Definitely hyped for the movie, but obviously I'll most likely pass on this game. It just looks like your average platformer. Would be great if it turned out to be something really good though!
Everything is nice except for the 30 post limit. I don't think it would be a problem for me, but I can imagine some people would hit that limit every day. The two minute wait was fine imo. Hopefully when SmileBASIC comes out it won't become a problem for me, as I plan on posting a lot about that.
I only have 50 coins left, so, unless they do a last minute flash sale on games, (Which would be kind of dumb) I'm not getting anything else. I'm happy with what I was able to get, though!
The App Store is definitely inconsistent. This game isn't allowed, yet Super Bros. was on the App Store long enough to make it to the top chart!
The whole game was basically Super Mario World assets with the eyes edited out.
Nothin' for me... Well, except the Smash controller, could come in hand- Wait, it's not free?! Why? They already developed it for Smash 3DS, and it's not like it comes with a game or anything... Whatever, I usually have Smash 3DS in my 3DS anyways.
Still waiting for SmileBASIC, as usual. Seems like it's coming pretty soon!
Ugh Nintendo, why would they do it so early on a Sunday? I'm going to be at church, and it will become even harder for me to concentrate if I'm wondering what this video is going to be about. I won't be able to stop thinking Kirby Air Ride 2 will be announced either. (And if that does happen, I want to find out through the hype of a video, not just get home and see an article saying it was announced.)
@RantingThespian Good point, actually. Can't believe MYST didn't come to mind until I read your comment, as I used to play it all the time when I was younger, and it's actually what my username originated from! Definitely should be in there.
I personally hate this update, and I don't even follow many people. If someone posts more than two things between times I check Miiverse though, guess what? I have to go to the page of every person I follow, which is just slow and clunky. Most people are saying it hasn't improved load times either. I really hope they fix this by making it optional.
Seriously, I thought this was going to be all over the states, and was really looking forward to it since my Best Buy usually holds the E3 events. I would have loved to give it a shot, but I'm not driving all the way to New York just to try something I'd probably lose anyways... And why are they only using the 3DS NES Remix? That seems like a weird decision. Plus, if that's all they're using for qualifying, why on earth are they only doing 8 locations?! It can't be hard to send a 3DS or two to 100 or 200 different locations... Oh well...
Even if it is real, it probably wouldn't be customizable. It would probably just be the generic Mii Brawler/Fighter/Gunner. That said, I would love to be able to buy customized Mii Amiibo!
Sounds good to me. I definitely know what he means when he says a lot of Nintendo's different programs and things were like patchwork. Club Nintendo seemed really disconnected and clunky the way you had to link it to your system, for example. With the Nintendo Network, they've definitely been improving on this.
All I know is that when this video releases, I'll be scouring it for ANYTHING that could hint a new Kirby Air Ride. In fact... Reggie is wearing pink... Kirby is pink!.. KAR2 CONFIRMED!
Aww, man, I hope this doesn't mean there won't be a full Lego Doctor Who game, because I've been hoping there would be one ever since Lego Doctor Who was announced. This all still awesome though! Portal, Doctor Who, Lord of the Rings... Must... Resist... Buying!..
@Mega719 Sorry to burst your bubble, but most likely none of these Nintendo attractions will open until 2016 at the earliest. From the sound of it, they're still in the early planning stages. So they still need to finalize plans, create the final designs, and of course, build them.
Didn't anyone else see Super Bros. on the App Store? I spotted it on the top charts before it was removed. It basically used all Super Mario World graphics, but with all the eyes edited out, and Mario had a top hat. I'm not kidding here.
My best Kirby memories are about Kirby Air Ride. (Gee, who'd of thought?!?! ) It started... Probably around the game's launch. I don't remember why exactly, but I wanted to actually buy the game with my own money, which is something I didn't do very often. I can't really remember what compelled me... Maybe I saw a commercial, maybe the ability to fly excited my obsession of flight simulators, maybe I had played the game at a friends house, I'm not sure. Thankfully, in this case anyways, it was also a time where I didn't really care to go online and check out the reviews of a game; If it looked fun, I just went out and bought it. The earliest date I know I had the game is November, 2007, when I wrote in my journal and proclaimed myself the "Kirby Air Ride Champion" for beating my friends at City Trial three times in a row! Memories include just laughing and having fun with my friends, causing rage among each other, playing around in City Trial free run with my sister, and countless other one-time moments, like the time my sister and I had a perfect tie in a race, (We literally had the exact same time, down to the hundredths!) the time my brother accidentally wiped all the game's save data, or the time the secret chamber in Castle Hall opened with all ups, and I got them all! Besides that, even after all these years, I still make new discoveries. It wasn't that long ago that I realized you can spin to avoid getting hit, or how to float up to the rooftops without a star, or that the air ride machine formation event isn't actually completely useless. Top all that with the memories of constantly hoping a sequel will be announced, the hype I had for Smash Run, (Which I had predicted. I was saying "I bet they'll announce City Trial for Smash Bros.!" as a joke, because I never actually thought that would happen!) and how angry I was when Rosalina's reveal trailer wasn't Kirby Air Ride 2. This game is chock full of fun memories for me, and will always remain my favorite multiplayer game! (Until Kirby Air Ride 2 comes around!)
