Their comments in the video of Nintendo's attitude being 'it wont happen to us' just sounds like arrogance and hubris on Nintendo's part - if this attitude at Nintendo internally is true then they deserve this wake up call. As Kit and Krysta mentioned, times have changed, Nintendo need to change their mindset and approach too

@JohnnyMind @Cipher36 just got my physical (Asia - English) and can confirm online does work. I did buy it digitally last week and played a little and confirm that my save game does work with the physical too (atleast the Asia - English copy) so probably same game on cartridge as western eshop release.
I got airport hero haneada physically some time back, then got digital so I could get the DLC and the save game for that was not compatible.

@OorWullie One piece of advice I have is to use the tank controls, not the modern ones - I really struggled with modern controls. The old 'tank' controls feel weird at first these days but the added precision it offers made the game easier for me (making jumps etc)

@OorWullie I've only played 1 and 2 so I cant provide a concrete answer, but from what I've seen online over the years it seems the series tapered off, apparently Angel of Darkness isnt very popular but I cant recall why. If you're mulling over which collection to get in my opinion based on online feedback I'd go 1-3 (you could get physical if you fancy that)

Ive still got 1-3 to finish, ended up double dipping with physical so I think this is a good one to sit on for the hopefully inevitable physical later this year

If buying physical in the UK from there beware you may be subject to import duty, I was recently for Hyperlight difter - it was £16 import duty to pay so just be aware. Worth it though if you want the physical, just factor that into the final cost

Nintendo are just filling gaps in the Switch release schedule now with subpar efforts - to be expected as the big devs will all have been working likely years now on Switch 2 games

For me aslong as we're not inundated with games on or around release its ok, I dont want to end up in backlog hell almost immediately on Switch 2 - I'm only just making a good effort on finishing Mario Wonder now

@obijuankanoobie my best guess would be the latter, a leak from a factory to Genki or something. Nintendo might be able to force Genki to release where they got this detail from but I haven’t a clue as I don’t know anything on these sorts of laws

For me I couldnt pick a list, the thing that stands out to me the most with Switch are the impossible ports we received - Witcher 3, Doom, Crysis amongst many others - I’ll definitely have fond memories of this little machine in years to come

It feels like Nintendo need to start working around these leaks now in their schedule of announcment - do it too soon and it could be drown out by all these rumours and noise, leave it too late and people could be underenthusiastic if they announce the exact hardware we're seeing here

I still have Tropical Freeze on my shelf to play so I really dont think I'll ever get round to playing this unless I really enjoy TF

Looks like nice initial support for the platform from 3rd parties. Theres a few games I'd like from each of those - RDR2, Starfield, Star Wars Jedi Survivor amongst a wishlist of others

I have a feeling if Nintendo leave it too long from now (another month or 2) the wind could be taken from their sails when they do eventually announce it, especially if what we've been seeing these last weeks are true. The big plus is we've seen no game footage yet

When I saw a guy on a flight in 2017 with a Switch (I didn’t know what it was at the time) I thought it looked ridiculous for a handheld in terms of size - it was massive! - however now it’s normalised, same will happen with Switch 2

@Dazman that graphic would be cool to see, I'll have a look for it! I must admit i'd love GTA6 on Switch 2 but I cant see it myself, maybe 5? Some nice 3rd party ports would do me just fine, theres so much out there I've not played

@Dazman I played a few of their games on my Steam Deck and they were decent, Horizon and Unchartered 4 though I must admit they do go on abit too long for me - then again, being on PC they're not exlusive now

Oh and on the USB port on top - could that just be a development kit we're seeing? Developers could be using that port for uploading their game builds onto a unit for testing and we could see that port missing from the consumer models

Id say that docked it will have higher power consumption than the OG Switch and on top of this while playing it also needs to be charging the battery too so need to take that into account

@WhiteTrashGuy is like an option like that too but Nintendo being Nintendo I’d be surprised if they made such an option available to us but very happy to be proven wrong

@John_Deacon that sounds like it could be painful, I had to change mine once but was easy with new joycons (but a total waste of otherwise usable joycons)

@mikegamer on one of Digital Foundry's recent weekly videos I'm sure they mentioned that it appears as though Nintendo are using a different mechanism for their joycon but for the life of me I cant recall what it was called - they seem to think if true it would eliminate drift which I really hope so! I always wondered how Switch Lite users got on if they had drift, as its a single unit so not easy to replace

If patching games for Switch 2 is a thing, I really hope Arkham Knight gets one else the new console is able to brute force it with additional performance available - thats if Nintendo dont throttle it to Switch performance/clock speeds for emulation in which case

Really looking forward to this, just hope my fond memories aren’t being affected by rose tinted glasses

A few of these I want on the next console, especially Civ 7 which I hope receives a Switch 2 patch as the map size is going to be limited on Switch

@Yosti I wondered a while back if Nintendo were toying with the idea of a pro back before OLED/was supposed to be the OLED refresh but what with supply chain issues (transistors etc) at the time OLED was the only feasible route. I doubt we’d ever know anyway, or if we do it’d be in decades time. Either way new console inbound, that’s all that matters as I think the hardware is in desperate need of a refresh

I’ve noticed quite a few pop up on Amazon for preorder lately which is nice, I saw yesterday Caravan Sandwitch is getting a physical which I’ll get, Little Kitty Big City also on Amazon for preorder aswell

@Cipher36 that sounds promising, thanks, hopefully it is the case - I’ve had the dlc issues before with imports which made me weary on online connectivity

@dartmonkey @MattAllsopp yeah it was fine for me, I bought UK time around 10:20pm yesterday, I assumed it was a 10pm launch as I’ve seen titles available around that time

I bought it last night in the UK with no issues, installed and played fine - it wasn’t available prior to this

@KBuckley27 good point! It does say in the original post it’ll be 9 years since Nintendo announced the existence of Switch (March 2015) - I’m hoping this announcement isn’t something along the same lines and we still have quite some time to wait yet for reveal/launch

I really feel a reveal in January is coming based on the recent leaks/traction it’s getting. As for release, no idea

I have enjoyed the game so far, but I was actually disappointed with the way the overworld was handled - I was hoping for a more dynamic campaign map however it seems very linear from what I've played and looking at the zone levels online (world map). Still, a good game

@NintenGuy for me i think what we're getting is just Switch with more power and refinements. Im fine with that as I think theyre onto a winning formula with the design (hybrid) but it really does make me wonder where they could go next with a console - thats where the creative ingenuity at Nintendo comes in

@Dee123 yep PEGI will be in the pocket of these big firms - they can cry from the rooftop that they arent but hell would freeze over the day they give an EA title like FC 25 an 18+ rating

I have a feeling if these latest news articles are true then we'll see a reveal and launch real soon, a few months. Or knowing Nintendo it'll be November next year.....

@Ryu_Niiyama agreed and this sounds right to me. Its between the developers, Nintendo has nothing to do with this apart from removing the games from the store front should the origional Unpacking dev win a lawsuit asking for such action

@tektite_captain I’m hoping if these designs are relatively accurate their marketing department take the most logical approach and slap a 2 at the end of the name - nothing fancy to avoid confusion like Switch Next or some such

Really hoping those triggers are real, they look like they could be analogue triggers which would be a nice addition
