@Toastmaster @Daimando I didnt realise it was Sony behind this, just checked and it Guerrilla which is Sony owned right? I assumed as with past games it was Travellers Tales - wonder if they lost/have to share lego rights now. More interested in this now to see how it turns out, new perspective (dev) and all
Great news, take your time, get a great script and concept together and release an amazing sequel - I'm willing to wait as long as is needed for a great follow up
With there being no direct for september im guessing the pipeline is sparse now and my money is on the next direct being the Switch successor reveal, but when that is who knows
I'm not a framerate hog i.e. i dont need 60 to enjoy games, im on the other spectrum where i prefer a stable framerate instead so I'd welcome a locked 30 here
Doesnt sound interesting to me, maybe as a feature to walk through as you're heading into the theme park maybe but not as a dedicated facility - i'd be surprised if it remained open for that long.
@Zuljaras Let me know how you get on with The Last Faith - I’ve been contemplating that but apparently there’s a game breaking bug at the moment limiting the number of health jars (not sure if that’s right name) that you can get to 7. I’m keen on this but holding back as I can’t find word on if a fix was released or not. Hope you get Zelda ASAP! It’s worth the wait regardless so enjoy it when it comes
I’m absolutely no law expert, but filing after its release - could that even be valid an argument in court as it’s done after the fact? Wouldn’t it be like Cities Skylines releasing then EA filing a patent on City Building game designs (as they own Sim City) after Cities Skylines release, then going after them in court? ( random example I know)
@RupeeClock I'd be happy (and much prefer) a 30fps lock rather than variable. Only Nintendo knows why they didnt lock it, maybe they cant with the engine
I'd be happy if this was legit. Legit or no, the leaks have been quite convincing. I like the analogue triggers they added to the joycon - I pressume thats what they are, the larger screen is nice though the jury would be out on quality as the OLED is great. For now I think Nintendo are right in more of the same, as I cant see the next console doing as well as the Switch (though I'm definately not saying it'll do badly - just the fact that Switch sold like hotcakes)
@HatesCheese Truth be told in the UK I've had better luck ordering from Amazon for release day than Nintendo lately, however that fault most likely lies with Royal Mail not Nintendo
@Earl_Grey It could be very confusing, they'd need to slap a great big number 2 on the box and all marketing at least. Dont go for anything fancy naming wise if this is an accurate representation of what we'll get
Oh wow! I really enjoyed this on the Vita back in the day before they shut the online aspect of it down - I'll definately dive back into this again for nostalgia!
Great game but the machincs were abit much for me. I dont have much gaming time now so i'd drop off then pick it up again and not have a clue on the combos
@Max_the_German I'm the opposite on this, i'd prefer a stable locked 30fps as im in the opposite camp of I dont mind lower frame rates, its frame rate instability that makes gaming uncomfortable to me. Wondering if its possible for devs to put in an optional FPS limit option to cater to both types of gamers preference. For me I like the option on deck to limit FPS, something like that would be nice to have but not essential
I enjoyed it for an hour or 2 but thats enough for me, got boring quickly. Cant complain at the price/value for money though. For those enjoying it, hope it sticks around for some time
Looking forward to this, however I really do hope they bring it to the new Nintendo console too either via patches or a re-release. The load times/turns of Civ 6 on switch can get grating at times, wondering how 7 will perform in that regard
@Eel Thanks for the tip, I guess thats as good as it gets. I noticed in the NL review they mention the same complaint - their idea of highlithing/disabling exhausted options seems like it would have been a good idea to implement
@gcunit This is exactly my issue. Towards the end of each scene there seems no real logical option to click bar hitting each option/seaching the scene - looking for any useful tips on this, but to me it seems more like the design of the game than anything you can really pick up on and get used to
And yes, that bloody bus stop scene - that was frustrating and iirc the correct option was so random you would never think of it
I'm enjoying the game but find the 'gameplay' abit hit and miss, when conversations are nearing their conclusion i usually find myself just randomly selecting all the options just to hit the right one to progress - does anyone have any tips for me on this, or is this just a product of its design? I will be getting the game however as the story really intrigues me and definately want to see where it goes.