Somehow I didn't realize there was another traditional Kirby game on SNES besides Super Star... I never really knew Dreamland 3 existed until now.
Anyways, voted for Air Ride in the poll. I've never been a huge Kirby fan, but I have spent countless, countless hours playing Air Ride with friends. Still waiting for a sequel, as always...
Baby Park would be great, but Neo Bowser City is probably my least favorite track from Mario Kart 7... Hopefully they'll make it good if it does come to 8.
On one hand I feel like Ramirez is going through too much trouble and effort for this and should just forget about it, but on the other hand we all tried warning Schuets that this would happen, but he wouldn't listen, and so he kind of deserves it...
I really wish you guys could do these better... All that's happening is the sprite layer is popping out a bit while the background layer sits back. In the end it just looks weird and unimpressive. Samus looks likes she's floating over the ground, backgrounds and enemies have no sense of depth, etc. I understand that would take a lot more work, but when all you can do is this, it really doesn't seem worth the time and effort to do it.
Huh, interesting... I feel like the Donkey Kong Country games, and many others for that matter, apply here, too. I'll try to keep this in mind if I ever develop any games.
Meh, I'm gonna stick with Mario Party 3. The linear boards, lack of interesting items, and the kart mechanic just kind of ruin it for me. I haven't tried it yet, and I'd like to give it a shot, but it just looks so watered down compared to 2 or 3.
Also, I really wish people would stop asking for online- or at least, stop saying they'll only buy it if it had online. Because, if it did have online, I'm pretty sure there would be rage quits, connection errors, and eventually, hackers galore, and you would barely ever be able to finish any parties. I guess being able to play with friends online would be different though, but even then it's just not the same as playing with all your friends together in one place.
@ColdingLight Hey, I never once actually said "I am grown up"! In fact, I'm not! (I'm 17) When I am however, that doesn't mean my personal convictions and standards are just suddenly going to change, and that doesn't mean I won't get a kick out of silly avatars either. When I am grown up, well, I'll probably always sort of be a kid at heart. Which I honestly don't see any problem with.
So, perhaps the best way to sum up this argument is by saying this: If you think me not playing a game with a swear word in the title and having a DK temper tantrum avatar (Although, I'm telling ya, he's tap dancing! ) is childish, well, then I'm childish, and I'm proud!
@ColdingLight Well, like I said before, I mentioned the Wii U not because I don't have one, but because I'm just surprised it's not coming considering who's developing it. Besides, this game is coming to PC as well, so if I did want it, I'd just get it for my computer.
As for the avatar... Really? You think because one swear word slipped past Nintendo of America's localization team into the end of a two minute long song that people usually skip anyways would ruin an entire game (And it's reputation) for me? C'mon I'm not that sensitive. I'll play a game with a few swear words in it if I want to play the game bad enough (Though that doesn't mean I approve or anything, and I'd always rather not have swearing if possible); Although, I'm not going to play a game where I feel uncomfortable just saying it's name, which would be the case here. Also, my avatar is just a funny DK64 ROM corruption I found. I always thought it looked more like he was tap dancing, but I guess it could work either way. Come to think of it though, it may be time for me to get a new avatar. I've had this one for a while...
@ColdingLight Actually, I don't need to "grow up." I just have stricter convictions and moral standards because of my faith and personality, and I'd rather not play a game with a lot of swearing in it, much less in the title. As for the Wii U thing, I'm not upset it's not coming to my "precious Wii U" (I don't even have a Wii U yet), I mentioned the Wii U soley because I was just surprised it's being made by Game Freak and SEGA (Two companies that are pretty close to Nintendo) and isn't coming to Wii U. I guess I didn't make that clear enough. Finally, regardless of the name or platform, I still wouldn't care about the game, as it just doesn't look like something I'd be interested in anyways. Putting the swear word in the name basically just made me less interested in it than I would have been in the first place.
What the heck is this? They put a swear word in the title?!?! It's skipping Wii U?!?! I don't care about it one bit with a title like that, but I mean... Whut.
This is weird... My cousin came for a visit yesterday, and now you guys are posting a bunch of articles related to some of the stuff we did while he was here. We always play Mario Party 3, and then you guys posted the MP N64. His favorite game ever is Super Metroid, and we actually spent a large portion of our time yesterday playing through it on an emulator to create restore points everywhere.
More on topic, I'd be all for it. Maybe add another world, improve the visuals to look less tile-based and more depthy, (Like Donkey King Country Returns 3D) and of course other small refinements, and it would be excellent!
Wow, I would love to have that! I mean, pretty much the only reason I have an N64 in my room is to play Mario Party 3 on it! The Waluigi controller would be mine!
This intrigues me... If the final product ends up being any good then I might give it a shot. I've really enjoyed Outlaws (Although I still need to beat it) so a game similar to it would be great.

Re: Weirdness: In Some Parallel Dimension, This Nintendo Cross Presentation Might Actually Be Real
One thing I noticed was that when it zooms in on the Pro Controller, and pans around, you can tell it's just a flat image, not an actual 3D render.
@MightyKrypto Nintendo has come up with that technology! It's called a "Super Guide"!
Re: Rumour: Former Rare Composer David Wise Is Working On An Unannounced Nintendo Title
Oh boy, I hope this is true! I don't care if it's DK or not- Whatever it is, I'm sure it will have an awesome soundtrack!
