Re: Assassin's Creed Shadows' Beefy Switch 2 File Size Has Been Revealed

@UpsideDownRowlet Unfortunatrly based on Ubisofts comments and Digital Foundry’s findings around game cards in relation to Star Wars outlaws, it seems we may see more GKC’s due to technically limitations around the data transfer rates of game cards just not being high enough to stream the game content - it’s sad to hear as I love physicals, and I’m surprised the game cards don’t have a much higher transfer rate than they currently do

I did enjoy 2k21 on Switch, this looks like a nice upgrade as the crowds appear to be present now for a start.
Just curious what the monetisation model is like as I’d read some steam reviews prior that said it was pay to win

Re: "Lighting Is The Crucial Factor" - How Square Enix Made Final Fantasy VII Remake Look Great On Switch 2

I've been really happy with some of the bigs ports so far, it seems like developers are really spending time to tweak everything to get them looking and running well on Switch 2, like Cyberpunk 2077, Star Wars Outlaws and this.
I've got my fingers crossed for Elden Ring (afterall, look how bad Outlaws was appearing to be a mere week or 2 before release) but from what people responded to me when I mentioned this before, I think I need to temper my expectations somewhat on that one due to its performance elsewhere

Re: Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade Director Highlights The Speed Problem With Switch 2 Game Cards

@Gamer_Griff @GravyThief I'm certain digital foundry mentioned Switch 2 Cartridges are around 400-500MBps

Edit: Just checked the video (their weekly roundup video from 2 weeks ago) and they say the internal SSD is around 2.1GBps, SD Express 800-900MBps, Switch 2 Carts (using EMMC standard) which has a max transfer of 400MBps

The above is pretty much copied verbatum from that video. Link here if interested https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TMWPIT7F5e4&t=1438s
