and Punishment 2 and House of the Dead 2 & 3 on Wii U.
Have a great weekend everyone!
Chapter three of Ys VIII! Also, playing a lot of Cruisin’ Blast and absolutely loving it how bananas it is. I literally just unlocked a unicorn (spoiler? 😂). Happy weekend!
Forza 7, Tekken 7, Animal Crossing, Kirby, MK8D….
Just Beat: Strangers of Paradise-Final Fantasy Origin (Series X)
Now Playing: Star Ocean-First Departure (Switch) & Too Human (Series X)
Up Next: Chrono Cross-Radical Dreamers Edition (Series X)
@Bucket Simon the Sorcerer!? RESPECT!
I’m about to finish up Brilliant Diamond. After that I’ll be playing more of Legends Arceus and Forza Horizon 5. Maybe a bit of Fall Guys mixed in there as well.
Mario Sunshine (3d all stars). Got the turbo nozzle & rocket nozzle, started playing Sirena Beach (the haunted hotel), no idea how I got through some of these challenges on the cube back in the day. Some things are tougher than I remember. Also, playing Rocket League.
Possibly Skyward Sword. Stuck on that pirate ship, have to free those friendly bot guys locked in a cell.
Kirby and the Forgotten Land
@EarthboundBenjy Very cool idea!! Please share how you like it. I have the remake pre-ordered and am really looking forward to it!
I've been continuing Final Fantasy VIII and I just made it to the end of disc 1 on Thursday. I have to be honest, so far I'm very thoroughly enjoying it and I don't quite understand why it's so divisive. Personally, I really enjoy the junction system and the card minigame. Not to mention stealing the train with the Forest Owls, and trying to assassinate the sorceress was super fun. I guess I'll find out why as I continue but so far I love it.
Last night I came home and I was planning on continuing FF8 but I had a new idea for a build in Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition so I told myself I would only test it out for 30 minutes. Well, I ended up playing it for like 3 hours lol. I'm telling you even after 100% completion I always get sucked back into it!
@Vortexeo FF8 is one of the greats! Amazing story. Probably best love story out all of the Final Fantasy games.
Continuing my journey through Kirby and the Forgotten Land, I'm enjoying that game more than I had expected that I'm not really making any major progress, I'm just running around levels at this point.
Other than that, I'm going through Metroid Prime Hunters on the Wii U Virtual Console mostly as a means to see how DS games work on the Virtual Console. Not counting cutscenes, I'm playing Top Screen on TV and Touch Screen on the Wii U GamePad.
I'm revisiting Celestial Archives after getting the first four Octoliths.
It's surprisingly more comfortable to play this version rather than the DS original.
I got some funds on the eShop, I might get something in the Wii U. If not, they'll be saved for future, more expensive purchases.
EDIT: In the end, I decided to get the confusingly-titled Super Mario Bros. 3: Super Mario Advance 4 (I just realized it's actually called Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3 officially) and the not-confusingly-titled Super Mario Advance.
I recently saw a listing in Facebook Marketplace, if the seller ships to other states within Mexico, the prices are right, they're still available and (most important) the seller responds (I have had times where I couldn't buy something simply because the seller couldn't be arsed to respond an inbox), I might get Kirby: Planet Robobot, the Pokémon Colosseum Bonus Disc and probably a Bayonetta amiibo (Player 1).
@Krull well, if you’re not that far into it (me having played both) I would recommend the Switch one because of the updated graphics. You’ll find an even more gorgeous game beneath (the 3D one is really good and pretty in it by itself) but the new epilogue will give you even more Xenoblade Chronicles to enjoy.
Btw… if you’re hunting all XC content…. You should REALLY play XCX … I sometimes can’t decide which is the better game. XCX really is a unique experience, I haven’t played anything like it ever since…
Got the Chrono Cross remaster so I'll be running through that. Never got very far in the original so I'm excited to give it another try. For PS4 I'm playing through Persona 5 Royal at the moment, and slowly making my way through Trails of Cold Steel III.
SUPER MARIO 3D WOOORLD!!!
Maybe a little Paperboy (NES) tonight!
Maybe some… idk, lots of options! Another Captain Toad Treasure tracker level or two? Another run through Kero Blaster? Don’t want to start anything new if I can help it. Nearing the end of 3D World so I can finally play Bowser’s Fury!
@WoomyNNYes We’re all getting soft!! 🤣
Still stuck on Rune Factory 5, can’t decide who to marry. Ludmilla’s great and also way taller than my character, I love Beatrice’s design, Ryker’s a cringey edgelord which I love, but Lucas has had my absolute favorite lines in the game so far. Aaahhh, such tough choices.
I will play some monster hunter rise high rank, try to 100% Kirby, and play some Metroid prime. Have a great weekend everyone!
Seeing Sonic 2 Today, also playing some Minecraft and MK8. Im Starting a Thread: Post your best MK8 DLC Track Times. Look at the thread for more info, should be going up about 5 min. after this is posted
Kirby for me along with some Chrono Cross!
This week I will be mostly playing
Kirby
I'm replaying Streets of Rage 4. This game is always a blast.
I just finished XC2: Torna tonight.
Mr Driller Drill Land, brilliant game currently on sale at a great price!
Still Dungeon Encounters, reached Floor 60, and griding to save my dead party
Rune Factory 5! At 50 hours now and still having a good time with it.
@Sam_ATLUS spoiler free, it's more of a story based game mixed with small area to explore and gather info.
The story is the major shine for the game, if you're into storytelling gameplay mixed with strategy role play(like fire emblem and final fantasy tactics) the combat is spot on, can experiment with a lot of elements and tactics to outwit your opponents.
If you're into srpg then you will fall in love with this.
Finished the Pantheon of Hallownest in Hollow Knight last week, so I’ll maybe take a break from HK for a while. Instead, I’ll continue with some Gunman Clive 2 and Capcom beat em up bundle. Currently playing King of Dragons on the latter, enjoying that game more than Final Fight!
Idk about Banjo Kazooie this time around, I kinda want to clean up my backlog on Switch before getting any more games, which is why I wished for a Best Buy gift card for my birthday, which is this week.
Skywalker saga is my world right now. Have completed all 9 films but there is so much more to do u which to me is more fun than the main story xxx
If I have anytime over this weekend will probably be Kirby the Forgotten World or Atelier Ryza 2.
Advancing down the hole that is Warframe😫😂 Maybe the occasional Shin Megami or Monster Hunter🤔
Twisted Metal 2 (PS) - I decided to finally complete this with all characters.
007: Quantum of Solace (PS2) - I can safely say that this is the best version of this game hands down.
ExZeus 2 (Windows Phone) - Still replaying levels for high scores.
Just finished the main story of Kirby and the Forgotten Land, so I’m going to continue trying to 100% complete it as well as playing Lego Star Wars the Skywalker Saga and Fortnite.
I planned on playing LEGO Star Wars...but the PC port was borked.
Then i hoped i could substitute that for some quality Chrono Cross time...then that turned out to be borked...
Yeah...no real idea, all planned stuff kinda caught fire...
@Rpg-lover Sounds like Triangle Strategy will be up my street. I'll be sure to pick it up soon.
More Kirby, surprised just how much game there is.
Elden Ring (PC) - Targeting Lichdragon Fortissax today.
God of War (PC) - Completed the main game in January, now I wanna find all collectibles.
Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga (NSW) - Just finished episode 2.
