@Neonix is definitely appreciate that, going through P3R right now, very enjoyable but I hear 5 is best, have it on my shelf for Switch but heard it looks abit rough on Switch 2
@andykara2003 can add me to that list, tried Assassins Creed Shadows, got 8 hours in and by that point I was far too fatigued and just thought ‘not this again’
@larryisaman my best guess is the gulf between the handheld and portable specs, it took me by surprise how reduced the specs are in handheld compared to docked when they were revealed - not sure if Switch 1 had such a difference docked/handheld, but like you say at least we do get the option of handheld. As I’m 100% handheld, it’s obviously essential for me (a traditional console is a no go right now)
Something about it really captured my attention, and played several hours before other games came along. For now I’m waiting on a potential Switch 2 edition but if one doesn’t materialise I think I’ll eventually get this completed as-is
I tried it last week post patch and the resolution and textures to me still aren’t good enough. In the cafe at the beginning the shimmering/aliasing on so many surfaces looks like something that could be migraine inducing, was just very uncomfortable to look at.
Here’s hoping for a Switch 2 edition, but I do really appreciate they keeping working on it, just one last push please WB/Turn Me Up
@Lizuka I’m really enjoying so far, 67 hours in with probably another 15 to go. Quick question, did you play The Answer DLC? I’ve been reading mixed opinions on that online and am unsure whether to pick it up or not
If a friend has a physical, borrow that, buy anniversary upgrade, then get the Switch 2 edition. Return cartridge to friend and you can play without the cartridge, as it’s a separate app
Basically with it the way it works now, you can get it for £8.99
@Shhh oh yeah for sure, when I use motion controls with a bow I can certainly feel something is a little off, but not to the extent I see in videos - I probably have hand eye coordination issues or something 😀 as based on everything I’ve seen there’s no denying there’s a big issue with the game
Weirdly this isn’t affecting me, I’ve just completed Bleak Falls Barrow and on my way to turn in quests.
Definitely not denying there’s an issue here as the evidence is right there, but for me I don’t seem as susceptible to this latency. For reference I also don’t see much of an improvement in games from 30 to 60 fps and I’m terrible at games such as fighting games so might explain why I’m not as affected.
Might be worth people giving it a go as like me you may not notice it as much
@BaldB3lper78 I just actually loaded it up on Switch 2, and it’s still terrible. The resolution is so low in the opening scene in the cafe that everything appears to be moving on screen due to the aliasing, it’d probably give you a headache with prolonged use
@SlimeRyu I managed to play about 2 minutes of FF7 demo last night and my word, that looks like its going to be a stellar port - 2 minutes and I was blown away, now to find more time to actually play it properly
@BaldB3lper78 SwitchUp on Youtube do all patched up videos every so often which I find useful, they do mention Knight often so hopefully they cover it soon - might be worth keeping an eye out there for their feedback, I'm so keen for this game to be 'fixed' on Switch 2
@rvcolem1 I think the review was deserved when you look at how the game could/should be. I think the Switch was too ambitious a port to tackle in all honesty as I recall this on its original 2015 release there were so many issues performance wise on anything but PS3. This game actually runs and looks really great on Steam Deck, so I think in reality a Switch 2 port of this would have made more sense
I don’t know how much work would be involved but a Switch 2 Edition of just this game would most likely sort a lot if not all of the problems out. I’m really hoping they’re looking at doing that
@The-Chosen-one I wouldn’t say terrible, but definitely basic and stripped back so much, I’m guessing for Switch 1, then they just quickly bumped textures and res and slapped a Switch 2 edition logo on it
@Axelay71 Beyond looks great, hope youre enjoying it! I have it but set aside as a gift from the wife for Christmas, too big a game for now while I've got Persona 3 going.
@Axelay71 Positive for me these days, I'm really getting open world fatigure now. Outlaws and Shadows, really like them both but after some 30 hours/10 hours respectively I just cant pull myself to play anymore. Clocked 50 hours in Persona 3 reload so far and enjoying alot more, though Tartarus can grate