@Truegamer79 for me Alien hasnt been that great since the Aliens movie. Its like terminator, in hindsight I'd have been happy if both series ended after the 2nd. Prometheus for me was a movie I wish I'd never watched, as it really killed the mistique behidn the derelict on LV426 - I always wondered when I was younger about that derelict, who were they, where from etc etc. Now we have the answer its lost alot of that
@Truegamer79 I remember some years back there was alot of rumbling about something like this happening, I'm sure it was by Neill Blomkamp. There was some concept art available online and probably still is now, if I'm correct and it was Neill he seemed really keen on getting the movie off the ground but ultimately it came to nothing (it may be because Prometheus was greenlit but I cant recall) - such a shame that it never happened. Also theres an interesting manuscript that might be still available online which I read for a version of Alien 3, where the planet is made of wood (dont ask, I have no idea ) and Hicks survives - might be worth a look. Also I have the darkhorse comic of Alien 3 by William Gibson (a scifi author) which is also interesting. It seems like there are so many ways that Alien 3/the aweful Alien Ressurection may never have happened the way they did, but we got what we got
@WhiteUmbrella I think the key takeaway is that Nintendo cant really please everyone. For me I love the Switch but I only play handheld, as at present my lifestyle only allows that. If Nintendo released a home console I wouldnt buy it as I simply wouldnt be able to use it. The advantage we all need to take from their current concept is their game output - as they collapsed their handheld and console dev's into one it (should) mean more output/more chances for people to play a wider variety of games. Before Switch I had 3DS and Vita - some great games on them, however I felt that big releases that appealed to me were few and far between - Metal Gear 3D, Killzone Mercenaries etc whereas with Switch I have had the pleasure to play some amazing games such as Witcher 3, Doom 2016, Mario Wonder, Luigi's Mansion 3 and currently really enjoying Ace Combat 7 to name but a drop in the ocean of games I've had the chance to play. But this is definately a case of they cant please everyone, as I guess there are many many Nintendo fans who would love a dedicate home console from them, I'm just not one of them.
@Lizuka I was very surprised at the numbers too, I would have thought they would have been much higher - hopefully it survives long enough for people to enjoy it who currently are
I’m really happy with how this turned out. Was expecting it to be pretty blurry or maybe another Arkham Knight but was so pleasantly surprised when I first played. The fact they put the full game on cartridge too is great and justifies the higher price for me personally for the physical.
@OctolingKing13 my guess is it is included, they just need to enable it i.e. enabled=true to prevent people with early copies getting the jump on others
@SwitchVogel totally agree, I much prefer creativity like this over more of the same with some new additions. I think it helps the original keep its value - I hate to say it on a Nintendo site but Splatoon 3 is a game I feel this way about. I’ve tried so many times to get into it, but after playing so much of 2 I think I’m pretty burned out on the formula they have, even though for all intents and purposes 3 is the better game. Personally I think I’d have preferred a longer wait and have 3 on the next Nintendo console
I like they did something very different to the origional, as its feels like I can always go back to the origional and enjoy that for its own unique experience in the darkest dungeon world
Something that is a big win for me, is that the full game is on cartridge by the looks of it, no download was required when i started it up. I was worried it might have GB's worth to download, the dreaded 'Internet Download Required' message on front of the box.

Re: Forget 'Switch 2', Nintendo Has Just Revealed An Official Alarm Clock
@TheBigK I get up easily with my alarm so I think that’s why it would irritate me, but good point for heavier sleepers it would do the job!
Re: Forget 'Switch 2', Nintendo Has Just Revealed An Official Alarm Clock
Personally i'd hate waking up to those sorts of noises, coins etc - i'd find it very annoying very quickly
Re: LEGO Horizon Adventures Estimated Switch File Size Seemingly Revealed
@Toastmaster In that case, I'd love to see a redo of Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit, but doubt that will happen

Its a goal I could never have in a game, it'll take me a month atleast to finish this - good targets to aim for the speed runners!