As a massive fan of the movie, this was all but essential to me - its just what I wanted from it. Been playing since last night and the nastolgia - love it! For people who arent fans of the movie they probably wont be too keen, but those who are just buy it!
I did enjoy the aesthetic on Switch however I came across multiple game breaking bugs that just halted progress quite early on that I shelved it - I did look at updates for it relatively recently but don’t recall any mention if they have resolved these
I'll be playing Switch 2, but so pleased the Switch 1 version came out looking so well as that was the initial target console for it and deserves a great version
@Gamemoose in a way I hope that doesn’t resolve the issue, as that means there’s an issue with the Switch 2 itself as they/Nvidia set the clock speeds/thermal thresholds
I probably cant be helpful - played for 4 hours over a handful of sessions, short 20-30 minutes, only in handheld and not a crash yet. Really hope a patch comes soon for those experiencing these (and it will probably hit me at some point) as I know first hand from other games it’s so frustrating when you have to halt a playthrough awaiting a patch or 2
I like everything about it apart from lack of OLED, I really did enjoy that on my Switch and do miss it, plus the current built in screen isnt the best. Also, battery could do with lasting a little longer - hopefully a revision down the line. Overall for me a 7/10
@OldGamer999 from what we've seen from Ubi so far I think it should be a decent port, but proof will be in the pudding (as we saw with Outlaws pre-release footage/gameplay I'd ignore that for Shadows if anything looks bad)
@conditionals I really like Rain Code so recommend giving that a go. I’m on the fence with this due to reviews, and I’m sure I’m in the minority as I wasn’t keen on Hundred Line but love Danganronpa series
@OldGamer999 fully agree, to see Outlaws running on it in such a good way shows they out a lot of effort into the port - was great seeing a current gen game come to Switch in such a nice package
This to me screams Switch 1 version with higher res, minor improvmements and higher frame rates. If this was a Switch 1 release only I’d be very happy, but for Switch 2 and what it’s capable off the port falls well short, there’s no arguing that regardless how you feel how well it runs
Happy enough but visuals aren’t the best and I’m going to wait for a little to see if a patch drops for gyro support for shooting, struggling abit so could really do with that to enjoy it more
@UpsideDownRowlet Unfortunatrly based on Ubisofts comments and Digital Foundry’s findings around game cards in relation to Star Wars outlaws, it seems we may see more GKC’s due to technically limitations around the data transfer rates of game cards just not being high enough to stream the game content - it’s sad to hear as I love physicals, and I’m surprised the game cards don’t have a much higher transfer rate than they currently do
@Dark-Luigi had to just google image search your icon as I know that would have bugged me all day wondering where it was from as I know I've seen her, now I know why - love that series but been a long time since Vita I think
@MamaSymphonia good to know - no idea why I thought it was sooner, in all honesty I thought it had already passed this year in late september or October. Good to always be learning something though!
I did enjoy 2k21 on Switch, this looks like a nice upgrade as the crowds appear to be present now for a start. Just curious what the monetisation model is like as I’d read some steam reviews prior that said it was pay to win
To have waited so many years for this to come to Switch, now we have Switch 2 and they release it - looking at the graphics it feels abit of a kick in the teeth now after waiting for so long, a good Switch 2 port would be preferred at this point
@AG_Awesome I’m really desperate for a Switch 2 update. I tried it in my steam deck quite a while back and it looked and played really well, so on Switch 2 I think it would also

Wow thought DK would have taken pole, but congrats to Hades. Very happy to see Persona 3 on the list in 12. And Cyberpunk 2077, what a game!

@Lizuka thanks! I might do same, I am really enjoying the story but burning out on Tartarus, and I heard the DLC was a lot more of that/grind

Re: PSA: Skyrim's 'Anniversary Edition' Bundle Is Currently 60% Off, Includes Free Switch 2 Upgrade (Europe)
@mackers84 yeah a good price at that. I’ve had the physical since 2018, and noticed after Switch 2 update didn’t need the cartridge anymore to launch

@MJL on your point of dev kits, my mind went straight to Baldurs Gate 3 port

That’s great news as it means Larian have a Switch 2 dev kit(s) which I hope means Baldurs Gate 3 is in the pipeline
